So so so delightful. Every time I come I am left smiling! From gelato, to pizza slices to the best olive oil, bread and balsamic vinegar, eataly is so much fun to peruse and bring home some amazing quality foods! Also the pizza and pasta restaurant here is just top notch! Ask for Richard! He makes you feel right at home, doesn't make you feel bad for food customizations or questions, goes above and beyond for his customers! I'd come back just for him alone! 10/10 experience! In my photos I got a blood orange soda, which was great, their authentic Parmesan filled fettuccini Alfredo with some truffle, and lasagna. Oh and their sourdough bread dipped in balsamic vinegar and olive oil of course! Only the best of the best ingredients here!

We went here for a late lunch on a Sunday and had an excellent experience at the La Pizza e La Pasta restaurant. The restaurant was full so we waited a little bit before being seated and then waited even longer for a server. I think they were short on waitstaff because a manager eventually showed up to help us. She obviously was doing more than one job at a time so she disappeared for long periods of time. Overall, I appreciate the effort by the manager, but service was very poor. To the food: our eating experience was excellent and the reason for 5 stars. The kid started with bread and olive and oil and balsamic vinegar. The sour bread was excellent and some of the best I have tasted since I left SF many years ago. The wife had Orta carbonara and loved it. The pasta was freshly made and the sauce was very flavorful. I had a Romano margharita pizza and it was one of the best I have ever had. The crust was superb. It was thin, flavorful, and had a slight char from the oven. The tomato sauce was light and not bitter. There was not too much cheese. It was a superb pizza. We are now big fans. We will be back when we want top notch Italian. Prices were reasonable I thought. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is upscale casual without pretension.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After the meal, we wandered and looked at the meat market, fresh pasta, fresh bread, fish market, cheese market, and finally ended up at the dessert station for a cannoli. What a nice day.

Great service, server was super knowledgeable and able to articulate the menu really well! Caesar salad was unique with the breadcrumbs. Loved the spicy salami wood fired pizza! And all the pasta plates we saw come out looked amazing too

Came here for a lovely lunch and [[HIGHLIGHT]]enjoy the ambience, the customer service and the food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices are pretty decent for two people we spent about $160 which included the tip because we had two cocktails I just the food was so authentic, fresh, and delicious. We enjoyed each dish and this is a spot that I recommend if you're looking for an authentic Italian restaurant experience.

I had been to Eataly in NYC before so was excited to give the Dallas location a try. I can't say enough great things about their pizza, supplí and the gelato!!! I ate their " Bufalina" pizza and the dough, ingredients, thin center and flakey crust were just as good as the pizzas I have tried in Italy! I was able to eat the whole pizza myself and it didn't feel as heavy as all the American pizzas I have tried here. We finished the meal with a delicious gelato, and I had the chance to try my favorite flavor: amarena. Surprisingly, this also tasted authentic and as amazing as it always had when I would try gelato in my hometown. Needless to say, I highly recommend the food at Eataly. I also support their mission, which includes a partnership with the Italian Trade Agency and willingness to continue promoting the taste and culture of Italy. Wish this could have been around when I first moved to the US.

I should not get this excited about entering Eataly but every time I find something new to love about this market. I adored the Easter goodies that were on display such as the large chocolate wrapped eggs and bunnies. My favorite counter is the fresh pasta followed by the fresh pastry counter. If you have a sweet tooth they will pipe cannolis for you. They also have fresh Italian doughnuts that they will put pastry cream in for you. I have yet to try one of their classes or food experiences but it's on my list for sure. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lively atmosphere is great and they so much to explore in addition to their restaurants.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you haven't been it's definitely a must.

Tried Eataly market/buffet--got the walnut pesto spinach pasta with ricotta and a mortadella sandwich. We've been told they don't heat up the pasta and have to go to their restaurants for a hot pasta which was not expected! but they will heat pizza and sandwiches. Still, both tasted really good--fresh and flavorful.

