Today was the first time that I had breakfast here and it was surprisingly quite good. I had the biscuits and gravy which came with two eggs any style and a side of potatoes, or fruit. The gravy was good, but it was a different kind of recipe that's not typical, in my opinion. It had more of a spicy, nutmeg taste to it. That was my only complaint- other than that, I had a very good experience and I will be back. Hidden gem inside this small town. Stopped by for brunch and was seated quickly. Great customer service and the food did not disappoint. If you're a brunch fan stop in and order Jakes Burrito and the Quartz Hill Burrito. Both had so much flavor and were packed with eggs, potatoes and love. This place was so cute!!! As soon as you walk in there is such a good vibe to the place. From the little signs on the wall, to the cute servers aprons, to the yellow and gray decor. I would suggest sitting in the first section of the restaurant where the grill is because it's cuter there and more put together than the second section nearest to the restroom. There is two reasons I gave this place four stars instead of five. The first reason is for a cafe they sure don't know how to make coffee. But, maybe it was a bad batch. And as for the food the chicken fried steak which was good, but needed salt and pepper which was on the table, so not a big deal. The positives were the texture and gravy of the chicken fried steak was perfect, so was the home fires in the side and salsa! You get a lot of food for a reasonable price. You can even can get a huge delicious pancake instead of toast. Plus, the staff had their regular customers who greeted them and they greeted like family which really added to the warm feeling of this place. I would come back and try other menu items read more

The new owners really get it. They've upgraded their menu, while emphasizing on customer experience. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs, over medium with hash browns. I'm gonna say right now that their gravy is absolutely fabulous. They don't skimp on the meat and their hash browns have the perfect crisp and buttery flavor. Highly recommend. I always seem to end up eating here at least once when I'm visiting family. This isn't quite your typical greasy spoon (it's clean and well maintained) but it's got the greasy spoon food you love. I've had the opportunity to try quite a bit of the menu and my go tos are the breakfast burrito or (as I like to call it) the "build your own avocado toast." They don't have avo toast on the menu (YET) but they have all the ingredients. They always poach my eggs perfectly to order and they even bring me an extra plate so I can properly build my toast. Although I love just about everything I've tried here, I don't love the cinnamon roll. I'm not sure why I keep ordering it, it always disappoints me. Maybe I'm just catching them on the wrong day, but they're not warm enough, too much icing (is that even possible? Yes sadly it is apparently), and like...too crunchy on the outside so the gooey middle isn't quite gooey enough. This is a smaller cafe that has a "family" feel to it. I have ate here twice, once french toast, once the country omelette. BOTH were wonderful!!! I recently went to another local cafe and had a similar omelette but this one was definitely better, the gravy was 10X better. HIGHLY recommend. Worst breakfast spot in Antelope valley... first time and last time going. Ordered a burger, the bacon & blue. Told my they didn't have blue cheese, that's fine. I've been served coffee in cups with lipstick prints, undercook and overcooked eggs, and cold bland food. But today I draw the line. I just got take out and was enjoying my breakfast nachos only to learn they are actually 100% cotton and made in Pakistan. Obviously not true, but that's what the label that was in my food says. Sorry guys, but I'm done. When you were Scramblez more care was given to the quality of food and overall cleanliness. Looks like a nice place to have brunch but wouldn't recommend going with more than 2 people, the seats are uncomfortable and don't have much space. The table sits very high so your elbows bump the person next to you. The food was okay, but the waitress forgot one of my items. My wife and I visited this delicious place 2 weeks ago and let me tell you it's our new favorite breakfast spot here in the AV. They not only have some of the best French toast that we have ever had but they also have great service which is something that I value alot. Didn't get any recognition when we came in and squirreled our way to a table. The place was crowded and you could tell that it was mostly regulars as they were getting great treatment. It was amazing how the lethargic service and kitchen chatter changed at a second's notice when the owner walked in. All of a sudden things were being cleaned and tables were being attended to. Once we got attention though our lady server was nice. Can't really complain about her, except for getting our check wrong but she fixed that quickly. But still - this place has maybe 12 tables total. How does it take 20+ minutes for a plate of eggs and potatoes to come out...AND be cold for that matter. Also please note I never add salt or pepper to my food. Like, ever. But I had to because this stuff was so tasteless. I had the sausage skillet with scrambled eggs and biscuits. Husband had fajita omelette. As you might notice from my other reviews I loved good biscuits and gravy. These rubbery biscuits with gelatinous glop of "gravy" are nowhere near good. Even the wheat toast hubby had was void of taste. I'll stop complaining about the lackluster food, service, and environment as I think you get my point. Though I want to add that it was also concerning hearing how worried about being taxed on non-existent tips for to-go orders they were. This is the beat place to eat hands down!! During these Covid times I call my orders in the food is always on time and boxed up nicely and wrapped tightly in bags. The food is just as good as being inside!! We try and mix it up with the meals. Today I walked in and ordered and Kaylee who usually takes my phone orders and is my checkout server at pickup recommended the spam breakfast sandwich today. The way she responded when I asked if it was good sold me!! It was so good! And the bun as you can see in the picture was toasted just right!!! Best spam I've ever had. If you like chorizo try Jake's burrito. Cinnamon roll is a must. Customer service is 10 plus here! One time I called 10 minutes before they opened and no answer yet. So when I called back to order after they opened Kaylee said I seen you had called before we opened and took my order and had it ready fast!! I came here with my son to have a nice breakfast because I've heard so many great reviews about this cafe. But I will NEVER come here again! I ordered a veggie omelette and a Mickey Mouse pancake for my son. I've been a vegetarian for 13 years and they served me an omelette with bacon and sausage but I didn't realize until 1/4 way in. I told my waitress the mistake and I stepped away to go the restroom because I felt sick. But to my surprise, I came back to a family sitting at my table and my sons food thrown away! (He only had a couple bites). After that they told me for my inconvenience, they'll give me 15% off the entire meal! We didn't even have a breakfast because one they gave me the completely wrong order and then they threw my sons food away! Then tried to rush me out of the door by giving up my table to someone else.
