I am not one to write negative reviews but I would never ever recommend this place. I ordered strawberry's for a friend who had a family member pass. Just look at the photos of what I ordered vs what I received. I did call and complain and got 1/2 a refund but in my opinion I should've been fully refunded and sent new strawberries. If their staff can't make the berries look how they do online they should not take the order. If I knew this is what I was paying $60 for I would've made them myself and had a better result. TL;DR Hair in platter, moldy fruit even though it was continuously refrigerated, company unwilling to help much. Had a the Strawberry Indulgence Platter, which is a tray of brownies with strawberry cheesecakes and cupcakes, as well as a box of chocolate covered strawberries delivered on Friday Aug 6th. Ignoring the fact that the brownies were akin to eating hockey pucks, they seemed old, and just plain not good. The cupcakes were so bad, we didn't even finish half of one. Extremely dry, and tasteless would be putting it lightly. The strawberry cheesecakes left a lot to be desired but of the three confections on the platter, they were probably the least bad, but not necessarily good by any means, afterall the bar was set pretty low after the first two items. The chocolate covered strawberries had to be some of the sourest strawberries I have EVER eaten. I cant exclusively fault Edible for that, but you'd think a business whose main product is fruit would have good fruit. But hey, you might love these items, to each their own. The one star is not based on the less than stellar products alone. Wrapped around one of the brownies and dragged through one of the cheesecake was a long blonde human hair. Gross. Of course we called to inform the establishment about this. While they did give the standard canned company apology, they were EXTREMELY unwilling to actually provide any actual help. Their solution was to either give a PARTIAL refund to the payment card, or send out a new platter. We didn't pay for the platter, as it was a gift, and we didn't want to upset the gift giver, so we asked if we could get that refund as a gift card so we could maybe place an order in the future. We were told "we don't do gift cards so that's not possible". We didn't want the platter remade, because the likelihood of it coming with the same subpar ingredients seemed pretty high. Ok fine, at that point we reached out to the friend that sent it, she of course was not happy with EA, but did agree to the partial refund. Fine - hair issue resolved. (this happened Friday August 6th/Saturday the 7th - hair was discovered at about 450pm, they close at 5pm so of course they didn't answer the phone, called back on saturday) Tried to eat a chocolate covered strawberry today August 8th, because lets be honest, even a bad chocolate covered strawberry is still pretty good. (I also have pretty low standards in life and will eat most anything) I noticed the box was filled with more strawberry liquid than one might expect, looked at the berries themselves, MOLD! Looked at other berries, definitely looked like they have seen better days. The berries were never out of the fridge longer than it took to open the box to take a berry or two out and eat them. Just how old were they?! Called the store back today. They wanted NOTHING to do with the situation. Said they couldn't keep giving refunds. They said "it's a fresh fruit basket, what do you expect?". I expect them to not be terrible, and last more than 2 days fully refrigerated! I understand its fruit, there is always a chance it wont be the most ripe, most delicious fruit ever, but I also expect it to not be some of the worst fruit AND baked goods I have had in quite some time. I do also expect it to not mold almost instantly either, but hey, when your customer service is about as good as your products in general, I guess that's what it has come to. Well, I ordered the Valentine's Day Platter with chocolate strawberries for my now fiancé and I yesterday afternoon. I asked for the freshest platter as it was for an engagement, and it came out pre-wrapped when I picked it up. Girl told me it was fresh, so I believed her as it was wrapped nicely to be sent out. I brought it home, popped it in the fridge, and got ready for our evening. We opened it up when we got home around 10pm, ate three strawberries total. Then we noticed a majority of the strawberries and grapes had mold growing on them, so we closed the platter so I could phone them in the morning. I am very disappointed that the platter was sent out like this, but I'm more disappointed that this platter was not dated with time made to avoid situations like this since fruit is delicate. I understand it's the busiest time of the year, but there was maybe 8 dipped strawberries and the rest was not. Rip off in my opinion too for $75 when I could have made it for $15 with organic strawberries, but it was a special occasion. Thank god inpicked up a heart shaped cake from Portillo's too. However, I'm grateful that they refunded my order and the manager reached out to me. read more

