The restaurant itself is clean & all tables have clear views of the TVs on game days. Now for the room for improvement- the food was very underwhelming. Being from the Chicago area previously, I regularly advocate for the Chicago food scene, and this unfortunately did not meet those standards. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, buffalo cauliflower, wings, and sesame ginger salad: -Brussel sprouts: tasted like they weren't seasoned just air fried and drenched in balsamic dressing -Buffalo cauliflower: soggy, unseasoned, runny buffalo sauce -Wings: PERFECTLY CRISPY, but no flavor (we ordered lemon pepper & buffalo) -Sesame ginger salad: sloppy mix of vegetables tossed in an overly sweet sauce with no sesame or ginger flavor in sight If you're not going to eat, this is probably a great spot, but from a food standpoint, there is room for improvement.

Tartare can be pretty hit or miss but this one was delicious and had egg and sauces to keep it extra interesting. We also really liked the truffle mozzarella sticks which were 5 big sticks and not too truffley at all. I didn't have too much of the orecchiette but I did think it was pretty good - second favorite pasta dish for sure. The ribeye cooked medium rare was also a really good steak option!

As far as the whiskey flights go, I think the best one was the Vietnam flight because it had a slightly lemongrass twang and was a little bit lighter than the other two. The heaviest one was the Wisconsin which came with a little bit of a bite at the end, but it still wasn't bad if you're trying to blackout on a $15 budget. I would definitely come back with a larger group this seems like a great place, but is a little bit loud- so if you be prepared to yell or wear earplugs. The bathroom took my a second to find, which should have been intuitive considering it was on the opposite end of where you come in. I blame the lighting as things are already pretty hard to find in the dark, but eventually I made it there-Pat myself on the back.

Eduardos Enoteca, you have won. Immediately, I was drawn to the rustic interior with its vaulted wood ceilings, exposed brick, and reclaimed ceiling panels from the old Playboy theater, which apparently used to occupy the same space. The wine list is unique and very heavy on Italians and Domestics, you can get flights, small glass, big glass and by the bottle. I also saw some very cool cocktails being mixed up - one of them had fresh sage and pink lemonade. The food is very reasonably priced and we were able to try a few of the items on their menu including - Artisan Italian cheeses - Aged Prosciutto - Mushroom Crostini with Truffle - Arugula and Avocado salad - Spicy Pepperoni Pizza with fresh basil and truffle - A seasonal special of grilled asparagus with walnuts and parmesean reggiano They let us try a new dish they were working on with Sea Scallops, parsnip and micro greens and fresh melon. All around, this is as good as it gets. The service was very friendly, the food delicious and the wines brought it all together. I will be back here often. read more

I HEART EDUARDO'S ENOTECA. This little gem of a restaurant in the Gold Coast is located at the corner of Dearborn and Division. It is very cute and quaint and the outdoor lights make it very welcoming. If you don't get to sit outside, the inside is just as pleasant. The interior is very warm with dark wood--makes for a perfect place to have a glass of wine! We were greeted by the general manager, Jordan, immediately when we walked in and he made it over to our table at one point to check in and chat. Very personable and made the dining experience that much more special! Being a vegetarian in a meat and potatoes kind of town can be tough but this menu offered so many delicious and seasonal vegetable options! Needless to say, I was in heaven! I've never met a vegetable I don't like, and the brussel sprouts (minus the pancetta) were right up my alley. I would have to say my absolute favorite was the smashed pea and mint crostini. We stumbled upon Eduardo's Enoteca in Gold Coast and it might just be our new favorite Italian spot in the city. The vibe is intimate and cozy -- candlelit tables, exposed brick, shelves of wine... it feels like a hidden gem straight out of Europe. We started with happy hour and ordered the arancini balls and bacon-wrapped dates -- both were delicious and perfectly crisp. For our mains, we shared the fig and arugula pizza, which had that perfect balance of sweet and savory, and of course, the bolognese -- because if bolognese is on the menu, we're ordering it. YES! I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to review Eduardo's. I think I've been here once a week (at least) since they re-opened. They have done such a beautiful job with the food, wine, staff, decor, and ambiance. Definitely my favorite restaurant in the city (sounds hyperbolic, but it's true)! Great place to go for dinner or even to just grab drinks and apps before (or after) dinner. Here are some of my favs: -mushroom crostini -brussel sprouts -arugula avocado salad -lemon caesar salad (love that the dressing is not creamy) -artichoke pizza -margherita pizza -alla diavola pizza -fusilli funghi tartufo pasta -lemon and peper spaghetti You really can't go wrong. Finally! A small romantic wine bar that offers food as delicate and delicious as the wine they serve. I could eat the Eggplant Parmigiano Pizza everyday. The Mushroom Crostini was a fantastic starter, a perfect balance of sweet, salty, crunchy, and sophisticated for six bucks. When I went in the place was buzzing with activity, we were seated quickly and began studying the wine list. Interesting feature is that they have an excellent selection of craft beers. When my daughter went inside to pick up the pizza she was told that the order had been "lost" but they seemed to find it right after that. I had to give my information to 4 different employees including the manager when I got there and none of them acted professional or aware. It was pretty quiet shortly after opening and the quiet ambience, upscale decor, and TVs playing the game gave it a half-fancy, half-sports bar vibe. They do have a killer happy hour that runs through the weekend, with half off many appetizers, pastas, and drinks. I love that they feature regular menu items, so it's a great way to try everything without breaking the bank. I came really hoping to try the stuffed dates, but although they had just opened, I was told that they were out. I was a bit disappointed and opted for the meatball instead alongside the tartufate. Although I was one of a handful of customers, my water was not refilled once nor were there check-ins. The staff instead was glued to the game on TV at the other end of the bar. The meatball was tender with a good flavor, but I felt that the sauce was a bit watery and under-salted. This was just ok for me. Halfway through eating it, a server reached over to take it away asking if I was finished, and I politely said no. The pasta was rich and creamy, and I loved how the orecchiette scooped up the truffle sauce. It was tasty and I felt the portion was great given the price. A large part of going out to a nice restaurant is the experience, and I felt this didn't quite hit the mark for me. I would possibly return for the happy hour given the value, but for a sure fire good time with others, I don't know that I'd risk paying full price.

