Fantastic bakery! Stopped here this morning and ordered a wide variety. The staff was very friendly, the display of pastries is beautiful, and best of all, everything is delicious! We tried the Nutella roll, the Brewster bun, the chocolate pistachio croissant, the chocolate croissant, and the blueberry danish (there are six of us.) My favorite was probably the Nutella roll, but all of us were happy with what we got. Planning to go back again to try the bacon cheddar scone. And it is not expensive. Is it cheap? No. But certainly not expensive. Everything is made from scratch, from high quality ingredients. Most things were in the $3-4 range. If you want a tasteless, mass produced, $1 danish - go to your local supermarket. If you want pastries on par with a great French bakery, visit Eat Cake 4 Breakfast. Bonus - it's right on the Rail Trail so you can bike there and burn off all those delicious calories. read more

Just stopped by here for the first time. Absolutely beautiful and lovely smelling. Display cases were standing at attention with the most wonderful looking pastries and desserts! I ordered a coffee and a pistachio croissant. Coffee was excellent! Pistachio croissant was unlike anything I've had before! Just delicious! I will be back this weekend with my husband so he can experience this place. Highly recommend it! Someone was placing an order for a cake while I was there and I was literally thinking to myself, I can't wait for a reason to order a cake from here soon! read more

We came late - 1:30pm, with closing at 2:00. We still found a nice selection of pastries, and chose a Brewster Bun and a Pain au chocolat danish. Both were FANTASTIC. A few high stools are inside, but we chose rocking chairs on the deck. There are also tables with and without umbrellas there. We took cheese and blueberry Danish for breakfast tomorrow. read more

This is an excellent find on the cape! Croissants are buttery deliciousness!! Great outdoor seating space to enjoy your dessert and coffee and a great selection of pastries both sweet and savory! The only negatives is that they were not open on Mondays, they dont do flavored coffees and the quiche you have to go big or go home (they dont have individual ones!) Everything we tasted.. and over a few weeks we tasted it all... was Excellent and would rival any bakery in NY. I will say I thought $3 for a french bread was really reasonable. read more

Just had "Brewster buns" brought into work as a treat and I must say they are better than any baked good I have had on the cape -PB boulangerie included - and even better than Italian bakeries in RI. We were staying at Ocean Edge for a wedding and were desperate for some breakfast fare and coffee. Nothing else in the area seemed to be decent or open to we walked over. Easily some of the best pastries I have ever had. Get the Brewster Bun and then fill the rest of the box. Then get another box and fill that too. read more

Wow just wow! All the sweet and savory stuff is just great. I didn't get a chance to try there petit desserts but they look good as well.

Inconsistent. One day their chocolate croissants were warm and flaky and delicious, other times they are flat and bland and taste like they were baked the night before. I do not like how the second you set in the door the worker says what can I get you? Want some coffee? How about more than a second to look at the place? Coffee is awful here. Old drip coffee. The fancy pastries and cakes are nice but would be nice to have more muffins and simple good stuff I could take back to the whole family. read more

We visited Eat Cake For Breakfast Easter Sunday! What a wonderful treat. My husband gave up sweets for lent and this was the perfect spot to indulge into something sweet. We had the Brewster bun and almond croissant which was loaded with almonds. Both were amazing. We did not stop there we had to bring macaroons and croissants home with us. We also had their coffee which was great. The staff was wonderful. The decor is clean, quaint, and inviting. We can not wait to go back and try more delicious decorated treats. read more

Awesome bakery. Best croissants I've ever had, even better than the french place in wellfleet. Go early though they were sold out of ham and cheese croissants today. Service can be kinda slow but it's worth it. Some sort of marked waiting line might be a good idea as I've had people who came in after me get service first, but this has only happened once. I didn't care for the coffee either, but that was due to too much sugar so I'll just put it in myself from now on. Definitely go here if you are staying in the area, this is by far the best bakery in the area. read more

Have visited here since it's opening on numerous occasions and enjoyed a variety of pastries. However, after several occasions, one of my favorites (the almond croissant) has fallen from my list. The filling's become sparse and they're dry/overcooked... Please fix! read more

I picked up two cakes yesterday for a family party - the French strawberry shortcake as well as the flourless chocolate cake which was about as close to fudge as a cake could get. They were as delicious as they were beautifully decorated. I would definitely get the flourless chocolate cake again and even though we enjoyed the strawberry, I'd rather try one of their other flavors next time to compare. I also would just get an 8" flourless instead of the 10". ....so rich you truly only need a tiny slice. Over the years we've gone to a few other bakeries in search of specialty cakes and up until now really haven't been too thrilled. EC4B exceeded our expectations! read more

i just don't think you should have breakfast in you name if you don't warm up anything you sell. This place is definitely just a bakery. the Nutella nautilus was a little hard and the cinnamon bun looked a little undercooked in the center. The turkey asiago croissant was good but again they don't warm anything up so it was disappointing. read more
