Absolutely horrible experience!!!!!! Went to look at a car that was advertised for $15584 on Cars.com. Called and wanted to talk to a salesman over the phone since we're in the middle of the COVID19 crisis. Was told we had to come in. We make the hour drive to look at the car. They then try to say the car is "actually" $15,700. We disagree and show them the advertised price. After 1.5 hours they finally come back with paperwork to buy the car. Total price jumped to $19,554. I laughed in the salesman face and went to walk out. After another hour of explaining I was paying cash for the car and was not paying for the $995 "Napelton Experience" crab of free courtesy rides and car washes. They asked me to finance it so they could quote "make money somehow" I said NO. I agreed to pay the advertised price plus the Missouri doc fee of $199. We after hours agree, THEN all the sudden they say they can't sell the car because it has an A/C issue that has to be fixed. We leave, totally frustrated. The next day I follow up with the manager. He states he will call me back later that day when the repairs are complete. He does not, we had to follow up 3 days in a row, never receiving a call back. Next the car price on Cars.com drops to $15,100. I call again and ask about the repairs, they are now complete. I asked about the price drop online and was told that was a mistake, the guy posting it didnt know it needed repairs. The car price is now $16,100. Hahah are you following this train wreck still???? I ask on the phone what parts of the A/C unit were replaced. I was told 3 times by the salesman the entire A/C system. I questioned this because Honda has a nationwide recall on the condensers. So I asked,w as just the condenser replaced and the answer again was the whole system, compressor and all. I again drive 1 hours back over there, now for the third time. I even agree to buy the car with the entire A/C system replaced for now $16,100. Only because at this point they have wore me down and wasted so much of my time I am just ready to buy the car for my daughter and get out of there. They agreed to provide copies of the parts replaced and offer a 90 day warranty on JUST the A'C parts because the car is now also sold as is. I agree, head to the office 2 hours later to sign the papers. We get to the point of me writing the check and I ask for the service records and documentation of the 90 day warranty we agreed upon. The service manager is now annoyed and makes it very clear! He says he will email them tomorrow. I say no way, I want to see them before I make the purchase. My gut said it was bull crap. The salesman asked us at least 10 times to please leave him a good review. I joked and said I would leave the truth. I let him know my experience was nothing good. In the meantime the finance guy is trying to now locate the service records for the A/C repairs done at his shop. I keep expressing I have to leave, I have somewhere I have to be and cannot wait any longer. They finally come thru with the records and I immediately realized that the only part replaced was the condenser and a few seals and orings. NOT THE WHOLE A/C SYSTEM and also this is the part covered for free thru Honda and has a 10 year warranty extension because of a known problem. SO of course I question this. They are caught and say "They think there is a paper missing" I express I dont have time for this B.S and I can go down the street and buy the same car for $15,500. The finance manager says "and you still can". Needless to say I walked out and said call me when you can sell the car for the advertised price, minus all the bullcrap fees, with proper documentation of the repairs promised. Of course no call today from the salesman, however I did get a voicemail from someone at the dealership congratulating me on my new car purchase today.. I wasted 3 trips, 6 hours of drive time, over 4 hours inside the dealership and got nothing but lies over and over. I gave this place so many chances and they let me down over and over. Horrible customer service, lack of respect of customers time, lack of respect with the COVID situation. I have never taken the time to EVER write a business review but since the salesman thought it was appropriate to harass me about leaving a review I thought I would waste 10 more minutes of my time on this and share my story. Reading other reviews it sounds like this is their style. read more
