OMG what a gem! A nice little hole in the wall that they decorated so well that makes it seem bigger. The colors, the furniture, to the flowers taped on the cup. I tried the Thai Kaffe Latte and it was tasty! The drink was made quickly and to my liking, with oat milk and light ice. Although, I had little interaction with the lady working, the tiny details made the experience. When we're in the area again, I'll definitely be visiting. Such a cute and genuine place.
A cafe with a very cute interior and Thai-style coffees next to GGP! This location is two stores down from San Tung and about a 10-15 minute walk from Golden Gate Park. It is tucked away and a bit inconspicuous, so be sure to keep an eye out if you decide to come over here. Since it is near the park, parking is difficult, and taking Muni would be best. The store itself is small, with two tightly packed tables for seating, and the order counter is surrounded by delicious-looking pastries, giving it a homey vibe. I went in the afternoon on a weekend, and there was no line at the time. I really needed a caffeine boost, saw this place on Yelp, and decided to try it out. I try my best to order coffees/drinks that are unique to the place so I can try their signatures and form my best judgment. I decided to order the Thai Caffe Banana Latte and saw that it was labeled as blended with bananas. When I went up to the counter, I asked about the consistency of the latte to ensure it was not a creamy blended drink (like a smoothie) but still liquid, like a typical latte. I am unsure if my question was confusing, but it seemed to bother the person serving me that I was asking questions, and they seemed to be getting impatient with me. When they rang me up, I paid, but I forgot to ask for almond milk since I felt rushed while ordering (even though no one else was in the store at the time). I asked if I could still add it in and pay the upcharge or separate fee. They ended up telling me to just tip them the extra $1 in cash or add it to the Square payment as a tip (I gave $2 in cash because I felt bad for inconveniencing them). When I got the drink, the coffee was strong, bold, and not as sweet as I thought it was going to be (which was fine!). Since the original coffee without banana says it has condensed milk, I thought it was going to have more of that sweet note with the banana, but I could be incorrect in assuming it would be sweeter. That said, the banana itself was mashed into the drink, and unfortunately, I did not taste it very much, though I did sip up some banana pieces. Based on the drinks and the service, perhaps this place just is not for me, but I would not tell you to avoid it either. I would recommend trying it yourself to formulate your own thoughts, since maybe my experience was a one-off and the drink I got was not the one that best represents this cafe!
I found this coffee shop on yelp. Decided to give it a try! It is a very small coffee shop one tables and two bar stoles. There's two tables outside. The inside is really cute. The service was fast. They put a little flower on the cup. The coffee was pretty good and kept me up all day.
The quality of the drinks are incredible! I love the Kafe Latte and look forward to spending my weekend mornings here.

Don't start your day here I ordered a matcha latte iced but requested no ice, because it's a raining morning , similar to what many cafés can accommodate. I was told that this modification wasn't possible. I also asked about switching to low-fat milk, but that was also not an option. For a drink over $7, the experience felt quite limited in terms of customization. At checkout, there was a prompt suggesting tipping starting at 15%, which felt a bit strong, especially considering the service structure. Overall, the experience felt very standardized with little flexibility. Might not be my preference for a casual coffee stop.

The Thai Milk Tea was not overly sweet but the Matcha Oat Mango was on the sweeter side, which I think is from the mango jam. Some matcha places make their matcha really bitter and here it wasn't. We're not from the area, so parking was a little tricky to find, the store is on the smaller side, but it's super cute inside with a cozy vibe. Overall, a nice little stop.

Very cute place with good coffee. Own by a Thai woman and it was fun to chat with her in a little Thai since I have learned a bit of the language in Thailand. She's super friendly and often feed dogs treats to dogs visiting with their owners.
I stopped here randomly to get a matcha latte (hot). With just a touch of sweetness, and an unexpected dusting of matcha powder, it hits the spot. She's resting on the marble cafe table, while I write this review. Yes, "she" because you'll have to look at her portrait to understand how beautiful she looks in her decorated cup in this eclectic, romancy cafe. You can get a variety of dainty snacks here, including brownie bites, mixed nut crackers, and almond cookies. If you need something more, there are egg bites, potato puffs, scones, and Thai curry with rice. Doggie treats and a water bowl too! Next time I'll try the specialty, Thai milk tea. My new favorite little cafe.

