Salad bar with a fresh, hot coffee
    Kelly K.

Great little diner style restaurant and always brings back fond memories of eating here with my in laws when visiting them in PA. Kathy was a great server, very attentive. Items on the salad bar seemed fresh, the coffee was great and the wedding soup was the soup of the day and it was fantastic!

What stands out here is a reasonably priced menu and a good sized salad bar. The salad bar alone is over $9 but has lots of fresh vegetables and some prepared salads. I've eaten here a few times now and find the service very slow. The server seems to disappear for long periods of time in the kitchen, strange. The super burger is very tasty. It's like a Big Mac. The bun is really soft. I always get the sauce on the side as it's more like a tartar sauce and I don't want too much on the burger. Their pies are really good. The strawberry pie I had was outstanding with the whole fresh strawberries in it.

Eat'n Park's "super burger" for $9.99... fries were extra. Suffice to say, I'm glad that I didn't get any.

I was in the area and I usually get the "All You Can Eat" soup & salad bar. I'm averaging that and their "super burger". If I could give less than one for the burger, I would. The salad bar started at $7.99, then went to $9.99, now it's $11.99 .... as a meal. This is the top that I'll pay. If their prices go any further, it will be yet one more restaurant that I'll refuse to visit. It's just cheaper to cook at home now. The one reason that I love to go to the salad bar, is their super fresh watermelon, musk melon, and cantaloupe. Now, we get to the "super burger". There is nothing super about it. The whole burger was no bigger than my fist and the double-decker cheeseburger had one slice of cheese on it. The waitress that brought it, acted like it was the best thing in the world. When I wanted a refill on my soda, she was nowhere to be found even though the place was empty. When it came time to pay the bill, I gave her my standard tip of $5, even though the food, nor service, was worth it. She sighed and picked up the $5 bill, acting disgusted like I was wasting her time.

Eat and Park in Erie Pa. has best salad bar attendant, Carol. Every time she is here we know the bar is fresh and kept up well.

Neither of these hurt the review because though slow, service was very friendly and I would just cut out the app if I want a better price. PE was an enjoyable experience. It's nestled right in every day suburbia which made it fun - the local place. The fried chicken and waffles was very good and portions are fair. My server allowed me to sub mashed potatoes instead of the day's veggie, which I appreciated. I was excited to try "blueberry glazed" wings which, major bummer, we're seasonal. I got the sweet-hot. The wings were tasty but a little sog - slightly longer fry and good to go. I recommend Pineapple Eddie and I'll be adding it to my Erie rotation when I visit again

I've interacted with a LOT of restaurant employees at many restaurants in many states, and I've never met someone as friendly, hard working, and just all around fun to be around as her, Erie, your store has a real gem, and next time I'm in the area, definitely stopping in. (And that's coming from someone who detoured off I90 to this mall once before with the sole purpose of getting Primanti Bros). As much as I love my new, local Lexington store it will not be the same without her and the rest of the training crew here. We didn't like anything. Everything was flavorless, and over priced. We had the firebird's duranjo burger. Nice size, but over cooked and not seasoned. The parmesean crusted chicken, although a nice size and cooked perfectly again no seasoning, expected to be able taste the Parmesan crust, nothing.. We both upgraded our side to the southwest au gratin potatoes. Au gratin potatoes a creamy jalepeno cream sauce sounds like a flavor bomb, NOPE, the potatoes were under cooked and not sure how you manage not to get flavor out of jalepeno cream sauce, but they did! The crispy cauliflower with the jar sweet chili sauce was probably the best thing we did have. You can get brunch all day so, I ordered the hipster toast, and I was pictured cat fished. Mine was nothing like the picture, although I appreciate they didn't build the toast for take out and allowed me to do that myself. Still, there was maybe 7 little little cubes of avocado, no pickled onions, no spiced pecans, no parmesan cheese. What I did get was a piece of toast with goat cheese, then a box of arugula, 7 pieces of small small avocado, candied bacon pieces, radishes and heirloom tomatoes. Basically a 17 plus salad on bread. Totally a waste and not worth it. I will say though, the cilantro lime vinaigrette was delicious. But spending over 90 bucks and only enjoying a vingerette and cauliflower, won't have be coming back. Maybe ordering on Superbowl Sunday was a mistake, but I'll never know.

For lunch we tried the fish sandwich and soup / salad combo. Fish sandwich came with fries. Fish was on the small side and fries more on the mushy side. I had the onion soup and house salad. The onion soup is not French onion, it resembles it but actually has a sweet flavor. Salad was fresh, I added grilled chicken, it came with a tiny cup of dressing. They do use bottled dressing rather than house made. Our server had 5 active tables, even though she brought ketchup and dressing to the table, she didn't offer drink refills or check back after we received our food.

We had been…read morelooking for a brewery in Erie to visit after the Erie Marathon whenever Lavery Brewing popped up on Yelp. This place is large and has both outdoor seating on the side as well as plenty of indoor seating. The inside looked like a mix of cozy and industrial, with a long wooden bar stretching the length of the room, warm pendant lights hanging overhead, colorful beer boards on the wall, and shelves lined with bottles and glassware behind the bar. It had a relaxed but lively feel to it. After looking around to figure out where we wanted to sit, we ultimately chose the bar. For lunch on this day I chose to go with the pimento smash deluxxxe while my wife went with the pesto pizza. The menu described my meal as two smash patties, bacon, American cheese, pimento cheese, and onion rings on a brioche bun while my wife's was described as parsley basil pesto, triple cheese blend, fire roasted tomatoes with a balsamic glaze. I thought that the burger here was delicious as the patties were seasoned nicely and I appreciated the onion rings. While there was plenty of cheese and it was flavorful, I almost could have used more of the pimento. Then my wife liked her pizza here especially the pesto combined with the fire roasted tomatoes. Then for drinks, as I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Lavery Brewing, a flight consists of 6 beers and I chose the Active Recovery, Seeking Clarity, Lime n Cuke, Throwing Tropical Shade, Sound Mild, and Divine Intervention for my flight. I first started with the Active Recovery which was light and hoppy and very drinkable. Up second was the Seeking Clarity which had a clean start before a heavy dose of hops in the middle which surprisingly didn't linger. Third was the Lime n Cuke which has a strong cucumber smell and the drink itself is dry like most goses with a mild lime and stronger cucumber flavor. Fourth was Throwing Tropical Shade and you could really taste the orange and other tropical flavors with a finish flavor of coconut. For me this was a really delicious beer. Up fifth was the Sound Mild which was light but you got the nice flavor of those toasted malts at the finish. Last but certainly not least was the Divine Intervention which had a strong coconut flavor on the finish. Out of the bunch my favorite ended up being the Throwing Tropical Shade. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I both enjoyed the beverages and the food and we left both happy and stuffed.
