This is another hidden gem in Cape Cod. We live less than 2 minutes from this place and we only found out about them with a search engine. Hoping that whoever reads this review takes a chance at this amazing bakery with excellent pastries, desserts, Quiche and more. We had a Chocolate Pistachio Croissant and a Brewster Bun that looked like a Popover with Cinnamon and was crunchy and delicious. We went the next day for a Spinach and Feta Quiche and it was very spongy and soft and full of great flavors. The only feedback is that they do not have a place to warm the quiche. Not an issue for us, since we live close by, but others may have to eat at room temperature. We had a great time and looking forward to going back. read more

This bakery continues to blow me away! First of all it's Covid safe which means that every sanitary protocol is being followed, in a kind and courteous and efficient way. I never have to worry about people crowding around me or "is this place clean". It's just not an issue. Sometimes if I'm in a bit of a hurry I'll call ahead and place an order and I get there, and it's waiting for me and I just go to the cash register and pay after getting in the proper line it works out perfectly The food is sublime!! You cannot get baked pastries like this anywhere in this geographic area so just don't even try to look. A French patisserie smack dab in the middle of Cape Cod is just sheer gold! read more

Love this bakery! It's off the main road hidden a little bit so you may miss it if you're not aware it exists. They have so many different options it's hard to choose! Usually we get one of six different things and cut them up in smaller pieces to have a little of everything. I recommend the pistachio chocolate croissant, Brewster buns and the pain au chocolat. They have outdoor seating and parking spaces. read more

Must Try! Been coming to Brewster for years but only found it this year. Definitely get there a good 25-30m before opening since ppl stand in line way ahead of time. It's tucked in back, just after Snowy Owl--we only saw it from seeing ppl in line! Line moved well. We usually don't eat such rich foods but once in a while we splurge...and what a splurge it is. You can smell the butter as soon as you walk in...feels like you're enveloped in layers of goodness too! Ordered Brewster Bun, plain croissant, chocolate croissant, blueberry scones, Cinnassant, and chocolate chip cookies for good measure. Favorite was BB--deceivingly delicious! Butter and cinnamon--nothing bad about that! Scones were good but heavy and other croissants were good. Flakey! Chocolate chip cookie was absolutely delicious! I've never been to Paris but this is what I imagine them to taste like. Yes, they can be heavy but what would you expect from butter!? Just enjoy it! I wish this place was located right next to my Cambridge apartment....but I don't because then I would be fat from eating all their delicious sweets!! We came here for breakfast (naturally). We ordered the ham and cheese croissant and the turkey and asiago croissant. Both were SO delicious- flaky yet soft. We also ordered the almond croissant and the medium sized bread pudding to take home for our family brunch. Everything was a hit! The bread pudding was made out of Danish pastry so the texture of the pudding was unique and the chocolate was a wonderful surprise. Service was fast, accommodating, and very friendly. The outside seating was perfect for us to sit down and enjoy these treats while with our doggy. I would highly recommend this bakery! read more

Wonderful find! Cheery from the moment you pull up seeing the teal outdoor chairs, to opening the front door! The beautiful pastry display greets you with perfectly placed goodies, and the teal accents continue the fun vibe making me smile! I loved the selection, all are buttery and crispy. I had a savory croissant with turkey & swiss plus tasty topping accent of poppy seeds and crunchy cheese. On to sweet, the Nutella pastry was fun and some crunchy bits were great. The pistachio and chocolate croissant was a wow and so unique, filled with a creamy mix of both! The Lemon tart was beautiful and a real winner. We will definitely be back for more! read more

What a rude owner. She took a one sentence suggestion to improve communication as an attack on how she runs her business, and "bashing" them. I can only imagine what happens if they mess up your order. Our three year old had a fantastic morning so we decided to reward her with her favorite pastries. Given the widespread staffing issues and burnout, we checked their site first to make sure that they were open. "FALL HOURS (Effective September 4, 2022) Saturday and Sunday 8am to 1pm" Well it's Sunday morning and after Sept 4th, so we're good! We pack up our daughter and make the 30 minute round trip with a happy and excited kiddo. We arrive there and see a note on the door that they're closed for a planned break. Wow, that's not cool. The break is cool, but not letting people know on your site isn't. So now we turn around with an upset kiddo. I look them up on IG, and reply to their latest post that they should update their website with the closure. That's it. I get an argumentative reply that their site *is* up to date and "comments like mine" are why they need a break. What? There's nothing saying they're closed and I just said that I wish they'd update their site. Then I get a sarcastic / snarky response that their voicemail says that they're closed and they've been doing this for 7 years, and they hope it wasn't too much trouble coming *all the way* from Chatham. I never said anything about Chatham...so they went through my post history on IG. Not creepy at all. I just checked now and they actually deleted my reply altogether, which further underscores their utter lack of emotional intelligence. Why argue with a customer who is right and is a fan of your stuff? Don't expect people to exhaust all forms of contact to make sure that you're open. An emotionally mature response could have been, "Sorry you made the trip out here. We'll update the site with our closure and hope to see your family again soon!" Whatever, cake person. read more