There are only a few seats in the cafe and there is a table outside. I got the strawberry matcha and it was really good. The cups are cute with a little flower!
Earth Tone Cafe is me and my boyfriend's go-to coffee spot in SF. The drinks are always so good. Smooth, refreshing, and never too sweet. We also love how cozy the cafe is, and the little flower details on the cups are such a cute touch. Highly recommend!
Thought this was a really good place! Drinks were good, service was friendly. Most importantly, drinks were not overly sweet! Walking through the neighborhood enjoying the warm weather when we came across the cafe. It's a small cafe and the interior is quite charming with just a few tables and chairs. Love banana coffees so ordered the Banana Thai Kaffe Latte. Cute presentation with a flower sprig taped to the side of the cup. The coffee itself was good, not bitter, and just sweet enough. The banana flavor was subtle - probably would've liked it to be a bit stronger in flavor. Otherwise, it was a good iced coffee. read more

Stopped by Earth Tone Cafe after lunch at San Tung on a whim, and it ended up being the cutest little surprise! I got the banana matcha latte, which was made with real banana purée, so you get a little banana moment with each sip. It was creamy, lightly sweet, and such a fun twist on a matcha latte. Each drink was also decorated with a tiny dried flower, which is apparently all it takes to make my entire day. It was such a thoughtful little touch and made the whole drink feel extra special. Would definitely stop by again if I'm ever back in the area! read more

Really a lovely cafe. The piccolo is a well balanced espresso drink with just the right amount of milk. I also enjoyed the sesame and almond cookies. Terrific service. The coffee cups have this sweet flower and message on them, "plant dreams, grow miracles." It is a very small space with just a few seats. Would definitely come back! read more

I visited Earth Tone Cafe and the service is what really brought my rating down. On the menu, the rose tea is only listed as a cold drink, so when my order was given to me as a hot tea instead, my boyfriend politely pointed it out. Instead of acknowledging the mistake or asking for clarification, the server bluntly said that we never specified hot or cold, even though the menu itself shows it as a cold drink by default. She did remake the drink, but the way she handled the situation just felt unfriendly. On top of that, she took back the hot drink instead of letting us keep it, which just came across as a bit stingy. Otherwise, it's such a warm, cozy, and cute spot. The decor is aesthetic and inviting, making it a great place to sit and relax. The drinks and food also look amazing, and I was excited to try them. I ordered a blueberry scone, which was flavorful and had a nice tang, though I wish it had been warmed up. The rose tea was tasty as well. It's a shame because the café itself is really lovely, and I would have rated it five stars if the service had been more professional and welcoming. I really hope they work on that, because otherwise, this place has a lot of potential. read more

My friend and I popped in to try a few drinks. I had a perfect Americano, and one of the three teas he ordered instantly became his new favorite. I'm still obsessed with the cups, too. I'm not big on writing reviews, but I had to for this place because the owner completely melted my heart. He clearly loves the neighborhood and knows every dog that comes in by name. I didn't bring my dog this trip, but I wish I had after finding such a warm, welcoming spot. Come for the drinks, stay for the people, and bring your pup to meet their new best friend. I wanted some coffee and like to support small shops. I was drawn to this cafe because a reviewer mentioned a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This was definitely not the case. The employee looked like she didn't want to be there and is in need of customer service training. I ordered an iced drink that tastes of chemicals. 1 star for the cute flowers taped on the cup and 1 star for cleanliness. read more
Earth Tone Cafe has been in my bookmarks for a while now, and I finally found some time to visit them during a weekday afternoon. The shop was mostly empty, which is what I hoped for as I wanted to enjoy my book in a comfy spot. It is a smaller sized cafe, which makes it feel very cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating offered. The shop was bright and clean, and the staff was also very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. I really wanted to try their ube latte, which I saw photos of on their Yelp, but it wasn't on the menu. I asked the barista if they still offered it, and she said she could make it for me! It came out a very vibrant purple color and I could taste and feel actual chunks of ube in it, which I was surprised by as other cafe use some sort of artificial syrup or powder. Definitely check this place out for a slow and relaxing experience with great coffee options! read more

