I'll start by saying this. Edith's is a super nice restaurant and the service is amazing. But.... I struggled with Edith's. I never downplay restaurants on purpose because I'm all for promoting a business if it lives up to the hype, all in food, service, ambience and anything I can think of to help the hype. But it always falls back on the food and environment for me. On authenticity and how the chef's creativity is to either keep traditional dishes legit or whip up a dope version of their own. And hey, we're all different but this was MY experience, I'm sure others will vary. Edith's is one of those places where you won't find a local for the life of you. Not a bad thing at all and maybe this was the intent (or night), but this was definitely design and catered to a traveling tourist menu $$$. You'll find things like Organic Salads, Steaks, Grilled Seafood, Chowder, Carpaccio and semi decent Enchiladas. Don't look for authentic here or affordability. And honestly, the food wasn't bad. I just don't think I'd ever eat there again if I had the choice. Here was supper. Complimentary Tostada - Bean and Cheese. Fresh. It was fire. Lobster Taquitos - Good app. Different style of Taquitos for sure. Lobster Lettuce Wraps with Rice and Beans, a Guajillo Sauce and Sour Cream. Wrapped in a flour tortilla. Worth the order. Quesadillas Tres Maria's - Red is filled with Shrimp and Cheese, was decent. Green is filled with Squash Blossoms, Epazote and Cheese, this one was it yo, and the White is filled with Rib Eye and Cheese. Green was my fav. Tampiquena Fillet - The Fillet Mignon was cooked perfect. I didn't care for the Enchilada or the Rice and Beans, and I already had the Green Quesadilla which was solid. They added in a piece of fried Plantain. Idk. Kind of all over the place for me. I'd skip this next time and try something else. But the Fillet was good. Baja Style Shrimp - The Shrimp was solid. Large butterflied Shrimp in a Garlic Sauce served with Tomato Basil and Avocado Slices. Again, I didn't understand that part of the dish but the Shrimp was good. Banana Flabee with Vanilla Ice Cream - Always good. Worth the order. IG worthy. Idk, it wasn't for me but maybe your experience is different. Enjoy my friends. read more

If I did this review a year ago, it would have received 5 stars. I spent the entire year speaking highly of this place as a must go when in Cabo. However, our most recent experience aligns with many of the other low star reviews you see. Service is sterile and repetitive. Food is good, but no longer matches the price point. Our table was completely abandoned after our dinner order was taken. No one checked up on food, no one offered more beverages, no one offered dessert.. no one even came back to give us our bill. After asking two servers for our bill and 30 minutes passing by, I thought they didn't want our money. $650 for 4 guests for a 2 star dinner. Very disappointed in Edith's and agree with other reviewers that there are plenty of other locations to spend your evening near by. read more

Stay away! Tourist trap! They scammed us money and said we broke a salt shaker when we did no such thing. Our bill was $700 for 6 people. They had the audacity to charge us $45 for a broken salt shaker. The food was mediocre too. Cute atmosphere but will never return again. Beware! read more

Excellent dining experience. This restaurant was recommended to me by a co-worker and it did not disappoint. We started with a pitcher of passion fruit margaritas that I highly recommend. Then we were given an appetizer that looks like a tostada. We then ordered the table side Caesar salad which was really good. My friend and her husband ordered the surf and turf for two that included choice of steak, lobster and shrimp. Me and my friend ordered the Wally's special that included sea bass, lobster and shrimp. Then for my bday I was brought a piece of flan. In addition, we ordered pineapple pie and banana fosters. Every thing was delicious. This place USED to be good... it's gone so far downhill. First, they made us wait outside the restaurant (despite being on time for our reservation) for no apparent reason. As the first interaction with the restaurant, this was pretty unwelcoming. The next thing you will notice is the utter chaos. They are servers running around everywhere - all the time - it is stressful and chaotic, especially when you want to enjoy a peaceful dinner. And now the food - the chicken enchiladas were served cold and flavorless. The (expensive!!) tuna fajitas were served cold but overcooked and with hardly any vegetables. We couldn't locate a server because there are too many of them but no one seemed to be focused on any table or any guest. Needless to say, this place is officially off our Cabo list. What a wonderful restaurant and classier alternative dinner on the beach. The ambiance is so romantic, with beautiful colorful linens and a great view out to the arch. Started with an amuse bouche of a tostada. My husband tried a fancy tequila which was amazing. We got the table side caesar salad (make sure to tip your salad maker) and it was so good, real anchovies make all the difference in the world. My husband got the Wally's Special, with grilled lobster (amazing) butterflied shrimp and a fresh fish. His favorite was the lobster. I wasn't that hungry and ordered the breaded jumbo shrimp. This was the best shrimp I've ever had, whatever is in the breading is delicious. And it had a nice side of fries and tomatoes with basil. This place gets busy and for good reason. Definitely make a reservation if you want to experience Edith's. The servers are incredibly nice and professional. The dining area is pretty large with a nice looking bar in the middle of it. They have live music so it gets a little loud but fun. Our food was delicious and I was able to try some higher end tequila. It's expensive but definitely a great place for a nice dinner date or birthday dinner (they'll put a sombrero on you and sing to you). read more

