Well, it might be near to Niagara Falls (a 10-minute drive) but that raunchy smell of the room, was something, not tolerable. Also, the chairs were sticky and dirty, you don't wanna sit on them. One can see with its naked eyes, why they are still keeping it? Check-in was smooth, got the room on the 2nd floor, but the moment you entered the room, the smell hit you like anything and you will be like, shall I ask to change the room? 20-year-old dirty carpets, you can vacuum it, but what to do with old stains? it will be there always. go for deep cleaning folks... It was an okay stay, got some breakfast (Same typical stuff, fructose syrup called Juice, bananas, pancake, etc..) A small heated swimming pool is there too but we did not use it. read more

My wife and I booked a suite at this Econolodge. Photos of the suite pictured on the website and pictures of the room we got are attached. The website showed a a nice room with a pillared jacuzzi. What we got was a jacuzzi room nowhere what was pictured on the site. There was a small dresser/tv stand. There was no other dresser, no closet, and no hooks in the room to hang clothes. The WIFi would only work sitting on 1end of the room. On the positive side the room was clean. We would not recommend booking a jacuzzi suite. read more

Better than I thought the rooms was going to be. They just need minor touch up on their doors and locks but the rooms are clean and comfortable. They have bus/trolly stop in front of the hotel and they actually give you passes so its free to go to Niagara Falls so you don't have to worry about getting lost or paying for parking. read more

Honestly didn't know what to expect from this hotel just by paying the price I did for one night. But our one night stay was amazing from checking in to checking out. Staff was friendly and professional. Room was clean and big. The price included free wifi and a light breakfast in the morning which was nice and fresh. In another future trip to Niagara Falls, would come back and stay here. And plus 9 minute drive from Niagara Fall state park, can't complain. read more

This place is great for the price! I was a little worried after reading reviews of places in the area where people said they found bed bugs or had their belongings stolen but this was not the experience we had at all. The room was clean, comfortable and really conveniently located to the Falls. Every employee we interacted with was helpful and kind, free wifi was a blessing after hours in the car and even though we brought a sleeping bag to put on top of the bed, we certainly didn't need it. Obviously this is not a 5 star hotel. It's a motel. But it's a darn good motel. Everything was a little run down (slight tears in the shower curtain, small cracks in the sink) and breakfast was very plain but if I ever come back to Niagara Falls, I'd definitely stay here again. My biggest concerns were the towels and sheets but I was pleased to find they were all perfectly white and the room was well maintained. We didn't take advantage of the free trolley to the Falls (we had our own car) but it's really cool that they have it and we saw it leaving full of people so it definitely exists! read more

Before we arrived on 6./20/17, I did contact Econo for the reservation, room, others etc...It happened, I had a chance to talk to Ms. Janelle, she's an excellent customer service, she gave me all the information when asked. I did talk to her a couples time again after my itinerary sets. There's a Pros & Cons: Pros = 1/ Ms. Janelle is a professional customer service, friendly, knowledge & courtesy. 2/ The room is cleaned, bath towels, bed sheets changed every day during our stay 6/20 - 6/24/17. 3/ Free Shuttle Bus to take you to NF State Park & Seneca Casino. (They will give you a list when you check in - time pick up & drop off. Cons= 1/ Serious disappointed by not having a coffee maker in the room, (I only need 01 cup in the morning when I'm up). Even they have coffee service in the front desk 24hrs.but don't you think, it's very inconvenient, when you wake up in the middle of the night, you feel the cold & want a cup of coffee, then you have to change to go to the front desk ..I was lucky I got the room on the ground not to far from the office, what's about people on 2nd floor or the opposite side of the building..INCONVENIENT... This issue needs to be upgrade, otherwise you can't compete with La Quinta Inn next door. 2/ The bathroom is quite small, I can leave with it for a few days. This is really pissed me off, , there's no clothing hooks for hanging your clothes when bathing or changing. I hope the messages will get to the Management for those 2 are essentials for everyday life, it won't cost you more than $50.00 at retails price. Be back, I'm not sure, it's a long fly ..I've seen & experienced enough NF, Toronto etc... The only good memories for me is Ms. Janelle, she's perfectly do her job at the front desk. I was here for one night with my family on a road trip from Chicago. I booked 3 rooms in the hotel. Let's get down to logistics of the hotel. Location and surrounding: Close to the highway, not too far from the outlet mall and close to lot of shops like Kmart, this was good. Parking: there is plenty of parking for the resident of the hotel. Wifi: was very good and didn't have any issues with it. Breakfast: was good. Lot of variety in bread, we had coffee/tea, yogurt, waffle maker, juices etc. The problem was the eating area was very small and it could not sustain the people coming in. Reception: the staff was very friendly to deal with. So there was no problem there Rooms: The hotel is kind of a motel; all the rooms are open and are not in one building. The rooms were huge and clean. The beds were great to sleep on. The sink area is outside the washroom and the washroom is of an ok size. The problem with open rooms was that there were a lot of mosquitoes in August and whenever we opened the door why would come in so we had to rush the door close. For people with kids: There are some swings, slides and a pool in the middle of the complex, so kids would enjoy in summer. All in all....the price we paid and being asked because of the place being close to the outlet mall is too high for this kind of a hotel! read more

