Do not bring your vehicle here for service!…read more Brought it in for a CEL that was covered under warranty. I dropped it off on Friday 1/2. They didn't even begin to diagnose the vehicle until 1/6 (it turned out to be a problem with the coolant system). During those several days I tried to check in with the service advisors to see any progress as I hadn't heard a thing. No matter how many times I called no one would answer the phone. I ended up having to drive to the dealership multiple times to get any updates. After a series of poor communication through the week, the vehicle was finally ready to be picked up Saturday 1/10. Well not even 3 hours after getting it back, the check engine light came back on. The dealer was closed by then until Monday so I did some work of my own to diagnose the problem. The "technicians" didn't bleed the coolant lines of air after they filled it back up. So my jeep was running very low on coolant. I brought the jeep back to them on Monday 1/12 first thing in the morning. They confirmed there was air in the lines, they bleed the lines of air and filled it back up and returned it to me. Well later that very same day, I turn off the jeep and it just completely dies. No lights on dash or anything. The battery was toast, so I called them back. They said the technicians didn't touch the battery and there was no way I can prove they caused the battery to die. I was on my own with replacing it. Sure it could've been coincidence that the battery died on its own, but based on past incompetence it doesn't look good on them. Overall horrible service, bad to nonexistent communication, and incompetence in the techs that caused multiple issues where I had to bring my jeep back to them to fix

After checking in the the service department I told the service adviser that I would wait for the service to be performed. After patiently waiting for three hours I located the service adviser and inquired why it was taking three hours to have the tires rotated. He checked on the status of my request, returned and advised me that they had not notified him that it was completed. A few minutes later he advised me it was parked in the service lane with engine running and ready to go. I was so eager to leave that dealership that I did not check my tire pressure indicator until I stopped at the gas station. When I checked ,I found that the tire pressures were exactly in the same position as when I left it for the rotation ,which indicated that tires had not been rotated as the 32psi tire pressure had not been inflated and nothing had been changed! Three hours wasted at this dealership. I'll never go back to Denton Toyota again!

While I didn't purchase it from them, I did service it there for the entire time I owned it. Generally, I had positive experiences. Unfortunately, our experience at AutoNation Denton on July 3, 2026, was very different. We visited to test drive a 2018 Subaru Forester with 101k miles for my niece, who is a first-time driver and college student. From our initial online inquiry, we were transparent about budget and made it clear we were not interested in add-on packages or upselling. The car was listed online at $16,722. Jacob, assisted with the test drive, was outstanding. He was patient, professional, and made my nervous new driver feel comfortable. Josiah (turns out the rep who had texted in the AM) was also courteous and respectful throughout the process. The initial quote, exceeding $20k, included several add-on packages we had already said we didn't want. Even after those packages were removed, the numbers still weren't competitive given the vehicle's year/trim/condition, including a broken lift gate. Nevertheless, no harm...no foul. We understand it's a process. We thanked Josiah and proceeded to leave. Josiah asked for a number to take to his manager to reconsider. Bryan, Sales Manager soon entered and proceeded to ruin a 10-year reputation. Bryan had emailed me a promo packet on the Forester earlier in the morning. At which time, I let him know our case. So we should have all been on the same page. He proceeded to give an updated quote of around $18k, with a barked "cash or finance." We indicated neither. We said we would keep the quote in consideration in case something changes. As I went to take a picture of the quote, Bryan SNATCHED it from my hand stating it was confidential to his office. What in the actual?!? My husband and I have purchased multiple cars, and never have we had a sales team SNATCH ANYTHING FROM OUR HANDS! Let alone a quote to represent a good faith offer. That behavior simply REINFORCED that we had indeed made the correct decision. It was unprofessional and unnecessarily confrontational. We thanked everyone for their time and left. We ended up finding 2 comparable vehicles in better condition at more reasonable prices across the street. That dealership wasn't originally in our plan to visit. It's unfortunate because Jacob and Josiah represented the dealership well, but the management interaction overshadowed an otherwise positive experience. We won't be returning to AutoNation Denton. In the DFW, we have MANY choices in the businesses we support. No need to accept disrespect under any circumstance. Proceed with caution if you must and Good Luck!
