I was impressed with our salesman Christian in the beginning. Once the job started they subcontracted the insulation removal from my attic with a different company. They never told me this was the case. I thought I was hiring ecosheild to do my work! Well unfortunately the company they hired "Critter Removers" seem to have honesty problems. On the last day they were here one of the two workers here stole my wife's wedding ring and her heirloom grandmas wedding ring that were in her closet on a shelf right where they accessed our attic. I guess we should have kept the closet door closed but at the same time it never crossed our mind that someone would actually steal while working in a home. We have a police investigation going on. One of the frustrating things is the owner of Critter removers have never contacted us. It's extremely disappointing that this had happened and that ecosheild brought an unethical company into our home and we had no idea they weren't the same company. I would not recommend ecosheild to do any insulation work for you. Since they don't have control over the quality of work when it is subbed out to a different contractor. Although our experience with ecosheild has been good and their employees that came and installed the new insulation seemed great it has become overshadowed by this awful crime committed by an unethical and dishonest company. read more

Had one of their 'scouts' show up out of the blue pitching their service. Have to admit a nice guy.. Their tech shows up about half an hour later and again a nice guy, and proceeds to go through the motions of laying waste to all the bugs I get.. During the whole process they dance on the line of giving you the bottom line.. Signing you up for a $1050 yearly service, and only recourse is a very high cancellation fee, in my case $200.. Went online and bought all chemicals that totaled $150.. The total amount of what was applied to my home was less than 1/10th to 1/20th of this.. So do the math.. Less than $15 bucks in chemicals, 10 minutes of time and total cost a contract for $350 for services rendered for one visit.. Very shady.. Looks good on the surface, but if you use them and live in an area with lots of homes, really busy and aren't ever this might work for you.. Again, I am giving an honest opinion with all the variables laid out.. The cost of their service is more than my phone and internet put together, so to have bugs a week after their visit, which they didn't say was a long term contract.. I had a salesman come to my door from EcoShield offering a pest solution service, which I went through with him on everything. I confirmed what I was signing up for verbally several times and that I didn't want to be on a contract for more than a year. Come to find out, he had me sign a contract opposite of what was offered to me. I called to cancel my contract today after a year of being with them. They informed me that I was on a 2-year contract. I would need to pay a $150 cancellation fee since I was canceling before the 2-year mark. I let them know how I went through everything with the person, and he zoomed in on everything so I could digitally sign it. Come to find out, he zoomed in to where I didn't see on the contract that it was 2 years. The sales rep I dealt with had a supervisor reach out to me. I spoke with her and informed them of my situation. They offered no help or customer service. I would not recommend them and will tell anyone that deals with their shady sales people to take the tablet from them and zoom out on the contract so you can see everything because it could be the opposite of what they had promised. read more

If I could give no stars I would. We were on our way out when their salesman knocked. I was very explicit that I would pay $100 for a one time treatment only (which apparently did nothing to my ants). There was no mention of a contract or 24 months of service, had there been I would have sent him on his way. In addition, since we left for the afternoon, we have no proof that anything was ever done. The last we saw their salesman he was a block away all by himself and there was no sign of any truck or crew anywhere. Not a twig or blade of grass was disturbed in my yard after this "treatment". About three weeks later we started getting calls saying I had signed up for 24 month contract and to get out of it would cost me $250. I maintained I didn't sign up for anything and we asked for a copy of this contract. My initials were forged and where I was supposed to have signed the contract, someone had written "verbal agreement". This company is very shady at best and a complete fraud at worst. I will be sending a formal complaint to both the Consumer Affairs Dept of the Attorney General's office and to the Better Business Bureau. Engage this company at your own peril. read more

Absolutely ridiculous. Aggressive salesperson came to the door and, when I politely declined his immediate inspection of my home, said, "is your husband around [looking into my home]? I was in my home on July 5, 2022 when I was approached at my back door by "Carter" an Eco shield sales rep. He had an IPad in had. Stated there were many customers in my area that used Eco shield and there was an open slot. He asked if I would like service. I asked what was covered He stated roaches, mosquitos, centipedes and spiders among a few other bugs. Most of which i was having a problem with. I asked him how much the serve was he said 179 after tax QUARTERLY. He stated he would send my contract after he left. I recieved a text from him later stating my tech had to go back to Hicksville and would return in a few hours. The tech came and did his interior and exterior spray. A few days passed and I still saw many bugs. I contacted eco shield. They said someone would be out on August 5 for the "egg cycle visit". I was not Informed this was a seperate charge. When the technician came he sprayed. He didn't infirm me I would be charged again either. A few days later I noticed another charge for 179. I contacted eco shield. They stated it was noted in my contract. I was not sent a copy of my contract when I signed up on July 5, 2022. Nicole the rep sent it to me in August 2022. I tried to cancel They stated I was locked into this contract for 12 months. I would be charged $221 from canceling. I stayed. I contacted ecoshield for a visit In between visits because I was still seeing roaches and spiders. Today on September 19 the man came and said he needed to inspect and german cockroaches were not included in my package. He never inspected to know fhe type of roach he asked if i had pictures. I told him no i didnt know i needed them. He stated every treatment for roaches would be another $300 dollars on top of my quartly $179. I was over it. Today i cancelled my services. BEWARE THIS IS A SCAM! Like a lot of others have said they send a door-to-door salesman to sell the service. The sales guy (Devin) was pretty nice when I spoke to him. He promised that all my issues including slugs and mosquito will be taken care of and gave me his cell number. He said he is local and I can call him anytime for any questions/concerns. He gave a money-back guarantee if any of the issues are not resolved. They serviced the same day and after a month and a half, I still have the same issues. They scheduled my mosquito treatment 4 times and no one showed up. They never informed me about the schedule change. When I called every time they gave me some silly reason like the technician called in sick, the technician had a personal issue, that technician sucks and we fired him and now we will send someone reliable (who also didn't show up). I spoke to Devin (the sales guy) last week and he said he will take care of this and speak to the owner and the owner will call me to resolve the issue. No one called and they scheduled another appointment for this week where I have to pay again. I texted and called Devin again and asked him to cancel the service and he started giving excuses and told me again that he will take care of it. I have wasted so much time dealing with them and going back and forth. I just want the service to be canceled and get the money refunded since none of my issues got resolved and now they are giving me a run-around. I can keep on going as they have lied so many times. I'm beyond frustrated and thinking about reporting them to the BBB unless I get my service canceled by tomorrow and refund taken care of. Impossible to get a hold of. I signed up for mosquito prevention. They billed july when I signed up in july. At end of august still no one had shown up and I was looking at another month bill.
