I absolutely love this place and have been eating here for over three years. The food is always delicious! They have healthy options too for those of you who want to keep it healthy. They have a number of items under their kids menu. By the way, their pork sausages are out of this world delicious. These sausages are juicy and two ounces each!!!!! The best! They have indoor and outdoor seating and they have that breakfast counter that gives it an old school feeling (love that). The place is small inside so if you have a stroller or something, it's not a place where you can bring that in so maybe sit outside. It's definitely a kid friendly place though. We come here often and are never disappointed! I wish they were open for dinner too but unfortunately they close at 2pm. They have parking right in front (if you're lucky) and there are two areas of free parking very close to the restaurant as well. read more

Ed's Place is a real gem. The restaurant is unsuspecting. There's a casual counter toward the front of the restaurant and booths are tucked in the back. I came here for breakfast on a whim. I ordered the Denver omelette ($9.95) which comes with ham, bell peppers + onions. For my side, I chose hashbrowns. My omelette was proportionally the right size and each bite had the right ratio of ham/bell pepper/onion. Like their omelette making game is on point. My hashbrowns were SO good - real buttery with the right amount of crisp on the outside, but still nice and tender potatoes on the inside. Ed's Place is a great, local, greasy diner. There are a ton of breakfast places in Glendora, and when I'm feeling like I want some typical American food, I come to Ed's Place. They have a pretty good biscuits and gravy. Their hours are a little disappointing, but I also understand it's difficult to stay open late. When you can go inside, I love the airplane theming. Ed's Place is great for breakfast. The hash browns are cooked to a perfect crisp, and the sausage links are gigantic and super flavorful. I ordered the Heartland Country Breakfast but I'm not a fan of my food smothered in gravy so I asked for it on the side. The staff here is super friendly and the restaurant itself has nostalgic decor. If you go during the weekend be prepared to spend extra time looking for parking in downtown Glendora. I have enjoyed Ed's for years. The servers are fun and efficient at the same time. However, recently there has been some creepy guy who I just found out his name is Mark, that hangs around. He doesn't eat food, he takes up tables when there are people waiting, turns on the tv like he owns the place. I come to Ed's for the down home quirky diner it is. if I wanted to watch sports I'd go to a sports bar. I also didn't like the fact that this random person was also hanging out in the kitchen. I've even seen him walk a case of beer to the back many times. is Ed's turning into a beer joint? a sports bar? why is this man creeping around our favorite breakfast spot. Maybe it's time to start going to the Village Vault. I'd miss the fun servers at Ed's for sure though. read more

I love Ed's, I've been coming here for years , but today's experience was the worst. We got there at 11 and didn't get our drinks until 20 minutes later. Other servers were on top of their tables but ours was nowhere to be found. We asked for a different server but they said they couldn't due to rotation. I gave her till 11:30 and at 11:29 she finally took our order. At 1142 the table next to us got served after their order was taken after us. Just as I was contemplating watching out, at 11:45 the power went out and that was my cue to leave. It will be a long time before I come back and no more recommendations to friends read more

I haven't had diner food in a while. This was great! We stopped in here while we waited for an appointment. Service was good. You get a lot of food and the price is just what diner prices should be. Unique decor that has an aircraft theme. Breakfast served during all business hours. Service was good, and food was delicious. Like other reviewers, I was disappointed that the restaurant charges to split a plate ($3.25)- since my husband and I frequently share entrees. It's been several years since I have eaten at an restaurant that charges for this. I ordered the Original Country Scramble (see photo), and it was good. Awful service. They ignored us and waited on a couple who sat down after us and only after I flagged someone down did we get service. My mom asked for a box to take home the other half of her sandwich and they didn't bring it until I asked again. We should have sat outside because they seemed more attentive. There weren't many people sitting inside and I saw the waitresses standing around talking to each other completely ignoring us. Food was decent but I will never eat there again. I left a $1.00 tip which they really didn't deserve. There are so many other good places in the Village that I will give my business to. When I am driving back to Las Vegas from Los Angeles, I like to pick a restaurant somewhere along the 210 to stop and have breakfast. After checking Yelp, I chose Ed's Place and added it to my car's GPS unit. I love these small towns along the 210. They have main streets generally with free parking, and the tree lined streets are very attractive. That was the case with Glendora and Ed's Place. Free parking right out front and several tables under a tree for dining outside. It was a bit cold, so I sat at the counter inside. The inside has a lot of flying related things--photos, airplane models, all kinds of interesting things. This is a locals kind of place. There were 3 men at the counter having their morning coffee. It seemed this was a place that they might gather daily and spend time to chat about military service years ago or work or retirement. All three things were on the agenda the day I was there. I ordered the Tequila chicken sausage which the menu describes as a zesty broiled sausage. It comes with two eggs of your choice, potatoes or fruit, and toast or biscuit and gravy. Service was very good. Even though it's a very small place, I did have to ask the server for a coffee refill. The sausage was nicely spiced and it was a change in breakfast for me. Came here a second time for breakfast and continued to be impressed by the excellent service. Wow, we are treated as part of the family! I love the 1940's decor and music... A blast from the past of WWII. A couple tables outside if you want to enjoy the weather. We've tried a few different omelets and the California burger. My friend said, "I've been to Gordon Ramsey's restaurant and this burger beats his hands down with flavor for 1/4 the price!" Their fries are amazing and I'm not a big fry person. Small restaurant... Look for the umbrellas and that's it. The menu says "you're found us" because if you blink, you'll miss this gem. Both times I've come in there are a lot of people in and out (great sign). read more