Let's be honest. There are some areas on the US side of Niagara Falls that are a bit sketchy. Thankfully, this EconoLodge is not in one of those areas! From the moment I checked in, I could tell the place was a family-run operation, and the entire hotel staff was nice, accommodating, and good humored. I respected that they were all working so hard to keep this place a great hotel. Also, there were some wonderful little touches -- i.e. coffee and light snacks available in the lobby all day (as well as a TV with the current world cup game!). The room was pristine. The linens were clean, the beds were big, and the bathroom was impressively large. My one small complaint was the the mini-fridge (provided within the room) seemed like it needed a basic cleaning. But other than that, the room was perfect. Also, I appreciated the fact that the EconoLodge was a pickup point for some of the guided Niagara tours, but let me say that we were SO GLAD that we ended up exploring it on our own. The tours (which aren't affiliated with the hotel) would have been expensive though somewhat enjoyable, but having the freedom to see what you want, when you want, was infinitely more preferable. Finally, checkout the next morning was painless, and the breakfast was rock-solid, including some delicious blueberry mini-muffins and fruit. If I'm ever back in Niagara, I would return here in a second! read more

This hotel/motel was a great change to what we have been used to being up north! My wife and I came up north on business and choose to visit Niagara Falls on a weekend. The econolodge was a great experience for us. The staff was very friendly as we were to them. Our king suite with jacuzzi tub was worn in some places but over all the room was clean and HUGE! I had fairly low expectations for Econo Lodge - definitely didn't expect it to be a Marriott. However, the room was even more cold and uncomfortable than I had anticipated. Fine, I can live with that for a couple nights. The staff were extremely unprofessional and unfriendly. I went to breakfast both mornings and had to listen to them complain loudly to each other about taking extra shifts, how much they hated working there (particularly cleaning rooms and doing laundry), their co-workers, and their personal problems. Not really professional if you ask me, especially since I was obviously sitting right there within earshot. This was pretty much my experience every time I went into that main front desk room - I felt like I was interrupting and eavesdropping in their conversations. My last night there was nearly unbearable. Clearly some guests (and possibly Econo Lodge workers?) were having a loud party in the parking lot that all of our rooms faced. They were blasting music from their cars, drinking, and making tons of noise the entire night. I woke up at 4am and they were still going at it. Didn't anyone working there think to ask them to quiet down for the sake of other guests? I hesitated to call the front desk because part of me was pretty sure Econo Lodge employees were participating, and I definitely questioned the security of my tiny little room and didn't want to stir up any trouble by confronting them myself. If you are coming to Niagara Falls, stay on the Canadian side. It's safer and newer and you will be much happier over there. read more

Stayed here on a weekend trip to Niagara Falls recently. I'm usually skeptical about every hotel I go to because reviews very but this was a nice place. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Nothing too fancy but you get your money's worth. We had a room with the jacuzzi in it, that was nice and big enough for 2 people. Only suggestions I have would be to put blinds as well as curtains in the room, it gets bright. Also the water does take a while to heat up so watch out cause it gets HOT. Also the shower head was weak but other than that it's great. Enjoyed my time here! read more

When I booked our stay for me and my family, I was looking for something that would be clean, close to the falls and at a reasonable price. Well I wasn't disappointed, the rooms were clean, the hotel was about 4 miles from the falls and the price was perfect. They have free wifi, which my entire family used without any issues, they have a heated pool which was a big hit with my kids and a small playground to play on. They have free breakfast, which included bagels, cereal, fruit and belgian waffles...overall a pretty good "free" breakfast. There was plenty of parking and they offer free trolley rides to and from the falls. Overall, I would stay again and recommend to anyone. read more

I will never stay at another Econo Lodge again. I liked the price but you get what you pay for! It was cheaper then most places.... that could be because they had fleas in the bed, the a/c didn't work, the free high speed internet they advertise didn't work at all, the rooms were dirty and the staff was very unfriendly. I'm going to pay a little more for hotels because cheap isn't always better. I didn't even stay there, I found a room at some other hotel. I tried to get my money back and they refused. I'm going to be writing a letter to their headquarters about this. Do not stay at Econo lodges, it's not worth the cheap price, trust me! read more

