First time visiting Failoni's. As a family we were very impressed. The pizza was amazing, next time I hope to try the pastas, and would love to sit on the patio if available. We went around 4:00 on a Saturday before a Cardinals Cubs game, it was also raining and they had a wedding on the patio. We did not have a reservation, they were packed and had sold-out reservation for the next two hours. BY THE SERVICE, ONCE SEATED YOU WOULD NEVER HAD KNOWN IT! I've wanted to try this place for a long time. So glad I finally did. My brother and I had a pepperoni pizza and a deluxe, both were good. Especially the pepperoni. Loved the flaky crust and cheese. The wings were awesome, but the zucchini sticks were just ok. Seemed like frozen bagged veggies and not fresh. Service was good. Amy was really nice and efficient as well. What a fun place to have dinner! After a long day of meetings, I took my team out for pizza and beverages. We were greeted at the door by a gentleman who was so accommodating, offering us his last outdoor table. However, we're a bunch of wimps and said, let's do inside. We ordered the mini cannelloni and garlic cheese bread for apps. I love my St Louis toasted raviolis, but oh my goodness! These mini cannellonis were amazing. Crisply fried, with a perfect ratio of pasta to filling, think overstuffed raviolis. Served with marinara, it was hard to eat just one, and I barely had time to get a pic before they disappeared! The garlic cheese bread was thick and cheesy, full of provel gooeyness. But let's talk St Louis style pizza... I'm an IMO's fan (don't be haters) but this pizza is beyond delicious. The perfect, thin and cracker crisp crust topped with your choice of provel, mozzarella, or a special blend. PizzaBabble is right! The absolute best! Only downside is that it didn't travel well. So crispy and delish at the restaurant, but the leftovers I was taking to my hubby lost that crunch driving home in the box. Going to try to reheat in the oven or air fryer next to recapture that perfection. He's got to experience it for himself. I didn't get a picture, but he loved the Italian sub I brought for him. This place definitely has great pizza. I like that you can get it with provel or mozzarella. You can also choose between a white or red sauce. Went to dine here on a beautiful Friday afternoon on the patio. This place was completely full. Somehow my wife and I was missed by the waitress and sat patiently for about 35 minutes without putting in a food order. I waved at the owner Joey and he came over and took great care of us. Immediately got us drinks and put in food order to the kitchen. With in minutes, he came out with salads and refills on our drinks. French dip sandwich came out hot and fresh. Shortly after a delicious StL style pizza. After that he stopped by again and apologized and told us lunch was on him. Now I know why this place was so busy and full of happy customers. My husband and I stumbled on Failoni's one day on our way home from the zoo. While from the street it looks like a hole in the wall, they have the most amazing back patio to sit at. The staff is so kind and attentive as well. The best part though is the food!! We have tried various dishes on the menu and they have all been amazing. From appetizers to dessert, it's all good! This is a must go if you're in the area. Dimly lit, music playing, feels old school. It's just a vibe. We ordered the toasted rav, buffalo wings, house salad, and a pizza. Everything was super super solid. The toasted rav were hot and fresh. The buffalo wings were super saucy without being soggy BUT one thing to note. This isn't a traditional buffalo wings sauce so if that is what you are wanting this may not be what you want to order. It very much has a Buffalo flavor but has a sweetness to it - just something to keep in mind. The pizza was cooked perfect. Crispy edges. Not soggy or falling apart from the density of the toppings. I visited here for the first time this week. I must say it was delicious, I've tried Uncle Leo's in the past and I them very much as well. I called my pizza in and I waited around 10 mins after I arrived. It came out pipping hot, my toddler and I enjoyed it. On Friday, January 9, 2026, my girlfriend and I had dinner at Failoni's. The restaurant was packed. We sat at the bar because of that. During dinner, my girlfriend excused herself to go to the restroom. As she made her way to the facilities, she missed the step separating the bar from the dining area and rolled her ankle very hard. For anyone unfamiliar with the layout of that restaurant, that step is easy to miss. She fell to the floor. An employee helped her get to her feet by lifting her up off the ground under her arms before she realized herself what had just happened. As he did so, he told her that he was used to pulling drunks off the floor who had fallen because of that step. Unbeknownst to either my girlfriend or I, there is a small sign by the step that feebly attempts to draw attention to the drop-off between the bar and dining areas. Based upon what the employee told my girlfriend-that he is used to people falling-that step is completely ineffectual at providing patrons a warning of the dangers presented by that separation or step