    Caesar Salad (dressing on side)
    Samantha W.

Long story short: I enjoy this restaurant more than Steak 48 aside from their bread (nothing special, Steak 48 is more unique). Also, this is NOT a casual dining experience - be prepared to dress more formally and spend a good money but I think it's worth it. Parking: There is 10 dollar valet or you can park in the garage not too far down the road and the walk is not bad at all. Steak 48 is harder to find parking. Service: It took a while for my drinks to come out and for some reason, they gave bread after the appetizers but other than that, they were very attentive. Food: Personally, I loved everything I got. The calamari was well fried and flavored well. Portions are also very large. Maybe I came on a good day but the steak was SO good - well made, cooked to my order, and didn't need any sauces to complement it. Also the truffle mac and cheese is delicious. And the molten chocolate cake is to die for. I will definitely be back on a special occasion! Great experience overall.

came to eddie V again today after so long upscale ambiance as always :) we began with the shared starters: Point Judith Calamari (8/10) Prime Steak Tataki (9/10- flavorful) for Soup or Salad Selection: Maine Lobster Bisque (we picked this, you can find a good portion of lobster) Caesar Salad for Entrée Selection: 18 oz. USDA Prime Bone-In New York Strip (we opted for this, v huge portion, but the medium rare was rather like a medium, we may opt for rare next time) for shared sides, we had: Au Gratin Cheddar Potatoes Grilled Asparagus Truffled Macaroni & Cheese (10/10) i love love the truffle fragrance, perfect with any cream soup we ended the nite with Warm Belgian Chocolate Cake (dark chocolate cake went so well with light vanilla ice cream), lovely dessert very quick service & professional staff plenty of parking in the nearby garage (free) or you can opt for valet (front of restaurant)

I guess I'll start by saying very nice, very elegant restaurant. But ummm let's get into this review. Waiter was pleasant and for context we came with our old people in the family, so he was very patient with all of their requests. We ordered the lobster tacos which were PACKED with lobster, amen. The crab cakes that were tasty, I just had to pick through a few shells...ehhh, I've definitely had worse. But why that man asked me if I needed hot sauce for my crab cakes? What kinda BLACK stereotype sh** is that, sir. Or is it just me? Smh, anyways my husband's steak, perfect and the au gratin potatoes and crab fried rice didn't disappoint either. *claps for that. Oh and check y'all bill because we had to ask ChatGPT WTH a "MB tax" was...cause huh?!?! Just be making up stuff and saying anything, but I digress. Cool lil $300 meal though.

The jazz vibe during Happy Hour and our waitress (Kaylee) were Outstanding! ThVista. menu options were a bit limited, but you can't go wrong at Eddie V's. If you want a spot to unwind after a long day/week. Hit this spot!

Popped in for Houston Restaurant Week (HRW). Service was good, he was quite attentive. Nice upscale vibe. Complementary Watermelon gazpacho- 3/5 reminds me of Catalina dressing. Just too thick for me. Complementary Bread -4/5 warm sourdough bread Appetizer: Lobster bisque- 4/5 had a nice consistency, had a definite fishy Salt & pepper shrimp appetizer 4/5 but was a tad chewy. Asian favors. Entree: Chef's Seasonal Fish special was drum fish and it was wonderful. 5/5. It was blackened in buttery sauce. Just flaky tender & melted in your mouth. I'd recommend it if you are considering it. Filet - was well seasoned cooked as ordered MR. It felt a bit small for "8oz". I typically can't finish a 6oz filet but I finished this entire piece. 4/5 for flavor/taste. 3/5 for size. Garlic mashed potatoes 3/5, were very garlicky. I love garlic mash but thought they coulda blended or balanced the garlic flavor a bit better. Dessert: banana foster butter cake 4/5 was good but it's very very rich. All in all a good experience. They are a good choice & value for HRW.

Had an excellent time at Eddie V's this past weekend. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday and we had a great time and a great experience at the restaurant. The host were very accommodating as our reservation went from a party of 12 to a party of eight they quickly accommodate it their request and sat us down with no issue. Our server was Roman or Ronan, and he was very knowledgeable of the menu and of the beverages served. We really appreciated his knowledge and attentiveness to us. For my drink, I ordered The hope diamond which was a statement piece to our table. The drink was really good had floral accents and of course it was pretty to look at. For dinner, I ordered the grilled jumbo shrimp and the lobster mashed potatoes. The jumbo shrimp had lump crab in it or on top of it and it was season very well. It wasn't two rubbery. It was perfect. The lobster mashed potatoes with something. I've never tried before. The mashed potatoes were buttery topped with pieces of lobster. I really love the consistency of the mashed potatoes. They weren't overcooked or too runny. However, the butter was a little overpowering, but still delicious. Overall, we had a great time at Eddie V's and look forward to to dining here again.