I would highly recommend getting the dirty martinis( grey goose or Hendrix both solid choices for the base liquor) And the snacks .... 3 steak house quality shrimp cocktails for $9?! Unbeatable! The Proscuitto was so good with ricotta and honey and those Parmesan pillows.... Wowowowow. My friend was having a caffeine withdrawal and our wonderful bartender Patrick whipped up some wonderful ice coffee drink that I later learnt was sparrow coffee. I give Patrick 10/5 because he was professional warm and delightful! Please give him a raise!

Update After My Second Visit…read more I wanted to update my original review because management reached out, apologized for my first experience, and invited me back. I appreciated the gesture and decided to give the restaurant another opportunity. My second visit was definitely better. My seating was more comfortable, both managers checked in with me, and my original server from my first visit even stopped by to say hello. The host was also much more conversational and welcoming this time. The person who stood out to me most was Scott, the General Manager. His attentiveness felt natural, polite, and genuine. As a solo diner, I could genuinely feel the difference between someone simply doing their job and someone who naturally makes a guest feel welcomed. His hospitality was the biggest positive takeaway from my second visit. There were still a few interactions that didn't feel as warm. The manager who initially invited me back seemed somewhat short with me, and my server didn't seem particularly engaged or helpful with recommendations. I'm sharing that simply as my honest perspective as a guest. I also want to clarify something regarding my original review. During the first phone call when I was invited back, the manager brought up my mention of race and said that I was essentially "pulling the race card," while emphasizing that the restaurant is Black-owned. That was uncomfortable for me because I was simply describing my personal experience as a Black woman dining alone. I received another call today, and that conversation was polite. I was asked if I would consider removing or changing my review. I understand why a business would want that, and I genuinely appreciate that they made an effort to improve my experience. At the same time, my original experience was still my experience, and acknowledging a better second visit doesn't require me to erase what happened the first time. Overall, I'm grateful I returned. The second experience was better, and Scott's genuine hospitality left the biggest impression on me. I believe businesses deserve credit when they make an effort to make things right, while customers should also feel comfortable sharing their honest experiences.

The restaurant has an open floor plan with clean decor and a cool throwback vibe. We were greeted by our waiter, Shawn, who was pretty cool throughout our visit. The drinks were good, no complaints there! For food, we tried the shrimp Parmesan, Caesar salad, calamari, and I ordered the short rib ravioli. The shrimp Parmesan was definitely the standout for me. Such a great twist and absolutely delicious! The ravioli was also really good. My only issue was that my food came out cold. We decided to let the shrimp Parmesan go, but when I mentioned the ravioli, they reheated it for me, which I appreciated. Overall, I had a good experience and would definitely come back. There are still so many things on the menu I want to try, so I'll definitely be back to explore more. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was inviting, and the food was delicious overall. Street parking is available, and I used the InKind app to pay. Another Fulton Market spot added to the list!

He was very pleasant and took good care of us. We ordered cocktails and sipped on them while we decided on dinner. My wife had some sort of a Spritz. It shows as Limoncello Spritz on the check but the drink was between that and an Aperol Spritz. She enjoyed it. I had some sort of Elderflower Spritz. I enjoyed it as well. Later, we ordered the Burger. It comes with thick fried chips. The burgers are cooked on the rooftop whereas the pizzas are cooked at the restaurant on the first floor and brought up. The burger was done in no time. And while we asked for it medium rare, it arrived more medium. There were 2 patties and they were thinner, so I understand how it could be difficult to make those medium rare. Still, the burger had great flavor. We enjoyed sitting outside, even though it was still quite warm. The gentle breeze and cold drinks helped. We'd eat (and drink) here again on a future visit. Thanks Tommy and team for a decent time.

I went up to the bar which had at least 6 people behind it .. no one even acknowledged me .. and I watched another employee drinking . I made eye contact with a few servers .. hoping to pay .. and no one ever said a word . I finally asked a busboy who helped me . THEN I notice that gratuity was included for our party of 3 .. that was never brought to our attention . Gratuity that I probably have not given as again , super drunk server and staff . This rooftop is in a prime location in chicago .. yet the staff needs proper training as the customer service is lacking all around .

Unfortunately, the service also felt unfriendly, and because this was my second visit with the same experience, it really affected my overall impression. The space is beautiful, but for me, the service and communication need to catch up.
