The food is sooooo good! Had to wait a bit, but totally worth it! My kids love it as well!

Don't let the name of this restaurant fool you. This is some of the best Mediterranean food in the Bay Area. All the dishes are made fresh & the servings are large. I'm not a vegetarian, but the meatless dishes are amazing, from the falafel to the lentils & rice, ( it has a much prettier name, but a don't want to mangle it) . I've been on a calorie counting weight loss program and I've had no problems working a large part of their menu into my program. I just take half of the dish home. And, if you've ever been on a diet, you know what a treat it is to find healthy, really tasty food for lunch that is close to work. This is also a family owned & run restaurant & they treat you just like family. The 2nd time I went in, they already knew me by name. It's easily my favorite lunch place. read more

I will be going back here. The food was good quality . I had the Chicken Kotto. I liked it, but the white sauce was kind of bland. It was lacking some flavor or there was not enough. Is I sit here and smell this pizza (gourmet veggie) that i am heating up in my little toaster from 5 days ago I feel the need to share with you how good it was. The crust is not too thin not too thick and everything on it was fresh and loaded. I also got some buffalo wings which were really good and the sauce (I like mine on the side) it was poppin. The establishment was very clean and had good energy. The menu was big I will definitely be gong back to this place. Well gotta go my 5 day pizza is ready and it's even better ...like soup! This is the place people!!!!!!! They have it all. From yummy cheesy pizza & melt-in-your mouth burgers to freshly made Middle Eastern cuisines. It really doesn't get any better than that, I mean I just doesn't. The staff is so welcoming & really know how to make the customers feel at home. The atmosphere is just all around perfection. Prices are so so responsible for such great quality food like wow. Honestly, if I could give this place 10 golden stars , I really would... And I very rarely say that, especially on Yelp. Amazing food. We ordered kabob mix platter, chicken shawarma platter, beef shawarma platter, mix aperitifs, falafel and chicken shawarma wrap. And Every single dish we ordered was outstanding. The owners are always present and so generous with the portions. We also had kunafeh for desert and it was out of this world. An outstanding place to eat. I'm usually a skeptic when it comes to restaurants that try to specializes in multiple cuisines.I always think the food is going to be mediocre just because they trying to do too much. Edgewater Pizza is one reason why I should liberate myself from such thoughts. I gave it a shot because it is close to my house and man I'm glad I did. The pizza here tastes very fresh and delicious . I use fresh to describe it because I think it just tastes a lot more fresh than a chain pizza joint .The Mediterranean food here us really good too. You know the little salad a lot of Mediterranean places give you with your meal? This place has the best one .All the times I've had it , it was very fresh. I've been to more expensive Mediterranean places on Fremont Blvd, that serves you day old salad. Another awesome thing about this place ? The workers are super nice. The lady that takes my order is always very sweet and helpful. The only reason why I didn't give this place 5 stars is because of the sweet calzone. I read yelped reviews of how amazing it is with all kinds of fruits and this and that , but when I tried it , mine came with not fruits , but fruit . I really love their Shawarma Platter. One time I came in right when they were closing and they informed me that they were out of rice. They offered the Shawarma platter with fries to substitute the rice, I was a little disappointed but figured I'd make it work anyway. Ladies and Gentlemen, this was better than Carne Asada Fries, it has changed my life! The cream sauce that comes with most of their dishes is delicious. The staff's really friendly and I also enjoy their pizza by the slice. I haven't had their regular pizza because I generally like thin crust pizza and I'm not sure if they offer this! I love Edgewater Pizza! They have a great variety of food. I love the choices. My usual order is the Chicken Kabobs or a slice of Combo pizza. Both items are delicious! Especially, the garlic sauce, rice and salad that comes with the Chicken Kabobs! My coworkers and I eat at Edgewater at least two times a week. Their calzones and fries are also yummy! The family that owns the place is absolutely wonderful!! It's always a delight to converse with them. They always remember my name which just goes to show how much they care for their patrons! Nice little spot just off the 92 right before the San Mateo bridge. I've only been here a few times but will continue coming back regularly. I'm a big fan of their chicken kebab platter, which comes w/rice, pita bread, and vegetables. The chicken kebab is fresh, tasty, and succulent. I've yet to try the beef kebab but it's only a matter of time. They also offer pizza by the slice, burgers, and calzones. I'll have to update this review once I've tried the other times. The service is great, there's plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, and prices are reasonable. The vegetarian lasagne was too watery and runny. The good thing is they do have the option and if you order ahead of time they can make it. Wish they baked it longer or had it planned in the morning so they did not have to hurry up and leave it watery. The portion was very small for $11 total. read more

I was excited to think I might have a good pizza parlor nearby my home. I used their online order system and they even had a space for special requests. SO I ordered the pizza and paid for it, with the request for lite sauce and extra crispy(so the cheese is brown). I even called and spoke to a man who assured me that they would do it. I should have been suspicious when he didn't ask too many questions. when the pizza arrived (delivery was quick) and I opened the box...It was not even well done. everything was soft including the crust(nasty soggy). I called back and spoke to the man again. he stopped me and told me that to him it was done enough to him. After a few moments I just told him I would leave this review. What a rude and nasty man. The pizza was the worst I have ever had. absolutely flat and soggy. even after I baked it myself it was bad. then to put up with a rude dude too? I dont think so...DOnt ever eat here. from the manner they spoke and the poor ingredients and service, I dont even think they clean before they cook. read more

Edgewater Pizza is my favorite place to go for pizza not only because of the pizza but because they have plates as well as other things omg the menu. Their wings are so good the sauce is the best.
