This place is questionable as far as quality. I got excellent gel extensions. But my daughters received gel manicures and one of the staff members must have missed a vital step in gel manicures, because it's been 2 days since getting our nails done and almost ALL of her nail polish has come off. And she did not pick at it. My other daughters nails are fine. And when the manager noticed something was off the first time and tried to correct it...I figured she did. But alas, we are on our vacation and her nails look ratchet. Especially since her nails alone costed me $60 smh. Again, my gel extensions are beautiful...but my daughters nail well they are as if we never went to the salon to begin with. Disappointed. read more

However, the technician is not that gentle with my nails and I felt super pain during the process( not to mention I already told them it is hurting). The result was nice so I thought I will just let the "pain" go. I was pleased with my results for 2 weeks until most of my nail cracked. I felt super pain and I've never experienced that in my entire life. I felt my fingers hurting everyday and they are still not getting better now( I post pictures) I guess there must be something wrong with the product or technics they use. NOPE. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I came in for gel extensions and was very disappointed. The owner doing my nails cut me three time with the electric nail file, I originally overlooked this because I did like the end results. She told me that gel extensions were much better since they lasted much longer than acrylics. BUT less than a week later 3 of my nails came clean off just from scratching my head. If I wanted my nails to last a week I would've just gone to target for stick ons. I called and made a new appointment since I wanted the same color since the rest of my nails weren't even grown out yet. I made the appointment for 6pm and when I came in the owner who did my nails the first time said to come back at 7:30pm so I left and didn't come back. The sweet owner said yes and when I explained that we needed help she took the time to explain exactly how to get there all the while staying on the phone with me. The technician who did my nail was Chris and she gave me the very right design for this coming season. I wanted warm and cozy color that fits for fall. I got out of work late and needed to get a pedicure on the fly. My trusty Yelp 'Open Now' filter guided me to Eclair Nail. They had the seat ready and warm water ready for me since I called. It was honestly the best pedicure I ever had. Choe was super experienced. She told me she knows how to handle almost any nail issue such as split nails and ingrown nails. They responded quickly through Yelp and got us appointments for 8pm which was perfect for us. It's an adorable small salon on the 4th floor. Very clean and neat with a good selection of OPI and Essie polishes. We had Gina and Rebecca and they were so nice and friendly. Our mani/pedis were enjoyable and good. I was here in March, which was a pretty bad decision. I was able to make an appointment on the phone at the last minute before a spring break trip to LA. The biggest problem was that the owner buffed and scratched my old gel manicure very roughly and asked my to put my fingers INTO a cup of acetone... what the heck?? The lady who colored my nails was nice, even though she completely forgot to cut my nails on my left hand. I didn't notice until I was out of there. I didn't even bother to go back because of the horrible experience. My nails cracked a day after, so I had to redo my nails in LA. I also felt bad for the nail colorists in the salon because the owner seemed to take in lots of last-minute customers on a walk-in basis--I got it, you had to maintain a business, but you shouldn't have your employees juggling around 5 customers at the same time. It wouldn't be pleasant for both your employees and customers. I still have to get gel extensions for the mess they made--Needless to say, I won't be back even if I need to do my nail at the last minute. read more

I needed to get my nails done last minute for a trip and was looking for a nail salon that's open late. I was excited when Eclair Nails had a same day appointment at 7:45pm for gel mani and regular pedi. I got there for my appointment and there were only two woman there (already working on clients). Instead of telling me directly that they made a mistake and did not have my reservation, I was asked repeatedly when I made the reservation. Even though, I told them it was same day, they gave me a blank stare and kept asking for what time I called. Does that change the fact that they didn't have my appointment?? I told her the approximate time and nothing. I had to ask if they didn't have my reservation written down. She said no and that they can't take me. I'm frustrated that I rushed from work to make the appointment and instead ended up wasting my time. Even more annoying was that most nail salons in that area were about to close. I can't judge on their workmanship, but if they can't even manage appointments properly, I'm not about to risk wasting my time again. They might be better at earlier times, depending on how many people they have on staff....,but equally that's why I made sure to make an appointment...to ensure that someone will definitely be able to do my nails at that time. DO NOT GO THERE. If I could leave zero star review I would. The owner or manager was extremely unprofessional and rude. I called ahead