    Delicious wine

What a beautiful vineyard this turned out to be. It's no wonder it's so popular on Yelp. The views are picturesque and they had a really cool underground wine tour. Kind of reminds me of like a catacomb. We decided to do a tasting and to my surprise it was free! Unheard of. They stand by their wine and figure you will be happy to purchase additional glasses or bottles of those that you enjoyed. Service was super friendly and accommodating. This place is definitely a little unique compared to other wineries and you definitely need to check them out.

Wonderful experience! The staff was welcoming and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they offered us a complimentary wine tasting and a tour of the underground wine caves. The tour was fascinating, and everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Paso Robles. Highly recommended!

We got several suggestions to visit Eberle Winery while in the area. The tasting room was packed with guests all around the bar and possibly a few people outside too. It had been raining most of the day so we didn't look for or ask about any outside seating. They offer a wine cave tour but we probably got there too late to sign up for a tour. We didn't want to push our luck since we felt like we were just lucky enough to squeak in as the last tasting of the day. The couple tasting next to us were wine club members from the area so we chatted with them for a bit. They were very funny and informative too. We heard about some of the sushi spots they frequent in the area and along the coast too. They told us Eberle offered free wine tastings plus discounts for veterans too so it definitely secured the sale for us! We enjoyed our tasting and bought some wine to take home. The wine room staff were all very nice and didn't rush us even though we were the last tasting of the day. They were already sold out of their charcuterie plates so we did get some marcona almonds to snack on to help tide us over until we could get dinner afterward. We enjoyed our time at Eberle and look forward to a future visit when we return to the Paso Robles area. I hope everyone goes to check them out and spreads the word that they have some wonderful wines for everyone!

Leaving a review for Eberle as it was my first winery experience in Paso Robles. Huge shoutout to Jen our wine pourer of the afternoon. She made my group of four feel so welcomed and educated that even now after almost a week later of going there, it still leaves a lasting impact of how much we enjoyed the experience. The wine was overall good. Their rośe is award winning but my personal favorite from their tasting is their Cabernet Sauvignon. We loved it so much we even took two bottles home. It was a bummer as they canceled their "cave" tour three times while we were there which we were really looking forward to - Communication on how this tour works was a bit .. awkward and the front desk didn't really give us a solid answer and then when we brought it up with Jen during our last pour, she said she would try to work something out and last minute, they had Steph I believe was her name- give a tour which we were so happy about but it threw off our original scheduled plans. The cave tour is definitely fascinating as there are so many fun facts that I'll save for the experience. But will say these man made caves were great to experience and walk through even for a short while. Not sure if it would be good for people who are claustrophobic as it is enclosed down there but still a great tour to consider as it's free. Don't forget to tip your tour guides and wine pourers. *fun facts: if you're lucky you'll run into the owner himself sitting out front enjoying his glass of wine. Also the two poodle dogs on property are cute and wander around- they are super behaved.

Stopped in one of my favorite wineries in Paso Robles. Did some wine tasting and picked up a few favorite bottles. We were seated fast as we were just on time for our appointment. Our server did not introduce herself just poured away. The seating outside is great with an open view of the winery.

Love this spot! It is winery heaven and we stumbled on it by accident. I found this because I saw it had free wine tastings which I was in disbelief about but it was true! Free wine tastings and no pressure to purchase. Though purchase we did because it was lovely, including a surprisingly good rose (we are not big rose people). The space is nice with a great big covered patio overlooking the grape vines. It is not as spectacular a view as some wineries but solid nonetheless. The staff is so nice and friendly and just informative enough to give you a good sense of the wines without giving too much daunting information. We also got lucky to get a cave tour when they had space and we had mentioned interest in it but lack of availability. Also, the wine owner was a former biologist and went into wine making and now hangs out there with his dogs to greet guests.

Booked a tour of the wine caves online. The tour was short but fun. The wine tasting was complimentary which was a nice surprise. Got a couple of wine bottles for the road. This winery is very family friendly so you can bring your kids.

