    Dine LA set Wagyu
    Annie W.

We visited for the Dine LA deal, and highly enjoyed the value and the quality of all the meat. The wagyu here is definitely top notch and they offer several year round value sets that are worth checking out. There is free parking in the garage below and you also get access to the entire plaza of shops and restaurants like Naisnow and Daiso. The Dine LA set came with several appetizers and courses. It came with the fried rice bibimbap which was delicious, pretty oily but also rich and meaty. It also came with the carpaccio which was super indulgent. There is a generous amount of parmesan and the meat melts in your mouth. We also got to try the beef tongue which was chewy and paired with a light citrus dressing and fresh onions and other veggies. The star of the show was the grilled meat. Our set came with vegetables and dipping sauces to pair. All of the wagyu was so tender - the quality of the meat shines through without any seasoning. The service of the restaurant is excellent, we came in when it wasn't particularly crowded but a server came by frequently to check on us and refill water. I believe iWagyu is relatively new to the plaza and the restaurant looks super new inside. It is an upscale and luxurious ambiance with beautiful furnishings and a very clean restroom. Definitely recommend visiting for high quality meat and service.

POV: You open the box and realize the Wagyu is the main event. Japanese BBQ night at iWagyu in Monterey Park and we went all in with their iWagyu Experience We started with: Fresh Orange Salad Appetizer Platter Thai Style Braised Beef Tongue Crispy Japanese Fried Chicken But the STAR? That box of meats. American Kobe Wagyu Toro Wagyu Short Rib Wagyu Oyster Blade Thick-Cut Beef Tongue Grilled right at the table and every cut brought something different. We also tried the Spicy & Sour Beef Soup and sizzling Ishiyaki Negi Wagyu Bibimbap to round out the feast. They also have lunch + weekday specials if you want your Wagyu fix without going all-out on the full experience. Save this for your next Japanese BBQ night!

Chef's special, contained everything we wanted!

Man I can't get over how good this place keeps being. From the wonderful playlist they always seem to be playing (mix of pop, Kpop, and others) at a reasonable volume to the AMAZING drinks to the freshest salad ever to the melt in your mouth wagyu.... People always complain I overhype things but when I like things and recognize how great something is, I want everyone to know! Special shout out to Krystal for taking care of us, it seemed sometimes even singlehandedly. She made my friend's birthday and first time at iWagyu very special and she's always the first person you'll see coming here.

I tried the lunch special which is $78 for members and $88 for non members. It came with a large spread of high quality meats. It was enough for two people to share. The Wagyu belly and the bone in short ribs were my favorite. The meats and flavorful and tender. You can see the marbling of the meats. The presentation is amazing too. They also have cocktails which were a good price at $8. The ambience is upscale and a good experience.

iWagyu was such a fun find in Monterey Park, especially if you're looking for a more elevated yakiniku experience without it feeling overly formal. Service was attentive. We ordered the thick-cut beef tongue ($26), A5 Japanese Wagyu nakaochi ($35), American Love dragon-cut Wagyu ribs ($22), spicy edamame ($4), rice, and the $8 kimchi/daikon platter. The thick-cut beef tongue was probably my favorite of the night - super tender with a nice bite and really satisfying once it got a good sear on the grill. The A5 nakaochi was noticeably richer and more buttery, so a little definitely goes a long way. The dragon-cut Wagyu ribs were also a standout and felt like a good value compared to some of the pricier cuts. I also liked having the spicy edamame on the side to break up all the richness. Everything came out looking fresh and well-presented, and the experience felt very interactive and shareable. Definitely a solid option in the SGV for Wagyu lovers or a nicer casual dinner

Honestly, if someone told me I could get legit M9+ and A5 Miyazaki Wagyu for under thirty bucks without getting ripped off, I'd assume there was a catch. But iWAGYU in Monterey Park actually delivers. The space looks sleek and modern without feeling stuffy. You've got comfortable private booths, and you immediately smell the rich broth and sizzling meat the second you walk in. They even have their official Grade 5 Miyazaki certificate framed right by the door, so you know it's 100% real deal before you even sit down. Service was spot on, too. Our server actually knew the menu inside and out and helped us time everything out on the grill. Watching them torch the A5 Wagyu tableside was awesome, and they kept our broth topped off the whole time. We basically ordered a spread, and every single thing hit: Sukiyaki Lunch Special ($29): Easily the best value on the menu. Loaded with M9+ Wagyu, veggies, udon, and egg dip. Torched Tableside A5 Wagyu (Aburi Tsukimi): Insanely marbled, super buttery, and melts in literally five seconds. That egg yolk dip is non-negotiable. Wagyu Belly & Bone-In Short Rib: Crazy tender and packed with flavor off the grill. Thai Braised Beef Tongue & Scallion Tongue: Loved the flavor on these a great mix of savory, bright, and tender. Spicy & Sour Beef Soup & Sake Mojito: The soup gave us a great kick, and the Sake Mojito was super refreshing to cut through all the rich meat. Cheesecake Sundae: Definitely save room it was the perfect sweet finish to a heavy meal. Whether you're hitting their weekday lunch special or going all out on A5 Miyazaki for dinner, this place is easily one of the best food spots around. Amazing service, great atmosphere, and crazy good meat. I'm definitely coming back.

omg. everything was delicious. came with a group of 3, expecting to be able to order the dine la set (bc it said avail for groups of 2 or more) and didnt realize it only came in sets of 2. We shared it and added on an order of beef tongue and it was perfect. i felt that the amount of food you get for the price you pay was very worthwhile. it's a la carte but because wagyu is so rich you don't need a lot to get full. Definitely try the stone bibimbap too!! I loved the crisp rice and how flavorful it was, it was divine eating it paired with the rich meats. i can't wait to come back and try more food!

