This is one of the best AYCE sushi restaurants I've been to as they have great rice to fish ratios and put out the best quality of fish. I loved how they do the hand rolls here as well! I would personally pass on the poke salad on my next visit and order more sushi instead. Well, I'm going to break the trend and not give Eat's a 5 star. Perhaps I'm biased having been to many other AYCE sushi spots dozens of times, mostly in Vegas, so I can't help but make comparisons. Plus: The interior feels very spacious, modern and clean. I really like the ambiance. Service was prompt and friendly. The staff worked fast and were very attentive of clearing tables, filling water, bringing out dishes. Minus: The flavor was not there. Many of the items we ordered had little flavor. The wasabi was very weak with a powdery consistency. It didn't mix with soy sauce to make a thick paste, it just crumbled apart. The menu isn't as extensive as what I'm used to or had hoped: ie. Few nigiri choices, fewer appetizer choices and no dessert. One item that was questionable was the sushi blossom. We tried the raw fish on top by itself, and they had a weird fishy (not so fresh taste) The other nigiri were fine, but the rolls really needed more flavor. The tempura sauce was pretty sweet and didn't pair well. However, we ended the meal with miso soup and a bowl of udon, which was savory and soothing. We left there full, but was very thirsty the entire afternoon, and something didn't sit well in my stomach. Again, I can't help but compare it to the many places we've been to in Vegas and in Pasadena, so that's my take. Many others who gave Eat's 5 stars of course feel differently. Quality was pretty solid, fish was fresh, quick service when it came to ordering through the paper on a weekday during dinnertime! My group got the standard ayce set & we think we ate our money's worth. They have nice dimly lit booths & interior looked really nice. My favorites were definitely the pepper salmon/tuna nigiris & salmon/yellowtail collar! Shishito peppers and edamame were also yummy. I also enjoyed the shrimp/vegetable tempura as they were crispy! Baked mussels were also really good, had crawfish & scallops within. I enjoyed the Albacore delight roll alot, crispy spicy tuna was huge btw but delish LOL. One thing I was a little disappointed in was that they listed a crab nigiri roll but it was actually krab aka imitation crab, it was just a little misleading on the menu, so maybe that can be something they can fix to avoid confusion bc their rolls with krab lists krab. I've been here before when it was a different name but also AYCE. You mark your choices and get three rounds of food. There is street parking and a parking structure around back. The restaurant is spacious and well decorated with nice music playing. The servers were friendly, attentive, and prompt. The food quality was good. My highlight were the pepper salmon and Pink Lady. I felt the menu wasn't extensive enough considering the price point for Weekday lunch - $39.99! There were too many rolls options. By 2nd Round, we were stuffed with all the rice and crab filled rolls. There should have been some sashimi or carpaccio options. There appetizer section was minimal. Speaking of the price, there needs to be an update. On their website and at the restaurant posting, it still says $29.99 for Lunch Special (Mon-Fri). This was why we went. Upon being seated, we were informed of the new price due to tariffs. Yes, I could have left but we were hungry and already there! Finally got to try this new AYCE sushi place in Alhambra that everyone's been raving about. We stopped by for dinner on a weekday so it was $36.99/person. There were so many items to choose from the regular option so we opted out of the premium option, which was $48.99/person. We ordered Carpaccio, tempura, miso soup, house salad, baked green mussels, baby lobster rolls, sushi, takoyaki, edamame, salmon collar, spider roll, and Philadelphia roll. The sushi tasted really fresh and the carpaccio was our fav dish. Everything was really yummy and portion size is just right. Loved that they didn't add that much sushi rice with the nigiri. For $39 (which is definitely the cheapest AYCE sushi I've had), you get to choose from a wide variety of rolls and apps (including a ton of non-rice rolls which I really enjoyed). Flavor/freshness was a solid 7/10. Service was really quick, all staff were friendly. Got on the waitlist at 7pm on Saturday and were seated about ~30 min later. Very large free parking lot right behind the restaurant. Also, great street to walk around after with shops and other restaurants. The women's bathroom was really unkept and gross!! One of the best ayce sushi I've been to. Let's start with the staff. They are incredibly friendly and helpful. From getting your sushi quickly to refilling drinks, they handle everything with care and make sure you enjoy your dining experience. For the sushi, these are extremely high quality and fresh. As you can see in the fish, they are very fresh brilliant color and made to order. Some of my standouts include unagi, sashimi, sweet shrimp, halibut, blue crab, salmon toro. Highly recommend that you get the premium option as it does give you better options. However they do allow partt members to order mixed as long as they are all you can eat. As for the interior, this place feels very aesthetic and calming. The decoration makes you feel like you belong here. Parking is free in the parking structure being the place. I went during lunch time because daily limited supply. I wanted to make sure I got to try everything on that Premium menu. My favorite ones are soft shell crab and all the new style sashimi. They are huge pieces! If I order a la carte at sushi restaurants, the price will be more than double. Not only I can order these special items, there are still two full pages of sushi, speciality rolls and hand rolls to choose from. The price is unbelievable & affordable with the high quality fish & ingredients! Also, if you are cutting back your carbs, they have selections of "No Rice Roll". How thoughtful! I genuinely believe i've been the biggest Eats sushi fan for so many years now. I go to the OC locations weekly- once I discovered the AYCE location it changed my world. Everything is so good. TLDR: It's all you can eat sushi. What's not to like? You have a bunch of