Very very good and delicious food. Warm service from the guy. The only issue is fee and tip transparency. They don't tell you about 2% credit card fee unless you print out the receipt to check by yourself. When you select 18% tip, the amount calculated by POS is actually around 20%. We came here on a Tuesday and it was busy but our server Jesus was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He quickly helped us find a nearby table, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. We ordered the anticuchos, causa de pollo, tallarines a la huancaína with lomo and lomo saltado. As a Peruvian I can honestly say this restaurant captures the authentic Peruvian sazón 100%. The huancaína, in particular was exceptional! It's one of the hardest dishes to find done well outside of Peru and this one truly tasted like home. Causa Anticucher- grilled squid porched on a bed of potatoes was something new and a very satisfying starter with a little saffron sauce to pair with. Mahi Mahi- very rich as the delicate and well prepared mahi was accompanied with shrimp and swamped with a cream sauce that kind of overpowered the dish Arroz Con Marisco- a paella style seafood medley which has somewhat a similar flavor to the mahi but still a solid and rich dish with a little kick on every bite. My wife and I have been coming here for years, when it was Isabella's. It is seriously one of my favorite restaurants and we are so happy to see that food quality and flavor has not went down! Service is non intrusive which is appreciated. Girls are always nice and friendly. We accidentally got charged for dessert and she corrected it immediately. My go to is the Lomo Saltado the meat is tender with the green spicy sauce is a game changer! Of course I want more meat (who doesn't!? haha) but portion is pretty reasonable for the price. My wife typically orders the Arroz con Mariscos which is a heafty portion with a very creamy/rich flavor. We usually add some lemon which elevates the flavor! We also order the ceviche trio & the pulpo appetizer both are great dishes just wish there was more pulpo. Nevertheless we will remain regulars at Inka's. Wow, this place is amazing. The ambiance is casual and the space is big enough to handle a few large parties, and they take reservations which makes planning easy. Everything we ordered was really good, and they made all the dishes mild for us, which we appreciated. The ribeye was cooked perfectly medium rare and full of flavor. The tallarin verde pasta was a standout, the sauce was smooth, rich, and just right. The ceviche was fresh and light with a nice sour kick, and the tostadas paired perfectly with it. What really stood out was the service. We accidentally showed our server a dish from a different restaurant, and instead of saying no, he said they could make it. They followed through and it came out great. That kind of effort is rare. Good food, great service, no misses. Overall, it was a great experience. We went to Inka a little before they closed, and they were so nice to seat us. The food was spectacular. I rarely say this for restaurants; every dish was a 10/10.  The beef in the Lomo Saltado was tender with a light crispy char on the edges. And the caramelized soy sauce soaked into the rice and went so well with the onions and tomatoes. The white fish ceviche was a good portion for three people to share. The sweet potato and Peruvian corn provided some light sweetness that cut through the lime juice. The Chicharrón de Pescado was fried perfectly, light flaky fish that had just the right amount of batter. My favorite dish was the Arroz con Mariscos; creamy like a risotto, but the rice still had a bite to it like a paella. A good amount of shrimp and clams, and a velvety rich seafood forward sauce. read more

The food here is amazing! I did a takeout order from here and was super impressed with the food! I haven't tried much Peruvian food, so I did not really know what to expect going in. The location is in a plaza and parking was a bit full during lunch. Inside, there is plenty of seating but it was pretty empty. I did not see many staff when I walked in, so I'd describe the ambiance as pretty casual. We ordered a variety of dishes (beef, chicken, and seafood) and each one was so good and flavorful. I typically dislike cooked seafood dishes, but I loved the seafood paella! The beef stew (which they recommended to us), was also super tender and soft. Literally each dish we ordered was perfection. The portion sizes are decent and the distribution of meat is pretty balanced as well I'd highly recommend trying their food and we will 100% be coming here again!! read more

First time ever for Peruvian food! I got the Tallarin Saltado de Carne, which was pieces of steak, stirfry vegetables over fettuccine. Soy sauce was a part of the base, and it was really delicious. My only complaint was at the meat that I ordered medium was a little bit too rare, and it wasn't as tender as it could've been. Other than that, the meal was delicious and the service was excellent. We had a great waitress who was very friendly, and we liked her a lot. The elevator music could be switched out, but other than that... I may go back again. read more