The pastries were good in the sense that they were buttery but the consistency could be improved (more layering and flakiness). The regular coffee was excellent; the hot chocolate was pretty sugary according to my taste (but they offer three kinds of milk including oat milk(!) so it was an easy fix). The pastries (croissants, Brewster Buns, scones) and quiches I ordered from Eat Cake 4 Breakfast for a bridal shower were absolutely delicious! When I was planning the shower, I called Danielle, the owner and pastry chef, and asked to place an order. She informed me that because of difficulty finding experienced help they were no longer taking orders. She assured me that if I arrived at opening time, I would have no trouble finding the items I was planning to serve. On the day of the shower, I arrived about 8:15 and there was a long line waiting to be served. I weantedkicked myself for being late, but soon found that the line was moving fast, the inventory was plentiful, ordering was extremely efficient, and there were plenty of pastries waiting for me when it was my turn! I'm a fat guy with a sweet tooth and when I saw a place like cape for breakfast boy was I checking this place out. The owner pastry chef really knocks this out of the park. I have yet to have one thing there I have not liked. The line is always out the door and if you like the kruffins like I do you had better get there early. The Brewster Buns are another big hit and the cookie is the best on cape. And did I mention they also have coffee. The Brewster buns are a perennial family favorite, but we love it all -- we just had cranberry orange scone and pistachio chocolate croissant this morning, they were delicious. Absolutely amazing bakery if you're looking for pastries. It's also adorable, and has a bright open interior with lots of sunlight (anyone else notice how dimly lit most Cape bakeries are??). I've tried various croissants and baked goods here and they're all great, but I also get a Brewster Bun every single time. It's like a croissant married a muffin and they rolled around in cinnamon sugar after being bathed in butter-- so so so addictive! I was fortunate to be introduced to Eat Cake 4 Breakfast this Mother's Day Weekend. Their shop is immaculate, and their staff very helpful. My sister was familiar with this bakery, and I'm making it a Must Go each time I'm on The Outer Cape. (It's worth visiting whenever you're on any part of Cape Cod.) The Cape Cod Rail Trail passes directly behind it, too. Ample parking for cars, trucks, etc. Located in a quiet area or Brewster, you won't experience "How do I get across this?" traffic (as you will in the more developed areas of The Cape.) We left with breakfast items and dinner desserts in addition to a cup of terrific fresh hot coffee. The breakfast items are as visually memorable as they were delicious. This is food lovingly prepared for appreciation on the plate as well as when you're eating it. Our desserts stood out like magazine cover photo shoot items: I had never seen items like these. I ate the Lemon Tart: Memorable (and I plan to get one the next time I'm in.) Everyone was quiet while we ate these (as we were savoring the tastes and styling, too.) While I'm fairly certain there's butter and sugar (I'm no cook) I continued to sample both breakfast and dessert items and never had that "too sweet" or "too sugary" experience. Just the opposite. Yummyyyyyy! Everything was DELICIOUS (particularly the NY croissant with cream cheese, almond croissant, and white chocolate cranberry danish!!!) The cold brew was perfect, and oat milk for no extra charge was so kind. The staff were amazing and cheery and helpful and SO quick! A big shout out for eat cake. I wanted to get a birthday cake for my daughter-in-law and no one was available. I found this place in the last minute and they closed at 2 so I got ready and drove 50 minutes from Truro to Brewster and it was worth the time and effort. Wound up getting 2 different small cakes and a little of everything else the store had to offer. My son said he thought I over did it and they were all eaten and enjoyed in a day. The best chocolate chip cookies and I have had lots of them, and the macaroons, amazing. Everything wonderful and the woman was so nice and never complained that I came too late. Sometimes I think those things that are most beautiful in life are actually very sad and unglamorous and minute, things that toil steadily and quietly, nearly alone. This bakery is that way, it is a fine place, hidden on a strange road in Cape Cod where parents glance at their young children and shiny bikes with a vague expression of dread, comfort, and slight regret. The bakery itself has almost laughably high quality treats and is easily the best bakery in all of Cape Cod. Trust me, there is pretty much nothing that comes close, although P-town has a few good spots. A cheesecake, greek yogurt panna cotta (awesome), and incredible double chocolate cookie were all pretty flawless. My only regret is that I didn't get more here. Even now I think of that trip to Cape Cod and I am like "What happened?" It seems less than a dream now, like a joke about how good life can be. The days of our lives may seem so firm when lived, but when recalled they are so brittle as to be barely perceptible. read more