Earth Tone's lavender latte was impressive!! Reminded me of Vietnamese Coffee (with a lavender twist), which was a pleasant surprise given lattes are usually on the milkier side. And of course, the crunchy ice made the drink that much better! Would definitely be a regular at this spot if I lived closer to it. read more
A cute mini coffee shop open until late afternoon! Dropped by around 3:15pm for afternoon coffee. Got myself a banana latte and it was great! Definition of "not too sweet" for a flavored latte. There were chunks of banana in the drink, which added to the banana flavor of the latte--it reminded me of a dirty (shot of espresso) banana milk from Boba Guys, but less sweet. This place is great for one-stop coffee, a small snack (I saw some egg bites on display and other trinkets), and/or catching up with a friend. Mini tables are provided inside and outside, as well as a dog water bowl for passing by dogs. All in all a cute coffee shop on Irving with interesting flavors on the menu. First off, me and my friends walked in around 5:45pm and we didn't realize they had closed at 5. Once we did, we said we would leave but the lady working (by herself, mind you!) said it was fine and we would be her last customers for the day. Not only did she make us all drinks wayyyyy past closing, but she was so sweet!! The decor is very cozy, feels very hole-in-the-wall. The drink was a pretty standard matcha and she had a handful of nondairy milk substitutes. Please support this business!! read more
Such an adorable cafe! I absolutely love walking here because it's right on Irving street, there's some nice seating inside and outside but not enough to settle and study. That being said the drinks are creative and delicious! I've gotten all sorts of specials here and I always end up enjoying it. The staff are very accommodating and are always very helpful when I ask for suggestions. Would definitely return again! read more
I usually don't like banana flavored things but the banana kafe latte was delicious bc it didn't taste artificial and had lil chunks of banana in it so they probably used real banana. would have liked a bit of a stronger espresso ratio tho read more

Me and my partner go here a lot! We love this place so much. It's super quaint and the staff here are super friendly. Their hot lattes are very high quality and the foam is perfect. We always get the hot banana latte and they muddle fresh banana into it! I would seriously recommend trying if you love banana and coffee and I recommend it hot! They recently also added cute pressed flowers onto their to-go cups! Super cute and we will always be returning! read more

Cute, tiny store front. Really not too much space inside the store itself, but was tidy, and the decor seemed thoughtfully curated. Marina behind the counter was super friendly, answered a bunch of questions about the menu and gave great recommendations. The drinks were good, prices were reasonable. Last time I was here, service was better, the lady took the drinks and dessert to my table. Not this time. This is a very small cafe. One table and 2 bar seats. But if you got the seat, it's very cozy and quaint. I'd love to just sit here starring out on the street, enjoying the Christmas lights on the window or just busy bodies walking pass the cafe. Outside is a bit cold in winter. The coffee beans they chose were quite aromatic and tasty. I had the shortbreads and weren't impressed. They used to have croffle but not today and not on the menu. read more

OMG!! This place was everything and more! First things first, it was really cute and clean. Actually such an adorable place. Along with this, the service was super quick and personal. I got my drink handed directly to where I was sitting! Although it's a small spot, it has quite a bit of seating inside and outside, about 7 people inside and 8 people outside. I came here to study and it was great, lots of lighting and enough outlets around to charge. Now to the drinks and food!! I ordered an Iced Thai Milk Tea and it was honestly very delicious and perfectly sweet. My friend ordered their Cafe Latte and it was super basic and delicious, which is what you want from a simple coffee choice. They also have very funky and cool flavors to try out in terms of sweetener for coffees which I will definitely be back to taste. read more
