The salad bar is the highlight for our meal. There was really no service; we only saw our server one time in the beginning when she took our order. The kitchen staff brought our meals then refilled our drinks. So basically we only got one refill. JS didn't like his milkshake; it was too sweet and more whip cream than ice cream. While it seems like a cute diner and ol' school food. I wasn't impressed with our food or our service. The girl took a long time to come over and deliver drinks. Had a bit of attitude and not friendly. Then took forever to come back for our check. It wasn't very busy so shouldn't have been that much of a delay. The food was ok nothing special but if you're going to upcharge for adding mushrooms on a Philly at least add more than 3 small ones- that was annoying. 1st time here, so I had to get the salad bar. Standalone, it's $14, but it's only a $4 add-on if you replace an entree side. So I ordered a bacon cheeseburger ($12) and added on the salad bar. We went the day before Easter with a party of six. Our server was Rachel N. We were seated immediately and Rachel brought a high-chair for the baby. The restaurant was sparkling clean, and the salad bar had just been restocked and was beautiful and fresh. Eat'n Park will always be a Pittsburgh staple and my idea of comfort food. I got my favorite thing on the menu: crispy buffalo chicken wrap with house ranch. It never disappoints! We were a little bit disappointed in the service. We could sense clear tension between the staff. We waited 15 minutes to be seated even though the restaurant was half empty. They wiped down our booth before we sat, but it was still very wet with whatever they used to clean it. When I sat down, I could feel my butt getting wet, which was a little annoying because I was going somewhere after. Also, when I got my cup of coffee, the mug was dirty and look like it didn't get fully cleaned through the dishwasher. read more

The food served here is always of good quality. I enjoy the salad bar the most. There is a nice selection of soups and fresh vegetables. When we visit we have found that Grace is an excellent server, and always ask for her. She is very attentive and always checks on us to see if there is anything we need. Based on that visit and things I'd heard, I was hesitant to return, but did with co-workers on a weekday and was glad I did... The service was great! Friendly, prompt, and helpful. I ordered their Original Burger, which is like a McD's Big Mac with a side of fries. When it came out, it looked just like a Big Mac, but was fresher and tastier than any Big Mac I've ha over the past 20 years. (Last one I had was about 6 years ago because McD's is sooo inconsistent, that I don't even attempt to go to them anymore). The fries were great, better than McD's, at least to me! The server was promptly let us know that she had 2 other tables before us. No problem on my end, but the tone was very bad. She continued to complain the whole time. She complained that one group left because they were tired of waiting. She complained that someone threw away milk jugs she was saving. She pulled the milk jugs out of the trash and placed them on the counter by the milkshake machine. She was making all the other workers miserable. Average breakfast food cooked average. Barely ripe fruit, properly cooked eggs, possibly pre-cooked bacon and sausage, decent coffee. The front display case has numerous pies and cakes available for take out -- they looked good but not for breakfast. Service was okay from a timing perspective but couldn't have been less friendly if she had been told we had no money or something. Barely spoke, never smiled (which is ironic considering the fact that all the waitresses wear shirts that talk about sharing smiles with others.) No check back on the food, offered my friend more tea when she dropped the check but ignored my empty coffee cup. It was fine. We ate, we paid, we left. Overall, it's on par with a Bob Evans breakfast but without the extensive menu. read more

We order online/app and pickup at the drive-thru most often. Let me start with 'this is not the first time' having issues with orders or service. On the most recent occasion, I was missing items from my order and I was also given incorrect items. Also, the "kids" in the pickup window were goofing around instead of checking orders. There were 3 cars behind me as well. I called the manager about this and was given 2 options, come back and get the right things (not viable, my food would get cold and why should I drive for their screwup) OR get a gift card mailed within 3 weeks after a review. Both of these options show a lack of customer service. If I am able to pay them, they should be able to refund me. These are their mistakes and their bad team service. There is an epidemic at this location. It used to be very good, 5 or more years ago. I can say that at least every other time that I choose this location, I have something wrong with my order or I have bad service. read more

