We then took the regular train, bought tickets at the desk and the workers were super friendly and helpful and told us where to go and it would tell us where our train track would be departing from. It was very bustling on a Thursday afternoon, once we got our track everyone ran to try to get a seat. Lots of stores and restaurants. For 3 adult one way tickets it was about $26 in total so a little over $8 a ticket one way for an adult. Located in the middle of town and not too far from hotels and public transportation. Took less than an hour to get to Foxborough and was pretty convenient.

The station was buzzing with people rushing to get to work and futbol fans trying to get to the stadium. Police were everywhere. World Cup volunteers and train station staff were very helpful and patient. We paid $85 for roundtrip train tickets from Boston to Foxborough. Normally, it's under $20. We booked the 9am train which is boarding group A. We started lining up to the side of South Station. They had free sunscreen, water, and bug repellent wipes for us. We didn't board until after 9:45am and it was chaotic. Some people were running towards the train instead of staying in an organized line - most of them were foreigners that don't believe in rules, manners and decorum which is beyond the station's control. The train was open seating. There are food stalls, shops, and pharmacy at South Station. The restrooms are not the cleanest as one would expect from a train station at a big city. We've also used this station to get to different parts of Boston before and after the World Cup. The trains were alright.

Keeping it at the hotel would have been majorly inconvenient. The hotel was quite a hike away from the train station I would be departing from. A few google searches revealed that there was a place I could store my luggage just adjacent to the train station -- score! You actually have to go to the bus terminal to find Greyhound Package Express. From the street level, go up to the 2nd or 3rd floor. Walk towards the round atrium and turn left -- an elevator should be on your left that will go up to the 5th floor. Take this elevator (or -- if you want some exercise -- take the stairs just next to the elevator) up to the 5th floor. You'll exit just at Greyhound Package Express. For only $5 a bag, you can stash your luggage here between checking out of your hotel and exploring all that Boston has to offer. My sight-seeing was far from over on my day of departure, so the $5 was chump change in comparison to lugging my suitcase around or figuring out what to do with it at the hotel. Be forewarned that it's a cash-only business, but there is an ATM in the lobby that you can use. It only dispenses $20 bills, so buy yourself a snack in the adjacent convenience mart to break the bill and make your life easier. Pay when you drop your bags off. Just like a coat check, you'll receive a tag, and so will your luggage. Keep your tag safe, as you'll need it to retrieve your luggage at the end of the day. All said and done, this is a handy well-kept secret in Boston, but one that I'm happy to share after the great experience I had!

Per another reviewer, I opted for large plastic totes from target ( about $5 each) instead of cardboard boxes that can be easier to puncture, smashed, or wet and damaged. I did not fill the boxes to more than 30ish pounds and used almost 3 roles of duct tape to secure the totes. I wasnt leaving anything to chance! After I paid for shipping through busfreighter, I attached the gpx labels clearly on the totes and just dropped them off at the greyhound station in Boston. The tracking was available and I checked every few days to see where my totes were, but it really wasn't necessary since after 7 days, I got a call from the Oakland Greyhound Station that my totes had arrived and were ready for pickup. The totes were in good condition with little if any damage. Amazing! This service was cheap, convenient, and friendly! If you are looking to ship things that aren't time sensitive and breakable, Greyhound is the way to go!

Standing at the ticket machine we were trying to decide how many rides we wanted to buy. Fortunately there was a MBTA agent on hand. He suggested we buy a one day unlimited Charlie card for $11.00. We each purchased one. Then we took the blue line to get to Faneuil Hall. Later we also took the SL3 to get to Seaport from Airport station. The Charlie Card was perfect. And every driver we encountered was friendly and very helpful.

The coach overheated on the…read morehighway and eventually broke down completely. 48 of us were stranded on the shoulder for a long stretch before police showed up and moved us to a rest area for safety, since CoachRun never sent anyone to manage the situation on site. Once at the rest area, we were told a replacement coach would take six hours to arrive, then another two hours to finish the trip. Do the math and some passengers were looking at arriving home around 5am, nearly seven hours late. I ended up calling my partner to drive an hour and a half each way to come get me, and we didn't get home until 1am. I contacted CoachRun the next day. Their only offer was a refund of my ticket. No acknowledgment of the stranded-on-a-highway part, no compensation for the delay, nothing for the 48 people who were left without a real plan for hours. A refund covers the ticket I didn't get full value from. It doesn't cover being stuck on a highway shoulder at night or making other people rearrange their evening to bail you out. Mechanical breakdowns happen, I get that. What's not okay is having no real contingency plan and treating a multi-hour stranding like a routine refund request. If you're considering CoachRun, just know what "on-time arrival" actually means to them if something goes wrong.

Took the bus from NYC to Boston. Was supposed to be 5:30 PM from NYC, 9:50 PM to Boston. I got to Boston at 2:30 AM. The bus broke down (it happens) and we were left stranded on the side of the highway an hour and a half from our destination. The bus broke down approximately 5-6 times in the middle of the highway until finally the bus passengers started smelling smoke and a unknown fluid was leaking on people, me included. Finally the bus driver stopped and we had to call the cops because CoachRun was not providing us any solution to get to the destination. We were told to get back on the bus that was smoking or go in cop cars to a rest stop to get an uber since no one would pick us up on the highway. There was no communication if a bus was ever coming and was under the impression the company would pay for our transport to the destination. Well turns out, NO, they refused compensation for that. We finally get to the rest stop and there are NO UBERS because we are in the middle of nowhere. I had to pay a random person to bring me home or I would be stranded since there was no communication about a backup bus or solution to get us home. If you want to see the fun that was had, I've even attached photos of the liquid dripping on me and us on the side of the highway. Anyways that is my experience with CoachRun. Enjoy :)

I called Boston Executive Limo Services and they were able to accommodate my less than 48 hour request. Everything worked as it was supposed to: I got follow up email confirmation, had a text from my driver when I landed and he was right there with the car when I arrived, even with my flight being 20mins early. Super professional, immaculate car and great efficient service.