Me and the hubby booked a cave tour and came on Christmas Eve and boy was it pouring down rain!! But the staff was super friendly and made everyone as comfortable as they could under the covered area to shield us from the rain and had the heaters on as well. We did a couple of tastings before the cave tour and finished the rest after. Tiffany and Mike were very knowledgeable about the wines as well. Tiffany made the cave tour fun and let us take all the pics we wanted. I loved learning the history about the owner and the meaning of the small wild boar used in the logo! My fave wine was 2022 estate Cabernet Sauvignon and the hubbys was the Rosé. Our tasting was comped and that was a pleasant surprise!! We will definitely be back when the weather is nicer!

My husband enjoyed the Syrah while I had a glass of Chardonnay.

We always stop at Eberle on our way through Paso. Beautiful winery, a deck with views that can't be beat (if the shades are drawn don't be afraid to ask that they pull them up), friendly and knowledgeable staff, and delicious wine! This will remain our go to winery!

Free tasting and tour of the cave was definitely worth it. Our guide/server was passionate about sharing the history of Eberle and was great at serving us our tasting. We weren't even pressured to buy a bottle, but we did anyway! Such a beautiful property and wonderful views of the vineyard. Also, love that they're dog friendly inside and out.

Honestly, my experience at Eberle blew me away. I don't do a ton of wine tastings, but my friend and I both agreed this was one of the best tasting experiences we've ever had. I would highly recommend checking out this winery if you're in the Paso Robles area! Everything was perfect about our visit - from the informative cave tour to the amazing views on their deck overlooking the vineyards to our super nice and friendly sommelier. Plus the whole experience was free! It really doesn't get any better than this. I booked a complimentary tasting on their website a couple days before coming and there was plenty of availability. I changed the day of my reservation right before the trip and didn't have any issues with that either. I love how easy it was to book and modify the tasting. On the day of, we arrived at our booked time and they immediately got us seated and started with the first wine. The complimentary tasting includes 5 wines - currently it's one white and four reds. After our first pour, they brought everyone down to the fermentation area as well as the caves and introduced us to the history of the winery and talked a little bit about their wine making process. This was a quick tour, maybe 15-20 minutes, and we spent the rest of our tasting back up on the deck slowly sipping our wines and taking in the view. I personally prefer white wines over red, so the first wine, the 2023 estate viognier, was my favorite, but we bought a bottle of both the 2022 zinfandel and their sangria to take home. My favorite part of the whole experience was the view. Their patio is raised and overlooks the vineyards, and our table was right next to the railing, so this was one of the best views I've ever had during a wine tasting. For hot days, the patio has overhead cooling mist fans and regular fans. Also, they have an indoor area where you can do tastings. I saw people walking in and doing tastings in the inside area. Personally I would recommend the complimentary patio tasting for the views though.

We picked Eberle on a recommendation from friends who are wine club members--and it ended up being the stop we're still talking about. By the end, pretty much everyone in our group had found a wine they wanted to take home--including the ones who swore they weren't buying anything. Dennis, our Tasting Room Host, made the experience. He was warm, very knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging with everyone--from the serious wine lovers to our six-year-old--while keeping things professional and elevated. The whole visit struck that rare balance: polished without feeling formal, refined without ever feeling rushed or "in-and-out." Dennis has been with Eberle since 2017, and you can feel how much he cares about the place. He spoke about the winery with such genuine pride, and as you look around the tasting room at the rows of award ribbons from years of vintages, it hits you--this is a place with real history behind it. That sense of legacy and care is woven into the whole experience. The historic wine caves are a must, the complimentary tasting felt generous and unhurried, and the grounds have that unmistakable Paso magic--rolling hills, big oaks, golden light, and room to breathe. We even crossed paths with Gary Eberle (founder, 1979) and his sweet black poodle, Vieto--one of those authentic, only-in-wine-country moments that sums up the welcoming spirit here. If you go, ask for Dennis--he turned our first visit into one we'll plan future trips around. Good to know before you visit: * Make a reservation--it gets busy * Don't skip the cave tour (you can even taste down there) * Large lawn & games--great for kids and mixed groups * Very dog-friendly * Private, romantic tastings available in the caves * Complimentary tastings + military discount available * Plan to stay a while...and bring your camera :)

