I went to Eduardo's enoteca for the first time this past weekend and enjoyed my experience. I think I would have preferred eating on the patio because the tables were awkwardly short or chairs awkwardly tall? Not sure. The food was good! We got the hot honey pizza and ate it all YUM, the burrata was fab but I felt like I needed another piece of bread or tomatoes to enjoy all of the pesto it came with. My favorite was the spicy kale Caesar salad. It was HOT but it tasted amazing and the kale was so tender. I love that this is a tucked away neighborhood spot. read more

I love Eduardo's. The hot honey pizza and the pappardelle bolognese are my jam. The brussels sprouts are also delish. BUT I can't give it a 5 star because there is consistent inconsistency. When I order "extra sauce" on my togo orders, it a trick bag on whether I'll get the sauce (it used to come on the side and was worth every penny). The extra sauce is honestly what makes the pasta so amazing. Other than that the restaurant is great, but I hate that I need to call in to remind the restaurant to include my extra sauce. And they can't say they didn't see it because I see the ticket and it includes the extra sauce note... read more

Love this local spot! Get the hot honey pizza so good there! A friend from work recommended it and now I get that all the time when I'm there. Always a pleasant experience. The espresso martinis are another popular option. Everything I've had there actually has been pretty great. I love the olives not a huge fan of the burrata there it's tiny. But for me the #1 is the carry out pizza. This is different than the restaurant and that is my jam! I've been eating that for many years! This adorable little restaurant was the perfect way to start my first day in Chicago. We sat on the sunny patio which felt like we were in paradise; loved all the outdoor palms and big orange umbrellas. The table started with cocktails/wine flights, the spicy kale caesar and brussels sprouts, which were very good despite there being a lot of sauce at the bottom of the sprouts! Then I ordered the Diavola pizza, which did not disappoint. The portions were good, so I had a little left over pizza to take home. The service was okay, it took quite a while to get our drinks after we ordered them. The plates they brought for us to use for sharing were tiny, so wasn't a huge fan of that. But nonetheless, it was a good experience and I would go back. A dog friendly patio is always a plus! read more

Came here by pure chance! Just happened to be walking by in the area, peeked inside and decided to give this place a shot--let me say, it was the best decision I've made today. We ordered focaccia and arancini as starters. The focaccia was warm and fresh, and the herb butter was delicious! Arancini was accompanied with some tasty marinara sauce. The arancini itself was buttery, and a real treat. For mains, our group ordered the pesto gnocchi, spicy baked shrimp capellini, diavola pizza. The gnocchi was not too heavy, and tasted like soft pillows. The capellini pasta didn't have an overbearing seafood taste, and was very well balanced. The Diavola was a smash hit. It was a thin crusted pizza that was full of flavor, and the truffle oil was a perfect touch! We finished our meal with cannolis. Honestly, its hard to find decently made cannolis these days, and the ones served here were delicious! Would not recommend. 2 stars instead of 1 because the ambiance is nice and my husband's bolognese was acceptable, but that's about all the nice things we can say about this place. This was an overpriced meal with disappointing service. I ordered the lemon poppy bucatini with gluten free pasta, and it was one of the most terrible dishes I've had from a restaurant in a long time. I had to send it back because the pasta wasn't even fully cooked. I realize when I substitute gluten free pasta I am not going to get quite the same experience, but the pasta shouldn't be crunchy. The sauce was also different in the first attempt than the second. It was a little less watery the second time, but still not very good. It was somehow bland and spicy at the same time. It was a very one-note sauce. I actually love spicy food and eat it frequently, so it is absolutely possible to make a dish with a kick that has flavor to it in addition to heat. This dish wasn't it. The most upsetting part is I actually asked our waiter for a recommendation among several items that caught my eye, and he suggested this atrocity. He was also pretty inattentive throughout the evening. It took some time to get someone's attention to get my undercooked food remedied and it took some time again to get someone to take my credit card so we could pay the bill and leave. There were a couple of tables out of the 9 inside that seemed to get outsized attention, and the staff otherwise focused their energy on the outside customers. We generally didn't feel very welcome. There were multiple other Italian places within a few blocks and we wish we'd picked one of those instead. read more

Took a friend visiting from out of town there tonight--never heard of it before, so took a total flyer based on Yelp reviews. I have to say we were all pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent. Dessert was awesome. Prices reasonable. Most importantly, it was nice and quiet so we could hold a conversation in a normal tone of voice (a key requirement for me for restaurants these days--and increasingly hard to find). Wait staff was pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. Food was delivered hot, and quickly. No sense that they were trying to shove us out the door. Will definitely return! read more

