    Brown sugar latte.
    Ci H.

Drink: Brown sugar latte made hot for me. Good, not great. Food: I picked the smaller sized skillet that came with banana bread french toast (very good), fresh fruit (very fresh with berries, melon) & skillet with goat cheese, canadian bacon (very good) & ham. Note that this is a very small sized serving which is only great for a smaller eater like me. Location/Parking: Next to downtown Deerfield Wholefoods, a breeze.

Looking for the perfect breakfast spot that gets you in and out quick and isn't a crazy amount of money? This place is it! The inside is warm and welcoming - the staff here is ultra friendly and helpful and the food is great. Everything we had here was really just what we needed. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the meats were too and the potatoes had a great taste. I do wish the Matt's meaty skillet had larger pieces of the ham, bacon and sausage - they were minced up really small. Only thing we didn't really like was the chorizo hash - bring back corned beef hash!! Great place for a quick breakfast.

For me, the best breakfast option in this area of Deerfield. Everything about this setup is great, from plenty of parking to lots of sunlight in a spacious dining room to a large menu with reasonable prices, all with fast friendly service. As a bonus, the menu has a nice variety of interesting items like habanero hash and eggs, cherrywood avocado toast, shakshuka, and Swedish pancakes -- as well as interesting drinks such as Iced Pumpkin Apple Macchiato and Pumpkin Spice Latte expresso. The food here meets the great quality I generally expect from Egg Harbor Cafe, with colorful presentation, distinct textures, bold flavors, and fresh ingredients. I really enjoyed the attention paid to the little details like the crisp edges and spongy texture of the pancakes. Or the consistency of the sauce on the lobster scrambler. Even for more mundane items like the English Muffin, I appreciate how neatly it is cut, buttered, and slightly crisped and goes perfectly with the jam. The shakshuka also had a very great balance of different flavors with the tomato-pepper-onion and nice extra boost of meatiness from the egg and flavor from the goat cheese and cilantro. This was the first time I had this dish and Egg Harbor's well executed version made me a fan. Overall, a great spot for breakfast in Deerfield with plenty of delicious and fun options for all. I'll definitely be back again in the future to explore more amazing items.

Wish the pancake was bit more crisp like the downtown location. However still better than most places near by! Food is always on point! Fast service, always satisfied to eat here! My favorite breakfast place in Chicago!

My husband and I met a friend on a Sunday morning at Egg Harbor Café. When we arrived it was busy but we were able to be seated right away. Our server was friendly. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and my husband ordered the lobster scrambler. The pancakes were just the way I like them, malty with crispy edges. Even when I was full, they were so good that I couldn't stop eating them. The lobster scrambler was good as well. The lobster was good and it came with a creamy hollandaise sauce. The jam that comes with the English muffin is also very tasty. As we were leaving the restaurant was starting to fill up and a line was forming. I had a great experience and highly recommend Egg Harbor Café!

They sell their popular mugs which come in different colors for $20 I had to buy one lol

Extensive menu with generous portions. We signed up on the waitlist on Saturday morning. When we arrived, there were ample open tables so we were seated immediately. One of us ordered a coffee and I like that they also give you a small carafe. Likewise with my Diet Coke -- they also gave me a full carafe of DC. There are many options for eggs, pancakes, Bennies and lunch items. I ordered a garden frittata and it was loaded with veggies and cheese, came with delicious harbor potatoes, an English muffin and jam. We also split a Strawberry French toast -- 3 large Texas-sized toast -- which was ok. This place gets packed on the weekends -- and staff is friendly and able to manage the hungry crowds. I also like that they bring the receipt with a QR code and you can pay by phone.

Can't really go wrong with Egg Harbor. I get my usual lobster scramble. Delicious if you like soft scramble with lobster bits and hollandaise sauce. Service is usually very good. One of the few breakfast spots with good coffee.

Awesome breakfast, big enough to share. The scramble was filled with tasty bits but the star was the maple bourbon bacon, say that without your mouth watering! Also really appreciated the loose leaf tea service It was a nice touch.

I have been to egg harbor many times over the years but the one in my hometown closed down. This was my first time at this location. Service was great! Our waiter was very kind and checked up on us. The ambiance is the family friendly breakfast vibes. Pretty consistent throughout the locations. My favorite item is the Cassie's crepes which they have since taken off the menus however, if you request it, they can make it for you using the Swedish batter. It was pretty good, and I would get again.

This is an amazing brunch place. Food and coffee were delicious, and the interior was pleasant. It can be crowded on weekends, but I was still able to be seated without waiting too long. The portion size was decent. I wasn't able to finish my coffee so they allowed me to take out, which I thought was very nice. I ate here before going to a nearby water park (Hidden Creek Aquapark) and the food lasted long. I didn't get hungry too early after hours of water activities. Highly recommend this nice place!

We drive past Grill House all the time, it has been in Northbrook for a long time (I just found out…read morethat it's been here for 9 years), however, this was the first time that we ever visited, and I am happy that we finally did! My husband and I wanted a quick and good dinner one Sunday recently, and we picked Grill House after I read some good reviews on Yelp.  Although it's a casual, fast-food-style restaurant, the menu is surprisingly extensive, with a wide variety of healthy Greek dishes. It was definitely helpful to look over their menu online before we visited, because the menu board inside could be a bit overwhelming.  I guess I still looked quite confused when I saw 2 kiosks in front of the ordering counter.  A staff behind the counter offered to help, and I just ordered directly with him.  Later of the evening I discovered that he's the friendly owner Gus. After placing our order at the counter, we were given a table number, and our food was delivered promptly.  I ordered a Chicken Souvlaki Plate ($17.50 at the time, it's now listed online for $18), while my husband ordered a Filet Mignon Souvlaki Plate ($25.50).  Each souvlaki plate included a soup or salad, rice and potato (1 piece), a side of veggies, and pita bread in a paper bag.  It was a generous amount of food! We both chose the lentil soup, which was served piping hot in a nice ceramic bowl with a lid. It was flavorful and comforting. My chicken souvlaki was tender and juicy, never dry, and both the rice and potato were delicious. We were both impressed with the quality and value of the meal. I ordered a lemonade, which is considered a fountain drink ($4.00) and comes with free refills, though I couldn't even finish my first glass. My husband would have ordered a glass of wine if we hadn't had plans afterward, so we were happy to see that Grill House also serves beer and wine for a future visit. The service was another highlight. Everyone was warm and welcoming; a special shout-out to Kevin, who was very attentive and checked in on us several times.  When I was taking photos around the restaurant, the owner Gus greeted me again, which was a nice personal touch. The restaurant itself was bright, clean, and inviting. There's also a pleasant patio for those who prefer to dine outdoors. We will definitely be back to try more dishes from their extensive menu.  I am glad that we finally gave Grill House a try!

This spot is fairly efficient so my wait times have been fairly reasonable when I make a visit here. The sandwich construction is generally pretty good, with a fairly consistent flavor. Parking is fairly plentiful here, though the shopping center can get quite busy so it may not be that easy to park super close to the restaurant (in front of here is a fairly spacious walkway, so you can't park super close to begin with). The interior is fairly standard for a Potbelly, comfortable enough to enjoy your sandwich but not necessarily somewhere where you'd sit around for a long time for a chat -- though having cookies, ice cream, and other side options does provide extra things to casually eat after the main sandwhich. Overall, solid Potbelly option if you're looking specially for their sandwiches.

The servers were friendly and helped us get our food just the way we wanted it. We took the food to go and ate it at home.