Ate at Pizza le Pasta restaurant and unfortunately were not too impressed. Right off the bat we ordered the charcuterie board and asked the waiter if we needed anything else as an appetizer (it was a special occasion). He said no and shortly after we received the board. We were not informed that there were piles of jam and soft cheeses but no crackers or bread to go with them. We politely asked another waiter passing by what to do with the jam and she said well of course you need some bread (which was an extra cost). Very disappointed since then the main courses were out by the time we got the bread and the charcuterie board was forgotten. The pizza, however, was extremely good and cacio e pepe was lovely pasta. But, the linguine bolognese was way too al dente and almost inedible. Very disappointed since this meal was so expensive. Hopefully this was just an off night and it's not always like this! (Just make sure to get bread with the charcuterie board because it's 2 cups of fig jam with nowhere to put it)

We had a really great experience at Eataly. We dined at one of the sit-down restaurants that serves both pizza and pasta (as opposed to the other restaurant that focuses on pasta only), which we appreciated for the variety. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was lively but still comfortable--busy in a good way, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that made it easy to enjoy the meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was attentive and friendly without feeling rushed, which added to the overall experience. We ordered the bruschetta with whipped ricotta, and it was easily the best bruschetta we've ever had. The ricotta was light, creamy, and perfectly balanced with the toppings--simple but done exceptionally well. We also ordered a pizza (we forgot the exact name), but it had walnuts on it and was just as impressive. It wasn't too heavy, and the flavors came together really nicely. It felt thoughtful and well-executed. Overall, the quality of the food really stood out. We would definitely come back to try more from the menu.

Shout out to the head baker, Marsael! I wanted a sandwich...most Italian style sandwiches come with mayo. I do not like mayo...I figured that I would just trim some of the bread off with the mayo. He came to the rescue by showing me the focaccia they use and so he gave me an extra piece to just transfer my sandwich. lol!!! The idea worked perfectly and I was happy with my sandwhich and the exceptional customer service. I also grabbed their Chicken and Orzo soup....I feel like my grandma made this.

We went to the pizzeria restaurant inside Eataly last week, and it did not disappoint. There were other people who were seated after us that the waitress addressed first before we even got our drinks, which was a little disappointing. Once we were acknowledged though, it was great! I got their salmon and it was a great size and so buttery, full of flavor! My daughter got the kids heart shaped pizza (so cute!) she LOVED it and I don't think she'll ever eat pepperoni pizza the same way again. Lol

Super good food!! The service was amazing! We loved Rafa and the host. They were very knowledgeable and kind. We had an amazing experience! We got a free dessert and it was amazing.

They provided useful tips for staying in town, what to see/where to go, and a few people even chimed in on where to avoid. I'm usually better at getting names so shame on me for that, but particularly helpful were the deli lady and the Starbucks girls, all of whom were working the morning of 12/26 at 10 am (hopefully that helps their bosses recognize them) The prices seemed good but admittedly I was in vacation mode (where money doesn't matter until you come home) and the service was top notch, but do yourself a favor and stay out of the men's room!! All three consistently have terrible attitudes. They either seem to hate their jobs, dislike dealing with customers, or both. I dread coming here knowing there's a good chance I'll have to interact with one of them, but unfortunately it's often unavoidable. In a time when good jobs can be difficult to find, you would think employees would put more effort into providing basic customer service. For the record, I am Black myself, so let's not turn this into a race issue. I only mentioned race because I don't know all of their names and wanted to identify the specific employees I'm referring to, not anyone else who may work there. These employees are consistently unpleasant and would probably be better suited for positions that involve less direct customer interaction, such as produce, stocking, or the meat department. Their attitudes make what should be a simple shopping trip far more frustrating than it needs to be.

