I came here to celebrate a friends 40th birthday and had high expectations since it was located in the Four Seasons and boy did EDGE live up to those expectations. This place is beyond classy, and we were able to get a private room in the back. The service was great, and the food was amazing. The Lump Crab Cake was awesome and the Petite Filet Mignon was delicious. I also come from Chicago so I know a good steak when I taste one. If you're looking for a fancy night out, there is your place. read more

To be honest: the first picture on Yelp was a salivation-worthy shot of the toffee sticky pudding and I was sold. And they're on AAA's national best restaurants. They're located in the Four Seasons downtown, free valet parking. Our expectations weren't terribly high from our hotel restaurant experiences but they were blown away. Our server was Toby who was clearly enthusiastic about his job and the food, with good taste for pairings. He helped us narrow down the vast menu; we went with the dry age pork chop and the tamari glazed salmon. Both were delicious: the pork chop was an awesome well-cooked cut of meat with a sweet and spicy glaze and smashed potatoes with crispy edges, the salmon was indescribably flavorful with wasabi mashed potatoes and a tasty stack of mushrooms. Of course we finished with the sticky toffee pudding which lived up to my expectations. The Stranahan's whiskey ice cream was a subtle touch. We were celebrating our anniversary and EDGE really made us feel special with a free dessert with handwritten "Happy Anniversary!" and a lovely box of chocolates. read more

Idk where to even start with Edge! I planned a surprise birthday dinner here while in town for vacation and everything ran so smoothly from making reservations to paying at the end. When I called to make the reservations and to let them know it was for a birthday they immediately asked if I needed help with anything to make it a great birthday. I was unsure what it was that I needed and they put me on the phone with Rebecca, there guest relations and she gave me several ideas on what they could do. I went with having a small bouquet of flowers brought out after we ordered our drinks/meals. And you simply give your card information and they order them and have them delivered to the restaurant. So, I pull up to Four Seasons Hotel (restaurant located inside) and valet and I find out that it's free valet if you are there for the restaurant just have to get it validated which was awesome! Valet driver gave us recommendations and directions to the restaurant. Upon entering the hostess took my name and immediately told my partner happy birthday and directed us to our seats as I slid her a birthday card to have brought out with the flowers. The waitress went above and beyond as well. We knew we wanted a bottle of champagne and had idea which one so she brought us out different samples and allowed us to try until we found the perfect one which was a Rosè. Food wise: we ordered Spanish grilled octopus for appetizer, it was great presentation but not my fav dish. It was too grilled that almost gave a burnt taste. You do get bread and butter as well. For entree we had the dry age bone in ribeye with scallops topping and the 10oz filet mignon with chimichurri sauce and side of lobster Mac and cheese. As far as the steaks go, they were probably the best steaks I've ever had. The filet was so tender the knife cut right through it easily and the chimichurri gave all the extra seasoning/flavor I was looking for. The ribeye was grilled to perfection and the scallops were big and juicy. The Mac could have used a little bit more salt and pepper but it either way I couldn't complain about it due to the fact that there was plenty of lobster pieces in it. Now the dessert was phenomenal. I loved the whiskey ice cream that came with it, it was perfect with the toffee taste and it was complimentary due to us celebrating a birthday. Have tried Edge on a random Saturday night with few friends. To start with, we have reserved a table via Open Table and we got to EDGE were told we will have to wait 15-20 minutes which surely turned into 45 -1 hour wait before we got to sit a table. We have been offered a glass of sparkling wine but surely enough it was the worst compliment ever. We have ordered then shrimp appetizer and 2 steaks/ salmon entry with order of sides. I have no complains about steak as it was truly delicious, but appetizer of 10 shrimps that had no taste and sides (mash potatoes, Brussels sprouts and mash rooms) where nothing special. Now entry doesn't come with the sides so each costed about $10-$15. We have spend about $250 for 3 people and have left not satisfied. read more