I had the best experience with this company. It was my mom's birthday, she lives about 2 miles from this store, but I live in Arizona. The items were delivered on time, fresh and cold. Order was delivered during power loss and my 2 contacts were not called and the gift was left with a random person on a different floor. Needless to say I'm trying to troubleshoot from another state. From a customer service perspective I'd only give them a 1 star. They should have at least called me. All I got was excuses vs. let me handle it. She did try to go back but obviously could not get in due to the power being out. All I would ask is that the business call the person who placed the order BEFORE you leave it with a random person. Opened container on Wednesday and found chocolate covered strawberries to have mold on them thereby contaminating all the other fruit in same container. Majority of large arrangement had to be dispensed of. Contacted store and was told that the fruit was to have been eaten in the first couple of days. It was our fault for not eating faster. All of the girls in there are so sweet and seem like they genuinely like being there. I get so turned off when I walk into a business and the staff seems miserable. Not the case here. They're all friendly, offer samples, answer your questions, and promote things that I didn't even know they had! They even decorate the store really cute for the season, which I think shows that they care. I ordered a 24 pack of chocolate covered strawberries for my wife to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. There were two problems with the strawberries that arrived. 1 of the two dozen strawberries there were only 23. They didn't even give us the full two dozen. 2 half the strawberries were barely half covered with chocolate. It was if it was too much work for them to dip the strawberry. Just received my second E.A. from the local store, here in Wheaton. Although it looked beautiful, the fruit was sub par at best. It was hard as in crunchy and absolutely flavorless. I put a call into them and was told that the manager wasn't in so I'd have to call back when she was. I doubt I'll waste anymore time than it takes me to write this review on this really disappointing product. It just amazes me that a business offering one product (fruit) has the audacity to charge an arm and a leg for a product that is oh, so awful. Granted, it is April and fresh fruit isn't in season. That doesn't stop restaurants (of a higher standard) and even grocery stores from getting tasty produce. Obviously, E.A. feels it is perfectly fine to peddle a less that mediocre product. I will certainly do my share to make folks aware that if they're going to order this, go into the local store and ask to sample the fruit first. As someone who has purchased from EA before, I was pretty angry when I went into one in Geneva, IL and asked the worker if he could fill my nalgene with water. Clearly unwilling to do so, he pointed to a bottled water in the fridge and told me I could buy one. Only after I told him I didn't have any money did he begrudgingly fill my bottle from the sink right behind him. I know I did not purchase anything right then, but I really don't think 16oz of sink water is too much to ask for. What happened to "Midwestern hospitality"??? Any place in Los Angeles would have happily filled a bottle with sink water. And as a side note: this EA store was one of two little shops open at the geneva train station. If there were a bathroom or some other place to fill my bottle, I would have gone there. EA was my only option if I didn't want to spend the next 1.5 hours on the train thirsty. read more

It was my first time coming here, so I was unaware of how everything worked. Absolutely fantastic! Grandpa decided at the last minute to have a gift waiting for our granddaughter when she got home from school. It was her 13th birthday and first day as a teenager and he wanted something special We are in Scottsdale Arizona and found edible arrangements on the internet. I entered an order online and requested same day delivery although it was after 4:00 Pm here. The order went through, they called us for our daughters phone number to make sure that someone would be home. Delivery was successful and within a couple of hours of our request. I ordered online the afternoon before for pick up the next morning. I arrived early hoping to get my order early as I had people arriving to my house. When I walked in, the employee went back to make my order I had placed the day earlier. Rather than help or pretend to care, they left me standing in front of the store with no chairs on principle for 30 minutes. If it truly took that long a smile and a quick, "Hey it'll be 20 more minutes for the box of 6," would go a long way over the glares through the door. So the two young people who worked there offered me something they were working on for someone else and would make another for that person. So...have happily received arrangements from this store so thought it safe to in person place an order for delivery for the same day. It is a day later and the $65.00 plus arrangement has yet to be delivered. I have been called twice asking me if recipients are at home. I do not know, this is a supposed to be a surprise. And they called the recipient yesterday who told them to deliver it today, So now not only have I paid for this I must be a private investigator as to when they can deliver. More stress for me than I ever wanted. At this point I wish I had just delivered it myself. I have been in the floral design industry and have never put a purchaser though this before. I will never order from here again and will tell my son who places orders from here to me to not do so anymore. So disappointed. This store has a lot to learn about Customer Service, first they called me the recipient 4 times to deliver one arrangement! after the 3rd call. the owner gets on the phone to tell me that her driver is at my house. My husband was in front of our townhome and the driver was not! Next I ask her to ask the driver what the address he is in front of she can't tell me. Because her driver is lying! Granted all the townhomes look alike but the address is engraved into the brick so you have to pay attention! She states that the unincorporated addresses are difficult to locate and that the street I live on is hard to find. When asked if he had GPS, she corrected what she thought I'd said in a very patronizing tone! She's been in business since 2005 and should take an business and ethics course!!
