The service here is absolutely phenomenal. Our main server was incredibly attentive, taking the time to explain each dish and even helping us grill our food to perfection! The ambiance strikes a beautiful balance between inviting and luxurious, making it the perfect spot for a date night. While the tender cuts of meat and premium wagyu were the stars of the show, my unexpected favorite was the House Salad. It was wonderfully refreshing with a completely addictive dressing. Our server recommended wrapping the mixed greens in a perfectly cooked piece of wagyu, and it was an absolute BOMB combination. The presentation of the Classic Wagyu Combo was next-level; the dry ice rolling over the meats created a cinematic, high-end experience. We also tried the Japanese Wagyu Shrimp Tartare, which was a total flavor explosion and something I will definitely order again. Only giving this place 4 stars since the quality of meat was very good and you could really see the marbling and fattiness of the beef. The meat was what I expected of a place that specialized in wagyu and the beef really melted into your mouth. Everything else however was very mediocre. Considering you're paying a lot of money for the beef, you'd think that the side dishes would be complimentary. It was not. You have to pay $8 for unlimited kimchi/radish, $8 for unlimited lettuce, and $10 for extra vegetables which I found pretty absurd. It's kind of a necessity to eat other things since there's just so much fatty beef you're consuming at one time, and they're really capitalizing on that. Additionally, the service was similar to what you'd get at a low end kbbq place like Gen. The waiters just dropped off the ice water and only took our orders when we flagged them down. The bare minimum. Considering you're paying so much money, you'd expect better service. I was also disappointed by the fact that they don't cook the wagyu for you, you cook it yourself. read more

The problem of Wagyu is that you do get full easily and feel quite bloated after eating so much fatty meat. iWagyu offers meat with lovely marveled meats that I think means that the fat is better distributed and doesn't make you feel so bloated. The garlic beef tongue was really good and cuts well due to the greens on top. The fried chicken was good but along with the sweet and sour sauce was pretty standard. The beef tartare was crisp and refreshing as an appetizer. Top Blade was a favorite for my family because it wasn't as fatty. Also, the Ishiyaki Negi Wagyu Bibimbap was quite good not oily compared to other beef bibimbaps. Quick service and delicious food. So I ended up trying iWagyu ATS BBQ after the dim sum restaurant next door we originally planned to go to had to close an hour early due to an inspection the following day. Since we were already in the area, why not give it a try. Parking took a little patience. There's parking in the structure downstairs, but it was extremely full for a Tuesday night. We had to circle around several times before finally finding a spot. The restaurant itself has a little more upscale atmosphere feel to it, even though quit a few customers were casual, including myself. When you hear "wagyu," you already expect higher-quality meat and a more premium dining experience, and this place definitely gives that vibe. We were seated pretty quickly, even though there were quite a few guests inside. The booth seating was spacious and comfortable. One thing to note is that the pricing varies depending on whether you're a member or non-member, so be prepared to spend a little more here since it is on the pricier side. We ordered a couple appetizers along with several meat selections, and overall the food was okay, nothing special or spectacular but good. The service was decent, although it did seem like the staff catered a bit more attentively to certain member tables. Still, everyone was polite and the experience overall was enjoyable. If you're looking for something more upscale and different from traditional Korean BBQ, this is definitely a place worth trying. She was not tentative and I kept having to flag someone down to request for something. We got the classic Wagyu combo and I think we only liked one of the cuts. Came to Iwaygu recently and really enjoyed the experience overall. The food was great and definitely lived up to the hype. Service was also very good, especially considering how busy the restaurant was that night. Our server was incredibly kind, patient, and did her best to keep up with everything. The only small downside was that our table was seated in a more hidden area of the restaurant, so there were a few moments where it felt like we were forgotten about. That said, I honestly think it was more due to the layout and how packed the restaurant was rather than the service itself. Despite the rush, our server still provided a great experience and remained attentive whenever she came by. I honestly have no complaints about the food itself. My only suggestion would be adding more vegetable-based dishes or lighter side options, since many of the dishes were very rich, oily, and fatty. Tried Iwagyu, the new wagyu BBQ spot at Atlantic Times Square, and overall it was a great experience. The quality of the meat and dishes is really impressive. