We came here for lunch as i really want some good salad, when i search salad on yelp, this place come out. 4.5 stars, i decided to have a try! When we walked in, we are not sure about the food, but the menu looks nice, and the lady is very friendly. I ordered their angus beef salad, husband got their panini, both are really good. My salad dressing is something worth dying for, i almost want to drink it. The beef is very tender and juice. I will definitely come back if i ever come to Galveston again.

Ate at Eatcetera for the first time today. It came recommended by friends. They knew what they were talking about. we were greeted by Chef Leena and were seated at a table of our choice. The menu selections had a nice variety. pictured is the marinated tofu, sun dried tomato panini. It was Epic!! the salad was delicious and I was surprised at the jasmine tea. really refreshing! Everything was reasonably priced and the ambiance was perfect! I cant wait to go again!!

Halloween night we went to the railroad museum in which Eatcetera supplies all the food there in the little restaurant. We went for a tour and hayride and stopped to eat; we had a panini and a all beef hotdog...both delicious! Museum is cool...haven't seen it since I was a kid...lots of history. Circa 1929 I think.

Really glad we chose this place to eat before heading to our cruise! Food was so fresh and crisp! I'm always a sucker for lux bagel and it did not disappoint! Absolutely fantastic server! Was so glad to find a place in Galveston that has vegan options. They are super knowledgeable and careful with food allergies which is so rare! The food was great and the location is convenient to downtown Galveston. They have games that you can play while waiting for your food. Prices were decent and the portion sizes were good. The great thing about this place is the combination of art and food. Set up like a coffee shop that you would find before Starbucks. The food was great. They have gluten free options as well. Kid's menu also

I nabbed a zucchini sandwich that was delicious! They gave me a choice of chips or salad as my side. I got the salad which had a homemade dijon dressing that made me want more. After passing so many little food spots still closed after being flooded a few days ago, I was excited to find this comfortable hole in the wall sandwich shop; open. Looking forward to going back.

This was some of the beat service I have ever had on the island! They also had SO MANY delish vegan and vegetarian options- also tough to find on the island! My waitress was super helpful with knowing exactly what was in each option! This was so tasty and so clean! Having healthy restaurant options is so important and they accomplish it beautifully!

Why 4 stars? Because it was tasty, but the service was a bit off. --- --- --- A family trip to Galveston led to me immediately turning to Yelp to learn about the best of the area. Despite growing up in Friendswood, the last time I'd been to Galveston was definitely in the days before Yelp, so I was curious to see what was high on the list down here. It turned out, Eat Cetera definitely had the best reviews of any restaurant around, so it was one of our first stops after we got settled in! We enjoyed our meal, but were expecting a bit more, from the highest rated restaurant in Galveston. First off, there were only a couple other diners in the restaurant, but we would go prolonged periods of time being seeing our server. I ordered a black angus roast beef salad with thai peanut-chili dressing. I planned on ordering a panini, but I thought that the combination of roast beef and peanut dressing was just too interesting to pass up. It ended up being pretty "simple" in its taste, but I enjoyed it. We ordered the creme brulee cheesecake for dessert, because, um... it's creme brulee cheesecake! It was solid! If I find myself in Galveston again, I would definitely make a return visit to try out one of those Panini's. I'm going to guess we caught them on a weird day/time because the high overall rating says that service is not normally an issue here.

Ate here for lunch while in town for work. It's quaint and welcoming, plus the food is pretty good. The menu isn't very big, but you're bound to find something in the unique list of options. I ordered the roast beef sandwich that had a blue cheese sauce on it and a side order of the soup of the day, which was red miso ramen. The flavors were fresh and comforting. The bread for my sandwich was a little too much for me to manage as it was thick and crispy. I had a hard time getting a bite with bread and all the sandwich contents. Other than that, I really enjoyed my lunch. We also got some vegan chocolate chip cookies to go. They were soft and chewy! There were several vegan and vegetarian options on the lunch menu and the dessert menu. I'll definitely be back! Ps. I only saw a paid street parking, so plan accordingly!

Holy Panini! This place is excellent! I had the mozzarella and tomato panini and it was beyond fabulous, my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his roast beef panini as well! Our waitress was very sweet and very helpful. I couldn't decide if i wanted the soup so she brought out a small sampling for me (That doesn't happen to often these days)! The sandwiches are just wonderful and the side salad that came with it was great too! My family and I are down in Galveston often and I have told my parents it must go in to our "restaurant rotation". read more

Jenice and I had lunch here last week and it was very good. We both had the Fresh Corn and Blueberry salad and we added grilled shrimp. She had the Prickly Pear tea which is regular black tea with a citrus flavor. She liked it. We had a key lime tart for dessert. It was fine but the custard was more like lemon pie filling. Great food and service. I had the Thai breakfast sandwich which was a fantastic brunch choice. I believe they only serve the breakfast choices on th weekend. My wife had the smoked salmon sandwich off their regular menu and thought it was very good as well. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Highly recommended for a change of pace on the island. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Galveston. The interior is generally small but really adorable in an eclectic way. My favorite sandwiches are the Sundried Tomato Spread with Zucchini and Baby Swiss and the Hickory Smoked Turkey with Chipotle Cream. Their sundried tomato spread is so delicious. They usually bring your table a free sampling with bread while you wait for your meal. I highly recommend dropping by here for lunch! Only drawback is that Eatcetera isn't open for dinner Monday-Wednesday! read more

This place is lovely. The atmosphere is very relaxing. My wife and I came in at 11:00AM for lunch. Good prices on menu. This menu has very unique dishes - salads, sandwiches, paninis. I had a Applewood Ham sandwich. It was good. I also had a salad as a side. Salad was good as well. Servers were friendly but confused on our order. Overall, great experience. read more

