    Soft serviced drink

Ambiance 10/10, service is good. I have been about 4 times, and I will be back. However, the food is a hit or miss - meaning, sometimes they do not have the ingredients to make the meal, which is confusing. Sometimes there is a DJ and sometimes there is live music.

I love the vibe of this restaurant. It's located in the East River development and the large outdoor patio has a beautiful view overlooking Buffalo Bayou (no smell thank goodness) and a glimpse of the downtown skyline. I've visited City Cellars for brunch and dinner and was lucky enough to experience live music both times which really made it a lovely experience. I think the drinks here are made really well so I pretty much love to relax outside and just enjoy the view. As far as the food options, I haven't been blown away just yet. I enjoyed the calamari appetizer I had however, the short rib lacked flavor and a bit overcooked in my opinion. For brunch I thought the variety of bruschetta options was really neat so decided to try the smoked salmon and crawfish (waitress pick). I preferred the smoked salmon one it was savory and the capers on top was a nice touch. The crawfish one tasted very bland. I didn't even think crawfish and bland could go together but that was my experience with this meal. I'll still come back to support this establishment for many reasons, the well made drinks, atmosphere and the restaurants mission and values. I'm often in the East River/ 5th ward area for work and I was really happy to hear how the owner stands behind the community by creating an apprenticeship program for the community. I love a good cause, so for that I'll always find the good where I can! I'd definitely recommend checking it out for yourself.

I had city cellar on my list for a while so me and my friends decided to meet there for a lunch. When we arrived we weren't sure where to park but we found this parking garage near us and it seemed to be free and walking distance. When we arrived it was surprisingly empty around lunch time but it was MLK day and I'm assuming people normally come in the evenings for drinks with the skyline behind. We looked through the menu, as a vegetarian it seemed very much like typical American food with not too many veggie options. I opted to do two of the brusettas and we shared the sriracha Mac and cheese balls. The brusettas were pretty basic and the cheese balls were good creamy and spicy. During our time we were constantly swatting flies - I think because this patio is by the water, the flies love the area and there's so much food. Flies ended up in my water cup. It was quite windy as well outside so a lot of tissues blew away. It also does get hot but you can ask the waitress to open the umbrella which helps sometime depending on the angle of the sun. The views from the patio was very nice with the skyline present. I see the appeal of this place because of the view and location however the flies really didn't make it as enjoyable and the food is pretty average so I probably won't be back.

Came here for Easter brunch with an 11:30 reservation and showed up about 20 minutes early -- we were seated right away, which was a great start. We kicked things off with a Bloody Mary and a rosé. They didn't have the rosé we ordered and had to substitute another label, which was a little disappointing, but not a big deal. For food, we ordered the Bananas Foster French Toast and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. Both were excellent. The French toast comes with three super thick slices (seriously, about 1¼ inches thick), topped with bananas and drenched in caramel sauce. The portion is huge and definitely shareable. The Short Rib Grilled Cheese was served on thick sourdough with a generous amount of short rib and a cheddar-heavy cheese blend. It came with a massive pile of crispy, double-fried French fries that were ridiculously good. The indoor ambiance is nice, but the patio would definitely be the place to sit when the weather cooperates. Great views of Buffalo Bayou and the downtown skyline too. Would absolutely order both dishes again!

This place has been on my list for sometime - so glad i was able to stop in. The bartenders were wonderful - very personable - and definitely know how to make a cocktail. Our group had a wide variety of appetizers - and everything was delish!! Only thing I would suggest is add a few more crostini's to the spinach artichoke dip - 6 is not a good crostini / dip ratio. You have the ability to valet or self park in the garage. If you self park, the walk back feels very safe. Definitely recommend!

We just had one of THE BEST crab cakes in all of Houston. No lie. I order them anytime it's on the menu at any restaurant, and this is my favorite in Houston at the moment. We've gone to City Cellars for brunch and dinner (during HRW). Our brunch experience was probably our favorite. Sitting outside with mimosas, good music, and--gumbo for brunch? Yes... Our recent dinner experience could have been better. Loved my champagne flight. Loved said crab cakes. But the beau's steak--ordered medium rare--was more well done. He was too hungry when the food arrived that it wasn't worth the hassle to send back. The veggies that accompanied it were nicely charred and had a smokey flavor. And the nanner pudding was a sweet surprise!

