I own 2 busy Mexican restaurants/taco shops in San Diego/Old Town, and I've been through a couple different grease trap cleaning companies in the past 4 years. I caught one charging me when they didn't actually show up. The other I found out was coming more often than they needed to, and basically charging me double as a result. After speaking with the ECO grease pumping owner he advised me on cutting back on service on both my restaurants to twice a month, and gave me a price which was better than the previous companies I used. I am a restaurant owner downtown and it really takes a lot for me to take time out of my busy schedule to take the time to write a review, ESPECIALLY about a grease interceptor pumping company. First off, I want to say that I was using 2 other companies that had a slightly better rate but wait until I finish my story.... and you'll see that you get what you pay for. Learned my lesson the hard way. I was using another company for a while but learned that they had been sued and had their license revoked for illegal dumping! So, I had to look for another company. I reached out to Affordable grease....What a DISASTER. They quoted me $250.00 and we set a time for them to come. Not only did he come 4 1/2 hours after the confirmed time of 9am at 1:30, he took over 4 hours to "complete the job". Now my grease interceptor, like most grease interceptors downtown, is located in the basement. Not too hard to get to but it's in the basement of a residential building. After he claimed he was done for today, he said he called the office and they said they would have to finish tomorrow and they would charge me another $250.00! I thought this sounded fishy so I went downstairs to the basement only to find he spilled the rancid grease all over the basement and he was just spraying it with a hose. Knowing this was a hazard, I called their office and made them clean it up properly. I wrote them their check and with no choice, scheduled them to come back tomorrow for another $250.00...... They never showed... after repeated calls and them not answering, I told her if she does not come back to finish the job, I would cancel the check. She simply replied "We are not coming back"!!! WOW!!! Crooks!! After this, I reluctantly called Eco grease being apprehensive from this experience. I LOVE TO SAY, I WAS WRONG! Simon, the owner came himself with his employee and did the job. BUT the kicker is, he took pictures of what they did, which was to incorrectly open the interceptor AND THEY NEVER EVEN PUMPED IT OUT. He took pictures and sent them to me and explained how everything worked. He was patient, responsible, HONEST, and operated with Fortitude. It's a shame I had a NIGHTMARE experience with AFFORDABLE GREASE but otherwise I would have not met Simon and ECO GREASE. Thank you for changing my thoughts on your industry and for your honesty and grace. I cannot day enough about these professionals. Do yourself a favor, don't make the same mistake as I did by getting swindled by another company, and work with good honest people like Simon and ECO GREASE PUMPING! read more

Eco Grease Pumping Service came to my rescue after an overflow problem at my espresso bar. It happened on a Friday and after calling a few companies with no response, I found Eco Grease on Yelp with great review. The owner, Simon called me back immediately and told me while he had his Friday jobs lined up he would do what it took to squeeze me in so we could be up and running by Monday. The owner kept in contact with me through out the day, updating me on his schedule and ended up coming out on Saturday to get me fixed up, not only did they pump out my grease, but found the problem that was causing my floor sinks to back up and overflow in the first place, which had nothing to do with too much grease.
