I couldn't talk about fertility issues with my friends and when I got depressed she encouraged me and offered useful advice, and not just for the sake of it, but real, evidence-based knowledge, so I could see hope again. Then finally we got pregnant! I can't express how thankful I am! She has great skills and incredible knowledge of acupuncture (of course!), medicine, fertility, Chinese herbs and more! Also, her studio is in Synergy Women's Health Care. There are doctors present as well. So when I needs blood testing done she referred me to a doctor who on-site. I have PCOS and had a low supply and tongue tie with my first and wanted to get baby checked out right away so we could do what we needed to help milk production. Rosemary was amazing and came right away and helped me navigate all the things related to breastfeeding and feeding my baby. I felt heard and very well cared for in those beginning days when you are so vulnerable. We had a follow up today and she reassured me that I'm doing everything and heading in the right direction. She was really there to listen to what I had to say and my concerns and gave the advice that I needed to feel confident and keep moving forward. They asked many questions of us and we of them. They were well organized and complete. We felt informed about every step of the process and in creating our (loose) birth plan. After our last session together before my son Matthew's birth, my husband unexpectedly passed away. Needless to say, so much about my birth process and my emotional state was in flux. Brooke and Rebecca gave me another session with my new birth support partner (my sister in law) and instantly helped her feel loved and supported (she had also lost her brother, my husband). As I neared and passed my due date, induction became a hot topic. I was of advanced maternal age and with some of the stressors in my life I was feeling a bit of pressure to usher Matthew into this world. I had many a phone call with Brooke (who was to be on call for my labor) discussing pros and cons. She assured me she was on my team no matter what I chose to do. I ultimately chose to be induced and Brooke helped me anticipate what would happen at every step along the way. When my planned unmedicated labor became physically unbearable, Brooke compassionately supported me in my choice to receive both narcotics and an epidural. She even laid on the couch next to me to relieve my sister in law while I painlessly laborer and rested. Matthew was born perfect a few hours later and Brooke even captured photos of the bittersweet moment for me. All in all, I don't know how I would have survived my birth without Brooke. I could not have asked for a better resource, advocate, or friend in this process. I would not do birth without Brooke or Rebecca, for sure!

In the end, she turned out to be an even better "investment," than we'd anticipated. My physical birthing experience was a tough one--24 hours of labor that ended in an unavoidable c-section. But I really believe that because we worked with Brooke, my experience was one of empowerment and deep satisfaction (plus an incredible bonding experience with my husband) whereas it could have easily been scary and disappointing had we not had Brooke as our doula.

We have been able to meet in person when necessary but also over zoom in between those type of needed appointments. They've been great about staying on top of my medication and I never have a long wait time to see the doctor. The building is a little older but kept a very clean. I would highly recommend this naturopath and I have to friends and family. Dr Vickers offers a very compassionate type of care and is willing to work with me with my health concerns without judgement.

Chelsea responded right away to our outreach and had an appointment scheduled within 24 hours. She spent nearly 3 hours with us going over everything from bottle feeding, to breastfeeding, to pumping, to supplementing with formula. Baby ended up far exceeding her weight gain goals and we owe everything (our mental health and baby's health) to the work she did with us. While she accepts insurance, I would have paid A LOT out of pocket as the value of this session was immeasurable!

She was informative, patient, and overall just incredibly wonderful through everything. We had a stressful pregnancy and almost had to transfer to the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic at Legacy Emanuel. We had to see a perinatologist, meaning that we were classified as high risk for a while due to low amniotic fluid and potential placental insufficiency, but things turned around and we were able to stay with Dr. Murray, THANK GOODNESS. I mean nothing negative towards the doctors at MFMC at Emanuel, but my husband & I just ADORE Dr. Murray. The office staff are friendly and helpful. We haven't had any problems getting through when we've had concerns and appointments are easy to make. I've met a few of the other doctors there and we love them too. My daughter was born in September 2012 at Good Sam and Dr. Murray delivered her. We induced about a week early due to the fact that I was measuring big, and it seemed like our little angel might not be able to squeeze out!! Everything was going well until my daughter's shoulder got stuck on the way out behind my pubic bone... this is called "shoulder dystocia," which is classified as an obstetrical emergency. Dr. Murray acted swiftly and confidently. She gave me an episiotomy and pulled my daughter out (my daughter couldn't breathe due to a compressed cord because she was only part of the way out). After she was born, I began to hemorrhage and she stitched me up and gave me a shot to stop the bleeding. She saved BOTH of our lives. Throughout our pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care, Dr. Murray has been nothing short of amazing. She was calm and conscientious to our needs, and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who is looking for an OB/GYN. WE LOVE HER!!!!!