The staff here is a little annoying at times, since they're doing a "donate to a local student scholarship drive", and the cashiers guilt-trip you (and they're fairly persistent) into donating. And when you do contribute, they broadcast it throughout the store. I get it's for a good cause, and I hate to be "that guy", but it is a little irritating after a while. On the plus side, the self-checkout attendants are usually fairly helpful and attentive, so that's good. The last time I wanted to check out, all of the registers were closed, so the self-checkout line was over a dozen people/carts long (thankfully two rows of self-checkout made the line dwindle fairly quickly). Another two lanes of self-checkout were opened at the other end of the store, but there were at least 3-4 attendants at the self-checkout lanes, so I'm curious as to why nobody was manning the actual registers. Finally, as I was leaving, two of the staff were having a casual non-work conversation, blocking the exit, so I asked them politely to move for my cart. They did so, but muttered under their breath for me to use the other exit. It was rather rude, since not only is that not appropriate customer service, but my car was parked at the other end of the parking lot, and the exit was right in front of me, which they were blocking. Overall, Krogers itself is great. You can probably find whatever you're looking for there, even if it might not be food, and for reasonable prices. But the staff and service don't always make your shopping experience a positive one.

I need to talk about Central Market on Lovers Lane and I need to talk about BP and I need to talk…read moreabout the produce section and I only have so many words so let's move. The produce section first because if I do not address it immediately I will think about it the whole time. Walking into the Central Market produce section is the closest a grocery store has ever come to making me feel like a child at Disney World. Not Disney World adjacent. Not Disney World inspired. Full Disney World. There are colors happening in that produce section that I did not know vegetables were capable of. Heirloom tomatoes in seventeen shades. Peppers that look like they were designed by an artist who was told to make a pepper but make it fashion. Mushrooms with names I cannot pronounce displayed like they are artifacts from a civilization that understood fungi better than we do. I have walked in there for one specific item and come out forty minutes later with things I have never cooked before and a quiet optimism about my future in the kitchen that has not always proven accurate but always feels real in the moment. I went once just for garlic. One head of garlic. I left with dragon fruit, three kinds of fresh pasta, a bunch of herbs that required me to look up two of them when I got home, and a wheel of cheese that I told myself was practical. It was not practical. I regret nothing. Now BP. BP runs the prepared foods counter at Central Market Lovers Lane and is the reason I sometimes drive there when I am not even hungry. BP was a high school math teacher in California for years. Years. Shaping young minds, writing equations on whiteboards, presumably grading papers on weekends with the quiet resignation of someone who has chosen a noble and exhausting profession. And then at some point BP looked at California, looked at Dallas, made a decision, and moved. He did most of the moving himself. I want you to think about that. This man, who spent years teaching mathematics, looked at a truck full of his belongings and said I will handle this personally. The kind of move that requires a certain stubbornness and also a pretty solid understanding of spatial reasoning which, given the math background, he had covered. BP is now behind the prepared foods counter at Central Market and is genuinely one of the warmest humans I have encountered on either side of a deli case. He talks to you like he has time, which in a prepared foods counter context is unusual and should be protected at all costs. He knows what is good that day. He will tell you. You should listen. Excellent store. Exceptional produce section. BP is the best part of the prepared foods counter and possibly of Lovers Lane entirely.

I stopped in to grab a few bunches so I could build my partner a custom bouquet at home -- roses, winter peonies, and lilies that were all fresh, full, and priced better than anywhere else around here. The customer service at this location is phenomenal. The lady at the register saw the flowers and asked what I was making. When I told her I was building a bouquet myself for my partner, she lit up and said, "That's how you do it." Little moments like that just make the experience feel personal. Trader Joe's employees always bring good energy, and it shows. I took everything home, trimmed the stems, mixed the colors, and built the bouquet with my own hands. The roses brought the romance, the winter peonies added that soft winter elegance, and the lilies tied the whole thing together like a final touch only she would notice. While I was there I also grabbed steaks to cook her dinner later that night. Between the flowers and the meal, Trader Joe's basically gave me everything I needed to make the whole evening special without running all over town. When I handed her the bouquet and then served dinner, the look on her face made the effort worth it. Trader Joe's helped me turn a simple idea into a real moment -- thoughtful, genuine, and meaningful.
