The seafood boil here is outstanding. But, I have to give this a 3-star review purely because of the wait. While the staff is extremely kind, they are also quite slow when it comes to service. It took about 45 minutes for us to get our food after ordering. If the restaurant was packed and if we were given a heads up, then I'd have no issues. No one stopped by to let us know there'd be a wait and no one checked on us at all. There were 2 other filled tables at the time and that was it. It felt as if it was a not so hidden gem since I did see quite a few takeout orders go out while we waited. The quality of the seafood though was, as I said, outstanding. Jumbo shrimp, fresh crawfish, and surprisingly large lobster tails! The sauce is very unique and delicious. Decided to give this resto a shot since DD was offering $12 off. The app doesn't list any sauce options, so I had to go off the pix on Yelp and make notes. I believe they offer three unique sauces, so I decided to try them all. (Some menus list Viet Cajun as an option, but that's just a mix of SJ Lovers and Garlic Butter Fuego.) I tend to like thick sauces since they stick to the seafood. So I thought SJ Lovers would be my least fav. Surprisingly, I liked the flav of this sauce the most. Garlicky and savory. They did put it in a separate bag which I thought was weird, but I just poured it on top on the shrimp. The shrimp by far was the best item. Big and meaty. My second favorite sauce was the Fuego. It stuck to the crawfish nicely. Great cajun spice. But I found this a touch too sweet for my palate. Also, the crawfish claws were huge! I tried eating some as to not waste the meat, but it was so dry and stuck to the shell. I found myself wishing the claws were smaller as it was just wasted weight. The clams were were good. Tender and juicy. I just wished I liked the East2West sauce. It was creamy, but not tangy. I ended up squeezing all the limes they gave me into this bag. Still didn't provide much contrast since the limes were kinda dry. I also found the sauce waaay too sweet. I'm not a sweet and savory girl, so this was my least fav. I didn't finish the bags, so I ended up mixing the Fuego and SJ sauces and saved the rest for later. The heat on this definitely ramped up as it was super spicy two days later. I actually didn't find any item very spicy when I first ate it. Letting it marinate definitely brought out the heat. An okay place to grab some seafood in a bag. If I ever order from them again, will probably get the Viet Cajun sauce. The SJ Lovers balanced out the sweetness of the Garlic Butter Fuego nicely. I just hope next time the tail ratio is better on the crawfish. It kinda feels like you are getting gypped when the bag was mostly giant claws. I called to place an order and they said the food will be ready in 15 minutes. There was a slight language barrier so I had to speak Vietnamese to them. The level of sauces/spices is kinda confusing since the cashier didn't explain/describe it to be via phone. I asked her about the Crab special and she said it was ~$40 something. We decided to order just one to see if it was worth it. My dad really liked it! He ate the whole crab by himself lol.. good flavor. We also ordered the Hu Tieu Nam Vang (egg noodles & rice noodles) with soup ~$13.85 -- it's not bad, good portion and appreciate the large container of soup on the side and bean spouts/herbs! I just wished the rice noodle (pho) was a little softer. I was a little too al dente for my liking so I have to add more broth and reheat in the microwave a little more. Clams with garlic butter fuego sauce (mild) ~$17.85. There were a good amount of clams coated in the sauce. Smelled really garlicky and yummy! I appreciate the packaging so it wouldn't leak. Everything was $78 which is a decent pricing considering how big the crab was! Contactless payment. Staff were wearing masks. There was a shield between customers and employees for safety reasons. I have been here once and know that I will be back for more. I love that they open early in the morning, unlike most seafood boil restaurants don't open until late afternoon. I also like that they have other options other than just seafood so you can go with friends who don't eat seafood. I went on a weekday before 11am; a friendly lady greeted me and explained the menu. Since crawfish wasn't in season, I ordered their frozen crawfish in SJ Love sauce. Although it was frozen, it was large in size and very tasty. Some frozen crawfish has plasticky smell/taste, these didn't. I also ordered their coconut snails, which were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of sauce. It's named something different now: Ốc Lẩu Nướng. Went here last week and loved everything I ordered. Steak & eggs on hot clay dish, razor clams (xao me), and scallops (with mo hanh). Steak was incredibly soft yet flavorful. Clams and scallops were of good quality, in my opinion. Called on December 4th, 2020 and they said the crawfish was live. I've never had live crawfish in December so I figured why not