Visited Eberle while in town for my birthday weekend! I liked their decor and thought it's fun how they have a boar as their mascot. They had some great wines, and the Boar Red blend was one of my favorites. We originally came to do the cave tour, but the times listed on their website did not match up with the times once we arrived, so I recommend double checking by calling if you want to do one of their regular tour times! Eberle is one of the only places in Paso that actually does a free tasting, which is a great plus. The wines are delish and affordable - and hopefully next time I'm in town I can get to see the cave!

A cute little winery set up on the hill off of 46, out of sight. I stumbled across Mitchella while…read moredoing a search on Yelp, and am quite pleased I chose this to be my one stop before moving on to the next city. The tasting at Mitchella Vineyard and Winery is $20 for 6 wines, with mindfully curated cheese pairings. (A fantastic deal considering the seemingly skyrocketing cost of everything.) The tasting fee is also waived with the purchase of 2 bottles, which is the route I opted for after completing my experience. Upon arrival I was instantly greeted by Lizzie, as she patiently and quietly waited for me to exit my car. She wiggled her butt toward the entrance, encouraging me to follow. Sweet little start to the day, I'd say! (The winery pup in case you haven't figured that out.) ;-) Rachel quickly greeted me and got me seated next to a heater in their enclosed patio, and the paired adventure began. The Viognier was paired with Kokos, a coconut Gouda cheese. Very surprising on the palate, and the wine definitely emphasized the coconut, while the cheese brought out the pineapple of the wine. The Chardonnay had a crisp mouth feel but still just the slightest hint of that butteriness I tend to love in my chardonnays. The subtle saltiness of the benning goat Gouda smoothed out the crispness of the wine. The Cheap B*st*rd (since I'm not sure what Yelp decides doesn't work for them), was quite enjoyable as a stand alone. For me it had the nose of what I would consider to be darker fruits and a generally more jammy wine, but it was smooth on the palate. The white Stilton with cranberry that it was paired out helped bring forward some of the fruit flavor, but the cheese itself wasn't my favorite (hence the stand alone aspect). The Tempranillo would be my grab a glass and a book and plop down by the fireplace (or on my balcony wrapped in blankets) type of wine. It didn't feel heavy and was just a nice sippable red. On the nose, for me, was a very dark red kookaburra licorice. It had a smooth, light finish and paired quite well with the mimolette (which I will forever know as the cannonball cheese thanks to Rachel!) Presumptuous, a zin, had what I consider to be a jammy mouthfeel (as I still can't figure out how exactly wine connoisseurs identify that!) It was paired with a Boschetto truffle cheese and I feel it brought out a very mushroom forward (favorable) taste when put together. For me, it isn't always about what can the food do for the wine... I love to experience what the find can do for the food! Give me a nice side dish of garlic sautéed mushrooms with a glass of this zin, and pretty sure I'm one happy girl. The only potential downside to me for this winery is that their restroom is a portable. While considerably clean, it's definitely a tight squeeze if you're a bigger girl like myself. Deal breaker? Not a chance. I look forward to a future stop when the vines are green and views expansive!

This experience was more of a one on one as we were the group starting off at the counter. It was great. A fun little tasting room tucked away but quite nice.

We came here on a whim bc it's so close to our camping spot (Cava Robles). It doesn't look as…read moreimpressive outside as it does on the inside. The parking was a little tight. However, worth it!! Barbara was our hostess, she was very knowledgeable and helpful. She knows a lot about wine & the local spots in PR. We ordered 2 charcuterie boards for our table of 8. Also their candles are ahh-mazing!! The wine was great, our friends became members. We are really looking forward to returning. We loved the wine & the vibes!! Ty!
