They show no interest in accommodating the customer with transportation for service drop offs or answering questions on repairs but really focus on charging you for any diagnostic or peek at the vehicle. The feel of the service department seems nervous and scammy. They also want you to leave the vehicle there overnight for something that takes a fraction of the time elsewhere. Brianna Escotoli did a fantastic job guiding us through the on line sales process. We hired an independent mechanic to do a pre-purchase inspection. The mechanic found 2 issues; the cabin filters were dirty and the car was pulling right. When I communicated this back to Brianna, her service manager said that all the issues had been addressed and they disagreed with my mechanics assessment. Bought the vehicle, took it to my local mechanic and sure enough, the cabin filters had never been replaced, the car was pulling right and needed and alignment; and, in addition, the passenger rear view mirror motor wasn't working and the car had never had a differential service done. This makes me question all the inspections and comments from their service department. I guess we will have to wait and see if anything else happens. read more

They sent their sales rep in circles and don't have any care for the time of their customers, or their sales reps. Had a very poor experience here. The highlight is that my sales guy, Larry was great. The sales manager is unfortunately the one who messed it up. We ended up deciding we wanted them to do a dealer transfer on a $48k car. The first set of numbers came out totally wrong around $60k, wasn't even my deal. They fixed the numbers and they had the car listed at $52k with $5k of dealer addons (mind you they didn't even have the car), $3.5k in dealer fees, and then offered me $10k under what I owe on my trade in. It came out to $70k and I said no thanks, gave him my final numbers and prepared to walk out. The sales manager, Blake came out and handed me my keys before insulting my intelligence stating that I don't know the value of my truck. Typical dealer bullshit. Talk about the worst of the worst. If you enjoy being lied to, by all means, go buy a car from Zayn. He sold me on a warranty that doesn't actually cover anything, and every time you bring your car and it will be a fight with the manager at the service station to try to get literally anything covered. He told me we put every protection on the car possible. That for the life of the car for anything I needed I could just bring it in and they would handle it. I was supposed to be saving a lot of money on maintenance and oil changes by paying them upfront. But there is no maintenance covered by the warranty. You will pay out-of-pocket for everything. The car they sold me was a 2022 and when I took it to discount tire when I got a flat tire, they said, did you know your tires are from 2020. They sold me a car with tires older than the car. I didn't know anything about tires so I didn't even know to ask how old are the tires. Honda was at least repentant for selling me crappy tires and they replaced them for free. But the tires that they replaced for free were supposed to have a 70,000 mile warranty. I have driven less than 20,000 miles on them, and they are absolutely falling apart. Despite having done tire rotations at discount tire. So take this from someone who has had her car for nine months and had nothing but trouble with it. Even the Bluetooth has stopped working and I'm not willing to take it in under the warranty. I was supposed to have because I know they're going to say oh you did something to your Bluetooth. You are the reason it's not under warranty. But what the fuck am I doing to Bluetooth other than trying to listen to music? Trying to pair it to my devices? I know they'll find a reason why this is not their responsibility. And it's not worth the hassle of trying to bring it in for service because they won't give you a loaner car. You'll have to pay out-of-pocket for a rental car because they have a week long waitlist on all of their Loaner cars because they don't actually give a shit about making sure that they take care of their customers. The warranty is absolutely useless because they won't honor it. A random piece on the bottom of my car broke and they claim that this is not covered. There's all of these exclusions to the warranty that they do not tell you when you're buying the car. But when things break through no fault of your own, they won't fix them because they say it was your fault. Meanwhile, I've done nothing strange to my car. I've just used it like a normal car and expected it to not fall apart yet it falls apart more and more each month. Don't buy a car from Zayn. He will lie to your face with a smile. Don't buy a car here, you'll regret it every day as I have. And especially do not buy your oil changes here because then you have to come back every time you need an oil change and see the same horrible people who swindled you by lying to you about what the warranty actually covers. Summary: Avoid like the plague and Covid-19. Worst, most amateurish sales experience ever. Of note, I was part of the corp team at Toyota Certified in Torrance at one time, so I know all the sleazy sales/dealership trick so all of this was amusing up to a point. Read on. Background: Wife and I moved into the Denton area and wanted to keep the money in the community by buying a car locally. we kept an open mind and hit just about every dealership along I-35. The biggest mistake we made was visiting this dealership after we visited Hyundai, Ford, and Chevy. The visit: This is the SHORT version. We were greeted by a younger sales man who was professional enough up to a point. Since we were open to just about all of their SUVs, we had to look at them and get a feel for the size and if