Me and my husband came here for date night and were extremely disappointed with the service and food. We made a reservation and they had us sit down. There were only three tables occupied inside but no one had checked on us and it took 10-15 minutes to bring out water. We were trying to put in our drink order in but the lady disappeared again. There really wasn't anyone waiting on us and it was all very confusing. The bartender made our drinks and it was sitting on the bar table for ages and by the time we received it was very watery. After drinks came out it took the lady a really long time before taking our order for appetizers. We ordered the food and it took well over 45 minutes for appetizers to come out and everything followed very very slowly. As we looked around and spoke to the couple on the table next to us they had mentioned that the service was extremely poor and the food was taking a really long time and they were planning on getting the checks. We ordered appetizers, salad, pizzas and even got dessert/coffee. We were a little disappointed because the pizza was not hot by the time it came to the table. The place is nicely decorated and has a good ambiance. We were excited to try it out since our friends who live nearby strongly recommend it. We were seated and waited for good 15 min for a waiter to find out that both burgers (we came especially to try the impossible burgers) and vegan Alfredo pasta are unavoidable. Big disappointment. Especially that it was the last thing to do for us before we leave the city and we wasted that time instead of being told right when we entered which items are unavailable. So two stars for the decor and nice music in the background. And probably on other days when they have everything on their menu it can be a great experience. Solid 5 star experience including food, service, and overall vibe. We stumbled upon Eduardo's roaming the Gold Coast neighborhoods. We were looking for a glass of wine, but once we saw the menu we were compelled to order the Hot Honey pizza as a snack. Wow! Perfection. High quality ingredients, perfect texture crust, and generous toppings with a touch of honey made us want to explore the entire menu. So we came back on our last night in Chicago to further indulge, and once again, we were blown away. We ordered the bruschetta with tomatoes that tasted fresh from the garden. We ordered two specials, the shrimp risotto and prosciutto and fig pizza. Again, exceptional and the risotto was specifically a surprise as it was on the lighter side and full of fresh vegetables and generous shrimp cooked perfectly. The service was friendly, prompt, and food was coursed timely. The red wine is served room temperature, and our preference is slightly cooler and they gladly accommodated with an ice bucket. The prices, including wine, are reasonable and worth every penny for the quality and quantity. This will be on our go-to list every time we visit Chicago. It's a must-experience! read more

Maybe a dozen tables inside and a lovely quiet outdoor street patio, Eduardo's cuisine is on trend with a decent selection of small plates, artisan pizzas, pastas and salads. Hidden gem! We live in this neighborhood and stumbled upon it the other day so we decided to come back for dinner. I'm glad we did! We sat out on the patio, which was lovely. It's hard to find a quiet patio in our neck of the woods. Our server, Jeff, was impeccable. He made lovely recommendations and his demeanor was perfect; present but uninterrupting. We had the crispy brussel sprouts to start and while they were great, I would ask that next time they not be SO charred. Further, we noticed they were sitting in about 2 inches of oil in the bottom of the bowl. It's a great dish..just needs a few adjustments. We both loved our meals--my boyfriend had the black ink pasta which he gobbled up and i had the sausage pizza. word to the wise: the pizzas could be split betwen 2 people. they are definitely NOT personal pizzas. We stopped by on a Saturday for brunch. It was relatively quiet and relaxed around 11am, and they were serving both the brunch and regular menu. As I am on the Whole30 diet currently, I was nervous that they wouldn't be able to provide a suitable option, but the waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. I ended up getting the Parma baked omelette with no cheese, and house potatoes. My companion got the lobster ravioli. Both dishes were cooked perfectly, and our waitress was very attentive with pouring more coffee and water for the two of us. The price was very reasonable for the Gold Coast area- two entrees and coffees for $40 including tip. The lunch and dinner menu looks amazing - I can't wait to come back once I'm off Whole30 and try some of their wine flights and pasta! read more

Lovely little hidden gem of a restaurant near Clark/Division, and a great place for small groups or dates! A friend and I stopped by for a late weekday lunch, so it was pretty empty, but I can imagine that seating can get pretty tight when it's crowded since the tables are quite close together. The atmosphere feels rustic Italian and service was top-notch. Everything on the menu looked delicious but we finally settled on: - Brussel sprouts: one of the dishes that everyone seems to recommend - for good reason! the brussel sprouts were super crispy and the caramelization gave it a sweet flavor, which combined well with the savory pancetta - Sagebutter gnocchi: really soft delicious gnocchi, topped with an over-easy egg. portion was pretty tiny though (see pic), would definitely recommend getting other stuff too if you order this - Diavola pizza: got this at the recommendation of our waiter - basically a more elegant pepperoni pizza. loved the addition of basil and truffle oil - Tiramisu: this was heavenly! different from most tiramisu's I've had in that there was only one layer of ladyfingers at the bottom so it was more creamy, but still very light Overall, very delicious high-quality food. I stumbled upon Eduardo's on accident while looking for a place to grab lunch with a friend. The place is pretty small, but had a modern and cozy vibe to it. As we walked in, we were greeted and then escorted to our table by our waitress. She gave us water and asked if we would like anything else to drink; they offer a full bar. My friend ordered the spicy Italian sausage pizza and I ordered the black ink linguini. The sausage pizza was cooked with sweet peppers and caramelized onions in a roma tomato sauce. All the ingredients complimented each other well. The crust was also cooked just right. My linguini was served with shrimp, bay scallops, and zucchini in a spicy tomato sauce. I can't compare this pasta because I never had black ink linguini before, but this one tasted delicious. The only thing I didn't like was that the linguini was stuck to each other and formed chunks. I'm not too sure if it was because it was homemade or the inexperience of the cook. But nonetheless, I still enjoyed the pasta. So if you are in the mood for decently priced Italian food, then check this place out. They don't offer a parking lot or valet, but you can find ample parking on the streets (just with the high prices of downtown.) I also can't say anything about the crowds for dinner, but the lunch crowd wasn't bad. read more

