I'm pretty sure HRW has its own little section of the restaurant, which honestly feels like we've been separated from the regular menu population. Jack was our waiter and phenomenal--ask for him! Chris was also super helpful. Beautiful restaurant with gorgeous floor to ceiling windows that look at parking lot. Bread? Great. Crab cake? Pretty good, but an upgrade. Short rib? Yes. Did not disappoint. The butter cake could've been warmer, but still solid. Our latest experience at Del Friscos was lackluster in the taste buds department. We arrived a bit late for our reservation and called ahead. They were more than accommodating, moving our reservation to 15 mins later which we are thankful for. The place was busy when we arrived, the hostess invited us to grab a drink at the bar as our table was being prepared.We grabbed two drinks at the downstairs bar. My husband ordered a Whiskey Sour and I ordered a Cosmo with Andrew. They weren't terrible drinks just didn't taste like much alcohol was in them, kinda watery. I love ordering a Cosmopolitan and getting that "snap crackle and pop" feeling in my jaw after the first sip. That did not occur with this Cosmopolitan. My husband's whiskey sour wasn't strong either, he didn't like his much either. After we ordered our drinks at the downstairs bar with Andrew, our table was ready upstairs. When we were sat at our table and ordered the next round they were better but not the best. Our waiter Jack was amazing! He was very attentive and communicated any delays. For starters, we ordered the Oyster Rockefeller which were delicious! The best in the city! Literally the amount of spinach versus seasoning is perfect, our waiter assumed we didn't get our appetizer because we devoured them so fast lol. We are Landry's members and received the email advertising a Filet, shrimp and lobster all for 90$ this weekend! As steak and shrimp lovers we were excited to try such a great deal, so we ordered those for our entrees with au gratin potato and creamed corn as sides. I ordered my steak Meduim rare pittburgh style, mentioning how much I love a charred outer crust. My steak arrived meduim rare without an ounce of Pittsburgh on the outside no char or crisp at all. The jumbo shrimp looked decadent but had not an ounce of flavor. I attempted to drown it in the butter that comes on top of the steak and that didn't help. My husband ate the lobster tails and he stated they didn't have much flavor either. There wasn't any butter or garlic on the shrimp or lobster. The most flavorful thing on our table were the creamed corn. Yes, even the au gratin potato's didn't taste like much. I was surprised because it mentioned in the menu it had bacon and all these yummy flavorful things and it was so underwhelming. I wanted to ask for salt or pepper or something. It just wasn't a good meal not terrible but disappointing and it was so sad because we were celebrating my husbands new job opportunity and we had held off eating all day just to fully enjoy our meal. Perhaps because the Landry member deal was only for select customers they didn't feel the need to season or prepare it correctly? We sat there trying to think of why everything was so subpar lol. We can only assume it's because we ordered a "special deal" and not standard menu options. I think if I would've just ordered a regular filet it would've come out pittburgh style and flavored better. Maybe taking advantage of Landry select members deals isn't always the ideal route? All in all I don't think we will be coming back to Del Frisco's any time soon unless I'm craving the oyster Rockefeller! It has fallen to the bottom of our favorite Landry steakhouses. If I could double the stars for this establishment I would. Visited for Houston restaurant week and then had to spin the block for another round. I had the beef and veal meatballs to start with the braised rib and closed the night with the butter cake. Let me walk you through the explosions that occurred for my taste pallet. First they had this complimentary bread and it was buttery goodness with the crackle salt at the top a real combination of flavors. Then the meatballs were good but the braised rib and mashed potatoes were tooo die for. The only thing that would have made it better was if they added a green veggie (not the mushrooms) I'm not a mushroom fan and even those with the rib was good. The rib was braised to perfection and real tender. I'm not sure how I got to the butter cake but I definitely had a few scoops and then took the rest to go. Ambiance was beautiful. Service was kind and professional yet a little detached and some time went for entrees to be served. For HRW, the menu is a 4 course menu, but 3rd course is an additional charge (which honestly feels like it's a little murky in calling it a 3rd course on a price fixe menu when all options are additional.) Fix course menu - got the wedge salad with blue cheese, filet mignon (asked for medium turned out more medium rare but still great flavor), pork chop with very solid flavoring as well. You have to try his special drink which is off menu and any steak you order will be made to perfection here. I also had a crab cake as an appetizer that was mouthwatering. Plenty of parking spots in front but for valet only ($13) Del's salad is a great choice if you want