This restaurant is definitely a delicious option if you want to enjoy an incredible dinner. Of course the expectation was that it would be good considering that it's the Four Seasons Hotel, but the food was not the only thing that impressed. Starting with the greeting when getting there, but the waitress was attentive and not intrusive. She was more than willing to provide suggestions if requested to do so and made sure our food was prepared in a reasonable time. The restaurant was not too crowded, which made it a more comfortable and intimate atmosphere. They have an extensive selection of wines and you select them with the IPad that they provide. Fabulous! My family and I ate here for Mother's Day. The food is presented beautifully and is something to behold with one's eyes before the first bite. We had two different salads, their version of a wedge and a beet. Yum! We all ordered the Chilean Seabass and were not disappointed. The curry sauce it was accompanied with was fantastic. As sides we enjoyed the cauliflower and broccolini very much. Our waiter was very personable and though it was a busy evening, never seemed rushed or harried. I have trouble saying no to buying alcohol, thus resisting FREE alcohol is nearly impossible. Can you guess what happened when I spotted a Yelp deal for one free cocktail while strolling by this swanky spot at 4:30 PM? I found myself perched in front of the super efficient bartender who whipped up some solid drinks to quench my parched liver. Out of the four concoctions I tried, the English Gentleman and Autumn Mule were my favorites. Food is obviously insignificant when in the company of cocktails, so I opted for the hummus, which seemed like the lightest option on the half-off happy hour menu. I was expecting something pedestrian, but it turned out to be incredible. Definitely a good use of my daily calorie allocation, next to liquor. read more

While the bottomless mimosas are a steal, the food is pricey at close to $20 for simple breakfast dishes. Free valet is a nice plus, since parking in the area is tricky. Vegan options are non-existent, which is why I can't give a higher rating. In a Four Seasons restaurant where they get clients from all religions and nationalities, they must be able to accommodate better for various dietary needs. They did have soy milk for my coffee and gluten-free toast on request. They also substituted avocado for sausage, but I was still forced to eat eggs for lack of options. Brunch vibe was very quiet and there weren't many people, so if you're looking for a more happening place this isn't it. read more

I am surprised I have not reviewed this place previously because I have been here 4 times now. In the past, I would have given the restaurant 5 stars, but this time I was a little disappointed with the service/cost. I went for a friends birthday dinner so we were in one of the private rooms. First, the good. The hot stone appetizer of wagyu beef is out of this world yummy and I do really like red meat. The crab cakes were pretty good, but small. For an entre, I got the veggie option which was English Pea Risotto but I had them add salmon. Honestly, it was probably the best salmon I have ever had because it was cooked to perfection. The risotto was tasty with these wonderful pearl onions in it. The sides to share there were green beans in some sort of sauce, I do not see it on their menu, but they were very good!!! Overall, the food was really good. Now for the not so good. It took upwards of 30 to 45 minutes to get drinks. We constantly had to look for wait for our waitress to return to the room for whatever we needed. By the time she came back to ask how our dinner was, most of us had already finished. It was at this point that someone mentioned the sauces. They were brought a couple of minutes later, but we had all finished already. Some people were able to take it with their leftovers but it was an oversight. She brought all of our checks but had to redo many of them because she got them wrong. Mine she had to redo twice because she put drinks on my bill that I did not order. For those using a card, Edge has a little handheld machine that was confusing and hard to use. Instead of staying at the table to help us with this device, the waitress dropped it off and left the room. Keep in mind that as a private party your bill is a minimum of $110 for each person, and as most businesses do for large parties, the tip was included. This meant that I gave the waitress 24 dollars for sub-par service and had no option to reflect my dissatisfaction. She and whomever she had to tip out received over $500 bucks for 2.5 hours of bad service. I would have given her half that if it had been based on actual service. If we were not her only table the business needs to reconsider the pricing for large parties. If we were her only table then wow she needs some training. read more

Here's a fun little social experiment... Show up to a restaurant bar during the day without makeup on and in casual clothes... We had just arrived back from rafting and made a quick change in our room upstairs before heading down to the bar. We were absolutely starving and needing libations. I put on a super casual sundress with sandals and tied my hair back. Definitely not my best look but by no means was I a "scrub". Hubby donned cargo shorts and a t shirt. Now... enter icy blond waitress. Wait and wait and wait as she continues to ignore you for your order (the place was dead) and then when she actually talks to you, you can actually see the disdain on her face and in her voice. Eat some good nibbles of sliders and egg rolls. Have a couple cocktails. Contend with same icy blonde's major attitude. She was so rude I thought I was being punked. Now go back many hours later, dressed to the nines in formal wear and see what kind of response you get from the same waitress. Night and freakin' day. At first she didn't even recognize us. Top notch service. A little ass kissing, even. And then she realizes we're the same people she snubbed earlier. Wow. Now queue the majorly embarrassed looks... We did however eat in the restaurant a day earlier for lunch and it was fantastic. I had the club sandwich and it was very good. Instead of the regular elements it had chicken schnitzel and boar's bacon. Hubby had the steak and macaroni cheese balls. Those puppies were so hot they were damn near nuclear. But soooo good! Great service. Not horribly overpriced for a nice hotel restaurant. I had to mention the incident with the icy blond waitress though. It was just way too much to let go. read more

