This is my favorite lunch spot in key west. I tell everyone I can about it! The food is just so good and you can tell a lot of love goes into making it. Everything I have tried so far has been great. The Italian sub is spectacular! It's everything an Italian sub should be and the bread is toasted to perfection. I also love love LOVE the roasted carrots side... and I don't even love carrots typically! But they make them so good here. What a gem. Stopped in for lunch. Ordered the wood fired half Jerk chicken, ginger lime coleslaw and Caribbean curry cauliflower. The jerk seasoning was super! Toned down a bit from other I've had but the wood smoked cooking made the chicken moist and delicious. The slaw had a small punch and the cauliflower had toasted chickpeas, golden raisins, curry yogurt and cilantro. So many tastebuds were activated. All served with compostable fork and knife. We came across this place by accident. Their backup smoker in the back caught my husbands eye while we were on the road and he's like we gotta go try it. Damnnn. Every app was so different than what we're used to but in the best way. Each appetizer had an Asian kick to it. Good barbecue in the keys is a rarity, Eaton good takes the gold metal for amazing barbecue on this small island. Coming from Texas, I was unsure what to expect from barbecue in Florida but wow Eaton good really impressed me! We all got the chicken, both jerk and citrus. Very good, jerk was definitely more flavorful. The Smokey flavor was very light, I would've preferred a little more smoke flavor but the chicken was cooked to perfection. They didn't have any dipping sauces which I would've really liked but the chicken was perfectly juicy so didn't necassarily need it; but would've been nice. The sides were amazing, curry cauliflower was my favorite. The salad wasn't worth the 10$ and a rooster on the patio made the salad spill over so had to toss it. Also it's not really kale like it's marketed as. Mac and cheese was very good but be aware it's the most expensive side so they won't give you two sides of mac which is silly given the high price tag on the menu items in general. read more