a light starter. Or if you prefer more dressing, opt for blue cheese lettuce wedge. For entrées, we had the 8oz filet mignon (medium) that was cooked to perfection perfection (100/10) and the 16oz prime strip (medium rare) - very generous portion! These were easily among the best steaks we had this year! For the sides, chateau mashed potatoes were a big hit (everyone was talking abt this must-order!). Not to mention green beans, they were also very well-seasoned Chocolate mousse and cheesecake are good options for desserts, very beautifully decorated. Overall, very luxurious vibe! Expectations exceeded! So after having a lackluster experience the first time at Del Friscos, I was contacted by the manager, Laura. She was extremely understanding of our issues and assured me that our visit did not meet their high standards and offered to have my wife and I come back out and try them again. I did not plan to ever go back prior to her reaching out. I'm definitely glad we did. We started by ordering a bottle of Orin Swift Merlot which turned out to be a great choice and a perfect pairing. For appetizers we went with the shrimp cocktail and the Lobster Tempura. The shrimp cocktail had a really great hot mustard in addition to the typical cocktail sauce and I found myself constantly going back to it. The lobster Tempura I'm told was an old favorite and typically an "off menu item". Big fried lobster tails nestled over a huge onion ring. Accompanied by an aoli for the lobster and ranch dressing for the onion ring. This was a great appetizer. The grilled lemon went perfect with the lobster as well. Steak time! We both went with the 22oz bone-in Ribeye. Let me tell you something, we both ordered toppers but the steaks were seasoned so perfectly they weren't even necessary. I had the bourbon peppercorn sauce and my wife got the garlic butter. I'm glad we got them on the side because they were completely unnecessary. The chef nailed the seasoning and cooked them to temp perfectly. Coast to coast crust with incredible medium rare inside. This is a steak to brag about. For sides we shared the truffle fries and lobster Mac. The truffle fries were spot on perfect and the Mac n cheese was indulgent and delicious with good portions of that succulent lobster. I'm glad we gave the Mac n cheese another chance because this time around it was top tier. We finished the meal with the strawberry cheesecake and it was great way to cap off the meal. The restaurant is beautiful and I recommend getting a table upstairs if possible. The service from Robert, was exceptional the whole night. Laura and fellow manager Brian, both came by as well. I will say Laura is an absolute asset to the company. Her genuine care for the customer experience is really remarkable. Thank you for having us out, Laura. Met up with two friends for an early dinner at Del Frisco's, and we decided to sit at the bar. We started with the shrimp appetizer, which was tasty, and I had the salmon for my entrée, also really good. Here's the thing though... it was freezing inside. I'm all for a cool setting because it's hot and humid out, but this was next-level cold. I was so uncomfortable that I ended up rushing through my meal just so I could leave. Definitely not the vibe you want when you're trying to enjoy dinner with friends. Sadly, they couldn't alter the temp because I surely asked them to. I had dinner at Del Frisco's for a work meeting, which was overall a positive experience. I enjoyed most of the food and drinks, and the customer service was stellar. We had dinner reservations for 5:30pm on a Tuesday evening. This was my first time to any Del Frisco location. The place was your typical polished modern steakhouse, but the grand staircases also made the restaurant feel traditional. Gabby, our server, really went above and beyond. She was friendly and highly attentive. That said, I did think that our food took a while to arrive between courses. The time between our appetizers and main courses felt like forever. I had the pleasure of trying 3 cocktails: The VIP, Jailbird, and Premium Paloma. I could see why The VIP was their signature drink and most popular. I thought it was the tastiest of the 3. Jailbird was a nice, sweet cocktail. They used mezcal instead of tequila for the Premium Paloma, which added a smokiness to the Paloma that wouldn't normally be there. Do not skip on their table bread, which were like brioche buns. The pieces were pillowy soft and painted with butter. I tried a lot of items at dinner. Here were my impressions of each dish: Shanghai calamari (appetizer) - Great flavor because of the sweet & sour sauce. Not as crispy as I would've liked because it was drenched in the sauce. Sashimi (appetizer) - Basic. I would skip this next time. Shrimp cocktail (appetizer) - Why they say, "Everything is bigger in Texas." This dish puts shrimp cocktails elsewhere to shame. The shrimp were big and meaty. Loved that they deshelled the tail for you, so we got meat all the way to the tip of the tail. Grilled asparagus (side) - One of the side dishes but not your average asparagus. This was another "Everything is bigger in Texas" type of dish. The jumbo asparagus were perfectly al dente and had a light seasoning on top. Loved these as well. Creamed corn (side) - This was cool. Similar to