I honestly don't understand the bad reviews because I love City Cellars! Every visit I've had has been such a positive experience. The food is truly incredible everything is made from scratch, and you can taste the quality in every bite. Their scratch biscuits are insanely good and I'm not even a Benedict girl, but their salmon & egg Benedict has literally changed my life The staff is always sweet, the vibes are great, and the drinks are spectacular, made well and never watered down. Pricing is a little on the higher side, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Plus, they have some of the BEST fries! I'm also so happy they finally added outdoor heaters for the cooler months, the patio view is such a vibe and now you can enjoy it comfortably. My only tiny wishlist item would be purse hooks on the tables or even just bag hooks in the bathroom. Other than that, it's truly a 10/10 spot I'll keep coming back to.

The strongest points of this restaurant is definitely the patio view. The food was consistently same just OK level, when checked out few times. Service is sometimes slower and they mixed the order when shift changed. As the restaurant itself is pretty with beautiful view form patio, I would recommend this place for a evening out drinks and chat with appetizers.

Back for the 2nd time and it was just as lovely as the first time back in August. Originally, I went to catch a sunset happy hour but this time I went for a quick lunch with a peer. The lunch menu provided "business" lunch deal for $25 where you select an appetizer and entree. (Side note: you can also order from the full menu which provided as well) There were some options that you could choose for an up-charge. I chose crab cakes (+ $8) for my app and shrimp & grits for the entree. My peer selected calamari and a turkey club. All dishes came out quick and were fresh and hot. The server was friendly and kept our waters and my strawberry lemonade refilled. She also helped me decide on an entree option when I couldn't decide. We sat on the patio which gives a really nice view of downtown, the bayou and walking paths.

Came here during happy hour with two of my friends and it may just be the best happy hour special in Houston! The snacks there's was quite a bit to choose from and were basically all $10 and they all sounded good! They ran out of the two flavors of bruschetta I wanted which was a bummer and out of the flavors we did get the elote one was the best , I probably would've liked them more had they had the burrata and the margherita I think was the other one that was out? But the dumplings, sliders, and fried Mac and cheese we loved The drinks on happy hour also some of the best deals in town all under $10

Patio with good views. Service and atmosphere: All staff members were friendly and polite. Our server was attentive and helpful. The restaurant is located in the new development area surrounded by office buildings and new businesses. The interior was modern and clean. They have separate bar area and big patios outside overlooking Houston bayou and downtown. Food and drinks: The menu offers many interesting options. I chose the bowl with hearty vegetables and grains and added steak to it for extra $10. The food was okay. I expected a bit more flavour and the dish was lacking seasoning. Most of the components on the plate were coated with oil which made the food monotone. They definitely offer extended list of drinks (cocktails, wines, beers). We didn't get to try it during the visit. Pricing: $$

Let's say Cute! This place is a nice spot to just unwind solo, go on a date, or just catch up with friends. It's outside time! The patio was packed. We went for happy hour. Very nice menu. The food was meh. I love Calamari but it fried in cornmeal was a first. I don't like it. It also had shrimp and a couple shishito peppers. The idea of a grilled lemon, on point. We also got the dumplings and fried green tomatoes. All these entrees were served at room temp. Probably it was mot picked up by the waitress on time because the kitchen set up looks like it was cooked at order. My favorite was the friend green tomatoes. I felt it was a little thin in that I had to take all the cornmeal off to actually enjoy the fried green tomatoes but that crab meat and sauce complimented it so well. We also had the bruschetta board. It was good and held the bext day. The bread was a burnt a little which was not a delight to me but my friend like that about it. They have wine, back of the bar items, and House favorites that are on happy hour for drinks. You will definitely find what you are looking for $10. We were able to see the sun set an enjoy the night view of downtown. The weird thing is the floor does shake a bit. Parking sucks. If you can't find street parking it is $15 to valet. Just like a few other establishments, they add a 20% gratuity. I hope this isn't to compensate because they don't pay fair wages to their employees. Luckily our server, Dee, actually deserved it. I will be vack to try their full menu. But will likely not frequent this place because of the parking.

