    West Coat sushi roll

Such a great place! Loved everything about it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Delicious flavorful food, amazing service and the whole atmosphere with the 2 levels set and a cute outdoor area![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got the west coast sushi roll as a starter, it was to die for! The main dish, mahi-mahi, was so good, just so flavorful all together and so fresh, with fish cooked perfectly, and so was their burger!

East Coast Provisions is always great! They specialize in seafood, but also offer other items for those that don't indulge. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great option for all occasions, whether you're catching up with a friend or celebrating something special.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Reservations can be made on OpenTable and they're also able to host private events. The staff is very accommodating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have happy hour from 3-6pm at the bar or patio, though they let us participate from an indoor table since it wasn't busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their HH includes a variety of small plates and drinks. I asked if they have any flavored nonalcoholic lemonades and they offered to make me one. Food portions are generous and everything is flavorful and cooked tenderly.

East Coast Provisions is our favorite! As Shane and I love seafood, ECP has been a consistent dining spot in Carytown, with 3-4 visits in the last year plus, all leaving us exceptionally happy. Our most recent stop in was for Richmond Restaurant Week and it was fantastic! We started off with drinks and the calamari & tuna with crispy rice. They were both delicious but the calamari was a standout. For entrees, Shane got the blackened mahi and I ordered the crab pasta. The fish was cooked perfectly & the spice on the pasta was unexpected but amazing. For dessert, we shared the espresso mousse and apple crumble. The espresso mousse was a high note to end the night on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]To top it off, we were tucked in an adorable, intimate nook on the second floor with the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plus, our server Nate was warm & prompt. We're always happy for a date night here!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect place to enjoy a happy hour especially on a snowy day in front the fireplace.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the mini sliders, the salmon tacos and the truffle fries. The staff was amazing when our waiter was busy two others servers made sure we were taken care of. The prices, the food, the quality, the service magnificent. I can't wait to visit again.

    Roared rockfish over polenta

First time we have been here. We started with a fried oyster small platter. The oysters were on a bed of corn salad. It was delicious! I would actually have that as my entree next time! Entrees Husband had crab pasta, which looked and smelled spicy! He said it was but that it was excellent and that he would order it again. I had roasted rockfish over polenta with was topped with mixed strong greens. The fish was perfect, very buttery and tender. Servings were large. Husband cleaned his plate. I took home half for lunch tomorrow. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Interesting space, we were in the small front room much has windows and a fireplace.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was attentive but not intrusive, food delivery was on time. All in all, great meal we'll be back. PS order the fried oysters! Perfect!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very elegant but not wildly expensive date night spot in Carytown.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were there for restaurant week. Service was fast and the waitress was helpful with the menu options. My favorite was the corn miso soup. They give a small portion but the soup is heavy and it's the perfect amount to still enjoy the rest of the meal. My partner had the tuna roll and I the lobster risotto. The risotto was good but not my favorite compared to others I have had. Overall a positive experience.

We had an amazing early dinner for NYE here. Every bite was perfect and the service was excellent.

I kicked off Richmond Restaurant Week at East Coast Provisions. The RRW menu did not look appealing, so I ordered off the regular menu. I started with the truffle parm fries. It was as if I was eating a bucket of crumbs, all the fries were so small. For my main course, I ordered the crab cakes. My food was cold. On the bright side, the waiter was friendly and the restaurant is cute.

CHILLED SEAFOOD TOWER** |4# lobster, |# chilled king crab, 4oz lump crab cocktail. Sea shrimp cocktail, Oysters on the 1/2 Shell

Visited East Coast Provisions with my dad for dinner and overall had a decent experience. The service was great, attentive without being overbearing and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere was clean, modern, and relaxed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the chilled seafood tower for us to share, which looked incredible and delivered on freshness. I tried one of the lump crab cocktails and a few of the shrimp, and both were excellent. Super fresh, clean flavor, and clearly high-quality seafood. My dad loved the whole tower. He followed that with the short rib ragout and said it was solid, rich, and satisfying. I decided to go with the 16oz ribeye. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out closer to medium well. It was slightly dry on the inside and didn't seem particularly well seasoned. The glaze on top was nice and added flavor, but overall it just felt like a missed opportunity. I finished the steak but didn't touch the sides that came with it. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out either. Looking back, I probably just made the mistake of ordering steak at a place that clearly shines with seafood. If I come back, I'll be ordering from the raw bar or one of the mains like the scallops or blackened mahi. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great ambiance, excellent service, and impressive seafood.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll chalk this up as a 3 out of 5 experience, not bad, just not quite the right order this time.

My mother and I just finished getting a pedicure on a Friday night and decided to pop in. Initially we were asked did we have reservation which we didn't one minute we were told we could be seated and the next nothing available.. weird.. no biggie we asked if we could sit at the bar instead since we were already here.. freezing as its closest to where you walk in but also hungry and been dying to try this place so just kept our jackets on and ordered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Eventually one of the bartenders closed the door and all was well:)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was restaurant week but the menu did not include anything I wanted to try that. Isn't so went with the regular menu and so glad we did! Starting with cocktails we tried the margarita and the prosecco drink.. phenomenal that we had to do a 2nd round. Oyster spot you have to try the oysters! If I could have licked the plate I would I think I even ate the garnish lol, a bit salty but none the less delicious. I tried the lobster roll w/ a side of truffle fries and my mom the shrimp and grits! Of course we have to try each others dish and left fat and happy lol. The flavors yall were everything! I look forward to going back and trying more off the r menu! It is pricey I will not lie but everything g well worth it

I visit East Coast at least once a month. Every time I go I get the octopus and calamari. Hands down the best calamari in Richmond. If the bar downstairs is full, don't hesitate to see if the bar upstairs is open. Love their happy hour too especially the dealers choice. Service has always been great.

Excellent meal for a rainy night in Richmond. We were able to find parking on the street and luckily a table during Easter dinner. We were pleasantly greeted with the wait staff. We initially were seated upstairs however there was a draft and so we switched to downstairs, no issues. We ordered the grilled oysters, veggie bowl and the blackened mahi mahi. All of the dishes were deliciously prepared! The grilled oysters, hubby's first time trying this, and he enjoyed them! Came with 5 pieces with a broiled layer of parm cheese. Followed by my veggie bowl, which were veggies on top of rice grits. It also had a kick of gochujang sauce and Kim chi! Hubby got the mahi mahi, he absolutely loved this! I liked the corn and bean salad it came with too! Overall really enjoyed our meal and this restaurant!

I was there for a private event. The crowd was warm and wonderfully mixed. There was a little chat before the event began that basically told us to not get kicked out by being mean or non-inclusive. Not sure how I felt about that. Parking in Carytown is its own contact sport. Come early -- your blood pressure will thank you. I parked 6 blocks away and was lucky to get that. Bottom line: Weird, welcoming, and worth every lap around the block looking for a spot if you're into crowds and are looking for something different.

The charcuterie board we ordered was excellent and a highlight of the night. The location is also great for nightlife. That said, the drinks didn't quite hit the mark for me, and the service was inconsistent. We were told guests are expected to be quiet during the sets, yet another group was talking loudly and nothing was addressed, which felt a bit uneven. Overall, it's not a place I'd return to, and I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a more diverse crowd.