The level of Ed Hardy douchery that graces Edge, however, serves as an occasional reminder not to take it to that next level. This is my second time staying at The Four Seasons, but my first time eating here. I sat at the bar and ordered (from the full menu) the quinoa risotto with peas and I chose to add scallops. I paired this with a nice dry Prosecco. My food came out fairly quickly and as you can see from the attached picture, it looked and smelled fabulous. The scallops were cooked to perfection, even Gordon Ramsey would have been impressed. The reason I only gave four stars is the risotto was over salted to the point it took away from the enjoyment of my meal. I will give it another go the next time I am in town, and I am sure I will not be disappointed. read more

I love meals that leaves me thinking about it the next day. My dinner at EDGE has got to be one of my better fine dining experience.Yes, I had paid more at other places and left rather disappointed. This place is phenomenal from the exquisite decor, to the service, to the food; the whole dining experience was unique and wonderful. It was my first time ever in which I chose my drink from an iPad. They have their entire drink menu on an iPad and they handed them out nonchalantly. They also give you a choice on which steak knife you would like to use. However, their steak is so tender and soft that you could probably use a butter knife to cut through it. This place is seriously so ahead in the fine dining game. Not to mention, you're given complimentary chocolate lollipops after your meal. Moreover, it is in the Four Seasons hotel so you should not expect nothing less. My boyfriend and I had a date night here last weekend. No special occasion other than that we like to eat. We started off with the ahi tuna on hot rocks. It was such a fun experience to cook your meal on hot rocks and the aroma of the fish searing is to die for. The truffle ponzu for the ahi was also so amazing; probably our favorite item of the night. We also ordered the porterhouse for two and two share sides: crispy mac'n'cheese and the wood grilled sweet corn. The porterhouse was perfectly grilled and had a nice dry rub to it. Both sides were quite phenomenal. Definitely like nothing I had before. My favorite out of the two was the sweet corn. I like citrus things and it had a nice limey taste. I was so very satisfied with my meal/experience. I cannot wait to come here again; maybe, I will try their brunch. read more

Happy hour review. The bar/restaurant is situated in the four seasons hotel. Looks very fancy shmancy and gets pretty crowded during happy hour. The waitresses are attractive, scantily clad, wearing tight short dresses. Service is good, but don't expect a conversation or anything haha. You get your order in and your water filled. I had the happy hour flank steak which came with a pepper on top and a green dipping sauce. The steak itself had decent flavor and was medium rare as I asked but was quite small at maybe 8 Oz and was lukewarm. The dipping sauce was very flavorful though I'm not quite sure what it was made of. I'm pretty sure I could have cooked a better steak on my own though which is kind of my bar for a nice place that claims itself to be steakhouse. I also had the lobster Mac and cheese. It had nice 1-2cm chunks of lobster but the cheese that was used didn't have any flavor or character to it really. Didn't taste like anything. Overall the meal cost me about 30ish without an alcoholic beverage so I'm not sure if it was a great value for happy hour. I've had better. I could think of many more places to spend my money. Maybe if there was more flavor and complexity to the dishes I'd be back but I can't really say I'd recommend it at this point. Cheers. read more

