We tried to have breakfast here on a Saturday morning, but to no avail. We were seated and ordered promptly, but that's where the quality of service stops. Our coffee and water cups were sitting dry for at least 15 mins before our waitress came around for a refill. Another 20 minutes later, and I finally received the fruit I ordered with my omelette. Around the same time, a table of 6 that was seated approximately 10 mins after us was served their food. Red flag. Another 10 minutes after that, we were served cold omelettes, complete with unmelted slices of cheese, raw vegetables, and cold toast (see pics). We immediately told our waitress that after a 45 minute wait, we couldn't eat what was served to us and asked to have it removed from the bill. The waitress obliged, but never apologized or took accountability. She seemed clueless, but eventually asked if we wanted to talk to a manger. We waited another 5 minutes to speak with someone but of course, that didn't happen so we walked out hungry and disappointed. The food was ok so no complaints there. But the service is a completely different story. Terrible service. We had a party of 11. We were shown to our table but had to wait for the menus. Not a big deal but when our waitress came she started off taking our meal order instead of or drinks. So some in the party were thrown off/ not ready. Drink refills? Nope, the waitress was nowhere to be found. Box for my food. Didn't happen so I wrapped my food in a napkin!!! Not that I mind wrapping my food to take it but you are in the customer service business and there was none. You would have thought this place was packed full of customers for this level of service and that is not at all the case. I've always liked Eat'n Park restaurants. They are my favorite sit down table order chain restaurant. Maybe it's their deco architectural style or 50's décor, but they just don't seem as chainy or boring as does the typical Denny's. Then again, maybe there's some still Pittsburg about them, "how's come?" as they would say. I stopped by this Eat'n Park while traveling and had just merely spotted it from the road. I went in, was promptly seated and order a half Ruben. The half Ruben was perfect. It was loaded with corned beef, sauerkraut and melted Swiss cheese piled high (that's very Pittsburgie) then smothered with Thousand Island dressing and served in a good rye bread roll. I loved it. It was super tasty, super good. The chili on the other hand was too watery for me and failed in having any boldness of flavor. But overall I can't say it was in anyway bad. The one thing I really have a problem with is the ingress and egress to this place. Getting down the slope to the restaurant is OK, but I had a problem figuring out where the exit was located. You have to drive down and around a hill to get back onto the highway. As they were paving the parking lot maybe some of the arrows or signs were gone, but if not, they ought to do something about that. read more

These people have the WORST people skills. My work orders from here most Fridays and at most there is 6 of us. They always give us attitude when we order, they are always rude when we pick it up. But today the lady was NASTY. The short older women with short hair was absolutely awful. She was rude to my worker when she went to pick up food. Breakfast was wonderful. I was meeting some other men and we got there at seven when they opened. They had a table set up for us in the back already. I had bacon, eggs, toast and potato cakes. It was all perfect. Our server was good and another server actually came in and visited with us at the tail end of our meeting and she was really sweet as well. Very pleased with my visit, stopping here after picking up a college student from downtown Pittsburgh on our way to Slippery Rock University for breakfast. Our server was very pleasant and efficient. I ordered a hot chocolate because I was chilled from the weather. I was sooo very pleased to see what she brought back for me -- a huge cup topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. My personal favorite is breakfast here which you can get anytime of the day. My kids love to come here and get smile waffles and the smile cookies are a classic! Salad bar is always fresh and they have some nice soups to choice from. Superburgers are also a classic if your new to eat n park. Always my go-to restaurant for some good breakfast or a quick snack. Eat'N Park isn't something new to most people but the one in Franklin Park always has a friendly environment. It's very open with the buffet right in the middle. It also has an eat-in bar with a television if you're just coming by yourself for a quick meal. Was SOOOO excited to come back to my favorite childhood staple from when I grew up. For the most part, it lived up to expectations and was just as I remembered. Sure, it's nothing super spectacular, but it's pretty decent and a very affordable meal. My only complaint is now the salad bar is not just open to order as a side at all times and from what I remember when I was little, you could always get the soup and salad bar as one of your sides. That was back in 2006 though and also younger me could be wrong. Either way though, I do think that on weekends especially the salad bar should be an option as a side all day long. It makes no sense any