We just moved into town a little over a month ago. I was in search of homestyle comfort breakfast and lunch that is within walking distance from home and found this gem. Doesn't look much different from most store/restaurant fronts in the Village but step inside and it's like stepping back in time in a beautiful way. I immediately felt welcomed by the staff and just enjoyed the whole vibe of the place. I had the country fried steak and the gravy was absolutely delicious! It's a solid diner, with friendly service. My friend and I came here on a weekend morning and only had to wait 15 minutes or so for a booth, however when we were seated we were ignored and not helped for another 15-20 until someone realized that we didn't have menus. They looked so busy I didn't want to flag them and be rude, but the waitress told us that we should have yelled at them to get attention haha. I appreciated the fact that they catered to our keto diets- so no toast or potatoes, just tomato slices, and we asked for a side of avocado as well as side of sausage. No judgement here. No judgement even when my friend asked for and I quote "A LOOOOOOOT of ranch" with his steak and eggs. I wish I could eat potatoes because the hashbrowns looked so crispy! The portions aren't that big but they are adequate for the average person but the steak was an 8 oz according to the menu, and I'm usually used to something a little bigger. I was glad that I got that side of sausage but I also wished I got a side of something else as well. I'm a powerlifter so I eat a LOT, ok!? Overall I'd come back here again. Today, I was craving an adventure and a new restaurant so I decided to try this new little place. I arrived around 11:30-12 and not going to lie, it wasn't the best sight to see as there were dirty dishes splayed all over the outside tables. A little bit of a turn-off but decided to head in anyway. I was greeted by a friendly face and a warm welcome from one of the bussers and was then escorted outside to where one of the tables was quickly cleaned off. ordered a nice spinach omelet with a side of hashbrowns. Hali, who was the one taking care of my table, was great. She brought my food, refilled my drink, got condiments, and made sure that everything was to my satisfaction. I also got to talking about tattoos as I took notice of the one on her arm. She was very sweet and funny and honestly made the experience worth the visit with a nice conversation. Although she is a busser, I could see that she works very hard and has great potential to become a waitress. While eating, I noticed that she was the only one taking care of and cleaning the outside area with no help. She was balancing all the dirty tables just fine and bringing out others' food, although it would have been nice to see a little bit of teamwork happening. no one else out there besides the lovely busser. The food was pretty decent. The overall vibe was okay. If I am to return, I hope to meet Hali again. She really made the experience worthwhile. read more

The worst service ever. Four employees standing around as we are waiting to order. They took a tables order that was there after us. The guy with the hat and beard is clueless. Waitresses are rude and are also clueles. We had to ask for our menus. The tall waitress is arrogant and obnoxious would not let us move to a booth because they said only four to a booth. Yet there is two people sitting in a booth. Waitress wipes her nose while holding customers drinks not once did a waitress come ask us if we wanted more drinks or how are food was. You refill another tables water but can't refill our drinks. Had to ask for our check so we can pay. Cant say anything bad about the food because the food was very good but the service just sucked. What a cute little gem of a diner! Very old school feel when you walk in with tons of aircraft memorabilia. Waitresses and waiters are very sweet and welcoming. There's also a big bowl of iced water for the pups walking by on the sidewalk. SO cute. We sat outside on the sidewalk where we still had excellent service.