Reservations were made for 3 nights with check in at 3pm. Arrived at 2:30 and was graciously checked in. The room was as expected and cool enough for the very hot weather. The best part however was the staff. After having been told the tour we wanted to do would be $300, talking to the manager, we were able to do it for significantly less. I couldn't thank her enough. All staff were helpful and kind. My only criticism has nothing to do with the lodge. While signs are clearly posted for rules for the pool, some parents believe they don't apply to their children. Lastly, we left very early and packed quickly. I mistakenly left a retainer behind. After one call the mailed it to me! We would stay again. read more

Check in was a little slow with three employees behind desk and only one customer to help but they were very pleasant and helpful. There are shuttles to the falls all day which is nice. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. No coffee maker was a minus but they have free coffee in office and breakfast. The location is perfect- close to falls and to wal mart or target plus good pizza, etc. The one BIG minus is the constant stink from the treatment plant across the street. The outdoor pool is good for kids and grounds are kept up well. We definitely will stay here again. read more

Rooms are surprisingly decent looking but got woken up at 8:30 by constant knocking... Had no idea who it was. Then breakfast consistent of mostly carbs and no protein options. Employees looked like they were wearing old nursing outfits. Sink only produced barely warm water. Shower couldn't maintain any particular temp. Literally the worst place ever. NEVER STAY HERE SAVE YOUR MONEY! arrived and the room was old and outdated but that was ok. Flushed the toilet and it wouldn't flush, let it drain itself and tried again and it started flooding the room. We asked for another room, they told us they had none, so we went to check out. The manager refused to give us our money back, and said "no ones going anywhere". She wanted us to stay in a room with carpet soaked with toilet water at 250 a night, that we had only been checked into for not even an hour! We refused to stay and she threatened to call the cops because we wanted our money as we weren't staying in that room. read more

.......I'm never staying here again. There is a reason for me to say this and giving this place a one star rating so here it is. One, the room that my family stayed had a very bad smell. So we leave for the morning and you would think that housekeeping would clean up and make it better? Um, no. When we got back that afternoon, smell was still there so we put on the AC unit so the cold air can circulate around the room and it will get better. Family goes out and then when we got back later on that night, The smell got worse. So, I went to the front desk to ask for two items, water and spray to kill the odor. The night clerk was on her cell phone and wasn't really keen on helping me out. When I asked her for the spray, she seemed nonchalant in her answer and said no and said do you want some disinfectant. Then I asked for the water, she had an attitude look on her face and pointed. I walked out. I came back in five minutes later and and told her the following "I've been in customer service for twenty years, and your behavior was unacceptable. I asked if she had spray and water, and had a attitude, you would think you would give an option. The idea the room smelled and it could be mold in the vent because it rained. It can make me sick, my mom sick or my cousin sick. I don't like messing with money on the table for someone but I am going to let your manager know about this". Then she started talking. I interrupted her and said no, nothing else you can do and I said I will report this to a manager. I drove to target and bought febreeze and sprayed the room down. One star equal I'm not staying here again. I'll sacrifice money and stay at the Marriott. read more

Well, the reviews were good, so we booked a last minute stay at this Econolodge. The lobby is nice and the receptionist was extremely nice when we got there at 2 AM. Upon entering the room, we were overwhelmed by the smell of air freshener. We were tired, so we hit the hay. When we woke up, we could hardly breathe and our throats were extremely tight. We're both non-smokers and we realized the room smelled like an ash tray. We also checked out the AC unit's filter and it was filthy. It was the worst night of sleep I've ever gotten. We had stuff to do that day, so we packed our stuff and got ready to go. As I got out of the shower, I wiped my face with a provided towel and it smelled so badly of cigarettes, I almost gagged. I marched down to the desk to check out and received an apology. I was also told that we were in a non-smoking room (even though the door wasn't marked accordingly) and they offered me a paltry 20% off discount. They told me they couldn't do more than that because I actually used the room. Don't waste your money. This place is gross. read more

A nice place to stay with warm front desk service and great atmosphere, nice for families, don't worry even if you don't get a hotel close to falls, as none of the hotels would provide you falls view , only saving would be time for a few mins but it just takes 15 mins by a free bus service so go for it and have a good time here. read more

Bathroom is small but you don't spend that much time in the room anyway when on vacation. The staff was friendly. You can make your own waffles for breakfast which were a major hit with my family.
