    Coffee Caramel Latte

Super cute coffee shop with a bright, warm, and welcoming ambiance. The shop is on the smaller side but there are a few tables and chairs inside. I ordered an iced Coffee Caramel Latte, subbed oat milk, and I asked for less sweet. The drink was good. I loved the little flower and sticker on the cup.

We stopped by about 30 minutes before closing and were pleasantly surprised by how quickly our drinks were made. We ordered the Matcha Oat Mango and the Thai Milk Tea and both were delicious. The Thai Milk Tea was not overly sweet but the Matcha Oat Mango was on the sweeter side, which I think is from the mango jam. Some matcha places make their matcha really bitter and here it wasn't. We're not from the area, so parking was a little tricky to find, the store is on the smaller side, but it's super cute inside with a cozy vibe. Overall, a nice little stop.

Very cute place with good coffee. Own by a Thai woman and it was fun to chat with her in a little Thai since I have learned a bit of the language in Thailand. She's super friendly and often feed dogs treats to dogs visiting with their owners.

I stopped here randomly to get a matcha latte (hot). With just a touch of sweetness, and an unexpected dusting of matcha powder, it hits the spot. She's resting on the marble cafe table, while I write this review. Yes, "she" because you'll have to look at her portrait to understand how beautiful she looks in her decorated cup in this eclectic, romancy cafe. You can get a variety of dainty snacks here, including brownie bites, mixed nut crackers, and almond cookies. If you need something more, there are egg bites, potato puffs, scones, and Thai curry with rice. Doggie treats and a water bowl too! Next time I'll try the specialty, Thai milk tea. My new favorite little cafe.

Tiny tiny coffee shop with limited seating inside and out front. Their drink menu is pretty large with unique flavored coffee, tea, and matcha options. I tried the hot banana Thai kafe latte which is their thai style coffee with real mashed up banana, LOVED it. Each cup comes with a cute dried flower on it too! I really enjoyed this drink, now I want to add mashed bananas to everything

This is the tiniest little coffee shop and it's super cute. There's a limited menu of drinks and a few bites. They have little succulent plants as well. There are only a few seats in the cafe and there is a table outside. I got the strawberry matcha and it was really good. The cups are cute with a little flower!

Really a lovely cafe. The piccolo is a well balanced espresso drink with just the right amount of milk. I also enjoyed the sesame and almond cookies. Terrific service. The coffee cups have this sweet flower and message on them, "plant dreams, grow miracles." It is a very small space with just a few seats. Would definitely come back!

Cute flowers taped on the cup!

I wanted some coffee and like to support small shops. I was drawn to this cafe because a reviewer mentioned a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This was definitely not the case. The employee looked like she didn't want to be there and is in need of customer service training. I ordered an iced drink that tastes of chemicals. 1 star for the cute flowers taped on the cup and 1 star for cleanliness.

I visited Earth Tone Cafe and the service is what really brought my rating down. On the menu, the rose tea is only listed as a cold drink, so when my order was given to me as a hot tea instead, my boyfriend politely pointed it out. Instead of acknowledging the mistake or asking for clarification, the server bluntly said that we never specified hot or cold, even though the menu itself shows it as a cold drink by default. She did remake the drink, but the way she handled the situation just felt unfriendly. On top of that, she took back the hot drink instead of letting us keep it, which just came across as a bit stingy. Otherwise, it's such a warm, cozy, and cute spot. The decor is aesthetic and inviting, making it a great place to sit and relax. The drinks and food also look amazing, and I was excited to try them. I ordered a blueberry scone, which was flavorful and had a nice tang, though I wish it had been warmed up. The rose tea was tasty as well. It's a shame because the café itself is really lovely, and I would have rated it five stars if the service had been more professional and welcoming. I really hope they work on that, because otherwise, this place has a lot of potential.

    Cutest coffee cup ever!

My friend and I popped in to try a few drinks. I had a perfect Americano, and one of the three teas he ordered instantly became his new favorite. I'm still obsessed with the cups, too. I'm not big on writing reviews, but I had to for this place because the owner completely melted my heart. He clearly loves the neighborhood and knows every dog that comes in by name. I didn't bring my dog this trip, but I wish I had after finding such a warm, welcoming spot. Come for the drinks, stay for the people, and bring your pup to meet their new best friend. Truly a special place.

A sweet little (the space is tiny) cafe. There was room for a couple of tables and people were working on their laptops. You order at the counter and the drinks came out quickly. I tried a cookie and it was delicious.

    Ube latte

Earth Tone Cafe has been in my bookmarks for a while now, and I finally found some time to visit them during a weekday afternoon. The shop was mostly empty, which is what I hoped for as I wanted to enjoy my book in a comfy spot. It is a smaller sized cafe, which makes it feel very cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating offered. The shop was bright and clean, and the staff was also very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. I really wanted to try their ube latte, which I saw photos of on their Yelp, but it wasn't on the menu. I asked the barista if they still offered it, and she said she could make it for me! It came out a very vibrant purple color and I could taste and feel actual chunks of ube in it, which I was surprised by as other cafe use some sort of artificial syrup or powder. Definitely check this place out for a slow and relaxing experience with great coffee options!