other way. But of course, my true love remains with their smiley cookies. I was so bummed when I didn't see pre-packaged dozens to take home, so I asked if I would be able to get a dozen in some way. Well, I lucked out because I got to take home a dozen of FRESHLY BAKED COOKIES! And that was all I truly wanted and needed from this visit. If you've never had a smiley cookie, you need to try them. What a bummer of a breakfast this morning. I was just here last week and it was great. Today, terrible. I got the same oatmeal fruit combo as last week. The only difference is the waitress. The oatmeal was grainy and looked like she poured boiling water in the bowl and gave it to me. The toast came late, after I was finished with the oatmeal. Usually the milk comes in a small drinking cup which works for me since I drink it with my toast. This time it came in a serving thing like I am going to pour it in my soupy oatmeal. I went to the Wexford, PA Eat And Park and ordered two double hamburgers as I have done for years the day after attending aPittsburgh Steelers game and the Steelers sacked the visiting quarterback during the second quarter. During this visit I was informed that that offer was for eat in only not carry out. I ordered the two hamburgers and asked for a container to carry out my unused portion and was told that a carry out container could not be given. I talked to the manager and was informed that this is the "New" policy with respect to the football promotion. I believe that this policy is a deterrent much like separating children from their parents at the border for those seeking asylum. Vinyl in the round benches make for a comfortable arrangement of people; good for small meetings and business. Several "rooms" available depending on customer's inclinations and needs. Food has always been fresh, heated, and presented well upon arrival at the table. EnP does a great job of sticking to a well honed formula for customer satisfaction in my view. If you would have asked me the past 6 months how I would rate my weekly experience at this Eat n Park, I would've given them 4-5 stars. I don't even normally care to review chain restaurants, but after today's performance, I am so frustrated I really hope their management monitors this page. I placed my office's normal order over the phone with a male and was told my order would be available in 20-25 minutes max because their kitchen was busy. When I showed up, there was apparently no record of my order and the woman asked if I wanted to place a rush order. I asked her if she could please check with the few males who would have answered the phone to see what happened as I had already waited quite some time of my lunch break to pick it up. She came back out and said nobody had any idea what happened. She then accused me of "probably calling the wrong store, in Cranberry," so I took out my phone and showed her the call to this exact location. Annoyed, she said "yes, that's us....so what can I get you?" I placed my order and she hurried off. Within about 10 minutes, I had my takeout order and was standing in the line to pay....again. I am not annoyed that I wasted 30 minutes of my lunch break sitting and waiting for the food. I'm not even annoyed that my order was somehow misplaced. and I'm not even annoyed that the entire 30 minutes I was there, a screaming baby was sitting behind me while his mother let him cry and disturb the entire restaurant. I am annoyed that this woman couldn't even express so much as a simple "I apologize for the confusion" and on top of that, accused ME that it was MY mistake! I work in customer service and this is a piss-poor way to handle an easily-resolved situation. When I got back to my office and opened the bag, one of the containers that was carelessly thrown in it had exploded and made a huge mess over multiple peoples' food. My burger with the over-easy egg on top was actually a burger with a raw egg/runny egg-white on top. So all of that fiasco for me to not even be able to eat my lunch. This is probably one of the nicer locations I've been to! The HOT turkey sandwich was very salty and Luke warm. The place was relatively clean. You basically get what you pay for! It's a quick sit down fast food type of place. The waitress was very kind and did a good job so I gave her a decent tip. Otherwise only visit if you're starving and you don't have much time! The waiter (wearing a name tag that read "Mr. Deems" but 'Michael' is on the receipt) was busy having a vulgar conversation with another waiter only a few feet from us in which he repeated used the f word. This location gets the same rating as the other two I've reviewed. (I know I know, I definitely make my rounds at the Eat'n Parks around the city...Don't judge!) I go here every Tuesday morning - I'm involved in a networking group and we meet for breakfast weekly. They have a great back room with doors to close out the noise and it's perfect for our group of 15. We all order breakfast, and we have our meeting, eat, and are done by 9am. They are really quick and efficient and that's appreciated from everyone within our group. This is also a 'diner style' Eat'n Park with a cafe area in front. It's also right at the intersection of Rt. 910 and I-79, so if you're traveling through the area it's a good place to stop at for a quick meal. read more