between the bar and restaurant. My girlfriend was sober when she fell. The employee's remark that he had picked up many drunks off the floor was more than insensitive, but a little offensive. My girlfriend eventually returned to where I was seated and relayed to me what had happened to her on the way to the bathroom. She began to cry because of the pain she felt. I had to ask Max for the check. I was surprised by how long it took the employees to provide us with the check while my girlfriend was audibly and visibly in distress. We left the restaurant and went to the ER due to the pain she was in as a result of the fall. X-rays and analyses were undertaken to address the trauma to her ankle. She was placed in an air boot and advised to seek additional care at a foot trauma and orthopedic center in Chesterfield, Missouri. The next morning, bruises appeared on her arms where the Failoni's employee had picked her up to lift her off the ground. Wanting to make sure that Failoni's was aware of the severity of her injuries and her desire to make sure that they did something more than put up a sign that they admittedly know does not mitigate the risk of injury to customers, my girlfriend reached out to Failoni's via the email listed on their website. They replied to her by email telling her to get a hold of Joey and gave her a phone number. She left multiple voicemails, all of which were never returned. She also wrote additional emails to Failoni's, none of which were responded to beyond the initial email telling her to speak with Joey. While the food is excellent, the level of care they provide customers is shameful and their responsiveness to dangers knowingly presented inside their restaurant is extremely disappointing. read more

Failoni's is one of my favorite restaurants. The service is always excellent and the staff is friendly and attentive. The pizza is the best! They offer provel, mozzarella or a blend of the two, and the crust is thin & crispy. The salads, flash fried spinach and garlic bread are also great items. They get very busy, especially on weekends so I recommend making a reservation. I highly recommend stopping by for a drink (lemon drop martini is awesome) and excellent food! read more

I have yet to visit in person, but I've been ordering delivery from Failoni's for most of the year. All their food is amazing and has consistently been delivered so quickly that it's still warm and crispy when it arrives. For starters, I've tried their garlic cheese bread and the zucchini sticks. Both are scrumptious. The zucchini sticks are fried with a seasoned breading and served with a juicy homemade mariana sauce which has tomato chunks in it. The entrees we've tried are the spaghetti, pizza, and their pork tenderloin sandwich. The spaghetti comes piled high with two meatballs. There's plenty of flavor in the meat sauce and the meatballs; it tastes like it was simmering all day. The pizza in Saint Louis is a controversial topic I've learned over the years of living here. Failoni's has one of the best pizzas in the area, and I find nearly any pizza better than that one place... you know the one. Here again, Failoni's has a sauce not unlike the flavorful meat sauce of their pasta. I love my cheese - which is also why their garlic cheese bread is so divine- and this is a pizza where you need not order extra cheese to make sure it's there. There's no order in which I've described these Italian delectables because how could I rank them? The pork tenderloin sandwich which they call their Italian Steak. I'll admit, despite their solid reputation and outstanding food, I was unsure how this sandwich would be. Pleasantly surprised that it was so tender and the combination of cheese, juicy marinara, and the fresh soft bread with crunchy exterior from being toasted. Started with side salad, that was sized like an entree; fresh and well dressed with yummy house Mayfair dressing. I decided to try the pizza and ordered the Joey...hamburger, onion and jalapeños. They obligingly put jalapeños on just one side. I've eaten a lot of pizza and must say this was the best ever! Loved the crust, so thin and crispy; the tomato sauce was chunky, more like a fresh marinara. Toppings were generous and baked to perfection. We sat on the tented patio today. The service was excellent but a little slow. Didn't bother us because we had nowhere else to be. I think two servers handled the entire place with help from the owners. Our table started with onion rings to share. The large order was breaded and crispy thick cut rings. Italian sandwich ordered cold, slaw, steak sandwich, fries, chicken Parm, and white pasta. Each item was excellent. The slaw was homemade and wet. Portions are large. Hole-in-the wall, family-run, no-frills restaurant that has been around since 1916. Huge patio, but inside is tiny! There is a bar and a very limited number of tables. Their was live music the night I came, which made for a great atmosphere. Known for their brick-oven pizzas, but when I went I got the pretzel bites appetizer and a cheeseburger with fries. The pretzel bites were amazing! I would come back for these alone. The burger was pretty good quality but extremely overcooked and dry, and the fries were pretty basic as well.