try! Extremely disappointing. No way in hell that was live crawfish, and I can't believe I paid $17 a pound. During crawfish season, my family and I buy live crawfish from the market and cook it at home at least every other week, so we have a good gauge on what's fresh. And we all agreed the crawfish from here were not fresh at all, most were super mushy and gray. Have you ever had the 3 lb frozen crawfish bag at Walmart? I hate to say it but that quality is better than what we had here. Got the garlic butter fuego sauce in mild and hot. I really like the flavor! It's different than Kickin' Crab, lighter and a little sweeter. Spicy was hot, had my nose dripping a bit lol but not unbearable. All the seafood were big and fresh. The clams and shrimps were quite big. Some crawfish were big but some were small. Dungeness crab was good too. The medium spice is very spicy. I almost died when I put a little chunk in my mouth. Mild was perfect spice for me. We ordered 1 lb crawfish in hot spice and it came with just the sauce. 2 lbs of crawfish were in medium and another 2 lbs in mild. It was weird. The good: I've had take-out from here a few times now but have only tried their hu tieu nam vang noodle soup for under $14/each. The portion is rather large and is enough to feed 1.5 people per bowl. You can order it with the broth or get it "dry" with a sauce. For their take-out, the noodle dish is nicely packaged in black Tupperware with all of the fixings atop so it is easy to just bring home and add the boiled broth on top. I like celery that accompanies the dish because it adds a spicy freshness and crunch. The broth is rich in pork bone flavor and feels light. I liked that they served it with a side of pickled jalapeno peppers and lime wedges. The bad: Their hours are 9AM-10PM but the hu tieu nam vang is only served until 5PM. The noodles were already pre-softened or cooked so it got pretty soft/soggy when I added the boiling broth on top. The interesting: I've never seen a crawfish place sell other dishes outside of the typical Cajun crawfish boil entrees like corn, sausage, other seafood and garlic noodles. This is only based on their noodle soup, which is offered only from opening-2pm. We heard a lot of people liking the place and it was offering $8/bowl, so we decided to try it out. Service: We were greeted and seated right away. After being seated our waiter left. About 1-2min later he came with utensils and sauces and left again. We flagged him down to ask for menus. Which he said they didn't have menus and that they only had noodle soups (one size only). So we ordered 4 bowls and asked for iced water. It took 10min to get our drinks (had to remind someone else about it) and 30min to get our food. We asked for an extra small bowl for nephew, and literally went up to the counter 2 times to remind/ask them. Service is very slow and inattentive (not sure if because they're just very new and/or understaffed or what). Our waiter however was very sweet. Food: The noodle soups were ok, it wasn't bad but I wasn't WOWed by it either. We also ordered some chinese donuts after seeing another table with it. Those were good. I personally don't eat the liver and stuff like that in the soup, but my sister said it tasted really bad and had a strong cleaning product taste... We tried the Garlic Butter Snails and they were great. People might be skeptical of trying them but I got to say so was I at first. The Sea snails are tossed in a Sweet and Spicy Garlic soy sauce. Truly great. We got the Queen's Combo you can choose from Crawfish, Shrimp, Mussels, and Clams for the items and then choose one of their house sauces. We picked the Viet Cajun and we got all four proteins. The Queen's Combo was truly great. The food was cooked perfectly and also seasoned perfectly. I got say that this place is worth coming to. I really really like that Eat Eat Crawfish opens at 9am. Many Crawfish places do not open until 3pm there and there are a lot of times when a girl is craving boiled seafood for brunch. Me, I'm that girl!!! I would eat seafood for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if it didn't leave such an awful smell after eating it. The other day my dad asked me what I wanted to eat and I said boiled shrimp but, it was around 10:00am and I was convinced there was no where we could get boiled seafood they early. So of course I went on Yelp and found Eat Eat Crawfish. I read through the reviews and said why not let's go get some boiled seafood here. So my dad and I headed to Eat Eat Crawfish. I decided to get 2 lbs of shrimp garlic butter fuego medium, garlic noodles, rice, and a hu tieu noodles. The verdict!!! I will be back soon!!! I really like their sauce and I love that they give you a good amount of sauce where you can spoon it over your rice and still have plenty left to dip/drench your shrimp in!!! A lot of places skim on their sauce Eat Eat Crawfish for sure does not. I want to try their SJ lover sauce next time but, I'm already in love with their garlic butter fuego sauce and I