Busy Saturday at peak brunch time, but we were greeted and seated quickly…read more The environment was casual-chic with a focus on chickens (eggs?), and the space was well laid out and easily navigable. The food was excellent. We had the protein omelette and the breakfast burrito. The protein omelette was strong, and the Jurassic pork (sweet and savory seasoned bacon) stole the show there. Toast and fruit was well made and fresh. The burrito was where things went to the next level. Steak AND bacon in a burrito in this economy? Unbelievable. It was so rich and heavy I almost couldn't finish it. They didn't overcompensate for a lack of meat and eggs with a bunch of potatoes. The whole burrito was well balanced in that respect. The beans were excellent, and the cherry on top was the fresh made red chile salsa. It tied the whole experience together perfectly. Finally, the coffee was excellent as well, the only caveat being that we actually got our food before our coffee (only one barista was behind the bar and she was pretty backed up). Wonderful brunch experience, I will be back.

A baker's dozen soon enough. We ate: California Breakfast Burrito - comes with carne asada, pico de gallo infused guac, house potatoes, eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. served with rice, black beans and salsa on the side. Pretty substantial and filling. Rooster Flight - the menu says choose any 3 french toast or pancakes. But you can't choose any limited-time special pancakes, so just mix and match from the regular menu. I got the brioche French toast, which was buttery. The Churro Pancake was a heavy dose of cinnamon sugar, fair warning. I liked the Strawberry Cheesecake Pancake with the cheesecake cream, graham cracker crumbs, and macerated strawberries. Portions are fine for two people. For each flight sold, $1 goes towards their parent company's nonprofit Rise & Shine. Prepare to wait if you go on a weekend. But it was nice sitting on the patio and enjoying brunch on a sunny Saturday.

The wait to sit wasn't too long. If you were interested, they do to-go orders too. For breakfast, I got the eggs and meat order with overeasy eggs and sausage. The sausage was my favorite part of the meal. The texture reminded me of Filipino longanisa and the actual taste of the sausage was so good!! I ordered hashbrowns instead of potatoes but was given potatoes. My server was so sweet about the mix-up. Next time I'm back, I'd like to try out the Dutch baby pancake with a side of sausage of course.

We added berries for an extra $6 (without berries, it's $20), and it was worth it. This breakfast dish was tasty and comforting yet not heavy, and the berries provided refreshing flavors and textures. Hangover Burger: 2/5. Disappointing. I feel like for being called a "hangover" burger, it should've been very satisfying and had more of...well, everything XD The size of the burger and the portion of fries were both small, and the burger patty seemed dry and unseasoned. It could have used a sauce, some seasoning, a different cheese, or a juicy patty. The fries were yummy, but again, I just wished I got more for being part of the hefty $26 price tag. Despite our entrees being a little lackluster, the atmosphere is nice for a group brunch, and the interior is cool and trendy. Service was ok - a little slow, hard to flag down, and not as welcoming as I thought they'd be for a popular brunch restaurant. Parking in the small lot is tricky as it can fill up quickly during the day. Luckily we got there right when Plums Cafe opened at 8am, so there were lots of available spots.

Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, they are open from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every day for breakfast and lunch. We came on a Sunday morning and were seated right away. The menu offers plenty of tasty options. It was tough to decide. I ordered the Crab Benny and had my eggs soft-poached, as requested, and they were perfectly runny. The croissant was a nice change from the usual English muffin. The herb-seasoned wedge fries were also great and crispy. The Brown Butter Hollandaise sauce was creamy and flavorful. My family also enjoyed the tomato bagel and the kids' pancake. They cleaned their plate in no time. The portions were good for the price and quality. Our morning hunger was satisfied. If you are inclined to enjoy an alcoholic beverage with your meal, the menu offers some great options like brunch cocktails, mimosas, wine, and more. I'll have to try one of their house cocktails sometime. I opted to get a refreshing cold brew this time. Upon entering the dining area, I was struck by its bright, modern look and local vibes. There is also patio seating, perfect for the SoCal weather. The staff was kind and attentive. It was cool that they refer to customers as "family" when greeting them before taking orders. Our first time was a pleasant and delicious experience. I would consider returning for another meal.

Service was always great, but today the servers seemed upset and like they didn't want to be there. Our server, just greeted us and put our order in. Didn't check up on us and didn't bother to refill waters, there was also no a/c and they were adamant on keeping the doors closed. I still love the food, and will continue to dine, but theres no longer that hospitality feeling that was once there.
