Quick Lane waiting area. WiFi, coffee, water, tv, magazines. You're going to be here awhile.

I scheduled with Ed Kenley because their service has been vastly better than the Ford dealership in Ogden. Had an appointment for oil change at 8:00 am. Arrived early, waited in line 20 minutes as there was no separate check in for those with an appointment. Even after check-in they took back five vehicles from walk-in customers BEFORE me (chatted up the folks waiting). My vehicle was taken back nearly an hour past my appointment time. It was finally finished at 10:43. Not really happy with the service at the Quick Lane this time. When I made the appointment I did ask how long it would take (20 mins to an hour) and let them know I had another appointment at 10, they assured me that I'd be done and out well before then.... The employees should never make assurances they cannot follow through on. The constant up-selling efforts are a little annoying. Quick Lane waiting area has comfy chairs, plenty of magazines, free WiFi, coffee, water, tv, magazines and some toys for the kids. You're going to be here awhile. Service department has been courteous. Been waiting 9+ months for a catalytic converter to come in, and they've been understanding and apologetic ... and keep offering to have sales department help us trade in our paid off F150 for a new model since they don't know when they will get the parts in to fix the truck. Accessibility: There's ONE disabled parking spot in front, with the garbage can right in front of it blocking the sidewalk in front of the handicapped spot, so I had to circle around the back of the vehicle to go up the ramp. There is a nice wide ramp that leads right up to the door. The closest door is blocked off, with a handwritten sign indicating we are to 'Use next door'. The lobby wasn't very accessible due to the tire display and other things jutting into the walkway. The spacing from the sitting area was also too narrow to accommodate mobility aids. The building itself is accessible, and with a little rearranging, the waiting area *could be* as well. Thankfully the bathroom was accessible and safe.

Since being introduced by a family member to Ed Kenley Ford, I have enjoyed their exceptional care and service. The drive from my home to EKF is 150 miles round trip, but it is worth the extra effort for the relationship we have developed. Their no pressure approach allows me to conduct business in the professional manner I prefer - not the typical car dealership atmosphere and games. So far my wife and I have leased or purchased eight new trucks and SUVs from Ed Kenley Ford. My sons and friends from across the Intermountain area have also purchased multiple vehicles from EKF. Our combined experiences for service and purchases have been very favorable. As a customer that prefers Ford and Mercedes vehicles, my go to for the majority of my cars is EKF. If you appreciate high quality products and service at the appropriate price, I highly recommend them.

I paid $3,000 for a warranty that barely did anything, still had to pay so much out of pocket for the new engine. They offered no help and acted like I wasn't a customer. Also went in for an oil change with them and they gave me a list of maybe 10 urgent things needed done with my car for about $4,000 and then I took it over to VW to have them check told them what happened to be thorough, VW only found one minor thing and showed proof. Would not recommend this service department or sales to anyone. Would recommend going next door to VW as they are much more precise and thorough and honest with you.

1 STAR - ABSOLUTELY DISHONEST AND UNPROFESSIONAL…read more This place is a nightmare, and I regret ever bringing my car here. I initially went to this body shop on December 2nd just to get a quote. They took photos of the body damage and then told me I had engine damage that "had to be sent to their mechanic." I was told that was necessary to move forward, so I dropped my car off on December 5th. From that point on, communication was almost nonexistent. They sent me a body estimate and repeatedly told me they were "waiting on the mechanic." My insurance adjuster didn't even inspect the car until December 9th, yet Allstate issued a payment that same day -- a payment I never signed for, never authorized, and never agreed could be cashed. Weeks went by with no updates. On December 15th, they again claimed they were still waiting on their mechanic. Then I heard nothing until December 29th. When I told them I wanted to move my car to another shop due to the ridiculous delays, I was suddenly told I couldn't -- because they had already cashed the insurance check without my authorization. At that point, I didn't know better and felt trapped, so I reluctantly agreed to continue. Big mistake. They didn't submit the mechanic's estimate until January 5th, at which point they conveniently decided the engine issue "wasn't related to the accident" -- despite the fact that my engine had ZERO leaks before the accident. On January 8th, I demanded my check back and told them I would pick up my car on January 12th. I was told it would take two weeks to return the money. It is now January 28th, and I still do not have my check. To make matters worse, I contacted their corporate office and spoke to someone named Chris, who said he would "look into it." Instead of helping, he falsely told the body shop that I approved the repairs -- which I absolutely did NOT. The body shop then texted me claiming I had approved work and needed to bring my car back. That never happened. Let me be very clear: I never signed anything. I never authorized payment. I never approved repairs. This shop cashed a check without consent, stalled for over a month, withheld funds they have no right to, and then tried to cover themselves by falsely claiming I approved work. This is not just incompetence -- this is unethical business behavior. If you value your time, your money, or your vehicle, stay far away from this place.

On July 9, 2024 I purchased a 1965 Ford Ranchero from Haake Motors in Layton UT. The car was a consignment sale, but I was not able to pick it up until July 28 because the dealer got their own Utah title which was not necessary (remember it was a consignment sale). It gets even better. Haake Motors never sent the title to m y home state of Nevada until November 22, 2024, four months after I picked up the car. I previously called several times asking them to send the title. Total amateurs. I was assured the car was ready to go. After all, it was represented as a great driver in it's Las Vegas home. It was clean and appeared fine, and I checked under the hood for any apparent leaks. None found. All clean. I was told the AC was fine. I started the four hour drive back to my home and realized the air was not working, but decided to continue my trip. Within 50 miles the car was overheating. Under the hood the thermostat housing and water pump gaskets were leaking, and were cleaned up before I picked the car up. The AC hose fittings at the firewall were all hand loose, so the AC was never working. I got as far as St. George and ended up having the car transported to my home, 180 miles away. It was clear this car could not have been a Las Vegas driver...no AC and water gasket leaks. I called the dealer and spoke with the salesman telling him about my plight, and asked for consideration. Nothing ever happened. No follow-up from them. No concern. Nothing. Only a botched title transfer and vehicle misrepresentation.

I took the truck in to have the brakes fixed and they said that they replaced the rotors and brake pads which did not fix the problem. I was searching all day and looking at different lots, but they either didn't have what I wanted, were too pushy, or flat out wasted my time. I found them as I was traveling north up the valley and pretty much was going to give up after them if I didn't find the car I was looking for. I searched their up-to-date website that had honest pricing and no shady "call for price". I found a car I was interested in and headed there. I went in and was greeted and shown the car. I looked it over and really loved the personal touches they put on each vehicle they had (mine had a new set of rims and tires that fit perfectly with the vehicle). After test driving, rather than rush for the sale, Nate really asked questions to get to know me and explained Black Rock and their philosophy about how you should leave with a car that makes others wonder where you went, instead of a car that everyone and their mother-in-law drives (my paraphrase not his exact words). This is a small business I was glad I stumbled upon, and even happier I was able to patronize. I didn't read any of the reviews before I went in, but I wasn't surprised when I saw all the 5-stars on them. Thank you again for my Jeep, and I already have had a few people asked where I went and how did I get it at the great price I did. I definitely shared your website and will continue to do so.
