When I called and asked for status, man answered the phone and merely said, "all orders are out for delivery." Then I said there status shows 10 stops away for two hours. We placed an order on Monday for Friday to be delivered for a party, we get a call at 5:40pm (40 mins after the store closed) left a message saying they can't deliver it today but will be done on Monday at no additional charge! My recipient got a call before ours stating it would be delivered today. I called the store today, talked to the assistant manager and got a whole different story and still have to wait until Monday! The assistant manager gave my husband 2 different stories as to why we didn't have delivery yesterday. I've never had an experience like this before and we still don't have an ETA for delivery or compensation. What a way to do business - and before the holiday season to boot. I love ordering from Edible Arrangements for various types of occasions. I usually pick up the order from my local store, but this time, I asked for it to be delivered. The delivery was not made until 5:00pm, which I find rather late in the day when I ordered it the day before. The party who I was sending it to was not home, but fortunately, because it was for a neighbor a few doors down, when I saw the Edible Truck, I ran over to take the arrangement and give it to her myself. (Payed $14.99 delivery charge for nothing). If deliveries are not made until late in the day, I will continue to pick up my orders. read more

I placed an order for pickup on 6/16, the actual day of my friend's birthday. I ordered a birthday box with chocolate and confetti covered strawberries, pineapples, and candles. Also, in the box was supposed to be chocolate covered Oreos, pretzels and graham crackers. When I arrived to pickup my order I received a box of 12 chocolate covered strawberries. I expressed to the lady working at the time that this order was wrong. The store was due to close in 30 minutes and the lady said it would take another 45 mins to prepare the correct box. I asked her what else could be done. She said she would communicate the issue to the manager the next morning. She offered me a balloon and was really helpful. After experiencing this, I thought back to another order I placed with EA for a delivery in San Diego, CA. I immediately called my friend and asked had she received the correct order I had placed for her. To my surprise, she hadn't. So I called customer service to inform them of the current issue and the previous issue. They helped me and sent out a claim on my behalf to each of the store's I had an issue with. Originally I wasn't going to leave this review because I did get my issue resolved but while getting my issue resolved I communicated to the store manager here in RVA, a lady who's name I did not get. Our communication was good at first but she became frustrated with processing my refund and even said "This is taking up too much time", as if my issue wasn't important enough for her to spend time fixing. Throughout the conversation she came across pretty rude and snarky stating that I should've just waited until the next morning to call her because customer service was going to call her anyway. I informed that I didn't wait because I was also calling about another issue and that I assumed customer service would have the power to fix my issue immediately. I had no idea each store is independently owned and issues are resolved by the store owners. Ultimately, this store manager could improve her communication skills and also not try to force upon someone the ways she thinks the customer should've handled their issue. read more

I ordered on 5/15 which is not a holiday for delivery on the same day and my purchase was still not delivered. I called numerous times and customer service and Luke advised that the receiptian was going to receive the item before they close. This was a graduation gift and couldn't be delivered on time. I asked for a refund and the associate was not properly trained to do so. I should have been made aware that the delivery was not going to be able to be made the date I requested and paid for so I could've ordered from another company instead I was lied too. I placed an order online for delivery in the morning for that day. My credit card was charged immediately. The gift was for a 65th birthday. I had not heard from the recipient so I called the store at the end of the next day and was told that the order had not gone out yet. If the store was unable to make the delivery on the requested date, they should have told me when I placed the order or shortly afterwards. I should not have to call to follow-up. Their excuse was that they were very busy. I have a feeling that they won't have this problem much longer given this level of service. Their products are very expensive so the service should be excellent. I used the contact me page on the website and filed a complaint. When I filed the complaint, the web page said that the information would be sent to the store. I already spoke with the store. I won't be ordering from the store or the website. Sent an arrangement to my wife for our Anniversary and when se received it the fruit was mushy. It wasn't the heat because it was February. Not only was the fruit unacceptable but they never delivered my entire order. They left off the teddy bear and balloons. I feel as though I am pretty reasonable, so I called to them calmly and explained the situation. The young lady "helping" me was rude from the moment the phone was picked up. We had to late deliveries. The first one came a day after its original scheduled date which was not my husband's birthday. The second one never arrived and when my mom called them for the third time a manager was not available. The excuse was that the driver didn't have the correct number and he was to "inpatient" to deliver if he did not get an answer so now he is scheduled to deliver it tomorrow. I ordered a "Shari's Berries" package on February 12th a full two days before Valentine's Day. I placed the order for pick-up at 5pm on the 14th and since it was Valentine's Day I waited until 6pm to stop by the store on Midlothian Drive. Big mistake! When I arrived the line was out the door. After going up to the line and observing progress, I was told there was a "list" inside to put my name on and I would be helped in order that my name appeared on the list. There were lot's of people running around in the back and the one girl managing the counter was totally lost. To make a long story short my order was still not ready on the next day when I called at 4pm to see if I could pick it up then. I ordered $90 worth of fruit and a balloon for my wife's Valentine's Day gift and it never arrived. I did not get a refund or a phone call. In fact I called them about 10 times and their phone was never answered and the voicemail was full. I finally got in touch with them the next day at around 4 pm. They refunded my money, but offered no explanation. I inquired as to what happened and they said "our systems went down for 4 hours yesterday" and "there was miscommunication with door dash who we call to do our deliveries on busy days". I asked why they didn't review their orders today and place calls to people that didn't get their orders yesterday. Apparently this was never a thought. A popular choice for holidays should have a much better operation than this. I will never order from them again and I suggest you choose a different option especially on holidays. My order was not ready when I arrived. In all fairness I did place it last minute online. However the sweet lady who was working alone in the store offered me a sweet sample while I waited. She also apologized serval times as I assured her each time it was perfectly fine. I didn't mind the wait. I proceeded outside to talk on my phone. When my order was done she brought it out to the parking lot to me! And threw in a free half dozen sample of chocolate covered fruit! Placed an order for pick-up, the lady who took my order was very rude. Thus, when I got to the store, I asked to speak with the manager. The lady standing there stated she was the owner, I explained to her how rude the "team leader" was and I was upset because of her lack of professionalism. The owner proceeded to tell me that the lady who took my order is great and she's the nicest person in the store and no one has ever complained about her. The owner did not try to rectify the situation by even offering an apology for her rude employee. My son ordered an arrangement for his girlfriend for their anniversary. He was excited to be able to do it, especially because his girl had never received one and had always wanted one. Their first mistake was they were unable to fill the order on the actual date that it was ordered for. For whatever reason, they were unable to deliver it that day and called to arrange the delivery for TWO days later. The kicker? They did not call my son to ask if the change was acceptable, but instead called his girlfriend and ruined the surprise. From the other reviews here, it seems their customer service is lacking, and they don't really care. We will not be return customers, and we will make sure to spread the word as to why. read more

