I love rice noodles, but the one time I tried the rice noodles, it didn't taste right, so I just stick to the egg noodle. One of the best egg noodle duck soups in the area. They have a lot of options to pick from but I think they're known for their bbq items. They put the roast duck and bbq pork on a separate plate instead of in the soup so it doesn't lose its flavor. I tried the rice plate with bbq items before too. The bbq items are good but the rice was average. Doesn't beat the egg noodle soup. The soup is extremely flavorful. I love asking for a side of their chilis in vinegar too (the red chilis and the pickled jalapeño with garlic are my favorite). They make it in house. The restaurant itself felt very large and open, with high ceilings and a more European-inspired decor style, which honestly felt a little odd considering they serve Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. It's nice that they used pretty good quality pork belly for this, but I did't like how they put hoisin sauce in the bottom of that slap of belly but it's ok, not a deal breaker. Dined here after browsing the menu at Blue Monkey (which was where my in-laws had chosen to eat). Someone wasn't happy looking at the food portion, wait and prices so walked around the plaza and dined at 360 instead. Our group of 7 left well fed and pleased. Got seated right away with no wait (place was pretty busy but not overly packed). Service was efficient. They had a huge variety of dishes to pick from. As it was lunch time, most of us got some kinda of rice plate or soup noodles. Husband got the duck and bbq pork noodle soup as well as the daikon rice flour cake. Soup was a little salty but really flavorful. I ended up taking a full leftoved container of soup home just so I could drink the broth. I got pho ap chao which was really good as well. Over the holidays, my friends took me to a new roasted BBQ duck noodles in San Jose. This place is in a big shopping center around Grand Century mall with all types of food businesses. It's so big that it's quite easy to get lost of forget where you park your car. The name is quite different for a chinese VN restaurant "360". Anyhow, the restaurant is quite new, high ceiling, clean and airy. The right side you can see all the nice colored BBQ ducks where you can buy and take home. We're seated at the end of the left side. The prices are in par with all the restaurants around here. $17 a bowl. There are quite a few dishes offered here, but we're here for the BBQ duck noodles soup. The bowl came out with the broth filled up to the rim, quite impressive, I liked it already. Each bowl came with a separate dish of BBQ duck, NOT skimpy which I like. So it's all in the broth, and the soup is so tasty and just right, someone may think it's too much MSG, but whatever it is, it's excellent. But since this one meat is only BBQ duck, there comes the meat, the duck is marinated and cooked perfectly, not too salty, not to sweet, not to much star anis spice, this is the best BBQ duck I've had so far anywhere. The noodles were cooked to perfection, not too soft, just crunchy enough. BUT for me a little shy, I needed one more portion of noodles because the soup was so good and plenty. The service here is hit and miss, last time we came, the place was packed and only 2 person running the whole place, take quite a long time to ask for something. Yesterday was not so busy, then the server was quite attentive and fast. So yesterday I came again with a friend and ordered extra noodles. This place has the best Peking duck I've had. I order it everywhere I go including many spots around Seattle, NYC, Philly, AZ, LA, SD, and OC, but the execution here was on point. The entire bird was so freaking juicy while the skin still retained a bunch of crispiness. Not sure if they sourced a higher quality duck, but it wasn't as dense as the ducks at other places. Aside from the duck, the other banquet foods were solid including the lobster, yi mein, fish, etc. This is definitely one of my favorites out of the other classic banquet spots in the area. The fried quail was extremely surprising. I expected it to be very dry since they're frying a whole bird, but the whole thing again was juicy and tender all the way through. The chef really knows how to cook meat to the right temperature. The server was very tentative even though we were on the 2nd floor and kept our drinks filled consistently. If you love Peking duck you need to come Here. The baos are freshly steamed and fluffy with delicious Peking duck and slather on that hoisin. The meat was tender and the skin was flavorful and had a nice amount of juicy fat. We also order the calamari which came in very generous sizes and super crunchy. Such a wide variety of dishes served and a large menu. Ordered the shaken beef with tomato rice, sizzling beef steak pate (came with bread), on choy with garlic, salt and pepper tofu, and the roasted pork. I thought everything was pretty good- on choy could have used more salt but the portion sizes for the pork, veggies, and tofu were pretty large. I loved the flavor and texture of the roasted pork! A solid 3 star spot. We stumbled upon this place because we weren't in the mood to wait in line at Pho Ha Noi. LOL it was a pleasant surprise though! We were really in the mood for wonton soup and decided to try this place. There were a lot of people enjoying their Sunday lunch here so it seemed like a good place to try. We were given a booth near the hanging ducks and there was a weird smell in the area which is somewhat separated from the main dining area. I would have preferred to be in the main dining area. The waitress forgot about us for quite some time. We ordered an appetizer of egg rolls and wonton soup with BBQ pork with noodles. Normally appetizers are served first, but our soup was served and later the egg rolls were brought out. Overall the preparation was good but I was disappointed by the makeup of the soup. For $15 I would have liked to have at least 4 wontons. There were only 3 wontons and a very small amount of BBQ pork served on the side as an afterthought. It was just noodle soup. If you're a fan of Chinese BBQ meats like char siu, roasted duck, roasted chicken, or steamed chicken and a fan of noodle soups, especially the ones with wontons in them, this place is amazing! So many different noodle soup combinations to choose from, depending on whatever you're in the mood for. The noodle soup broth stood out to me because it tasted perfectly balanced to me, not bland or overly salty like other soups I've tried, and I love the little crispy pork fat bits that add texture and extra yummy flavor to the whole noodle soup experience. The protein options taste fresh and delicious as well and what you would expect for Chinese BBQ. We were at the ice rink last Friday. We arrived around 8:20AM and did not leave until nearly 4:30 in the afternoon. It was our no meat consumption day per the Lunar calendar. Gavin was hungry and tired. I knew the right thing to do was to find a sit-down restaurant so he can refuel and rest. TK Noodle was an option, but I figured we'd give this place a try. We walked in when they just opened. I asked first if they can make tofu chow mein and tofu chow fun. We ordered and waited. It took about 15 min. The first plate to be brought out was the chow mein, but no sign of tofu so I went up to the woman I placed my order to inquire. She took the plate back. Roughly 7 min. after, both of our orders were brought out. Both dishes were good, slightly under-seasoned. They were not generous w/ their tofu, but maybe that's just my gluttonous ways.