to see if I can get mani and pedi done, they told me over the phone that they have opening. I showed up and half way through my mani 2 more customers that has reservations showed up and the manager started to rush the lady who was working on me. She kept on coming over, talking loudly to the lady while she is working and clearly rushing her. Obviously the girl couldn't do a good job so I told her if you want me to come back in an hour I can. So I left with work half done, paid the full service so I can finish my manicure at a later time. Went back in an hour and started to get my gel manicure done again. Soon someone came in again and the manager/owner did the same thing. Talking loudly over me rushing the work. I was not happy with the job even tho I paid for the full service. The lady left the topcoat part for the manager to do while she tended the other customer. The manager was rough working on me and talking on her cellphone at the same time. I was very unhappy with the whole service, there was no apology for over booking. the manager was very rude and said I have to tip. Tips is for appreciation of good even normal services. UNPROFESSIONAL! I made an appointment online because my usual salon was all booked for the night. This was the easy part. This salon is very difficult to find from the street. They go by a different name on their street sign and building numbers are hard to spot. I finally got to the salon at 6:30 and was quickly seated for my pedicure and removal of my gel mani. My nail tech was very nice, helped me pick a color and chatted with me throughout my appointment. As for my surroundings, the salon was a little cramped and men were receiving haircuts. It took almost an hour for them to remove my old gel mani. They did not use any of the power tools other salons use, only an old nail file that clearly was not strong enough to buff through the polish. She reapplied the acetone soaked cotton ball 3 times before she could get all the gel of. Then, she used about 4 coats of my new color to get it to the right opacity, which I commend her for, but also knew instantly that this manicure would not last. Finally, I went up to pay. I gave my nail tech cash and was able to Venmo for the rest, which was a nice feature. She said something to an older woman in Korean who proceeded to ask me for more tip. She said, "are you new to NYC? You tip more here". I thought I had tipped plenty for the job done. It was extremely unprofessional. To top it off, my nails chipped within a few days of the manicure, so I'm happy I didn't end up tipping more. I don't have to worry about the quality of the polish at my regular salon. Not a huge fan of this place. I came here for a regular pedicure and gel manicure. They file my toenail square without even asking me which shape I wanted. Also, the square shape was uneven across different nails. For the gel manicure, the technician was a bit pushy in trying to get me to allow her to cut my cuticles. She claimed that if she didn't cut my cuticles, the gel would lift. I've had gel manicures before without my cuticles cut and that's never been a problem. However, true to her word, the gel polish did begin to lift within a few days, but I feel like that was more due to how the polish was applied rather than the fact that my cuticles were not cut. I went a week ago to this nail salon as I was looking for a professional nail salon and a location open late as I was traveling to Las Vegas for my birthday. Only two ladies were working and it took them over two hours to do just a pedicure. An older lady kept messing up another girls nails so my lady had to go help. In return the older lady did my feet and had absolutely no idea what she was doing. So then the other lady had to come finish. Then I was told they didn't have acrylic for my nails, they only had dip powder which was supposed to last 3-4 weeks. Okay fine. I was so excited with my designs and ended up paying almost $200. On Saturday, only THREE days later they all started popping off one by one. My birthday nails were completely ruined and I just wasted so much money on bad service and cheap products. No big deal... except I ended up waiting for an hour and a half. Because of this I was offered two fingers of free design, very nice of the owner. However, the nail technician seemed not to want to do the ombré design I originally wanted as she kept suggesting other designs and stickers. This was VERY disappointing as I told the owner when making my appointment that I wanted ombré design. But at that point the technician had already put my extensions on and shaved them down so I picked something else rather than insisting and ending up with a rushed job. The whole time I overheard the owner was taking more and more appointments over the phone. I think the owner needs to work on better time management between appointments. Got my nails done here. The lady was nice. I put the review by mistakenly for JN salon instead of eclair. Hey they are next to each other. So I didn't know there was another. The owner texted me the pictures are from eclair. It's a honest mistake. So removed the review and here in writing another one. My pedicure still great but honestly my manicure came within 3days, in the beginning it was great and I loved it but 3days it jus chipped and came off. The owner said they would fix it but I haven't got the chance but I would definitely go maybe get different style cuz I saw the styles and they are amazing but way too expensive $$$$ read more