creamed corns I've had elsewhere. Chateau mashed potatoes (side) - Had a spoonful of this. Fine side. Lobster Mac & Cheese (side) - Absolutely worth the splurge. The lobster was plentiful. Chilean sea bass (entree) - Very flavorful dish, but admittedly I've had better quality Chilean sea bass at other restaurants. I'm pretty sure that this was made from frozen. The edges were much flakier than the center, which didn't pull apart as easily. After leaving a venue on New Years Eve(absolutely horrid place), my sister and I, in our hangryness, called around for a restaurant that didn't have a prie fix menu. I am so glad we went to Del Friscos because the ambiance, service, and food was utterly fantastic! So, while the place was booked, there was room at the bar and we could just choose a high top............ so we just left the other venue for them sitting us at a high top when we didn't choose that seating. I dislike high top tables. However, the high top tables at Del Friscos were comfortable and classy. We ordered drinks. My sister got one called Land something and she loved it. Mine, of course, was a mocktail which included zero proof rum and orange and guava flavors. I It was really really good! When you get your drinks you get complementary milk bread rolls that had a sweet butter on them like a honey butter. They were absolutely warm and delicious! While I didn't want an appetizer, my sister can't turn down truffle fries. They bring out SO many in a bowl accompanied by ketchup. While I didn't want an appetizer, I ate a few of the fries and the were very tasty. They didn't have that strong truffle oil, theirs were light, crispy on the inside and soft on the inside. Pretty tasty! For dinner, since we are both trying to remain healthy, we shared the seabass with crab fried rice and a drizzle of some sauce and it was scrumptious! So delicious and palate pleasing! The seabass was seasoned well and those wonderful flakes of fish in my mouth was so juicy, tender, and hits your tongue with that delicious bring goodness. I'll definitely be back soon! We visited during Houston Restaurant Week. Be aware that parking is challenging; while there is free parking in the Galleria garages, it's a bit of a walk. We opted for the convenient $12 valet, which accepts cash or phone payment. The restaurant has a strict policy of not seating parties until more than half of the group has arrived, and our host was somewhat standoffish. However, this was quickly forgotten once we were seated. Our waiter was absolutely amazing and provided excellent suggestions that did not disappoint. We started with the creamy lobster bisque (though I wished for more lobster pieces) and the dynamite shrimp, which was tasty with a slight kick. For our mains, the filet mignon was perfect with an incredible crust, and the sesame-crusted ahi tuna was so tender it was like biting into a cloud. For dessert, the chocolate mousse in its edible cup was a delight, and the butter cake was perfectly rich with a wonderfully crusty exterior. But I was highly disappointed that we were charged $7 for the "celebration cake." I almost went to try Guard & Grace for the first time, but just felt like coming here, bc I missed this place and my last experience here was so good. Same again tonight. Like last time, I had the NY Strip (wet-aged) cooked cool rare and had a nice slice of that Lemon Cake for dessert. I also drank a cold, crispy, bitter Sauvignon Blanc with my steak. The meat was so well-seasoned, easy to cut but not mushy, blueish red inside with a great crust on top. Very delicious and consistent in every bite. The fattiness to beefiness proportion was ideal. The cake was very delicious, very soft, very moist and a perfect balance of tangy n sweet. The lemony layers n flour combo in the piece were balanced to make each other stand out. Valet available in front of restaurant which was perfect for a quiet Monday night while meeting a work associate who had hosted an event in Dallas of my fave yelper and was in Htown for a few hours. This steakhouse is elegant and romantic and is perfect for an intimate date night or celebration of a special occasion. The night we were there, the food was so good that it easily ranks as one of my top three meals in the year 2024. The crab cake was the best that I've had in a long time, simply because it was made with all fresh crab meat with no fillers. It was literally 100% shredded crab meat lumped into a cake. It was accompanied by a delicious Cajun lobster cream sauce and topped with a sprinkle of green onions. What an excellent appetizer to start the night! The ahi tuna was sesame crusted and seared on the outside while the inside was still completely rare like sashimi. The fish tasted very fresh and flavorful. The sliced fish sat on top of a refreshing daikon radish salad and the plate was garnished beautifully with wasabi emulsion. The filet mignon was well crusted with black pepper and seasonings on the outside and had a perfectly medium rare temperature inside. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, succulent, and carried a savory beefy flavor. For sides we ordered roasted broccolini and a blend of sautéed mushrooms, both of which were excellent. For dessert we indulged in a tiramisu crème brûlée that was sinfully good. A networking group of mine attended Del Frisco's for dinner and one of the waiters, Robert Rutherford, gave us the most professional, friendly, unobtrusive, and exceptional service I have had in years. I spent 5 years as a bartender at Houston's on Kirby in my college years and it KILLS me when service is underwhelming. Robert CARES. And that is something you CANNOT teach. He was there at every moment we needed him without having to ask, but never inserted himself in a single conversation as executives from various enterprise organizations discussed topics important to them. We chose Del Frisco to celebrate our anniversary. They have valet parking which is your best out as they are located in the Galleria area. We had reservations so we were seated immediately. They had a nice touch with a Happy Anniversary card signed by the staff on our table. My wife had a margarita with an extra shot of Grand Mariner and I had a Moscow mule drink. I had a wedge salad and she had crab cakes. She had sea Bass with Crab fried rice and I a filet mignon and we shared the Crawfish Mac and Cheese. We also shared a butter cake. Del Friscos has a reputation of being a great steakhouse. I will tell you, it didn't disappoint. The steaks were some of the best I've ever had. However, I will say, the steaks were bit overpriced compared to similar restaurants. For example, the bone in filet was about $100. This is just for the steak and not the sides! My only complaint is when the server asked if I wanted garlic butter on my steak I said no. I ended up receiving garlic butter anyway and was charged $12 extra for the butter! I won't hold this against the restaurant considering it was a server error. However, maybe management can inform servers to let guest know that it's an extra charge for things like butter. This does seem to be becoming standard practice in high end restaurants, but I can see how customers might become upset with all these extra charges. I believe that it would be a nice touch to just have these options with no charges. Restaurants like Taste of Texas do this and include other things like bread which I believe brings customers back. Anyways, the butter could have possibly made the steaks shine because they were absolutely delicious. I was surprised at how could a New York strip could taste. The crabcake was among the best in the city. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious and actually fairly priced considering how much other restaurants charge. There was a decent amount of lobster too, which was much appreciated. The butter cake was really good, but didn't make it to my top 5 dessert list or anything like that. I would be open to trying other desserts during my next visit to compare. The restaurant was beautiful and luxurious. They had some sort of live music entertainment which added to the experience. Service was good, besides the minor mistake with the extra $12 butter. Definitely get the butter though, because it was actually great tasting butter! Fair warning ladies if you fine upstairs there is lots of Mable stairs to walk. We started with a salad that looked and tasted delicious. Made reservations to celebrate a special birthday and this place did not disappoint! We were seated timely and everyone from the hostess to our waitress was very friendly. Food was amazing!! We started with the lobster bisque and the bread basket. Both were so delicious! I didn't expect the portions and almost got full off of those alone - I'll repeat the bread was SO good, we inhaled that pretty quickly and I wouldn't have been able to turn down a refill. We got the braised short rib and the 16oz bone-in ribeye. Both were very good and flavorful - ribeye outshined the short rib in terms of depth of flavor and how juicy it was. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Del Friscos and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. Soft lighting and tasteful decor create a relaxing environment for sure. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. Ughhh that bread was soooo good!! I'm not a seafood eater so I got the chicken which was only ok. The sides were delicious and my wife enjoyed her meal. Overall the service exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Got seated right away with reservation. Appetizers were great and out quick. Steak was cooked as ordered and the drinks were strong.

The food quality, service, and ambiance at Del Frisco's never dissappoints. I started the meal with lobster bisque... smooth, creamy, and flavorful. My 8oz Filet Mignon came from the kitchen perfectly seasoned and charred. Sides of crisp green beans and hand-mashed gold potatoes were served family style. We rounded the bases for a 5-star review with "Strawberry Hibiscus Cheesecake" (how haunty!) and coffee. The cheesecake had a well-defined crust and a sophistocated cake-like filling that was beautifully browned. The hubby took me here for our two year anniversary, I loved the inside. It had a very glamorous touch. Our server Ezekiel was by far the nicest, attentive server we have ever had. He made our night very nice. The staff even all signed a card for us on our special day. The food was great. We ordered the salmon , filet mignon, lobster Mac and cheese (to die for) and their yummy bread definitely hit the spot! Thanks guys read more