I went to City Cellars for a work lunch on Friday and we both decided to try the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. Apparently, if one person at the table orders it, everyone has to--something to keep in mind if you go with a group. We went family-style for the first courses and shared Brussels sprouts and crab cakes. Both were solid starters. For mains, I got the lamb chops and eggs while my coworker went with the steak and eggs. The lamb chops were a little fatty, but the steak was huge and cooked well. City Cellars has a nice, relaxed atmosphere with pretty decent views of downtown. Overall, it was a good lunch spot and I'm interested in coming back for happy hour or an early evening visit to see what the vibe is like then.

Our waiter was equally amazing and attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring we had a wonderful evening. We started with the deviled eggs and crab beignets, both of which were absolutely delicious. Their French onion soup was hearty. Drinks were fabulous too. For our meal, we ordered the mashed potatoes, cacio e pepe, pork schnitzel, blackened fish, miso fish, and burger, and every dish was perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. The restaurant went above and beyond by surprising my mother-in-law with a birthday dessert (upon my request when I had originally booked it), which was such a thoughtful touch and made the celebration even more memorable. We also enjoyed the pecan ball and chocolate soufflé, and both were outstanding. Between the incredible food, impeccable service, and special attention to our celebration, State of Grace exceeded all expectations. Annabella, our waiter, and the entire staff made the evening feel truly special. Easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Houston, and we can't wait to return! I will be planning a girls night there soon!

Hollywood, va voom and metagorda all similar in taste to each other. The maison salad was delicious. Butter lettuce with the toppings and sauce was just enjoyable. The butter burger sliders were good. Just would like it thicker as it's too much bun. The cookie on the way out was so awesome, I almost went back in to grab another. Gingerbread I think. Avery was a wonderful bartender and kept up with entertaining conversations and was attentive to all service needs. Tried the g4 tequila reposado and it was very easy drinking.

Our server, Tirrell, was genuinely one of the nicest & kindest servers we've ever had. Gave good recommendations, brought our food out in a timely order and was simply a great guy overall. Definitely recommend sitting in his section if you get the chance! Food: We started with Bang Bang Chicken which was so so good!!! perfectly balanced sweet & sour and somehow still had a kick to it. For entrees, we got the Mediterranean Chicken bowl and the Blackened Chicken. I only have one thing to say for both: So. Much. Flavor Desert finished it off just well enough for me to want to return tomorrow. We had the chocolate cake but the Creme Brulee Cheesecake is hands down the way to go. Definitely coming back here!!

They even greet you with a complimentary glass of champagne as soon as you walk in which sets the tone for the whole experience. I brought my girl here for a anniversary date night and we had such a good time. Madeline was our server and she was amazing. I believe Monica was the manager and she made sure everything was perfect too. The food came out fresh, flavorful and every dish was delicious. This is also the biggest Joey location I've been to and the whole vibe made the experience even better. Definitely one of my favorite places and I'll absolutely be back.

I know. "Fine dining" and burgers? But that's what I wanted. I searched the web and found the Chefs Table in Vintage Park, and it wasn't too far from us here in The Woodlands, so we decided to make reservations and head there. From the moment we entered, we were treated like special guests. The ambiance is rich, but not overdone or stuffy. Simply classic and relaxing. Our booth felt private and unhindered by conversations of nearby diners or wait staff bustling past. Our cocktails were perfect. The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. Apparently, when my husband made our resv, he told them it was my birthday, so our server brought out a delightful complimentary spiced cake dessert after we were finished eating - for us to share. It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me. We will definitely be back to try some other delights because the menu is packed full of amazing looking dishes.

We were seated in a booth that felt quite cramped for a business meeting. Next time, we'd likely request a more open, well-lit table. We ordered several dishes, but the Chilean sea bass was disappointing. It was dry, lacked the buttery texture it's known for, and was quite bland. We also requested a side of hot sauce, but that request was overlooked. To end the meal, we planned to order coffee and toffee instead of dessert. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, we were told the coffee machine had broken. Unfortunately, by then the server seemed eager to wrap things up and didn't really give us the opportunity to consider any other after-meal options. Overall, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we can see why it's popular, but the food execution and service fell short of our expectations, especially for a business lunch. We hope these issues were just an off day, as we'd like to give it another chance.

The croutons in the Caesar salad are made from actual homemade sourdough bread, fried fresh to order, and they are absolutely delicious. Normally, I have to steer completely clear of bread due to gluten, but they use a high-quality, special flour here that my system handled with absolutely no issues or reactions. It truly makes you feel special dining here. A massive shout-out to my waitress, Sarah!
