The dish I had was an amazing experience I enjoyed it very much. I had one of their signature omelets paired with fried potatoes and a strawberry lemonade We ate on the patio. We enjoyed listening to a street musician and that only added to the ambience. It was a great time I noticed by surrounding tables that everyone seemed to be enjoying their dining experience as well . Breakfast heaven! This place gets it. Get there before the rush or you'll wait at least 30-minutes. It took me hours to figure out which four-egg omelette I wanted. I finally settled on lucky #80. It had Ortega Chile's, bacon, tomatoes, and jack cheese. It was incredible and served with country potatoes and sourdough toast. The wait can literally be over an hour and a half. You can't make a same day reservation so at least give them 24hrs. PARKING: A few spots in front. Once seated the service was prompt and professional. The tables and chairs were comfortable and the restaurant has an very inviting feeling to it. They have an extensive breakfast menu and a decent lunch menu. We ordered off the breakfast menu. I ordered a omelette off their huge omelette menu. On weekends, there might be a line, but it moves fairly quickly, and the food is worth the wait. The Egg Plantation is always a wonderful experience. The wait staff is pleasant and polite and the restaurant is always clean and has maintained its beautiful rustic atmosphere. My only complaint, as an African-American,is its name. It can be offensive to some. However, I'm sure it wasn't done with negative intentions . Yet at this time, people are not that accepting of a name that basically glamorizes a place that was essentially a concentration camp for enslaved African people. Thank you for letting me express my opinion and l hope you will consider changing the name to one that has positive connotations for all. read more

Worked up an appetite after a hike and had this place on my mind. It was quite busy as I expected on a Saturday morning/afternoon. It was about a 30-35 min wait for 2 people. Which wasn't that bad in my opinion. It was my first time here and I literally wanted to try everything on the menu but we only ordered the blueberry muffin French toast, Syd's omelette burrito style and Tea's omelette. The service was slow but only because of how busy it was which is only a testament to their popularity. If you're not a patient person, you don't need to come here. They seem to be pet friendly as they allowed pets in the outdoor dining area. It's pretty tight quarters also so if you're shy about sitting close to strangers, again, this place is probably not for you. Our server was very nice and tried his best to assist us. Stopped by this cozy breakfast spot. Tried the classic benedict and the classic mary. Both were really good and done right!

I really wanted to like this place, but I feel others should be warned. We waited outside to be seated for about 15 minutes and had our drink order taken promptly. We put in our food order and the disaster started. Our sever was not attentive. I'm not sure if it's because we were seated on their "patio" which basically ended up being an alleyway in between buildings. We ended up waiting for our food for over an hour. We watched as others came and went who arrived and ordered after us. Our server didn't admit fault and blamed it on the kitchen, obviously not true if all other customers were eating. It got so bad we were ready to walk out and go to McDonald's. The whole experience was terrible and we voiced our concerns. We were assured a manager would "take care of us". What did we get? A 10% discount. Wow... a whole $5 off our check. The manager wouldn't even come face us, everybody just wanted to pass the blame to the next person. This was our last day in town and Egg Plantation ruined the last day of our vacation by delaying our trip to Magic Mountain. This nearly 2 hour excursion of being held captive for overpriced food should be a warning to all. Thanks Egg Plantation for making us regret supporting local businesses. read more