Went on a Thursday night and it was busy but still great service. We ordered the IWagyu Exlerience which included 4 appetizers and 6 main. Besides the meat which is pictured. Their ishiyaki negi wagyu bimbibap was one of the best things I've eaten in my life. I was nervous the seaweed or the sauce would overpower but this was an exceptionally balanced dish of all the flavors and spices from sweet to savory. I forgot to take a picture of it but I haven't stopped thinking about it since I left. Definitely a must go location while in the area.

Lunch special 78$!! For this price food and quality is awesome (there is more food but I was too hungry) Definitely will come come back again Our server Vic and krystal did very well too

Me wife and I had a fantastic experience here at iWagyu. The food was all top notch and the service was even better. We had the lunch special and it was more than enough food for both of us. I can't wait to come back and try the full experience. Highly reccomend this place to anyone who loves meat!

The problem of Wagyu is that you do get full easily and feel quite bloated after eating so much fatty meat. iWagyu offers meat with lovely marveled meats that I think means that the fat is better distributed and doesn't make you feel so bloated. The garlic beef tongue was really good and cuts well due to the greens on top. The fried chicken was good but along with the sweet and sour sauce was pretty standard. The beef tartare was crisp and refreshing as an appetizer. Top Blade was a favorite for my family because it wasn't as fatty. Also, the Ishiyaki Negi Wagyu Bibimbap was quite good not oily compared to other beef bibimbaps. Quick service and delicious food. It's a really good deal if you want a solid spot to come for good quality and well-marbled meats.

DineLA @ Iwagyu Excellent meat!! The quality and the service is much better than Chubby! I like the MK store much better than their Rowland heights one! It's fancier, less crowded and less noisy!

So I ended up trying iWagyu ATS BBQ after the dim sum restaurant next door we originally planned to go to had to close an hour early due to an inspection the following day. Since we were already in the area, why not give it a try. Parking took a little patience. There's parking in the structure downstairs, but it was extremely full for a Tuesday night. We had to circle around several times before finally finding a spot. The restaurant itself has a little more upscale atmosphere feel to it, even though quit a few customers were casual, including myself. When you hear "wagyu," you already expect higher-quality meat and a more premium dining experience, and this place definitely gives that vibe. We were seated pretty quickly, even though there were quite a few guests inside. The booth seating was spacious and comfortable. One thing to note is that the pricing varies depending on whether you're a member or non-member, so be prepared to spend a little more here since it is on the pricier side. We ordered a couple appetizers along with several meat selections, and overall the food was okay, nothing special or spectacular but good. The service was decent, although it did seem like the staff catered a bit more attentively to certain member tables. Still, everyone was polite and the experience overall was enjoyable. If you're looking for something more upscale and different from traditional Korean BBQ, this is definitely a place worth trying. It feels like a fancy Japanese-style BBQ experience with premium meats and a stylish atmosphere.

I remember when they first opened, I was thinking to myself, "Hell yeah, finally it's closer to us…read moreand now I don't have to go all the way to like Torrance or something." Well that was ages ago and it wasn't until now that I was able to visit and try out their delicious katsu, which hands down, is super good! I went during National Library Card Month. During the month of September, the city of Monterey Park is running a special where if you have a MPK library card, you can get deals and freebies from businesses and you can get an iced or green tea from Kagura if you show them your library card. I got a cold canned green tea, added to a cup of ice, refreshing and great with the delicious katsu that I got. I did a walk in for a slightly later lunch after dropping by Asayoru Maid Cafe across the street for a drink during their morning Asa shift. I went on a Thursday and was seated immediately. Staff is very friendly and checked up on me several times. It's a smaller restaurant, but it's simple and elegant in it's own way. No extra frills or bells and whistles. There were a couple other tables dining there and pick up orders too, so I can imagine it'd be busy during the weekends and lunch/dinner rushes. They have a paper wait list outside for those times. Limited parking in front of the plaza, but there's a parking structure next door. For my lunch, I got their demi glace loin katsu. It comes with miso soup, a side of rice, huge helping of cabbage salad with dressing, hot mustard, and some small sides of a sweet carrot salad, cucumber pickles, and 2 pieces of potatoes. Each side added a nice balance to flavor. I mention this in some reviews and to my friends that usually you get full because you get tired of the same flavor and texture all of the time, so I really enjoyed the small bites of crunchy texture from sweet, sour, and savory. The katsu is really where Kagura shines, as it's what they're known for. Super moist pork katsu meat inside, deliciously tender delicate layers of meat. The crisp of the breading outside isn't too greasy, but has the perfect level of indulgent oiliness that balances out. All perfect with a fluffy bed of rice and the demi glace brown sauce added a deliciously savory, slightly sort of fruity ketchup-y flavor (added this to my rice too!). Definitely want to come back to try more of their menu!

The fish was tender and the skin was beautifully crisp. It was served with a slightly tangy dipping sauce, which provided needed acidity.
