We opted for a pick-up order via East End's drive thru. In spite of the quick turn, the team was incredibly friendly, chatty, and attentive. Unfortunately, the ultimate cheese pizza was forgettable. Akin to flatbread, the crust was flavorless and brought nothing to the overall taste. The red sauce did add some brightness to the dish, and the four cheeses stepped up and provided a bit of savory-salty goodness. I came in one day and simply got the recommended 4 cheese pizza to take back home. So good. Crisp crust but yet soft where it counts and equal balances of flavorful sauce and cheeses. Needless to say, many slices never made it home. East End Pizza is elevating their menu with a few more higher end entrees. Their experienced chef is fine tuning his veal parmesan dish and do believe he has it perfect. On Saturday, they have this as their special for the evening and my wife and I had it to go back at our house. It was amazing. First off it came with side pasta and garlic bread. My wife is from Michigan and she knows pasta very well. She shared how it was perfectly cooked and the little tomatoes and seasoning added great notes to bring out the flavor of the pasta. The garlic bread, well my wife ate all of hers before we got home so of course I had to share mine when we got home. Soft warm and buttery on the inside and crisp on the outside. The veal parmesan was a generously thick piece of bone-in veal with a perfect ratio of sauce to cheese on the lightly breaded golden top. Super tender, utensils glided right through with every mouth watering bite. Best veal parm I have ever had. I will be coming back. East End Pizza Co. has opened its doors for breakfast and I am so ecstatic! Though the menu is somewhat limited for breakfast as they figure out what works, it is so worth it to come here for a brunch meet up with friends or a morning study session. There is a lot of open spaces for larger groups both inside and on the patio (which is dog-friendly!) and plenty of parking spaces. I would 100% recommend getting the Figgy Piggy - the kolache crust is perfectly made for that melt-in-your-mouth feeling! This place just opened up and my parents wanted to give them a try! After checking out the menu, we chose a 16 inch pizza with pepperoni, meatball, and sausage. We got a side Caesar salad and the fresh fried mozzarella balls. They have lots of seating inside and lots of parking outside. Service was great and we had no issues. This is our third time to try East End. The first time it was just okay when we picked it up. The second time we dined in and the cashier/waitress was unfriendly. She seemed so uninterested in taking orders. Never smiled. The pizza was good but I wasn't crazy about the Caesar salad. The dressing just wasn't good. We decided to give it one more chance and we placed an order for pickup. When we arrived ( our text said it was ready) the pizza was ready, but the wings weren't (We had to wait another 10 minutes), so by the time we got home pizza was cold. Good pizza! I have been spoiled by NY pizza, and I am telling you this pizza is as close to NY as you can get in Kerrville. Wood fired oven, thin crust, not too much sauce.
