so yummy and flavorful!!! the chicken isn't dry and packed with flavors. We got two noodles and a rice to share for two people. We probably over ordered but it was yummy. The side of soup is also so clean tasting, not the chunky type of soup. We loved the tom yum noodle, curry rice chicken, and guey tiew noodle. Service was also very friendly and there's outdoor seating as well. Would come back to try other dishes also!

Came by for a late lunch and seated right away. Unfortunately the AC wasn't too strong but it wasn't unbearable. The menu had a lot of options which was nice. The service was fast and attentive. The food was good, our favorite being the poached chicken and rice, the thai styled roasted chicken was okay. I liked both styles of dumplings.

Great value spot with huge portion and friendly service. Food came out very fast, staffs were all smile and prompt, and the chicken was soft and crispy. Our favorite is the chicken liver. Oil rice was well marinated. Would come back to try more dishes! The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating.

Got the grilled chicken with garlic rice. Comes with flavorful chicken soup. The chicken was flavorful with chili sauce on the side. Eight was fragrant garlic taste. I would skip the lychee Thai tea. Too sweet for me. Small sit down spot and friendly attentive service.

solid thai chicken rice place but was a bit less impressed than most other chicken rice spots ive been to in the city. chicken wasnt the most tender and had small pieces of cartilage / bone i didnt expect. the chicken broth was so good i wouldve paid for an extra portion. i stopped by late when it was pretty empty and they were very nice but service felt a bit slow.

The most delicious mango sticky rice. Every time I'm in Astoria I always have to make my way here. The chicken over rice is also one of the best. True thai flavors!

    Fried chicken, mackerel, larb moo

What a gem! This spot is sooooo goood. All the chicken dishes are bangin, but I tend to go with the fried chicken. I also love the mackerel which is depicted here. I've come here probably 10 times already and will come back again and again. Food is super authentic and they have delicious food that isn't just the chicken speciality like khao so and larb moo. Great staff as well!

The juiciest and most flavorful Khao mun gai located in Astoria. We tried the original and the roasted, the original will always be my favorite as I love the simplicity of the poached chicken, but the roasted offered a really nice umami bite and crunch from the skin. Honestly so good, crispy like a fried cutlet but still light, juicy, and savory. Highlight was def the ginger aromatic rice, SO flavorful. Dipping sauce was nice and gingery as well and only enhanced everything, while the broth was light and perfect to sip on with the meal. Love how strong the Thai iced tea and coffee was too. They have a smaller storefront with 4-5 tables inside, so that is good to note if you are coming with a large party. The owners/workers are extremely sweet and attentive as well. This is a must try if you're in the area and need a quick and healthy bite, I can't wait to return! Support this place :)

Ignored order notes and didnt recieve the salad. I ordered delivery. There was also leaking in the bag and did not receive utensils or napkins.Got the crispy chicken which was mushy but the soup had nice flavor and so did the rice.

Solid portion for the price. Chicken, rice, and a clear soup that really hits the spot. Tasty chicken rice with generous portions. Perfect if you're craving the classic flavor. Staff are friendly, food comes out fast. Small place, but great for a quick and satisfying meal.

Chicken Combo - Fried and Hainese

Thai spots in Queens have been popping up like crazy especially in past 5 years or so , but Chick It Out stands slightly apart because it focuses mainly on chicken in this cute hole in the wall. We were craving Hainanese style chicken and finding a place that makes it a central part of the menu made it seem like a pretty good bet. It paid off. After searching for some places that do Hainanese style chicken many were less accessible being in crowded areas with difficult parking I was happy with what I found here. We arrived knowing what we wanted which is good because you order and pay before you sit if you are eating in. If you are eating in be aware there are 4 tight little tables here so this place is perfect for a duo - seating and portion wise. This was indoor spot, but the temp was the same as the chilly weather outside the Saturday we dined here. We each received a soup and salad with our combo - I went to work on the fresh salad and saved the soup for when the chicken arrived. We got a couple of curry puffs which were flakey and tasty. I enjoyed the firm curry which was more paste than liquid. We went with a fried chicken and Hainanese chicken and both were really good. The dipping sauces that came with combo were really good along with large mound of rice. My Thai Iced coffee was the perfect accompaniment. The meal was well made, generous and reasonably priced. Couldn't ask for much more - go ahead, Chick It Out!

Inside, facing the ordering area. The place is kinda narrow so my seating area is pretty much closeby.

Took me awhile to find this place because it's not exactly on Broadway but on the corner so it's fairly easy to miss if you're not aware of the location. Other than that, this place is sublime. A tad on the small side but I dig the theme of the restaurant for it gives off an authentic Thai feel. The server was very courteous and kind which made ordering a pleasant experience. All of the dishes are very reminiscent of whenever I go to Hainan Jones for lunch because the menu is very similar to that. I ordered the Roasted chicken with rice, dumplings and Iced Tea. Their Iced Tea is an unusual but interesting beverage. It's your standard Iced Tea but mixed with milk, at first I was thrown off a bit like "Who mixes Iced Tea with milk?" But when I took a sip, it was surprisingly good, it was enjoyable. The main dish and the side were oh so tasty and filling, it definitely hit the spot. Some stuff on the menu were more pricier than others but worth it nonetheless. I totally recommend this hole in the wall spot with excellent cuisine.

***NEW*** Chick It Out - Thai-style Hainanese chicken and rice dishes. They have sweet, flavorful, and colorful drinks and teas, to go along with their delicious, one of a kind meals. We found parking right in front of the place. Next Time, we also have to save room for dessert. The service was impeccable. We didn't know what everything exactly was on the menu, but the waitresses explained it all. It's a quiet, room-style café, where there is indoor and outdoor seating.

I would def come back here and what's great is that you can feel healthy bc it's steamed/poached chicken, rice and veggies :) It's inside Urban Hawker, so you can get a variety of other things to go with your meal - might I recommend Kopi (malaysian coffee) at the nearby stand? The flavors were bold, authentic, and the chicken skin was silky smooth. The cucumbers had a nice crunch and the veggies as well. They give you two sauces, one of them is spicy and might be hotter than you expect so try it first.

Like a deconstructed and dry version of a filipino soup I love called Chicken Tinola, with similar ingredients too. The set came with soup - was mild and good. I added a bit of the ginger-scallion condiment and liked that too. I think it's the first time I tried Thai iced green tea - slightly sweet for me but lighter bec with half and half. Couldn't give this place a 5 stars though because of the heat. We went there when it was at least 90 degrees, and didn't know it wasn't air-conditioned. There was only 1 oscillating fan which was only ok when it was pointed at our direction. Once it turned, I had to keep fanning myself. The iced drink was refreshing but wasn't enough. We would have left if only we weren't set on trying their Hainan chicken. Will surely return, on a not so hot day. Service was great. Food came out quickly. It must've felt hotter for the staff being in the kitchen but they still had smiles. Nearest train station is Elmhurst Ave stop of M, R and some bus lines along Broadway, but not too far from Roosevelt Ave-Jackson Hts station. Has 4 small tables, and counter seating for 3. No restroom. Cash only.

We ordered the roti telur (egg & onion), Hainanese chicken, prawn mee, and Chinese watercress. Starting with the roti telur, this was easily one of my favorites! Chinese watercress is already one of my favorite veggies, so of course I had to order it. I loved how it was cooked with a savory meat sauce that added so much flavor without taking away from the veggie itself. The prawn mee was another dish I really enjoyed. The broth had a strong, rich shrimp flavor, so if you love that seafood taste, you'll probably enjoy this one! The Hainanese chicken was tender and paired really well with the sauces on the side.