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and felt worth the price. Speaking of price, it's actually pretty reasonable for wagyu, and they offer membership deals that are surprisingly worth it--you can basically make your membership fee back in one visit. The interior is very clean, spacious, and has a more upscale, modern feel compared to typical KBBQ spots. One thing I really appreciated was the ventilation. There are no overhead vents, but the smoke control is excellent (apparently built into the grill), and I didn't leave smelling like BBQ, which is rare. Service was great. Our server, Ding, was attentive, polite, and quick with everything we needed. I've been wanting to try this place since it opened & the perfect opportunity arose when the line for Hong Kong cafe was too long. I was under the impression that it was another chubby group establishment but after reading the menu more carefully, I realized it was its own company. The menu is quite extensive with most items being à la carte. There's three set menus that come with a variety of meats and small dishes. I ordered one of the chef's specials for two people. It came with 4 different meats, a specialized rice bowl, beef tongue, and an additional portion of Wagyu. Our waitress convinced us to buy their membership so we were able to add on a Wagyu plate for free. Our entire meal set was brought to our table within 10 minutes of ordering. I was surprised when they said this was everything we ordered because it seemed like it would only feed 1 person. The portions are extremely small and the meal was subpar. I've definitely had better Wagyu experiences elsewhere. Overall, I don't think I would come back. If you're not a big eater than this place is for you. Wow !!! This was my first time here and the inside was so beautiful! No sticky and sliding floors like every other Korean bbq. The inside was so nice and elegant. The meat choices were so fresh and delicious. I could say this tops the best kbbq I've ever had. It's located in a hidden shopping area but wow this is it. Maybe needs a little extra advertisement outside because when you walk in it's like a whole other world. The customer service was wonderful. The sides were big in portions and fresh! We visited iWagyu in Monterey Park on a Saturday night with a 7:30 PM reservation for a group of seven. Even though the restaurant wasn't packed, they did require a majority of our party to be present before we could be seated. We ordered two Wagyu combo sets, two extra meat plates, bibimbap, corn cheese, and two soups, which turned out to be a perfect amount of food for our group. The meat quality was excellent, and while you cook it yourself, the service was exceptionally attentive. I passed by the menu one time and saw they had small bites in addition to their big expensive multi course meals. Given they had options for smaller portions, I decided to come here for date night with my wife. The restaurant is fairly small but the seats were generously sized. The restaurant had a romantic vibe to it for sure, good for date nights. The service was ok. My wife got the sous vide wagyu curry rice, and I got the wagyu bibimbap. The bibimbap was a bit salty but the beef was quite flavorful. The curry was really good, and I loved that the beef slowly cooked on the hot stone bowl. Both dishes were amazing. That makes sense given Monterey Park isn't a boujee premium location compared to Arcadia. LOL. This place is yakiniku style. We ordered a beef set, then added a few extra cuts to our order. The waiters/waitresses were super friendly. I cooked our meats even though it was my bday celebration because I am very respectful of quality meat. I don't like to turn them into jerky. LOL. I definitely will consider trying their cocktails next time. I had a pitcher of Sapporo all to myself and it was cold, tasty, and satisfying with the grilled meat and veggies. The ambiance is very nice, warm, inviting, and the restrooms are clean. Parking is plentiful since it's in the square. Overall, I will return to this place. I checked the reviews and showed 5 stars--was a little suspicious at first but after trying.. it made sense. My boyfriend and I ordered the Chef's Recommendation Set ($138) and honestly, it didn't impress me much. The set promises an Appetizer Platter, Fresh Vegetable Sticks, Thai Style Braised Beef Tongue, iwagyu Prime Short Rib, American Kobe Wagyu Toro, American Kobe Dragon-Cut Wagyu Rib Finger, Squid, 2 Fruit Smoothies, and Ishiyaki Negi Wagyu Bimbimbap. To start off, they said their fruit smoothie machine didn't work that day so instead, they gave us a can of soda to compensate. Fine; not a big deal but definitely lost out on money there. The "Appetizer Platter" that was served was a sauce pan sized dish of kimchi and cut radish... That's insane and so deceiving to me! I personally would not call that a platter at all. It's more like a side dish. I will admit that's on me for not asking for clarification on what is included in that appetizer platter. The "Veggie Sticks" was really just 8 pieces of lettuce. I wish I was joking! The Thai Style Braised Beef Tongue was just okay. It was my first time trying Beef Tongue cold and I wasn't the biggest fan. The American Kobe Wagyu Toro was amazing. It melts in your mouth and you can tell it's good quality. The iwagyu Prime Short Rib had a bit of a gamey taste so I wasn't the most fond of it. The Bimbimbap was just standard. Nothing crazy but not bad either. The squid was good as you can never really go wrong with that! They change the grill every 5 minutes which I don't mind as I always appreciate a fresh clean grill, but it can be off putting and disruptive for some customers. It did bug me that the server instructed us on how many seconds to grill each meat but would intervene every once in a while to cook it for us. I feel like it's less disruptive to either just let us cook it ourselves entirely or establish that they will cook it for us consistently throughout the meal. Overall, my boyfriend and I were surprisingly full from this meal. I had the Chef's Recommendation menu that is shared for 2 people. The portion was just right and all the beef was super tender. The squid was probably forgettable out of all the menu items. I also appreciate the "fruit smoothie" as part of the menu, but it was actually more like orange juice. I also ordered a side of the beef carpaccio which was really good with some cheese.