they would work for our work/personal life. We were really impressed by the Honda Passport and so despite our better judgement, we took a test drive. The sales person though could not stop talking. It got to a point where my wife and I privately conferred and decided to get some lunch. However this sales person was so persistent and insisted we meet his sales manager or else "he would get into trouble". WTH. We were starving and at one point I told him that I could eat a tire right now. Still he persisted and said it would only take a minute. Ok if that was the price to pay to get out of there and get lunch, then that minute would be fine. So we agreed to meet the sales manager and let's just say he was stone faced and annoyed. I told him that the sales person did his job well, we asked that he put together the best cash offer because we could pay off the vehicle based on the window sticker price minus a few thousand off for the needless, unwanted dealer add ons (which were described as port add-ons...despite the sticker clearly stating they were dealer add-ons), and that if the offer were acceptable we would come back and buy the vehicle. I estimated that the out the door price would be around mid $30K. But instantly this sales manager (name started with a C as I recall) got all pissy faced which pissed me off even more and so we left. On the drive to pick up lunch the wife and I talked about how unprofessional that manager guy, laughed it off, and then went home to ravage our lunch. When we got home, we got a text from the younger sales guy and this is the most hilarious part. Not only did this "best offer" NOT knock off anything (the quote had the window sticker price PLUS the needless dealer add ons) but they ADDED about $3,500 MORE to the quote! I mean seriously, what dealership in their right mind ADDS on to the window sticker??? So I text the sales guy back and point this out and he calls instead to say that the window sticker hadn't been updated, etc. Never mind that the IKON GPS package is an optional item that was never discussed. Never mind that Permaplate was described by the sales guy as the plastic trim on the bottom of the vehicle when in fact its a friggin' can of Scotchguard you can pick up and spray on your own vehicle for about $8. Etc, etc. etc. So the guy kept calling my wife and I had to intervene and let him know to stop calling us, which he did. +1 star. However, Honda kept sending emails for feedback. Wife said 3 attempts. She didn't bother to answer, but since I was part of the whole experience and I have a little time to update, here's your feedback Honda of Denton. If the General Manager is reading this, I think you should know that we as consumers are not as naive as consumers might have been in the past. Not only were we treated as such, but the rude attitude from the manager and the ridiculous quote which added $3-4K on top of the window sticker was the bad tasting icing on the cake. I think some retraining is in order. The younger sales man just needs to be coached by someone to can teach a more empathetic, solution-based approach to selling a car and not an over the top, high pressure approach. Epilogue (the next day in fact) After ignoring the sales guy's call the next morning, we drove down to I-35 dealership row and visited Toyota of Denton, which ironically shares the lot with this Honda dealership. After spending a few hours, we bought a beautiful $40K 2021 Highlander. She loves it. And notice the amount we spent. We actually spent MORE money at Toyota than the $35K limit we intended to spend on her car. So why did we spend more? Well first off, we were treated with respect (sans the Toyota Finance guy) by the Toyota sales guy and that's the ONLY person we dealt with. Sure he went to the bullpen to get the best offer for us on several occasions, but in the end he put together and acceptable offer for us. No attitude. No rude looks. No hard ball manager coming over to apply the pressure. No "getting into trouble if you don't meet my manager" nonsense, etc. So there you go, Honda of Denton. You lost a sale based on how you treat your potential customers. read more

I am on my second new car with Denton Honda. This second go around has been the worst!! I went for my oil change and the service guy (Brett) comes back with "you have two nails in your front passenger tire", quickly flashes me a picture of a tire with two nails in from his phone and urges me to buy a new tire ($258.00).I literally had 50.00 to my name because life is hard right now. I asked if they could patch it or sell me a used tire and the answer was NO. I had to go somewhere else for a used tire because I couldn't afford that right then. I asked if I'm safe to drive with it and his reaction was less than favorable which left me in a panic because I had no choice but to drive the car. So, I go to Brisco and ask them to look at the tire. Meanwhile, I'm now late for work and losing money by the hour because I punch a clock. Stressed is an understatement. If I tell you that there were no nails in any of my tires, would you believe it? Believe it! They took off all my tires and did the water test and checked them all.... NO NAILS! I call the guy and ask him to send me the picture....he said he deleted it when I declined services. Mind you, I just went in for my "free" oil change that is covered in my package. Denton Honda, you are wrong in all levels! I will never step foot in your dealership again! I since have learned this is a popular tire SCAM and the picture is just a random tire. Recently traded in my vehicle and purchased a vehicle through this dealership. My recommendation is try to find another Honda dealership if you're interested in getting a Honda. Wife communicated with the dealership prior to us coming and informed them that we wanted a vehicle