I went to Egg N Bird because I saw their advertisement online. I ordered their Buffalo wings, dirty fries and the Vietnamese burger. The Vietnamese burger was my favorite, I enjoyed the coleslaw a lot and it was a good combination with the tender chicken. The dirty fries had a good protein and fries ratio and were also good. The wings were pretty standard, I would go with something else next time. There were a few mishaps with the service though, I put in an online order 15 minutes before and when I arrived, the cook said "I'll get to it now" and the restaurant was basically empty, so I had to wait another 15 minutes even when I made an order online. They were also out of garlic Parmesan wings and you couldn't get dirty fries without cilantro etc. read more

Hey stopped by today around 1pm. Had no clue it was the grand opening. Kids ordered chicken tenders. They gobbled them up. Hubby played it safe with the bbq wings, per usual. We also ordered an extra fry which was missing. The employees readily got it for us. I got the Korean Hot sandwich. Unfortunately, it didn't have jalapeños. Everyone was so nice and excited, I didn't have the heart to tell them it was not hot at all Stevette was ultra patient, kind and explained the menu and offered recommendations. 4 stars. The first bite of the sandwich was so good. The chicken was nice and crispy and the sauce they have was a mixture of sweet and savory and it was perfect for the chicken. The "asian slaw" they used in the FC bahn mi was really good and cut through the fat of the chicken well. The size of the sandwich was pretty good, though you are paying $10 for a chicken sandwich. I decided to add avocado to my sandwich but I think it's not too necessary since there is enough fat in the sandwich already. Although the flavors are really good and the whole is very yummy, be prepared for the messiness. It can get super messy to eat because of all the sauces and towards the bottom of the sandwich, the bun might get a little bit soggy. The dirty fries were not the most worth it in my opinion. The fries themselves weren't really anything special and by the time I started eating it, it was a bit cold and soggy. There is a lot of cheese on it which made the fries really soggy. The chicken on it felt a bit dry but it was fine. I think it's more worth it to get a bowl or another sandwich instead of the fries. We really wanted to love this place. As a family we have a strong love for hot Nashville chicken sandwiches and we were excited about trying Egg N Bird after seeing a TikTok for this location in Upland. First impression when walking in was a dirty store, tables were all dirty, floor was filthy - actual chicken pieces were all over the floor. No one welcomed us and the person at the register had his back to us for some time chatting away with the cooking staff before turning around and acknowledging we were there. I saw the staff doing this to each of the customers that arrived after us - not cool - especially for a new store. The food was alright, chicken was cooked well, it was crispy, and the flavors were good - but nothing to make those taste buds desire coming back again. I had the FC Banh Mi Sandwich and my son had the Nashville Hot Sandwich. The buns were toasted on the inside but cold on the outside which was strange. Also, I noticed the fries were being set up on the hot plate about 20+ minutes before each meal was completed. So we had very cold fries and so did every other order we saw. Fries should be hot, fresh, and made to order. We ordered the Buff Bird and FC Banh Mi, and vinegar slaw. All items were flavorful and fresh. The combination of the slaw and the sauce on the Buff Bird worked together well. The FC Banh Mi literally smelled like a traditional Banh Mi with its fresh cilantro and pickled radishes. The chicken on both sandwiches was moist with a crunchy outer shell. Came here on Saturday night 2/25, and it was fairly slow. One or two take-out orders from what I've seen when walking in. Honestly, if I were the business owner, I'd cut some labor down based on sales trends because there were 6 workers in this empty store. We ordered and decided to do dine-in and while we waited, 3 guys were on lunch break eating in the dining room; kind of uncomfortable since they were talking loud and with the guys on the clock in the front. They don't have their own break area, I guess. We got our order in a to-go bag, and my friend reminded that we stated for dine-in. The guy says, "My bad," not really caring for his mistake. Probably because he was too occupied having a conversation with the guys on their break. Could have saved on all the plastic used to pack our meal. The two cooks in the back start blasting their own music even though there's already music playing in front of the house. The 3 guys finish their lunch break, get up, and get back to talking to the guys in the front. Like seriously, cut the labor down. You really only needed 1 cook, 1 guy to take orders, and 1 to clean for this night. My friends ENB burrito was super greasy , and they even threw away the tortilla wrap cause it was soaked in oil. We were at a school event down the road for bowling and school pictures. My boys are enrolled in online school so we came out from the Palm Springs area to attend. My boys and I were leaving the school event and we were hungry. The closest thing to the bowling alley was Del Taco, but I really wanted to try some thing different. I found Egg N Bird on Yelp and it had great reviews and awesome photos of the food. We drove an extra 20 minutes to Upland, further opposite from home to try out Egg N Bird! The restaurant is located in a small strip mall off the main road. It was the brightest establishment there. I loved the yellow. I expected it to be a café style restaurant based on the photos but it's more of a commercial type of restaurant. No matter! We saw some tables coming out of the restaurant and they were being placed into a large truck. My first thought was that they were not open. But we saw people sitting inside and went on in. Nick, who I was told later is from corporate, held the door open for us and gave as big welcome. MJ is the cook and manager and he welcomed us from the kitchen window as we walked in the door! Soo nice! Wow! April was the cashier, and she was also super friendly and welcoming. What a great first impression!! One of my boys had the Nashville hot sandwich, one had the super bird, and I had the Avo-holic. My youngest son, rounded out the order with chicken strips and fries. The seasoned fries are amazing! I wish I would've taken some pictures of what we ordered, but we were so hungry we dug right in. They all asked how everything was and were so kind to check on us. I decided to order another tray of seasoned fries, but April was busy helping another customer. I waited patiently and Nick was behind the counter and he took my order, and then took it to the table. I was still waiting for April to finish with the customer so could pay for my fries but Nick said they were on him! What a kind gesture! I found out they've only been open for a couple months, but have three other stores in other cities. My boys said that coming here was the best part of our trip. I'd have to agree. We hope to be by this way sometime soon because we will definitely go out of our way to stop here again! Was going to Subway next door and saw this recently-opened chicken restaurant next to it and was intrigued. As soon as I entered I was greeted with a big smile and very clean-looking place. Bela the cashier helped us in a way no other fast food restaurant has before. She offered to help with anything we needed. UPDATE: downgrading this from two stars to one star. My friend and I ended feeling horrible a couple hours after eating here. Not sure what it was about the food, but I had bubble guts all night. I felt like I wanted to vomit a few times. Give it a shot. It's not bad, but it's not amazing. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich at the hot spice level wasn't that hot. I'd compare it to a howlin' rays mild, which might be the point because not everyone likes their sandwiches hot. There was too much slaw, sauce, and pickle on the sandwich and it overpowered what little flavor the chicken had. It also soaked the buns and they had fallen apart as I picked it up. I dined in and the chicken wasn't piping hot, so it made me rethink how fresh it was. The one good thing that the chicken had going for it was the breading and it's crunch. The breading didn't fall off easily like many other places and it had a nice crunch to it. If it had more flavor I would bump this up. If Dave's hot chicken is par, then this is below par. Worse service and management ever. I placed an order on GrubHub and specifically asked for white rice. They delivered the food and the rice was not in the order. (The rice is for my 2 little boys) I called to check on my rice and they acknowledged it was missed. Instead of offering to bring a rice to my house they offered me a free rice on my next order. I kept asking the person on the phone how does that solve the problem. They kept deflecting and even refused to bring the rice. When I asked for a manager they said the manager is not in on weekends. So I asked for a manager to call me when they are in and never got a call. I am a small business owner myself and I understand the importance of customer service and customer satisfaction.