I'm only rating this off their Restaurant Week Menu. I liked that they included a steak option that did not have an up charge like most restaurants during HRW. They give you a free appetizer/beginner of a watermelon palate cleanser - I didn't like it and even our waitress said she doesn't like it, honestly feels like a waste to include it if no one really touches it. The appetizer choices that my group and I tried were the fried shrimp and lobster bisque. Both we thought were pretty good and rate it a 4/5 For the main my friends and I ordered the salmon or the filet mignon. The salmon was great but the side of just vegetables were okay. The filet was a decent size and cooked well but the potatoes it comes with were punch in the face with garlic. I love garlic but even I thought it was a bit much. 3/5 Dessert we all got the banana's foster. The other options didn't seem as nice which were berries and cream or ice cream. They definitely gave you a good portion. I enjoyed it - was very sweet but it was good. 3/5 We also decided to get drinks, a wine, a mule, and the diamond. The drinks were okay. 3/5 I loved the live music! They played some great songs.

I really liked the ambiance of this restaurant and the food was also really good! I got the salmon and it was delicious, but ai have had better salmon before. I loved the Cesar salad and it was so fresh and huge! Next time I would love to try the steak. There was plenty of parking which was nice. The service was also great! The dessert was tasty, but not my favorite

Memorable and Delicious! Every time! I was treated to dinner hear and wanted to share the experience. It starts with the valets who are top notch and they approach as quickly as you as you arrive and greet you. Entering the doors someone usually greets you as well and welcomes you in as the doors are held open. Thank you! Next the host(ess) ensures you are quickly seated. The decor as a hold says what to expect and what type of experience it should be, fine dining at its best. This is further contributed to by the elegance of the wait staff as if in a gala or ball making it even more incredible. To top it off no one is just standing around and are constantly filling gaps as necessary from topping off your glass to removing an empty dish from your table. It's as if they have been trained to be a cohesive unit. Now my dish deserves to be commended along with Atul the manager whom I feel greets every guests, however on this occasion me. My hat off to the chef for their work as well. Along with my server. I put myself at the mercy of the chef creativity who prepares something vegan friendly and has never failed. I was presented with a grilled and seasoned tofu steak accompanied with a medley of mixed and saute of colorful carrots with asparagus, mushrooms and more. This was another wonderful experience and I look forward to the next. So, until the next one Bye-Bye!

I've been to this location a few times and have always had good experiences, but this visit really stood out. We sat at the bar, and I immediately noticed the brighter lighting which made a big difference in the overall vibe. The pianist was excellent; I really enjoyed his voice and song selections. The highlight of the night, though, was our server in training, Sabrina. She was incredibly attentive, personable, and made us feel genuinely taken care of. If this is her while training, I can only imagine how great she'll be once she's fully settled in.

Eddie V's is one of my all time favorite restaurants. I try every one I can when I travel. This one is just as awesome as the rest. One of the most consistent restaurant chains I've ever experienced. Food, service & environment is always top notch. Love the live music as well.

We had an almost perfect night at Eddie V's. The weather was beautiful, the ambiance was spot-on and the live band added such a great energy to the evening. Our server was amazing, offering thoughtful recommendations and making sure we were well taken care of throughout the night. I ordered the lamb chops, which were flavorful but a bit on the fatty side. When I mentioned it to our server, the manager promptly came over and kindly offered to replace the dish. I declined but I really appreciated the attentiveness and professionalism. They went above and beyond by treating us to a complementary wonderful dessert and glass of champagne, which was such a classy touch and left us fully satisfied. The cocktails were excellent. The Private Plane cocktail was perfectly balanced and the lemon drops were equally impressive. Overall, it was a lovely evening with good food, exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend Eddie V's for a special night out!

Eddie V's Prime Seafood has been one of my favorite restaurants since I moved here. It offers an exceptional dining experience with a menu featuring fresh seafood and premium steaks. The service is attentive, the elegant ambiance with live jazz music accompanies the standout dishes! My favs being the Chilean Sea Bass, filet mignon, crab cakes, Cesar salad, mocktails, and Bananas Foster Butter Cake. Reservations are recommended.

