I had the pulled pork, Mac and cheese and ginger lime slaw. 2.5 stars . The Pork, to me, was very bland. The flavors of the included sauce helped it. Pork was nice and moist however. Other than the smoked aspect, I'd like to know how the pork was prepared? What woods? Rubbed? What with? With or without binder? Hoping to be able to try the brisket at some point soon. 4 stars. Mac and cheese. Flavor was good and it's nice that it was a home style Mac. However, the amount of breadcrumb mixed into my side portion really dried out the dish. 5 stars. Ginger Lime Slaw. Flavors meshed well together. It was nice it wasn't a heavy mayo based slaw. The super thin, string like cabbage was a good change of pace. Pepper was nice, tad too much salt but didn't detract overall. Service was good. Didn't take too long to get the food. Will update when I get the brisket! read more

All outdoor seating so if you're looking for a reprieve from the heat, pick a different place. There's about 5 tables out front. I thought the food itself was meh, lots of spices and herbs but somehow still bland, the only flavor came from the BBQ sauce but it was fairly spicy which was so unwelcome considering how hot it was. We had pulled pork, quartered chicken, potato salad, mac n cheese and coleslaw. Hated the potato salad and coleslaw. Mac was heavy but our favorite thing. We ended up throwing most of the food away. Even the cookie was just ok. Considering the price of everything I would much rather have a nice sit down dinner somewhere. Yum! This place has the juiciest most flavorful jerk chicken I've ever had! The chicken made me a regular customer, but dang those specials don't disappoint either! The rabbit this past weekend blew my socks off (who knew rabbits were are savory as they are sweet!), and today that pastrami sandwich did not make it home before I devoured it like a wild animal. If there were an option to add a 6th star, I would. WOW. My boyfriend and I were scrolling through Yelp to decide where to go to dinner tonight and decided to give Eaton Good a try because we were craving some BBQ. Upon entering the cute little corner shop, we were greeted by both the owner and one of his employees. As we stood back to decide what to order we heard the owner take a call from a customer who had come in earlier but unfortunately got home and was missing part of his order, and before he even heard what the issue was he was already talking about what he could do to make it right for the customer! He offered to personally drive them their order or keep a note to make them something fresh another time and I was simply blown away. What spectacular customer service! When we stepped up to order he was great about helping us decide what we'd like best on the menu and even gave us an extra burnt end for having to wait just a few minutes for our sweet potatoes. But let me tell you, I would have waited 4 years in the desert for these sweet potatoes. ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! But so was everything else. When we were halfway through our meal he came out again to bring us a cookie! He chatted with us about the rest of our trip and gave us suggestions for the rest of our meals. Such a fun experience to meet an owner of a business who loves what he does and cares so much about his customers and the service they receive!! Give this place a try you won't be sorry! My parents and I went here in February of 2024, almost 6 months ago. My dad and I still reminisce about the coffee and talk about it about a week, (I think it was just an americano with cream...?) something about it was just so good. OMG!!! Reluctantly ordered the Italian sandwich and my wife got the 7 cheese mac and cheese. Walked home about 20 mins and it was PHENOMENAL! I've eaten a thousand sandwiches and this one was one of the best I've ever had, "juicy" and a lil spicy made on their house made focaccia bread...and, it was still amazing the next morning! This barbecue place opened in fall 2022 and has quickly become a neighborhood favorite. Chris, the head honcho, previously had a BBQ joint in New York, which earned accolades from Texas Monthly magazine, which takes its 'cue VERY seriously. Chris knows what he's doing, so much so that he's ambitious enough to vary the barbecue method and try alternatives to traditional sides. Purists needn't worry about the smoking method. To this Texan's taste, Chris's version is better than the usual. The sides are imaginative. Broccolini instead of the predictable potato salad and baked beans. He's wisely kept the mac 'n cheese, but he's secure enough in his abilities that he'll venture into different tastes; I can't wait to see what else he'll try. Atmosphere is cool: outdoor seating in this former gas station. When I was there yesterday, he played Led Zeppelin's first album over the sound system. I'll be a frequent customer. If you go to Key West, I know you are probably thinking you will want sea food, but you have to go to Eaton Good. The food was absolutely amazing. My husband and I got a 1/2 pound of the brisket and a 1/2 pound of a hot honey burnt ends. Once I tried the burnt ends, I almost didn't want to share them with him. But I did. Reluctantly. The meats were so tender and flavourful, probably some of the best barbecue I've ever had. The sides were delicious also. We got four different ones, but my favorite was the charred broccolini. We've often cycled and driven passed Eaton Good. A charming atmosphere - we decided to make this a lunch destination following a visit to Eaton Bike Shop. SO GLAD WE DID. What a gem of a casual, outdoor dining restaurant. When we entered, we were greeted by the biggest and most sincere smile. He took us on a tour of the menu. The wood fired smell was mesmerizing! We both ordered the jerk chicken with ginger lime coleslaw and curry cauliflower. The jerk chicken filled our mouths with such a delicious medley of flavors....and the chicken meat.....I can only describe it as satin-like and smooth....melt in your mouth with a delicate smokey flavor! DELICIOUS! The ginger-lime coleslaw - like an oasis of fresh flavors for the mouth! I am not a big fan of curry, but SURPRISE! The curry cauliflower is AMAZING as it appears to be baked with the sprinkling of curry and a delicious topping and then the little, tiny & crunchy nuggets and little fruits - wow! Sitting outside at the little picnic tables, it felt so intimate. The way the flowering vines and pots of a variety of mature palms were positioned around the dining area......It was simply enjoyable! Do not pass up a chance to dine in or carry out from Eaton Good. Eaton Good is the newest food establishment in my neighborhood. It has exceeded my expectations. So far I've had their ribs which were cooked to falling-off-the-bone perfection with a tangy bbq sauce that coated each rib in velvety perfection. The burnt ends pork belly was bathed in a honey inspired glaze that made every bite I took a fervent plea for more. The brisket is also bound to become a key west classic - just had a brisket sandwich which includes coleslaw within with just the right amount of sauce - which is in the running for one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Then there are the side dishes - an eclectic combo of vegetables done in ways that complement the smoked meats.I recommend that everyone living here or visiting key west try out this restaurant ( free parking and outdoor tables). Being that I live two blocks from this gem means that I'll be going back time after time all through this coming summer! One of key west's newest pleasures !! read more