I ordered a lovely Christmas arrangement for very close friends who are seniors; the husband is very, very ill, and I wanted to give a "healthy" gift. Since I live next door to these friends, I wanted to have the arrangement delivered, so it would be a real surprise. They were so thrilled with the gift.....it was absolutely beautiful!! Under the circumstances, since I wanted the arrangement delivered, I paid the delivery fee. I think that the delivery fee was excessively expensive and should be lower. Flowers do not cost as much to be delivered as this fruit arrangement did. Also, another suggestion that I have is that you may wish to offer a variety of SMALLER arrangements for SMALLER/SENIOR families. It may increase your business if you could offer a lower price point on these arrangements. Having been a shop owner in the retail business myself, individual budgets range from very low to very high, and I believe this would be a real boom for your business. There are folks who would love to send one of your beautiful arrangements, but cannot afford to pay these prices because the arrangements are too large and expensive.......even the current "SMALL" sizes that you offer. The arrangement that I ordered was $69.95, and it was the SMALL size. There was so much fruit in this arrangement that some of the fruit had to be given to my friend's mother. Just a thought....seniors do not eat as much as others do. Beautiful arrangements, and I will order again. If you choose an Edible Arrangement, you will not be disappointed! read more

Really bad business! - My family has used Edible Arrangements many many times before & loved it, but we've never worked with this particular location before. THIS location will be the reason we NEVER use Edible Arrangements again. My daughter sadly couldn't be with me for Mother's Day yesterday, so she contacted EA & placed her order - to be delivered yesterday, ON Mothers Day obviously. This wonderful gift never arrived. She felt absolutely horrible no matter what I said to her. She called today to see if the problem could be rectified somehow. First she was told that a delivery attempt was made, which was NOT true. (I was here all day) They never called to attempt to reach me or anything, but said they did. Then they told my daughter that SHE must have made the error & gave incorrect info (which we again verified to be NOT true) -- HOWEVER, it gets worse. Although placing blame on both my daughter and me, they agreed to send the delivery out today - a day late. "It will be after 4pm" they said. Again NOTHING!! I am now waiting to hear that my daughter got her refund, as I expect! This was a HORRIBLE transaction. Not only was an error made twice, but they attempted to blame the customer, which was verified to be untrue & really poor business. We will NEVER use this gift service again. This company used to be reliable for gifts of a sensitive situation -- Be careful. They aren't anymore! read more

My order was supposed to be delivered on Valentines day 2018. When my husband came home empty-handed I contacted your store and was told they had "over-committed" for deliveries on that day and my husband would not receive his gift. I was then assured he would receive his delivery for sure the next day 2/15/18. Again - nothing received - and no communication from your shop at all. Finally I called your shop again only to be given a PROMISE that his order would be delivered on 2/16. No apology or discount was offered despite FAILING to deliver as promised. When he came home empty-handed AGAIN on 2/16 I called and the fruit was delivered to my home (not the requested business address) that evening. A horrible experience and abysmal customer service. I've used Edible Arrangements before with great success - but your shop (9736 Midlothian Tpk, Richmond, VA) is a disaster and I will surely warn others to avoid it completely. read more

My husband orders from this store and sends me arrangements for both Mother's Day and Valentine's Day. This year he ordered early and had the delivery made on the 12th because they were offering free delivery (a $12 savings). The delivery got to my office before 10:00 AM - wonderful. However, the arrangement was apparently made several days in advance as the fruit was brown and mushy and just gross. When I called, they wanted to deliver a new arrangement to our home address as it was closer for them than delivering to my office. They weren't happy when I told them they could not deliver to our home as we work and would not be there. Very disappointed with the whole thing this time around. Never had any problems with them in the past. Not sure what's going on with them. read more