want to stay faithful. Onto the garlic noodles I always make it a thing to try garlic noodles when it's offered on any menu and their garlic noodles did not disappoint. It was the right flavor. I thought this place was amazing for their seafood! The reason why I couldn't give it 5 stars was because their service was extremely spotty and their garlic noodles were not good. We had a party of 8 and they seem to have trouble bringing out everything. For example, they would bring out 1 basket of fries and then bring the other one out in 10 min and then another one out 5 min later. The garlic noodles were pretty much overcooked spaghetti that didn't taste anything like garlic but was a little bit sweet instead. The seafood and sauce on the other hand were really good! We got shrimp and they were gigantic (almost the size of prawns). They were super meaty and actually pretty fresh. Since our usual crawfish spot was closed yesterday, we decided to give Eat Eat Crawfish a try. I called a few times and no one picked up but decide to just drive there just in case they were open... I was slightly annoyed that they didn't pick up last night for my to-go order and was even more annoyed that i drove there and had I wait nearly 40 minutes to get my food. HOWEVER, the food was worth the wait. We ordered, 2 pounds of shrimp, 2 pounds of crawfish, 4 corns, 2 potatoes (all in medium garlic butter feugo sauce), 1 order of sea snails, garlic noods and Cajun fries. At first, I didn't like the sauce, I tasted too sweet and the garlic was not too garlicy but after eating for a while, the sauce for spicier and it became much more tastier. It was borderline addicting. Another positive thing to point out was the ginormous prawns and crawfish. For these were shipped from somewhere, the meat was much sweeter than most places and they were bigger, especially for this time of year when crawfish is not in season. Aside from the service and garlic noodles, I thought this place was pretty solid. We got some cajun fries and sweet potato fries which were pretty good. Then we got some garlic noodles which were weird because they had a sweetness to it, which I didn't really like. I like my garlic noodles to taste butter-y and garlicky and that usually how the other places make it. I did like the seafood which is why "I'm a fan". The crawfish was fresh and the shrimp were fresh and meat-y as well. I also enjoyed the garlic butter fuego sauce that they were in and the medium spicy had a nice amount of heat. The service was super weird. We ordered 3 basked of fries and they brought out 1 and maybe 10 minutes later, they brought out the others. Our garlic noodles didn't come at the same time either. When the servers brought the seafood order, they didn't know which one was which and went back to the kitchen at least 2 times to double check what they brought out. Second, service was super nice and friendly! For those who come into a new establishment, please be aware, takes time to get the hang of things and learning the ropes on quick service. Eat Eat just recently took over ownership and management from the previous owner.The staff is extra helpful and nice and really want you to have an amazing experience. They are really knowledgable about the menu. We got the chance to try their crawfish and shrimp dipped 'Garlic Fuego Sauce'. This sauce was done just right! It had a nice spicy kick to it. We also got to try 2 other sauces, but the FUEGO one was BOMB.com! Other items were some garlic noodles, sausages, and corn. Last but not least, we got to try their Roasted Black Pepper Crab dipped in garlic butter oil/sauce. Came here for my birthday dinner and it was hella good. Everyone was complimenting the flavor, size, and freshness the entire time. We ended up ordering the garlic noods, shrimp regular, tiger prawn shrimp, and roasted crab. The portions were pretty hefty and all the seafood was super meaty. The flavors were really good I believe we opted for the garlic Fuego sauce and Cajun. Just be careful because the spicy is real spicy and they allow you to add more spice if you would like. I ordered the garlic crab but had a chance to try everyone's food. The garlic noods had a great flavor, I would definitely order again. The shrimps were hella big and juicy. The tiger prawns come with no heads which is nice for those who don't like peeling. I personally like the heads attached because it retains alot of the flavor. The star of the night was the garlic crab. It was a perfect seasoning. Not too salty and there was plenty of sauce to dip my crab meat as I was cracking the legs open. Tiny little shop that is always busy. We waited for almost an hour for a table but it was well worth the wait. I've never tried razor clams before but now it s something I crave. So delish and so tender!!. My goodness I can't even with the scallops! HUGE!! Big!! Perfectly cooked!! They have balut too if that's your thing. The steak was ok but everything else was delish! I would give this place zero stars if possible. I came into place a to-go