    Crab Rangoon
    Candace T.

This place was packed! I had the hot and sour soup, and it was so good that I'm planning to get a quart to take home. I ordered the cashew chicken dinner, while my husband ordered the pork egg foo young. Our meals came with fried rice, and mine included an egg roll as well. The wait for our food was quite long, but I understand why--they were busy, with customers lined up out the door. To make up for the wait, they generously brought around plates of crab Rangoon. The egg roll was excellent, and my husband said the egg foo young was the best he's ever had, which is quite the compliment since he orders it regularly. My cashew chicken was very good, and the fried rice was decent. I also noticed that many people were enjoying the pho; it looked amazing. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to you. However, it is very noisy, so if you prefer a quiet dining experience, this place may not be for you.

Friendly and quick service. A large menu but they are happy to sneer any questions. We've been several times and I usually get the Bun (vermicillie bowl) but this time tried the curry noodles. Delicious. Meat was tender and perfect spice level. We also enjoy their vietnamese soups, banh mi, sesame balls, Thai tea, and Vietnamese egg rolls.

Good size restaurant with plenty of tables. I went around 3pm and there were about 10-15 people. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. I ordered a bowl of pho ga (chicken). It was a good size bowl with all the goodies. I was feeling sick and pho ga always works especially when it's spicy. I was just driving through the area and I highly recommend this authentic place. Go check it out.

Never fails to satisfy my craving for pho. I feel like I'm cheating if I go somewhere else :/ The staff is quick to take your order and as long as it's not the weekend you should be guaranteed a table.

No doubt about it. The pho here is better than most. Very flavorful with plenty of noodles and ingredients. It's also the most reasonably priced. There's a reason this spot is bookmarked as a favorite for me.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Indianapolis. Not to be dramatic but I could get the Pho Tai every day. I order mine spicy and really like it that way. Everyone there is so kind and helpful. Both dining in and take out from there is incredible every time. It's always busy, but the line always moves very quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend!

Extra spicy Garlic Chicken & Hunan Beef

HANDS DOWN my favorite place to get pho or Chinese the Pho is a hug to your soul. The extra spicy garlic chicken is so good and so is the Hot Hunan Beef! I've tried almost everything here I'd say the orange chicken is really good too. Hidden gem if you've never had it. The people who run the place work super hard this place is super busy. Best pho I've had ever, cures everything. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

All I can say is.....amazing!! I have heard lots about how great this place is, but I hadn't given it a try yet until I was invited by a friend. I was on the fence about ordering pho or a dish that had rice. I decided on a spicy beef pho, and it was the right choice! I love that it was served with a generous portion of jalapenos, sprouts, basil, and cilantro! I was never a huge fan of basil in my pho until this place. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! My broth was perfectly spicy, and the beef was so tender. I love the texture of the noodles in this dish, and I love the crunch that the added vegetables give to the meal. My friend ordered crab rangoons which I got to try, and they were incredible as well! The service was so fast! You order at a counter and they deliver to your table. The whole restaurant has a simple but great vibe to it. You can tell that people come there to get a for-sure good meal. I think a family was celebrating someone's birthday there which is a sign that it's a good place! I will definitely be back!! I know there's a location closer to me, but I have heard they don't have pho there so I might have to travel back to this place just for the pho!!

Her mom wanted some egg rolls & crab Rangoons

I LOVE this place!!! I never ever had any issues... Their food is soooo flavorful! The only down side is that it's always super busy... there's always a huge line but it's well worth it!

I ended up getting several pastries and some bagels (as why would you not), as well as their broccoli salad, cheese sandwich and some cherry pie. Yum! She wanted to take a Rueben home to her husband but it was a flight away, so the staff let her buy all the fixings and then make it at home. Amazing! It traveled well that way and got to be enjoyed by others. Will always go back to this spot as it has a special place in my heart as my Dad loved it, and it is an I su classic!

I'm not a deli kind of guy…read more But, there's just something about Shapiro's that makes me smile. I'm a lifelong hoosier, and I've always had times when I simply needed to go to Shapiro's. I've shared, quite often, of my deep appreciation for the Shapiro's response when I had accessibility concerns about their Fashion Mall location. They did a remarkably beautiful job of responding well, adapting, and yet also honoring their own business needs. The end result became a more accessible layout that was still customer friendly for everyone. I will always appreciate that response and should their praises. But, there's something special about this location. It's the look. It's the feel. It's the vibe. It's just everything. A little bit of Shapiro's history - you can trace the Shapiro family back to 1795 Ukraine. Louis and Rebecca Shapiro landed stateside in 1905; within a couple years opening a small grocery/deli. In 1925, they leaned into their cultural and faith roots after the election of Ed Jackson as governor (Jackson was a well-known Klan member). They added the word "kosher" to their building and a Star of David. (As someone who's traveled over 7,000 miles by wheelchair, I love a good act of subtle rebellion). They more and more leaned into their cafe routes, and in 1984 added a second location on the northwestside. I probably frequented this location the most since I went to Pike High School. As we all know, that location eventually closed. Fashion Mall lasted about five years. There was a Carmel spot, too. But, for me, it always comes down to this location. It's warm. It's friendly. The food is a premium deli experience. I love the meatloaf (like seriously). They have breakfast, they have a ton of baked good options (cakes, cookies, others), soups, salads, hot deli, cold deli, sandwiches, entrees, and a whole lot more. I love the baked goods. I love the fried chicken. Is it a bit pricey? Yep. You also get enough for at least a couple meals (if you can truly hold out that long). Accessibility is solid here. I've already talked about their attention to that kind of detail. It's real AND it's sincere. Strangely enough, I've never had the Reuben here. It's one of their acclaimed sandwiches, but there's always something else I want more. While you can spend a fair amount here, you can also eat here pretty modestly. Shapiro's, at least for me, is one of those places that defines Indy. I'd likely weep if they ever left our city. Good food. Great family. Wonderful location. Fair pricing. Accessible. Quite honestly, it's just about everything I want a restaurant to be.

It is conveniently located on the 2nd floor of The InterContinental hotel. The host stand for the restaurant is located directly across from what appeared to be the guest check-in desk. It was a little confusing. Several of the items on the menu were very appealing, the B&B Omelet, Croque Monsieur, and Ribeye French Dip to name a few, but I opted for the Little Gem Caesar with Blackened Salmon. My husband ordered The Traveler with eggs over-medium. Everything was perfectly prepared. The proportions for the salad were just right and the salmon was juicy, flavorful and crisp from the blackening. My husband wasn't expecting the somewhat unique preparation of the breakfast potatoes, but I found them to be satisfyingly crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I also ordered the seasonal Strawberry Margarita with a sugar rim. It was light and refreshing. The atmosphere is very chic, stylish and feels very upscale. The dining room, and even the restrooms, boast this amazing natural light from all of the great, big windows! Our server, Roop, was kind and attentive and the hostess was warm and inviting. We will definitely return to try some of the other offerings in the future. Very cute brunch spot!

The fish was so fresh, and you could genuinely taste the nori, which makes a huge difference. We branched out and tried the Kumamoto oysters too. Worth it. They're tinier than your typical oyster and came with a range of flavors from the seasonings and sauces. Honestly, we wish they'd been served more simply because we wanted to compare them to the ones we've had in Japan, and all the sauce made that tough. Still a fun order though. Skip the Seafood Pot, in our opinion. It tasted like Bird's Nest to us and just wasn't anything special compared to everything else. Bottom line: come for the sushi. It's the standout, and it's what'll bring us back. With ramen, hibachi, bubble tea, and a full bar also on the menu, there's plenty to explore on a return visit.