I beg your finest friggen pardon! What is the gem amongst gems?! My friend was telling me about lomo, a delicacy I had yet to try! I'm always down for a food related adventure, so we high tailed it to south bay and rolled up shortly after opening. The place is in an unassuming strip mall, but as soon as you walk in VIBES! Restaurant is beautiful, quiet and clean. And our server Sergio was so knowledgeable about the menu. He was also extremely confident we would love everything and had some excellent recommendations. He was right. Everything was beyond damn good! Some of my best bites in California to this day. The lomo saltodo had me almost weeping. My lord what is this seasoned with?!. Angels tears!? For appetizers we started with Anticucho which is beef hearts, aji panca, served with sliced golden potatoes and choclo. Choclo is large kernels of Peruvian corn that is slightly chewy and sweet. Trio Ceviche - comes with ceviche mixto, mango shrimp ceviche, and tiradito which is thinly sliced mahi, lime juice, aji amarilla, cancha and choclo The ceviche with the mango sauce contains milk, so unfortunately I wasn't able to try that one but the other two were delightful. The seafood was very fresh tasting. The ceviches have a very forward citrus flavor but the mahi still came through in a very pleasant way. Lomo Saltado was incredible. Maracuya is a non-alcoholic passion fruit drink. It tasted like a mango juice mixed with passion fruit. Very tropical with a pleasant sweetness. Chica Morada is a Peruvian drink that has some spices. Think in the realm of spices similar to a spiced apple cider. At first I wasn't a fan but it grew on me throughout the course of our meal. We'll definitely be back! I came here for a group dinner on Wednesday and the service was great! There was one employee taking orders and bringing out food for the entire restuarant and he did a great job. He also was helpful in explaining the menu for those unfamiliar with the cuisine. The restaurant is in a small trip mall and there is a good amount of parking. The restaurant itself is pretty small, so I'd recommend making a reservation. I ordered the chaufa de mariscos which was a seafood fried rice. It was pretty good, but basically a standard fried rice. The portion was huge and I had enough to take home and have for lunch yesterday. We also tried an appetizer with chilled mashed potatoes, vegetables, and a sauce. It was also fine but we probably wouldn't order it again. We also ordered a drink for the table that we thought sounded similar to an horchata, but ended up being a fruity/cinnamon-y drink. Came for a birthday dinner on a Sunday. I thought most dishes we ordered were really good. Great: Pescado a lo Macho - mixed seafood served in a cream sauce (??) . The best part is a lightly fried fish fillet buried in there which goes real well with the sauce. Lomo Saltado - the classic dish of Peru, as far as I know. The beef is real tender and nicely flavored. Make sure you mix it up a little bit to get the soy sauce mixed into the fries and the rice. Good: Arroz con Mariscos - they call this one Peruvian paella. It's almost like a premixed version of the pescado a lo macho without the fish fillet. To my discerning, the sauce is really similar or identical for both dishes. Still really good, but if I had to pick one I'd pick the Pescado a Lo Macho. Ok: Chicharron de Pollo - I saw a yelp review praising this so I ordered it. Honestly kind of like popcorn chicken with fries. Overall not bad, just nothing super unique or particularly superb in my opinion. The fries could use a little salt. Service is good, and the interior is clean and comfortable. I'd say overall it's a nice night out but nothing crazy expensive; all the entrees hover around $30 which I think is pretty affordable for what it is! read more

Either people are getting bribed for their reviews or I just went on an EXTREMELY off day for them. Located in a beat up strip mall next door to a smoke shop should have been the first warning sign for us but the 3 of us made our way inside and were seated quickly. The decor was lackluster at best with vomit colored walls and dated looking furniture. The menu was vast but items were on the pricy end, ok that's okay as long as the food is good that's fine. We ordered the pollo saltado, there were like 4 pieces of chicken in total and the sauce was extremely salty to the point where my lips were going numb, the fries on the other hand completely bland. We also ordered the ceviche, it came with 2 whole pieces of chips. I asked them if we could get some more chips and our server explained to me that is how they are served "traditionally" okay fine, I offered to pay for more chips, she said it was $5 for a small bowl (I saw the table next to ours) which is ridiculous. The ceviche was also mediocre at best. Water refills were nonexistent, I had to wait around for what seemed like eternity to flag the servers down to get some more water, they never once checked on us. Getting the bill was just as difficult. The cashier walked over with her credit card machine and of course starred at you directly when you're tipping making it awkward as possible, we still tipped 18% despite the horrible food and service but once we got the printed receipt it showed a "CREDIT CARD CHARGE" of over $2, just absolutely ridiculous, no warning or heads up, just took our card and charged it. On our way out I went up to her and very quietly told her that it would have been nice if they disclosed that they charged a credit card fee to us before running the card she does a half eye roll at me and says "it's on the menu" like do you really expect everyone to read the entire menu? Tricky deceptive business practice. STAY AWAY- small portions, high prices, horrible service, deceptive and shady way to run a business. read more

Tiradito 3.5/5 This is a yellow pepper sauce ceviche with thin slices of fish. I thought the portion was rather small considering the price but it was tasty with nuts and corn. A tad on the sour side. Lomo saltado 4/5 Yummy pieces of steak with fries and rice. I felt like this dish was on the salty side but the beef was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. So I had to check out Inka's based on the stellar ratings and rave reviews. We found Inka's to be OK. 3.5 *** but unable to give half ratings.... Common theme is the skimpy portions compared to other Peruvian spots we've been to. #PeruvianEats: ~ ANTICUCHOS - 4/5 This was good. The rest of the table was a bit hesitant on ordering organ meat. The texture wasn't all that different. Good job! Everyone ended u eating it. ~ TRADITO - 3.5/5 A decent Tradito dish. I had better elsewhere. Only one type of fish and a bit skimpy on the portions. ~ TRIO CEVICHE - 3.5/5 Tasty little variety. Good flavor. Once again...those skimpy portions for $30! ~ Aji de Gallina - 3/5 Not the best Aji de Gallina I had...in fact it kinda ranks towards the bottom. The taste was fine, but they definitely skimped on the chicken. Other places I've been to were far more generous with the portions of chicken. ~ TALLARIN SALTADO DE CARNE - 2/5 This was strange. Looked like something you get at an Asian restaurant. Nothing more than a noodle dish with beef. It was OK, but we agreed this was the worst dish of the evening at $30. Pass on getting this again. ~ SECO DE CORDERO - 4/5 The Lamb shank was cooked to perfection; tender, moist and juicy. The meat fell off the bone, and the Cilantro sauce we brilliant. It's been years since I've been here and I remember it being good, but not this great. I did take out and decided to try the rice with seafood and as soon as I tasted it my taste buds went crazy! It's creamy, full of flavor and filled with loads of seafood. I also got the green spaghetti with steak which is also delicious, meat is tender and green sauce is to perfection. There was only one serve but he checked on us often and it was busy in there. We got the Causaki. It's a delicious and refreshing potatoes salad deconstructed into little bit size sushi looking pieces. Then we had their checked fried rice. It was really interesting and delicious.