order and I realized, this place is not following any COVID regulations. Here are my red flags: 1) handling cash and food with the same gloves 2) chefs preparing food WITHOUT masks. I asked them why they were cooking without masks on, cashier said she would remind the chef to put the mask back on. Came back because my order was incorrect- chef still didn't have her mask on. 3) customers are allowed to sit inside with no social distancing. I love the SJ lover and garlic butter sauces, every time I couldn't decide, I just get the other sauce on the side so I get the best of both worlds (you can have as many sauces on the side as you want, btw!) . I like that the sauces here aren't as heavy and thick as other places, thus I don't feel so sluggish after. The garlic fries and garlic noodles are always good choices - can't go wrong with that. I love their clams and my friends loooove the crawfish. The shrimp was also juicy and tender. The servers are super nice and the owner always checks up on you to make sure you are good. As far as cleanliness goes, I've been here several times and I thought the dining area, behind the counter service area and the bathroom were all pretty clean each time - no, I did not see any roaches crawling. And truthfully, this place is one of the most accommodating restaurants I've been to - we had two toddlers with us and they were so considerate of them the entire time (you know how toddlers are when they eat at restaurants...), the owner even brought out small soup dishes just for them. I really didn't see or experience the negative things mentioned in the other review, I've had a pleasant experience here each time and will continue to visit. read more

I have been hunting down a place that has some good crab in San Jose for awhile and Eat Eat San Jose did not disappoint. I have to say they have the best roasted black pepper crab in town. We no longer need to drive all the way to San Francisco to get crab. They have a new management and the service is great. We will definitely be back often. read more

Crawfish Lovers seems to be relatively new, so I'm sure they're still fiddling around with their recipes and working out the kinks. I didn't have a bad experience here, but it just wasn't up to the par of standards set by restaurants like Boiling Crab and Kickin' Crab. The small lot where this shop is located doesn't provide many parking spaces, and I saw some customers park in adjacent lots and walk a few minutes here. Service was a little flustered, and it was hard to tell what the order of operations was upon walking in. There is a counter at the front where drinks can be ordered, but the seafood aspect of the restaurant seemed to still be sit-down first, then wait for a server. As others have mentioned, water is served in rather tiny cups with crushed ice. The orders of seafood are mostly served in plastic bags per usual, but atop actual plates.. I wasn't sure what to make of the plates, and it's seemingly insignificant details like these that lend doubt to whether a restaurant is having an identity crisis. I adore raw garlic, but not to the point where it's thrown in, not cooked at all, and the harbinger of garlic breath for the remainder of the day. I do like the sauces used here, as they aren't as heavy or generic as some of the other places I've been to. On the other hand, I think there are a few kinks that should be smoothed out, such as the initial reception, portioning, and saltiness. I've been here twice and both times got crawfish and dry hu tieu nam vang. I called ahead before my most recent visit and asked point blank if they partook their crawfish and the host told me no, they cook the crawfish per order. Both times I've come here the crawfish were extremely soggy with broken shells. I used to work at a Cajun restaurant so I know what fresh made to order crawfish look and taste like. The crawfish here was rubbery with soft shells a signs of par cooking. It literally takes 5 min to boil fresh crawfish they're really not saving that much time by cooking ahead of time. The hu tieu was a lot more flavorful the first time I was here pre-covid. The only redeeming quality was the flavor of the sauces. I got east2west and cajun garlic. Both were great. read more

Since the change of the new ownership, I think this place got a major facelift. Yes, facelift, Botox, fillers and etc. I got to try both cf menu and noodles menu and it's great. Good and competitive pricing, yup yup, yes, good and wallet-friendly. Their sauce is different. Combo deals are great. Their noodles are about $10 per order and comes with a side of soup. It tastes homemade, but really good homemade. I know it's shelter in place ordinance at this time so to-go orders may not allow the establishment to be fairly judged, but I'm sure if you warm it up correctly at home, it will still taste pretty darn awesome. Staff are great. They check up on customers. Hey, as you know, a lot of Vietnamese eateries do not check up on customers. Yes, one of my new to-go joint for some great food.