that was certified pre-owned. They stated it wouldn't be a problem and we came in. Throughout the whole process I asked multiple times to multiple people if the vehicle was certified, to which I was informed that it was. A few days after purchase, we were notified that we had to drop it off because it wasn't certified and needed to go through the certification process. Has to spend almost 3 hours driving to and from the dealership to drop off the vehicle. They informed me that the vehicle never should have left the lot until that process happened, wasting a ton of my time and gas. They also charged a large amount when purchasing the vehicle for a "pro package" when asked what it was for, they said it covers the cost of replacing worn/damaged parts, detailing, etc. (which all was likely deducted from the person trading their vehicles in anyways so that doesn't make a ton of sense). Upon lifting up the back seat, we discovered it was absolutely filthy. The tires were also damn near bald. The sales manager really didn't have much to say other than sorry. My time has been wasted, my money has been wasted, and I've lost any faith or trust in this business. I hope that they don't rely on getting any new contacts from me or my wife because I'll be going out of my way to inform family/friends/coworkers to look elsewhere because I'm incredibly disappointed in this location. We were contacted by this dealer after listing our car on Autotrader. The individual, Kristina, texted multiple times asking if we wanted to sell our vehicle. I called her and explained we had an offer in hand and weren't interested in any low-ball offers. That we would only bring our car in if they were willing to exceed the offer we already had. Her immediate response was "we'll beat it". My wife drove the car over there and was immediately low-balled...they made a starting offer $5K less than the one we had. Dissatisfied to say the least. We stopped by today, the 19th of August, prepared to put a large amount of cash down for a CRV. Buyer beware, the MSRP is not the price. Instead, there are $1,700 in dealer adds which are non-negotiable. They claim it's as a result of customer surveys that they "offer" them, yet you can't say no to them. Keep in mind, the items have not yet been installed. Our salesman took the proposal to the sales tower for us to pay full MSRP, but again there was no budging on their part. Of course, we stood up to reflect our desire to end the negotiations. At that time our salesman said he would go back to the manager to see if they would allow for the sale to take place less the fees. Once again, the answer was no. It should be pointed out that our salesman even admitted the practice can be misleading. I told him it was actually a bit deceptive. Folks see one price online and on the sticker, but are then blindsided. The truly frustrating aspect was that of wasted time. We told the salesman that we liked the price (sticker) and only have a good deal of time had passed was there any mention of the ads. Dealers still make a profit when MSRP is paid. There isn't a need for them to FORCE you to spend even more. Stay away. read more

I do feel like we got a great deal although since that day it's been TERRIBLE customer service. I am 2 month later and my temp plates expire tomorrow. I've been contacting them over a week and nothing has been done. This is dredging up some other things that happened. My husband an I both have scores above 700 yet they pulled out credit 6 times (that's 6 pulls on EACH) which of course is frustrating. Take your time, energy & money elsewhere. From the moment we started looking to trade in our 2019 Pilot for a 2016 Odyssey we had nothing but issues. Imagine trading in your car & now you can't get a loan on the new one because of a problem with the car they won't finance it. With the back and forth from Honda of Denton and our loan company the loan approval eventually expired, I still could not get any sales manager or general manager to return my call when I told them I would be returning a van I could not get a loan on, it took TWO weeks to get any kind of answer. Two weeks too late. And not once did anyone try to suggest another car to help us into, it was left up to my husband and I to figure it out. Honda didn't care if we ended up buying from them or not, the apology I got from Colton was blaming the loan company and took ZERO responsibility for their take in this. I've never felt so unsettled buying a car from a dealership, especially a Honda. So I returned the van on 2/9/23 and I called the next morning asking for a GM to call me and at the time of this review I still haven't received a call back on 2/14/2023. My experience at Honda of Denton could have been better. I found a 2023 Honda Civic online and called to confirm it had not been sold yet. When I went in and asked about, I was told there was a mistake and the online price was "accidentally" listed cheaper than it actually was. When I asked them to honor the price they advertised online, I was told "We will just fix it in the morning". I am not sure if Honoda of Denton just posts fake numbers on their website just to get people in the door but if you see something that looks like a mistake, they won't honor it. They introduced me to a different car they had on the lot (that was 'correctly' priced). When I said I was interested and we agreed on the price, THEY CHANGED THE PRICE ON THE PAPERWORK! They increased the price of the car from what we agreed on and when I asked them why it was different they said "Well, we were just giving you an estimate." I asked to change it back to the number we previously agreed on and they wouldn't. I expressed all my concerns during the process to the Honda manager and was told I would get a phone call the next day. No one called the next day.