The fact that I returned here for the second night in a row is a clear indication of the strength of of my impression of this establishment. First night was beef and second night pork. I'm waiting for my entree now but I'm certain it won't disappoint. If I'm wrong I'll update later (smile). Last night's meal was exceptional! Wine, dry aged ribeye and a wonderful pork belly app to start. I will not repeat the cake/sorbet combo I ordered last night this go around. Not because it was awful simply because my sweet tooth is rather heavy and it was a bit too floral and berry like for my dessert tastes. Went to the Edge for my wife's Birthday dinner with friends. As pointed out in other reviews the decor is amazing and the wine selections is just as spectacular. The four seasons website describes it as causal dress, however, I think it is a little more upscale than that. We started with a great Cabernet from Trefethen vineyards in Napa. That was followed by the blueberry venison sausage (I know...it sounds disturbing but it was wonderful). The pace of service and attention to those of us at the table was impeccable. Most of use ordered some kind of grilled beast; mine happened to be their signature Buffalo Ribeye. Cooked perfectly this cut of meat was tender and seasoned with the house rub. Sides are small and given the portion size of meat perfect. I grew up on the West Coast with San Francisco Sourdough bread...so bread for me can be a spiritual event at times (I'm a carb freak). The bread was one of those experiences. I may have to go back for a bottle of wine and a meal of bread! This was one of the best food experiences I have had in a long time. Matt had contacted the manager about the raspberry situation, which we later started calling it the "2018 Great Raspberry Famine" and everyone was searching the hotel for raspberries. I finally asked Matt what was going on. He told me about the raspberry shortage and asked the manager over to personally apologize to me for the lack of raspberries. It was so adorable to me. Of course, had I known, I would have just switched drinks to something else. But the sheer determination to make my stay the best possible, is exactly the difference between subpar and TRUE EXCELLENCE. By the way, they found raspberries for me, and I probably had another few Martinis. In addition, I also had a few snacks off the menu, including the fries. Even the fries weren't just fries, they were served with a delicious original aioli sauce. SUPERB! I also tried the lobster mac & cheese. OMG YUMMY! There wasn't one part of the experience that wasn't perfect. The whole visit was OUTSTANDING! The review I didn't want to give. I have been going to the Edge for years and it's always been 5 stars. I recently went for brunch and it was the worst. The waiter took 9+ minutes to get us water. He had a attitude and acted like we were doing hike favor. The bloody was water down with ice. The steak and eggs Ames's mild as the steak was low grade steak but prepared perfectly. My wife felt the same way about the sliders not good. Overall I think the edge has lost its edge and just because it in 4 seasons hotel doesn't mean it's good. My experience at Edge was phenomenal. I started with the Fall Apple and Avocado Salad. The honey lime dressing with the toasted grains hit every note on my pallet! The perfect way to begin a great meal. For my entree I had the Dover Sole, recommended my amazing server Micheal. It was delicate and the almond butter sauce really brought it all together. Great suggestion! I love chocolate so I ended my dining experience with the Valrhona Chocolate Cake paired with Penfolds Grandfather Tawny (pictured below). This place is very posh and the food is amazing. The restaurant seems very loud when it's crowded... bad design for noise? However, the staff has been nice on the times I've visited and are attentive. Now, most people look at menus before ordering (I know I do) but be prepared for these prices to hit your wallet pretty hard. Don't act all shocked when the ticket arrives. Edge is a very underrated value for the quality and product you get. The service is always top notch. The food preparation is done well and generous portion sizes. I've come here for numerous brunches, lunches and dinners and always have an enjoyable experience. Theirs plenty in the menu to fit the picky and health continue folks. I must say, their brunch is one of the best values in town. Their private rooms are really great for a small private dinner. At night the bar gets a little hoppin'. I see that my last review was deleted so I am here to post once more. If I could I would give this place ZERO STARS!!! Came here for a special occasion, my birthday. Spoke with Sarah to make reservations, a month ahead of time by the way. When we came at 8pm they didn't have one for us and told us to go the bar with my large group. Luckily we were able to grab a large high top. Already frustrated with how we are being treated. Took us over an hour to get any type of service. My first drink came after 9. We have two different servers and they basically neglected us. I Order the hot rock for my appetizer which was amazing but I couldn't finish because they would not bring me another hot rock- I asked two different times with two different servers. They wanted to ask if I wanted a new rock me when we finished paying. Next I ordered the ribeye with the jalapeños on the side for my main meal and that was delicious. The last part that made this experience so HORRIFIC is that they all gave us an extra charge that we did not order- assumed it was someone's drink that they mixed up on. But come to find out they charged every person an extra $15 (my group was 20 people) I only found out the next day because we had separate checks. I believed the servers were ordering drinks on our tabs for themselves and basically got away with it. Then they also tried to hide the added on gratuity so we would double tip for the WORST service ever! This place is so UNETHICAL!!!! The food here is great but the service and management needs a LOT of work! We are young but we too have money and should be treated better!
