I've been coming to this carryout for about two years. I only come here because it's convenient not because the food is good. They have $7 lunch special that comes with a free soda. It's only a 5 minute walk from my job so I can get there, pick up my food and get back to work in just a few minutes. The customer service is average. They aren't super friendly but they aren't rude. I haven't had any problems with the service. I've seen the lady who normally works the counter joke around with regular customers so that's nice. One thing that really bothers me is the fried rice. Now, I LOVE fried rice. For a long time I would have considered it to be my favorite food. Their's is just weird. The texture is a little off for my liking. It's also completely different than their white rice. I don't even like plain white rice but it's all I order now because the fried rice is just weird. Overall, it's an okay place. Ordered food on a whim since I was already in the shopping center. Went to pick up my order and was surprised at how chaotic and dirty it was in there. The food was just...okay. Apps: crispy spring roll and steak & cheese egg roll...flavorful. Main eats: I had the combination lo mein (w. Beef instead of pork) but opted not to get the veggies (carrots and celery) offered. The lo mein had a sweet smoke flavor that was...interesting! Won't get that again. The chicken in black bean sauce was decent. Chicken a bit airy/chewy so not sure I would get that again but the sauce was tasty enough where I would try other protein in the black bean sauce. Again, opted out of carrots, celery and cabbage but kept snow peas, peppers and onions in dish. They are great at adjusting the dish for your tastes. Steamed dumplings and sauce = solid. The show stopper...General Tso Chicken Wings!! Yaaaaas! Crispy, seasoned outside; moist, fall off the bone inside. General Tso sauce was good!! Sweet and spicy. Great texture and balance of flavor. Man, has a lot changed since I moved away from the area, which is about 10 years ago more of less. I don't know how they are still open. We were greeted by cockroaches and spiders while we waited for our food. I was ready to leave in a matter of minutes, but I was hoping the food would still be good, which is was... And then my mind wondered and I thought about whether or not a cockroach and/or spider has been accidentally cooked along with my food and my stomach and I agreed that we didn't want to finish the food. I left the left overs at my unsuspecting aunts house, who more than likely ate the food without a clue of what goes on inside the carryout. I ordered the daily Hunan special and 3 pc chicken wings using Uber eats and bruh I was highly disappointed. First off, I ordered shrimp as my "protein" option for the hunan special thinking I would get the large jumbo shrimp that typically come in any Chinese hunan shrimp and broccoli order...they used the small shrimp that typically go in shrimp fried rice as part of the special...very disappointing and it was not tasty either. The fried rice that came with it tasted very artificial and low quality and did not have a good flavor. The wing were okay. Dry but they tasted fine. I wouldn't order from here again. I only had food from here once and I've only tried the items listed in this post. Landover carryout is wayyyyy better. read more

Well were do I begin. Right to the shrimp I guess. I recently visited this location and was extremely disappointed in the cleanliness of the food. The shrimp was not deveined and it had a very gritty consistency. Can we say "Yuck!" The filleted fish sandwich and fries were good, but I will never order the shrimp again. Waste of $8.00.