options to choose from, and I felt that everything that I ate had a place in the menu. Sushi: It's mostly solid. I'm happy that none of the fish had a funny taste and all the options offered something different. I like the pepper versions of the fish since it was a shift in flavor compared to the base versions. The one roll I had was decent. Sides: This is the second place that I've been to that understands that the key to a successful AYCE spot is to have amazing sides. All their deep fried sides are good. The bulgogi was good, the mussels were good, the teriyakis were good, and the collars were sizable. Service: Very good service. Things were served quickly, and they weren't slow when it came to getting the empty plates, and they weren't shy in asking us if we wanted anything else. Ambiance: It's a big spot, so space isn't an issue. The Japanese theming is not lost to me, and I'm glad to see Japanese chefs do their thing behind the counter. read more

Been eyeing this spot for AYCE sushi, and finally got around to trying it. Located on bustling Main St in Alhambra, Eat's Sushi is in a great spot with nearby street parking and a parking structure. We came in for the lunch special (a great deal), and also got one premium upgrade. We didn't realize the premium menu wasn't included in the lunch special, but that's okay. Thankfully it wasn't super expensive, and we got to try the premium menu out which was a plus. The sushi overall was pretty good. Not amazing, but not bad either. Some sushi was fresher and tastier than others. Loved the yellowtail (regular and premium), premium salmon. Rice is also good on all of the nigiri. Also really enjoyed the premium blue crab handroll! Wasn't a big fan of the squid or octopus, which was too wet and chewy. Some cuts of the nigiri were very thick, making them filling--a con for me, but may be a pro for others. The nigiri selection also feels somewhat limited compared to other AYCE sushi spots I've been to. The premium menu overall was just OK. I wouldn't order it again, but the lunch special was definitely worth the price! read more

I have been to this place probably more than I should have but it's really really solid. I really like going during the day. I'm not sure if they have a lunch special but I'm pretty sure it's a different price than dinner. It's so nice inside. I really think they recently renovated it because it looks a little bit different from a couple months ago. I really really like all of their choices here. Every time I go I'm stuffed to the brim, but I find new new rolls to try each time. This last time I went we got some non-rice rolls and they were fantastic. I really don't remember what they're called but I absolutely love all of their sushi here. It's pretty good quality like the kind that is so tender it melts in your mouth almost. I would absolutely keep going here if I could. I probably shouldn't have sushi too many times in a month but I would if I could. I recommend this place to all of my friends. It's so close to where I live. It's on the main street in Alhambra, where everyone can go and visit and it really is just amazing quality sushi that you really can't find all over SGV. I especially love going here for all you can eat. Again you will get stuffed, but you will be able to do several rounds unlike some other places because of how good quality this fish is! A must go. I will be back!! Parking is in the back structure just like most of the locals here know. You can also park on the street and I highly recommend that you stop here and enjoy as many rounds as you can then walk around Alhambra to burn those calories because it will make you come back. Our group of 7 all did the all you can eat sushi, and was able to share 2 premium ayce upgrades. This consisted of some sashimi and premium appetizers and rolls that we otherwise would not have gotten with their regular selection. For how much we were able to enjoy from the premium offerings, it was well worth paying for the upgrade. The pepper tuna was a favorite. The nigiri option in the regular ayce was actually the same fish served as sashimi in the premium ayce portion, so it was better quality and flavor than some of the other seafood. Service was fine, nothing special. They have a large space, so they let us eat and yap well beyond our "2-hour limit." We ate through all 3 ayce rounds, and appreciated that there was no limit on how much we could order per round. No weird ayce rules, good quality fish, and rice/fish ratio was perfect. We went in on a Thursday night, we are two adults and two kids. They measured both of my kids at the entrance , and one had to pay and one did not which you were totally fine with. We went with the basic all-you-can-eat option. We put in our first round and food came out very quickly, my older kid was very excited to order his own rolls and get his own plates. Service was fine and we were checked in on often. I do like that the roles are only four pieces so you could try a little bit of everything. Ambience was more chill and relaxed, tables and booths were nice. AYCE had so many options, from salads, to appetizers, two small plates and so many rolls. How come I didn't discover this place sooner? A great choice for high quality premium AYCE sushi options. You can only add to the waitlist when you get to restaurant so make sure to come a little bit earlier than the time you plan to eat. They have a regular and a premium option and not everyone is required to choose the premium option if someone wants to try it out in your group. For the premium items, it's 1 order per item so it's based on number of people choosing this option. This makes it easier because not everyone is forced to choose the expensive option. Although I must say the premium is worth the extra money! The amount of sashimi you get to try is worth it. Plenty of sushi, rolls qnd appetizers to choose from. This AYCE sushi spot was honestly one of the best, if not the best quality sushi spots I've had. The blue crab items were insanely good, which surprised me because I'm usually not even a fan of imitation crab from most places. Everything tasted fresh and premium, and they had so many higher-end selections that made the price feel completely worth it. We did have a little trouble getting seated because of our big party, and the wait ended up being longer than the estimated time.