Cute cafe that has a little seating and a good Americano. Hot and cold drinks even Thai tea. Nice decor and there's WiFi and a few plugs. It's not a huge spot but welcome addition to the neighborhood! I recommend.

We went straight to the tablet to place our orders. We ordered two Signature Cream Top (Espresso and Hojicha) and the Sohn Breakfast Sandwich. Both drinks were really good. The coffee had a great flavor. The hojicha was strong and delicious. I liked that we could really taste the hojicha, and it wasn't too milky. The sandwich was warm and served with these soft, flaky, square croissant buns. The egg had a soft tofu-like texture. The melted cheese pulled it all together. The onion jam was good but I could do with a little less. Nonetheless, I would not opt out of getting the onion jam; it was unique. The cafe is very spacious and aesthetically pleasing. I love the interior and the way it's decorated. It's modern, warm, and inviting. We would definitely love to come back one day.

I've had this place saved for awhile, and I was anxious to try it on a sunny Saturday, knowing that reviews often mention a long wait. To my surprise, my visit went well and I waited under 30 minutes!! **There's 2 separate lines - To dine in, and to go. I ordered to go. FOOD: 9/10 MATCHA: 8/10 AMBIANCE: 10/10 SERVICE: 9/10 What I ordered: Kimchi Fried Rice ($14) Iced Matcha with Oat-milk and Sweetener ($6) FOOD: 9/10 The kimchi fried rice was so good! I loved how they were not shy with the garnishments (seaweed and green onions). I love that it already came with a well cooked fried egg and I did not have to pay for extra which is rare. I did notice the fried rice was a little bit on the sweeter side but not too sweet, hence why I give it a 9/10. MATCHA: 8/10 They have GOOD quality matcha! I give it an 8 because personally, it was too strong for me despite paying extra for sweetener. It honestly did not taste like they added sweetener so I had to add my own at home. But honestly, their Matcha can easily be a 9/10 rating for those who just like matcha and milk on it's own. There's no doubt the matcha was good quality, whisked well, and not grainy. AMBIANCE: 10/10 I loved the aesthetic and ambiance at Sohn. It's very spacious both for the waiting area and to dine in. There's an upstairs and downstairs, and I noticed there was kitchen-side seating as well. Sohn is modern, sleek, and elegant but not overly decorated. SERVICE: 9/10 Although when ordering to go, you order on your own through the kiosk so you don't really encounter much interactions with the staff. However, there is a staff member that was at the front, directing people when to come in and wait, etc. and she was very nice! I even asked her a few questions about the menu and she was very detailed and kind. I definitely would come back but also in no rush to, since parking wasn't that great.

After 2 appointments this morning, I made good on my intention to walk out earlier and get lunch for my father and myself. As I approached, I noticed a group of young men having a friendly gathering after placing their orders. I noticed later that they shared the famous Kaya toast among other things. Poll workers were also enjoying their lunches. Upon entering, I was directed to the menu to the right of the register which had explanations of the bunwiches. Because of a coconut allergy, I asked if the pandesal bun had any coconut. My server asked a coworker, but to be sure he could ask the chef. I decided to order the featured Asparagus Egg Salad Bunwich and the Shrimpwich that a few of the Yelp reviewers said was a must. I found my server to be friendly and respectful which I appreciated. It made me glad that I had paid a visit. While waiting on my bunwiches, I placed an online order through Toast local for the Food for the Gods and Almond Jam Cookies. It said that it would be 15-19 minutes about the time my bunwiches would be ready. My server brought my order in a paper bag with a handle out to me as I was waiting on the bench and even checked a second time that the desserts were packed in the bag. He wished me a good day. I would have to say that I enjoyed the featured Asparagus Egg Salad Bunwich more than the Shrimpwich. The Shrimpwich had a little spice to it that I could not appreciate which my father did. The Shrimpwich has a panko fried shrimp patty, coleslaw with shredded carrots, takuan remoulade, and avocado sauce. I found out that takuan is a Japanese pickle made from Sun-dried and fermented daikon radish and is used as a palate cleanser. The Asparagus Egg Salad Bunwich had asparagus and mushroom kakiage which is a crispy Japanese fritter made by tossing the asparagus, thinly sliced mushrooms, and shredded onions in light tempura batter and deep-frying them together to give an airy fritter with lots of flavor. The Bunwich also has miso mustard sauce, sliced cucumber, and mizuna. I had to look up what mizuna was, too. Mizuna is Japanese mustard greens full of vitamins A, C, and K and the antioxidant lutein (an antioxidant taken in a supplement for age-related macular degeneration). The mizuna was very fresh and green used as baby greens for the Bunwich. The Food for the Gods was food for Dad. It was moist with the ingredients of Medjool dates found in Mediterranean cuisines, toasted walnuts with omega-3 fats, and molasses. I had never had cookies containing umeboshi which I discovered to be a salt-pickled fruit related to the apricot. Umeboshi is salted, often dyed with red perilla leaves, and dried yielding a wrinkled texture. Umeboshi is a superfood in Japanese culture that is used to help digestion and bloating. It contains vitamins A and C and iron. My father loves strawberries and the cookies have a strawberry plum jam. We thoroughly enjoyed having these cookies with our green tea. I would buy these almond jam cookies to share with a friend. I was introduced to a lot of foods that have health benefits. I would be happy to come again.
