For this price range ~$100 per person I would assume a higher bar. It's not the outcome that matters but how the guest feels after the experience. Was money happily spent should be the question they ask. I would have preferred an apology from the head chef. When I'm spending $100 per person I get best wishes from the waitstaff and a healthy pour of champagne for celebratory drinks on the house to start off the experience. This is common practice and expected. An extra dessert only after we ordered dessert falls flat and seems meaningless. It should have been delivered before we were asked if we wanted desserts. Offering after we ordered desserts makes me feel they wouldn't have given anything if we didn't spend money on desserts already. There was a possible step to save the service delivery when they were out of ice wine - comp the port - which wasn't done either. Many blunders with the service but I would go back - not for special occasions, though. Maybe just for business lunches - less personal experiences would be acceptable. I chose not to complain during the dinner because it was my daughter's 16th birthday, and I did not want to disrupt her special celebration.