The ambiance here was amazing and the setting was ideal, as you can see the water from certain tables. The staff is very friendly, as expected, but I was not overwhelmed by Edith's. The prices are very high and the hype is extreme for a place that serves food tantamount to cheesecake factory. I get the appeal and I understand the appeal of fine dining in Cabo, but the food just wasn't anything special. I do not believe that the food is worth the price and the drinks were pretty watered down to be honest. While this place is not on the beach, it has a beautiful open sky and lots of ambiance. The bar is really beautiful. We ordered a ceasar salad made tableside and it was unanimously one of the best ceasar salads we had in Cabo. The service, drinks and food choices were a little more upscale comapred to the other restaurants, and so I tried the family recipe for mole. To be honest, I wasn't really sure I would like it after the server explained it was not the traditional mole I would have, and he also stated that he did not care for it. Despite this, I ordered it and it was not something I would order again. It was bland and I wished I had gone with the server's suggestion as everyone else loved their dishes. It was another expensive meal, but the portions, service and atmosphere was good enough for a one time visit for us. I gave a five star rating because my group was so happy with their beef and lobster but for myself, a two star because a restaurant that has an owner's name on it, sells a family recipe, and touts itself as the best restaurant should have a family recipe that is delicious, flavorful and memorable. read more

But the prices... oh man the prices... we're from the Bay Area too where dinners for 2 are $100-150 on average and even we were shocked here. How do normal folks afford this place? The service is ok, nothing bad but not exceptional. If I'm considering the cost of good, the labor and environment this should be less than half of what they're charging. Be prepared to spend about $100 pp minimum. Is it pretty inside? Kind of, not like WOW. Scratching my head why everyone recommends this place. Pass on this restaurant. read more

Edith's is always a repeat visit for me in the Baja, the food is good, and the charm is always the same. I love visiting their property and enjoying an evening at one of their tables. On my most recent visit the service was definitely off. We were greeted and taken to a table in the back - which bummed me out because when I made the reservation I asked for a good table with a view ( we did not receive that table despite having a 5:30 reservation). Then before we even ordered drinks, they rushed us to order food. I finally asked for a cocktail menu, and then we were looking at drinks on an iPad - which I didn't love, it was hard to read and scroll through. Service overall was slow, and inconsistent, I remember it being more intimate and fun in the past - so that was kind of a bummer. The food was great, and so were the drinks. If you have room for dessert don't skip the banana foster - a delicious ending. I will return, but hope for better service and a table in the future. read more

All I can say is WOW!!! Edith's was an amazing culinary experience! Not only is the food absolutely delicious but the presentation and service is next level. We went on a Saturday night and had made a 6pm reservation and they sat us right down. But the place is super busy so definitely make a reservation in advance. They started us with a complimentary tostada which was delicious. My wife and I then split a Caesar salad. The salad was delicious but the presentation is awesome. It is made table side and the server tells you every ingredient as it's added. One of the best Caesar salads I've ever had! My wife then had the shrimp bisque that shrimp bisque that is served in a bread bowl and accompanied by a huge shrimp cocktail. The soup was creamy and delicious. For our main course we ordered the Wallys Special #2. Unreal. 2 lobsters, 4 shrimp, sea bass and we upgraded from the filet to the Tomahawk steak because my son was blown away by the tomahawk when they showed all the meats before we ordered. Everything on the plate was out of this world! The steak had a great Smokey flavor and the lobster was cooked perfect. But for us the star of the plate was the shrimps. They had a great seasoning and were so fresh. I would definitely recommend this dish to anyone eating here. For dessert, we got the banana flambé. Do not even think about coming here without getting this dish. They prepare it table side and truly one of the best desserts I've ever had. Oh this was my second time at Edith's restaurant and it was super incredible! When you walk in you're caught up with the most gorgeous ambience! Glass hearts everywhere of all sizes, sitting amongst the most beautiful flowers hanging down as well as surrounding you, with beautiful trees as the birds are happily chirping away! Depending upon where you sit, you have a beautiful view of the ocean and it's gorgeous. The staff and service are always attentive to your needs, drinks always half full and yummy! Everyone said "go to Edith's!" We had a group of 8. Reservations are a must. The food was pretty good, but worth noting that Cabo isn't known for authentic Mexican food, rather it's really big on fresh seafood. There aren't very many Mexican food dishes on the menu. I had the fish tacos and they were yummy! The table side Caesar salad and Mexican coffee are popular here. Otherwise the ambiance is really what you're going for (see pics). It's also in a nice location next door to Mango deck and The Office. Walking distance from where we stayed at Hacienda. I read the reviews before the trip and there were a lot of warnings about surprises in the final bill. We didn't experience this at Edith's but definitely did throughout the trip in Cabo at hotel and other spots. In general, it's good to ask about price if you don't want to be surprised. For example, we had a $50 tip added at the club and $100 for water at our hotel pool casual dinner (didn't know they were charging $7.50 for Fiji bottled water but we could have asked). read more