Very disappointing! We arrived just before 9 pm and sat down and ordered 3 salad bars. We were never told salad bar closed at 9 pm. And you can see on the menu, no mention of salad bar closing at a certain time. As soon as my kids started grabbing food they were taking away spoons and food. When I mentioned to them about it they just continued taking things away like it wasn't their problem. I then asked for the manager (George) to express my concerns only to be brought a ladle to get some soup before they cleaned that up. The check came and got charged full price for some mediocre salads. Kids couldn't even get toppings for their salads. Such a tragic tale to tell of what ALL of these places have become. It's bad fast food, with a hostess(sometimes). They used to actually have a few things that were made on site, now everything is mass produced and reheated. It is complete garbage. The service is consistently bad no matter where you go and its not the wait staffs fault really, Id blame under skilled, under paid, incompetent management and cook staff. This company established it self as a western PA icon, then said, 'okay, only money matters' and went bare bones as crap cheap as possible on EVERYTHING! Started and ended vacation with this restaurant. Open late and got the super burger and fries. As always, it was hot and delicious. The strawberry lemonade is a summer favorite but they have stopped chopping fresh strawberries in it. That's what I like best. When we returned from our trip, we had to have the fresh salad bar and shrimp. The shrimp is cooked to perfection and oh so crunchy. I live in Louisiana now, but every time I go up to visit, I always order two Superburgers (my favorite burger, anywhere) and an order of grilled stickies a la mode. Typical Eat'n Park. I was traveling and staying in Moon overnight so I could get to the airport at the crack of dawn...before the roosters crowed. I wanted something quick so I stopped by Eat'n Park for their salad bar. The restaurant is under construction but still open for business. I hope the construction will take place on the inside at some point as it needs some tender lovin' care. The hostess and server were both very nice so 5 stars for them. The salad bar was just okay. Nothing spectacular as far as salad bars go. They have all that you need for a salad so I'll give them that. My 3 star is based on the fact that I can't say that I am a fan of Eat'n Park. I ate there because there weren't too many other choices for me in Moon. read more

We had a horrific experience tonight at eat n park. We decided to place our order online and then go pick it up. When we got there the staff told us that they were packing it up. The rest of our food was getting cold as we watched one of the managers walk around carrying our baked potato for about 10 minutes. If I could leave a negative 5 I would. The service was horrible. The waiter, young gentleman was nice, but clueless, could not take orders, very forgetful. If you are going to be in this industry, than you need to write orders down if you can't remember. But, the biggest issue of all was the group of people behind us who were loud & very offensive. A complaint was made & a manager never came out to address the situation. They were discussing the Bible, sexuality & other racist/slurs that no one wanted to hear. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, but something's are meant to be left for private conversations. The ball was dropped!!! 2 complaints & no manager??? Come one!!! Definitely will not be back!!! The food is typical of Eat & Park; however, the service was stellar. As a gluten free diner, I was impressed with the knowledge and conscientiousness of our server George. He took great care of my meal (grilled chicken salad without fries) and even picked up on my gluten sensitivity after seeing me order off the gluten friendly menu and not touch any of the buns or fried appetizers that the rest of my party had ordered. Worst experience yet, ordered after a long day driving cause didn't want to cook. Had a nice size order the girl at the drive thru handled it well when we got the order checked through and realized we were missing one item no big deal got that rectified. When we got home the order was less than satisfactory. We live 5 minutes away and the fries were extremely soggy not crisp as we asked knowing we still had a few minutes to drive we ordered extra ranch dressing for Buffalo chicken salad and a Buffalo chicken wrap and got one for both. The salad was very little lettuce not even enough to fill the to go container. Over all I'd have to say that knowing how to order food for takeout we expect a few minor issues but in the case it was very disappointing and in this time we are living they need to step up their game or will fall victim to the pandemic and not survive read more

This review is strictly for the breakfast buffet. I was very unimpressed by this buffet, and this is coming from a former employee, so I already know what to expect. The food here was not very hot, and they seemed to always be running out. The first time I went up there were no biscuits or any kind of bread. (There was supposed to be, but they were out) My server was very nice and brought some for me, but by the time my boyfriend went back up to the buffet the sausage gravy was empty. No one refilled it. There were several spots on the buffet that were empty on both of my trips up, and the potatoes that they offered were slightly burnt yet cold at the same time. Service was good but if you're going to pay over $11 for buffet/coffee it ought to at least be hot. I love Eat 'n Park. I grew up eating there, and even though I live in California now, I will ALWAYS love Eat 'n Park above some place like Coco's. This location is where I always go with my family after flying into town. It feels warm and homey and the food seems to have improved even from the past. I like the updated menu-- They now have a "Smaller Portions" section, understanding that people might not necessarily be Seniors yet still want a tasty meal at a manageable size. I got the Rosemary Chicken. It seemed kind of buttery, as did the rice pilaf and vegetable sides, but not overly so. I just told myself, "The menu says it's lower calorie because it's a smaller portion, and dammit, I'm hungry," so I finished it off, cleaning my plate. I was very satisfied. My fiance couldn't stop raving about the fluffiness of their Smiley waffle. The girl at the front behind the register had a very bright, upbeat, friendly personality and we chatted about the good old Smiley Cookies and our childhood memories of them. Speaking of the Smiley Cookies, for some odd reason whoever decorated the cookies here chose to put the nose up high almost between the eyes. No! I was just here with a friend for an early dinner, and it really hit the spot! It's clean, has a nice variety on the menu, and the service was great. It's affordable for those who want to eat out without breaking the bank. Their hit chocolate is delicious, by the way! The salad bar was stocked full of a nice variety of salad ingredients and dressings, two soups, and chili. My kids like to get the salad bar as their main courses. The main course is well made every time. Parking is usually not hard to find, but sometimes it can be hard to get out of the lot, since they're located near the highway. read more
