I typically do all of my own work on this truck but will definitely use East Derry Tire again for anything beyond what I am capable of doing.

I was very…read morepleased when I received a quote over the phone for 60K service work from Tires Too that was significantly less than quotes I received from other businesses in the area. There was no hard sell for unnecessary work either, which was refreshing. They had room in their schedule for my car within a couple of days of my call. I dropped the car off at 8:45 a.m. and was told that it would likely be ready by noon or 1:00. I arrived at noon and ended up waiting until 2:30. Then I got the bill, which was more than double what I had been quoted on the phone. When I asked about that, I was told that they were sorry, but some of their employees answering the phone were new and the one I had spoken to had failed to include labor in the quote. I can say that the employees I spoke to were unfailingly polite and the waiting room was comfortable and pleasant. Thus far, the car seems to be in good shape from the service it received (see the update below - one problem has not been fixed). I knocked one star off my rating for the longer than expected wait - I would have gotten a ride back that arrived later had I known it would take that long. I knocked off two stars for sticker shock when the work was done and there was no offer on the part of Tires Too to adjust the bill in any way because of a major error on their part. Caveat emptor: Get your estimate in writing from these guys! Update: One of the things I asked Tires Too to take care of during the appointment above was to see why the tire pressure monitoring system dashboard light kept coming on. I had topped off the tires several times before bringing the car in, but none seemed to need much and I couldn't figure out which one was leaking. Things seemed good for a couple of days after I picked up the car from Tires Too, but the light came on again today. The problem is obviously not fixed and I will have to bring the car in to someone else to take care of it. I'm knocking off another star for that.

I have been a VIP customer for years. Maybe more than 10…read more They make a lot of mistakes. Over the years, I have been willing to let it go because they are reasonably friendly and try to help. That unfortunately does not overcome the severe deficiency in making sure their work is good. VIP example mistakes: has failed to tighten wheel nuts, oil drain plugs. They have damaged my car using impact wrench where they should not (spare mount). The most recent VIP mistake: I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotate prior to a road trip. One of the wheel lugs were not torqued fully. They were snug, not tight. This condition is well known to cause fatigue failure of wheel studs. Happened to me. See the pics. Think 80 mph, Florida Freeway, nighttime, Florida aggressive drivers. It could have been a bad wreck triggered by the wheel coming off at speed. When I called VIP, they seemed most concerned with denial of responsibility. I was pissed because their work nearly resulted in a incredibly dangerous situation. People die from high speed wrecks and VIP seemed more concerned with denying responsibility. After all these years, I am done with these people. The lack of concern that they induced a dangerous situation is not acceptable. If you use these people to do work on your car, do yourself a favor, go buy a torque wrench and double check their work. Their words saying they check their work are not matched by actual results. Bottom line. These folks are risky and you might get a nasty surprise. Maybe even crash and die. PS. The VIP customer service responds to these YELP reviews are totally hollow. Look at other reviews. My experience with VIP is not unique. If they really fixed their shortcomings, all the bad reviews will be old.

Earlier this year, they successfully replaced my rear tires (also 21-inch, though slightly taller), so I trusted them to handle this job. I scheduled an appointment, and they ordered the tires in advance. Everything seemed set. Also, I have been going to Sullivan for over 20 years, so this shop is not new to me. After handing over my car, I waited 45 minutes only to be told that their tire machine couldn't fit my front rims due to size limitations. This was baffling, given they had no issue with the rear 21-inch wheels months prior. With ten's of thousands of Tesla Model Ys on the road, how could Sullivan Tire's online booking system schedule a service for Michelin tires they sell, yet fail to flag that their equipment cannot mount or dismount the 21-inch front rims? Ten minutes later, they returned my car with an apology, and the manager, who has always been polite, sent me on my way. However, when I inspected my car before leaving, I noticed something infuriating: one of my front wheels, which was pristine with no scratches or curb rash before the visit, now had fresh gouges and damage to the black paint. I immediately brought this to the manager's attention, pointing out the contradiction--how could their machine not fit the rim if they clearly attempted to remove it and caused this damage? The lack of transparency is what stings most. Instead of owning up to the mistake and admitting their technician tried and failed, damaging my wheel in the process, they tried to brush it under the rug, hoping I wouldn't notice. The manager took photos and promised their wheel repair service would fix the rim, but this doesn't erase the inconvenience. I left with no new tires and a damaged wheel, meaning I'll have to return to deal with their mistake. This isn't just about the damage--it's about trust. If they had been upfront, saying, "We tried, messed up, and will make it right," I'd feel differently. Instead, their attempt to hide the issue shattered any confidence I had in their service. Do yourself a favor and take your car elsewhere. Trust is earned, not given, and Sullivan Tire in Derry has lost mine completely.