Eduardo's is this small restaurant on the corner of Division and Dearborn, post the Walgreens. I almost missed it but it was lit up so brightly that it reminded me of Dicken's Christmas Carol. The inside looks similar too. The place is small but has lots of wood and is set up to be a wine bar. Fortunately for me, they also have outstanding food. I would go here for a date or to meet an old friend for conversation in a warm and comfortable space. Went here with J and S- J and I had the Bubbles for apples- a special cocktail for Autumn. I liked it, but it was a little heavy on the apple. A little more of the St Germain would have made it a more adult drink. The food was delicious, all of it. I could have given the salad a pass though. We had the honey goat cheese, the soft cow cheese and the ham- all delicious. The cranberry sorbet they gave us with the cheeses was great too. We also had the gnocchi special with the fried egg, and the pepperoni with truffle oil pizza. Just happened to stroll by this place and frankly chose it for brunch due to the "cutesyness" of it. The menu just so happened to be perfect. Came here on a date night on Friday. They have a very cute cocktail menu, definitely try the Travel Ban! A good sized appetizer menu but I do wish they had more interesting items on there. We got the meatballs, burrata pesto with focaccia, bolognese and the margarita pizza. The bolognese was amazing to say the least. The pizza was okay, nothing special. Great hidden gem in the city! A friend and I were searching for a nice place to have brunch, and this was quite the perfect little spot! We went at 11:30am on a beautiful Saturday and were able to secure a table outside immediately. Brunch is served 10am - 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and the menu is not super extensive. However, there are enough options- both savory and sweet- to keep everyone happy. I ordered the breakfast pizza, which was topped with potatoes, pancetta, scallions, and an egg. My friend ordered the berry French toast. The food was absolutely delicious! The pizza was very thin and flavorful, and it didn't make me feel overstuffed. The French toast was melt in your mouth, and the fresh seasonal berries on top was a nice touch. They don't skimp on the berries either! I would highly recommend both. Other pros: service was attentive and kept coming around for refills; restaurant located on a side street in Gold Coast away from the hustle & bustle - a more neighborhood feel. Only con: food seemed to take a tad bit long to come out (~20-25 minutes), so I wouldn't eat here if you are in a rush. read more

We sat outside on the small patio on Saturday afternoon for lunch and had an enjoyable meal. We ordered a white wine flight to start for $16 - it was ok but we thought the pours were small and the wine average for the price. We then waited a bit longer than we would have liked to place our food order and quite a long time after that for the food to finally arrive - almost 30 minutes. The waiting was made worse by the fact that they did not offer bread like most other Italian places. The Americano panini was definitely tasty and reasonably priced at $8 although the side of giardiniera that came with it was not our thing. The short rib pizza was good although we wish there was more of the actual short rib and less of the other toppings. At $16 it also wasn't a steal but I suppose that may be comparable to other places in the city. Overall, definitely worth checking out - the interior looked nice and the patio is a nice option on a warm sunny day - I guess I just left feeling like my experience was not anything to write home about. read more

If you pass by this place when it's not outdoor seating, you may just miss this hidden gem. I decided to try this place with a client after a work morning. Walked in, was greeted kindly and was able to sit by the window. Since I love french toast, I decided to order it with the berries. It looked inviting when it came but when I tasted it, my mouth exploded in J-O-Y!!! Absolutely delicious. I have also had their flatbread pizza that is amazing. This is a small place but cozy. Came here on an early Friday afternoon. The place was not busy at all, and it was everything I expected it to be, small, intimate and reasonably priced. Great selections of wines and small bites. We ordered the shrimp avocado and the parma crostinis as well as the prosciutto and arugula rustic pizza, and to finish a slice of tiramisu, all I can say is that everything was well presented and delicious. There is a battle raging inside me, and I will tell you why: I love this place, and don't want anything to ever spoil it, and don't want to ever have it be super crowded and have to wait, BUT at the same time I love it so much that I cannot help but shout out to the world how wonderful it is, and I want them to succeed. So it seems that for once my altruism will emerge victorious and I will share this absolute gem with all of the world/(okay, just yelp, but whatever). In short, everything is fantastic. It's a quiet little spot tucked away off a very busy area in the Gold Coast, but once you step inside you could be anywhere. It is almost never crowded, and they have outdoor seating as well in the summertime. The servers are great, they have a fantastic wine list plus some beers and cocktails, and everything I've eaten is absolutely delicious. It's very easy (almost TOO easy) to spend a lot of money here because everything sounds (and IS) so good, but in general the prices are really fair for what you get. I highly, highly recommend it.