I stopped by on a Sunday around 6 p.m. While I Uber'd, I know that you can find free street parking in the area despite it often being busy. Ambiance (3.5/5): The Davenport was packed even on a Sunday evening. To the point where no seats were available. Luckily for me, about 10 minutes in, the lady next to me left so I was able to snag a seat at the bar. There are also high tops and a small patio out front. The Davenport is a pretty chill establishment, but one with a loyal following. Service (4/5): A full bar usually means service issues. There was a component of that here. It took a little while to order my drink and later to get the bartender's attention to close my tab. Given how popular The Davenport is, your experience will likely be the same. Luckily, they make up for it by going above and beyond with their cocktails. I'll get to that in a second. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet, and to be honest, while I'm not 100%, I don't think they have food. There was a guy walking around selling boudin though right when I was about to leave. Drinks (4.5/5): The Davenport is known for their martinis so that's what I recommend going with. It's a The Cheesecake Factory-type menu with 40 or so martinis to choose from. Paradox of choice situation. I ended up going with the gummy bear which was a solid cocktail, although a bit too sweet for my taste. Here's what makes Davenport next level... their martinis pack a punch. I always appreciate a stiff drink. And on top of that, they often give you more than your cocktail in a martini glass. There's usually quite a bit leftover so they'll pour that in another glass for you. Basically a drink and a half for the price of one! Given the strength of the cocktails and the quantity, it's definitely a good deal. The Davenport has been around for a while and has become a well-known spot. I'm glad I finally got to cross it off the list. After you down a martini or two, there's an Irish pub right next door and Trill Burger right across the street.

Vibe was a good entire time as they started playing some R&B/hiphop... the crowd slowly trickled in. By the time we left it was almost packed! We had a really nice little table near the front so got to see alot of regulars come in. The bartender even gave us a round of shots on the house for being our first time. My profile: 40s, grown and sexy, open to trying new food in the city and I like an elevated dining environment and based on the clientele, the crowd skewed younger than my group **Greeting Area: Patrons enter front-and-rear pass-through elevator; It is a small area which got stacked up with people waiting for their table. You are greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and you are given a 15 min. grace period for your table, before your reservation is cancelled, per my friend. We waited a bit because I was 13 minutes late, delaying the seating of our party - when we were seated, the place was not full, so I'm curious why we had to wait. **Food: The food was hot and well-prepared. Nothing was overly salty and the side sauce on the kebobs was a perfect complement to flavor - I didn't have the burger that my friend had but he described it as flavorful and the fries looked very crispy and perfectly made **Ambience: You have two hours to eat from when the orders are put into the system - this always irks me because you feel like you're on a conveyor belt and rushed to eat. For $30 chicken kebobs, can I have a moment? But, I have a theory...the volume of the music helps to "bump" you right on out the door and speeds up your eating - it was too loud and made it hard for us to hear the server, much less the convo at the table. We asked for it to be turned down a bit, but not sure that ever happened. In addition, hookah. Why? The place is not vented, nor are these hookah-ers seated on the patio. **Decor: They were missing the brunchspot "flower wall", however, floral decor was abounding - there was nice furniture in the "regency style" was mixed with modern elements; it was tasteful but we need to do a good wipedown and dusting of windows, mirrors and lighting - I took a mirror selfie which had a giant smudge mark **Service: Aliyah was our server and she was very personable and she had a very welcoming spirit. We ordered some beverages and additional sauces, which were never delivered when the restaurant started to fill up and we ultimately cancelled them --Glows: Great service, good app (the wings), front end staff was pleasant and took a photo of our group, good/hot food --Grows: Wipe down the glass leading to the restroom (VISIBLE and clear smudges from people touching the glass), clean the chandeliers, clear out the (kitchen?) smoke from the men's room, allow for an approved list of side item subs (rice or fries/mashed potatoes, etc.), stop charging for 2 additional ozs. of sauce for the food - the food cost doesn't justify this "nickel and diming", don't serve a chipped or broken plate to a customer: THROW IT OUT (details make the difference) Hacks: Park on the 2nd level and enter through the front-and-rear pass-through elevator to get to the restaurant, get two hours of free parking at the front desk The verdict: I think it's a one-and-done. Great potential, great product but I'll leave this for the youngins.
