Sat outside, and immediately noticed a lack of service. The service, or the lack there of needs to be mentioned first. Waiter failed to acknowledge my order. Table was dirty and required cleaning. When pointed out to the waiter, it appeared my request to wipe the table off seemed to inconvenience him. After ordering two drinks, waiter took nearly 10 minutes to bring them out. When asked to bring out silverware and napkins again the waiter was clearly being inconvenienced to the point of silent rudeness. Whereas, a table of business men sat down, and to our amazement the waiter instantly came to life. He told the business men's drink order and returned with the drinks in under 3 minutes. The business men were offered drinks several times. We however were never asked if we wanted more to drink. East End grills plays continuous country music, where the volume is set a bit too loud. Making it difficult to hold a conversation. Moreover it forced the neighboring tables conversations to be all the louder. Food was slow to arrive, and was decent in quality. I would state the tots were good and crunchy. The bathroom was passable at best. Both soap dispensers were empty. But there was paper towels, what a plus. Doubtful I'll return to this eatery. One I would ask anyone to reconsider vs. recommending to anyone. All in all, horrible service, with decent food. Oh one last point, we noted the posting of this review on the receipt. read more

I ordered the "you can't beet this veggie burger", side of fries as well as the Italian spinach as the other side. I don't have to say these were the best french fries I've ever had any restaurants they're cutting thin slices instead of the traditional trucks that were used to. They were crispy and very tender. Usually, I douse my French fries in ketchup, but these were so tasty, I didn't need too. The vegan burger was perfect. I had them add avocado and grilled onions and it tasted amazing. The only condiments I put on there with ketchup and mustard. It was an extremely satisfying meal. don't be fooled by the outside its deceptive the inside is filled with history and a sports bar and a lot of seating space. Always my go-to spot. The staff is friendly and fast, and the bar selection is huge. The wide variety on the menu is sure to please a crowd. We showed him a spot that had goo on it he look irritated that we asked for that to be cleaned. Then he took 10 min to serve us drinks. He never asked us if we wanted something more to drink. We had to repeatedly ask for things ie water, mayo, etc... The country music was so loud we couldn't hold a normal level conversation. The table of businessmen next to us were talking over the music. The however appeared to be served timely and attentively. For what we ordered cost was too expensive. Very dissatisfied with this experience. My second time dining here but definitely my last! I am a regular here at east end. Everything is usually amazing from the food to the drinks to the service. Today it wasn't crowded at all but the server was trash. It took him about 15 minutes to come to the table first off. I had to go inside to the bar to order my own refill on my drink, where he was standing by the bar sipping and chilling, like I said they weren't crowded. After getting our food, I asked for silverware and didn't get any. Instead I saw him through the window doing absolutely nothing. I had to go inside myself to get napkins and silverware. read more

Nice selection of drafts yet went with a bottle of blue moon. The bartender was very busy yet never missed a beat. Service was great. My buffalo chicken quesadilla arrived with ranch (wing thing) and sour cream (quesadilla item) It was odd that this quesadilla came with no salsa. I would say it was a chicken wrap not a Mexican quesadilla regardless it was good. East End has never failed. They also have a nice patio. Tuesday they do group trivia. This is a very friendly place. Terrible service, mediocre food. As previous reviews stated, their "signature" burger should be banned from cuisine for life.

Some friends and I went to East End for dinner and we had one of the worst dining experiences imaginable. The food that managed to make it to our table ranged from fair (red beans and rice) to horrible (seared Ahi tuna) and none of it was worth the price. Add to that East End has the audacity to automatically add 18% gratuity on food AND on drinks whether you dine in or take out which is outrageous. We ordered drinks and one of them was horrific so we asked the waitress to bring something else instead and she stated they would not replace it. I asked for the manager who seemed annoyed that he was summoned for such a trivial matter and he flatly refused to replace the drink as well. (His name was Jamie.) And for the coup de grace, one person never got her meal because the waitress completely forgot to place the order and then had the nerve to say it would be right out when it had not even been given to the kitchen. (The restaurant was virtually empty so it was not like the waitress was under a lot of pressure.) By the time it was close to being ready, everyone else was finished with their meals so that order was canceled. The next time we are in the area, we'll go to the Half Shell which is near East End. They have better food, better prices, better wait staff and much better (and smarter) managers. We were going to go there but decided to try something different. Awful service! Rude wait staff and just a terrible experience. I found all three servers rude as they continuously walked past our table and ignored us. I have been here a few times for trivia. I have ordered a variety of foods hoping something would be good and I was disappointed every time. One time a friend ordered chicken fingers and when he got them they were burned. He asked to exchange, since they were burnt, and the waitress said that was not allowed. So he was forced to pay for inedible food. Their 18% tip after 6pm sign is extremely small and placed above the bar and it is not written anywhere on the menu nor is there a sign on the door. So unless you're really looking for it you won't see it. I believe due to the guaranteed tip, the servers do the absolute minimum because they're still gonna get paid. I know this is a bar and bar food isn't gourmet but this place's food really scraps the bottom of the barrel. Eat here and you will be sorely disappointed. read more

I love East End Grill. The food is nothing ground breaking, but its solid and the prices are just right. I love the vibe and ambiance of the bar. I frequent here a lot and the bartenders know me and what I like to drink. It's so nice to walk into a place where "everyone knows your name." Yeah, I know that's cheesy. They can cook a really good steak. Their chicken sandwiches are also great if you are looking for something light. Here's a tip: they have several "off menu" items. You can get "BBQ Sliders" if you ask for them. Also, if you look at the side menu on the green board there are a list of items that aren't on the menu including chicken wings, a thai chicken appetizer and much more. People also love the "Arlington BBQ Nachos" but I have yet to try them. read more

Visited this place because of the location near my hotel and the server seemed annoyed that my group was there. The receipt didn't print well so I could barely read the print....I left a 20% tip....little did I know they have a random obscure sign that says an 18% gratuity will be added to checks after 6. The server never told us this was their policy. How was I to know I should search the bar for signs about gratuity? They got a 38% tip from us. They definitely weren't worth it. I love this place. Yes, it's a typical bar in a way. However, they have lunch specials with meat and sides. I went on Friday and enjoyed the prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes, with broccoli and cheese. I went earlier last week, too. The drinks are nice and strong and cheap. The chicken was too thick and should have been broken down more. It left me asking where is the cheese? The sour cream was old on my plate and way too many olives. Terrible food, extremely overpriced. We ordered the crawfish dip and received a tiny cup of the dip and huge plate of burnt fried pita bread. Dip had no flavor at all. Then I got a shrimp Po boy-3 pieces of fried-all-to-hell shrimp on completely dry bread (no sauce of any kind!) with some shredded lettuce and tomatoes, that's it! Not my idea of a po boy! My husbands steak sandwich was just as bad.