Delicious! Everything is so fresh. Complimentary crostini with either sun dried tomato spread or blue cheese spread at the beginning of each meal. There are plenty of vegetarian options and the service is impeccable. Have daily rotating specials. Highly recommend! read more

A fun spot to try that is within walking distance of the strand. A very interesting menu that is a nice change of pace from the same-old same-old fried seafood you get at most places on the island. I had the smoked salmon the last time I went, and it was delicious. read more

Decided to check this place out based on yelp reviews. It's a quaint, artsy place with warm-hearted staff. Start with the prickly pear iced tea...it's delicious! So many creative sandwich and salad combinations, and a great kids menu. Very satisfying meal!! We will return when next we're in Galveston. YUM! read more

The severs had me so stressed out I didn't know if I could stand to stay and eat! They were visibly arguing, rolling their eyes... Not sure what's up but it was extremely uncomfortable! My husband and I WERE big and loyal fans of Eatcetera for years. They switched ownership once, and things were pretty good. When they switched ownership a third time to the current owners, our first visit was disappointing but they had just reopened. I gave it another shot today. I will not give them another opportunity after the treatment my guest and I received. The owner herself (recognize her from their Instagram posts) was rude to my out of town guest and I upon arrival. We should have left then but we stayed. The food wasn't any better than her attitude. They used to serve super fresh ingredients. My salad was sparse and a bit wilted. I ordered tofu and I don't even think it equated to an ounce. My friends sandwich was all bread. Barely any meat or veggies. Very small portions and not as fresh as it used to be. We were there from 11:30 to 1:00 and only four other tables came in. Guess that's a sign of what others think as well. read more

As I walked in and peered around the small restaurant, I felt welcome. The place has a nice amount of paintings decorating the walls and it was also well furnished. When we were seated the kind waitress handed us these beautiful deep salmon colored menus filled with a various selection of sandwiches, desserts and drinks. Even though the wait for the food was quite lengthy, it was completely worth it! My taste buds exploded with joy when I finally tasted my sandwich! Not only did the food taste great it looked great! I am quite satisfied with the decision I made on coming here :) read more

What a fantastic little place for a vegan sandwich. We sat outside with our dog and were planning to get his water and treats from the car when our server came out with a water bowl and 3 dog cookies for him. The human fare did not disappoint either. As vegans it was a nice change from the veggie burgers and hummus we are often forced to eat when out. The Thai tofu sandwich was fresh and tasty with lots of carrots, cilantro, and on excellent Cuban bread that was the perfect cup of crusty and soft. The side salad was great as well and we also were served crostini with sundries tomatoes that was out of this world. We will be back for sure! read more

I love this Galveston eatery. My favorite is the salmon sandwich - lox and cream cheese on great bread. They also have really good prickly pear iced tea and the option of a side salad or chips with your sandwich. Everything is very fresh and the atmosphere is casual but nice. read more

Three and a half stars. Accidentally found this place while driving around. Stopped in for a quick bite. The place was modestly full. The waitress seemed like the walking dead. Took them a while to even get to me. On the up side the food was not bad. I has a Cuban paninni. I might go back and try again if I'm not in a hurry. read more

Quick honestly, I could not decide which sandwich place I wanted to eat. So we decided to go to BOTH places. This was the second place. I read about the Thai Beef sandwich so we came and got one to go. It was pretty good. I liked all of the shredded carrots. Very tasty. I'm glad that we checked it out. I left wishing I got a piece of the cheesecake, but we were off to yet another local spot for dessert. Glad we stopped. It would be a good place to meet for lunch. Tight dining area. I liked the bar eating area. We shared a pop while we were waiting. It would be a nice spot if you were eating alone to be able to eat there at the bar. read more

They have a separate bakery section with baked goods on display. Honestly, they didn't look super appetizing... oh well.

I always recommend people try Eatcetera when they are in town. Andrea creates inventive salads, soups, and sandwiches; with specials each week that are always worth trying. Each meal comes with one of her signature spreads & crostinis to start (roasted red pepper, blue cheese, and caper are all in rotation). As many out-of-towners have noted, Galveston does not have a very rich food culture. As a local, I think of Eatcetera as easily one of the best spots on the island. If you ever see the smoked trout salad on special, or the roasted beet sandwich, order them and make your belly happy. read more

Love this establishment. My daughter and I eat here frequently and have nothing but the best things to say. My daughter is a carnivore (Thai Beef) and I am a gluten-free vegetarian (sometimes vegan). We are always happy with our selections. There are a slew of menu items that have vegetarian and vegan options. I have even brought my young daughter and an equally young friend to one of their seasonal evening dinners and have always been welcomed. They even have board games and card games to keep everyone entertained - Connect Four is our favorite. read more

EATcetera is consistently good. And, it offers options for my GF and Vegetarian friends too. I'm a big fan of their Beef with Blue Cheese Cream Sandwich with a side of salad. I had a friend visiting whose daughter was Vegan, so their desserts were perfect. Just look for the red umbrellas on 25th Street and take advantage of the outdoor seating. Insider Tip: They also have a second location at the Galveston Railroad Museum that's open on weekends and offers a kid-friendly menu. read more

After reading so many really rave reviews I had to check it out for myself and so far so good! The white bean and kale soup was awesome as well was the crustini with bluecheese spread. I hope to try the roasted sun dried tomato spread with my turkey sandwich. It was all amazing! May go back for lunch. read more

This is one of those places where the food looks better than it tastes. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. We took our 7 and 8 year olds. This was not a good place for them as there was no kids menu and the wait was long. The servers were friendly, though. read more
